Riley throwing it to you I know you talked about recording a video talking about the Buffalo saber season so far there’s probably a lot of things to talk about whether it’s David Urich as a Target I know Columbus Blue Jackets fans are talking about that right now him wanting out there’s a lot of stuff talk about stuff behind the scenes like that’s the situation right now behind the scenes but beyond that man I mean I just mentioned the Dylan cousins struggles uh obviously Tage Thompson injury you could probably go in so many different directions but uh where’s your head at with the the Sabers in that Atlantic um I’m I’m pretty good man like I I think I think that uh they’re showing me they’re very up and down right now but I do like the projections I mean if you take out those two games over in uh on the other side of the ocean um we’re we’re looking pretty good they they got shellacked in those two but other than that we’ve been playing pretty well Tage out does suck but I think he’ll be back very very shortly um Dylan cousins struggling right now that that really sucks and it also points into the point of the video I made last tonight that will hopefully be out soon um because Dylan cousins is struggling because Tage is out um a lot of light is going into why we traded away Casey middl stat last year which is really really tough um anything anything that uh bow and Byrum does um it just shows like everybody online’s like oh why did we get rid of middle stat look at what we got at 2C Dylan cousins is struggling looks like he lost uh uh his knowledge of how to play hockey so um online has been tough this year for the Sabers but especially when you look at Casey middle stat in his point production he’s got 19 or 20 points now in 20 games something along those lines and uh they look good when you’re just like trying to prove a point on Twitter but if you look deeper into it I mean he’s a minus 13 and half of his points are on the power play with McKinnon marar and Randon so like it really like I don’t know why we’re sitting here complaining about Bowen Byam who’s got 11 points in 18 games as a defenseman is a plus seven which is better than minus 13 and none of those points are on the power play um but then again I do think it’s because Dylan cousins has been struggling which is why uh middle setat it’s more because Dylan cousins are struggling than anything bym could ever do we got a three-headed monster on the blue line right now with doing power and uh and Byrum also another thing um bringing McLoud I think more than fills out uh middle stats rle as the three third Center I see you want to say something but I was just gonna say clickbait title Ryan mccloud’s a star continue dude he is a star but uh he he’s not playing on the power play at all he’s got eight less points than middle stat so he’s got six goals and 12 points he is also a plus seven and the biggest thing not the biggest thing but the most underrated thing is the Sabers have lost seemingly every face off over the last two years and like it’s valuable some people say it’s not valuable I think it’s pretty valuable Casey middle stat is a 41% on the draw this year Ryan McLoud is at 52% we haven’t I don’t even know if we had a guy over 50% last year so just that value McLoud is taking all of our big draws all draws with two minutes left in the game like any big draw McLoud is out there taking him and that just something we didn’t have last year especially with Casey midat and McLoud would like to add he’s playing with Jordan Greenway who I I have always defended but people call him a boat anchor so um he’s playing with a boat anchor that’s your words not mine and um are we still going here yeah we’re going we’re good I was going to say that uh I never called him a boat anchor I know there’s a lot of Sabers Twitter that’s uh the high criticism has been going but uh Riley if you could hear me who’s the worst though is it Matias Samuelson this season yeah the worst has got to be uh the worst is guy you know what I I think uh he’s he’s a bit of a a scapegoat as well um I don’t really think there’s guys who have been playing too poorly I mean Lindy Ruff has definitely pointed out Matia samelson with the healthy scratches and then he gets back in and he’s and uh he gets injured for week to week so that sucks for him Yoki Haru I didn’t think Yoki Haru was playing bad with Dalene and then he hasn’t seen the ice in the last six games so that’s something where I mean we’d have to add a pick on but uh maybe Yoki areu for E swap um could work out we’d obviously have to add but um I was going to say buffo will definitely have to add a good chunk there but um you know what my hot take is I was gonna say Riley and I would love to hear from Sab fans is you’ve relied on drafting so much to build up this team would you be willing to bet on a guy like jur be the immediate partner next to power you have immediately one of the best and brightest top fours in the league with Dian Byrum power EUR a che would you be willing to trade the 2025 first round pick attach it to Yogi Haru if it means bringing in your a check I know that’s a lot but at the same time that’s the incentive for Columbus to do that deal because Buffalo might not be good still top five protected maybe yeah maybe I don’t think that this is what this team needs right now um if you’re looking at like we have so many rookie mistakes on the dend already like power makes some byon makes some rookie mistakes um I just don’t think we need another rookie defenseman not that those two previous mentioned guys are I think we’d more look at a guy from Pittsburgh like uh Patterson so but I would be interested in Euro I just know if we got him it would be rookie mistake rookie mistake Twitter would go nuts over oh why’ we give away our first round pick for this guy like we just have no patience anymore we really don’t yeah that’s fine I I was goingon to say though that peton like talking about the Sabers situation right now like if you’re trading a first- round pick for a rental and you lose pson in the offseason I think that’s a lot more damaging to the situation for Buffalo right now than maybe not a first round pick but I mean making a trade for pson I know they want uh young young prospects which we have a boatload of so yeah I was sorry no go ahead noan I I was just going to say Riley and I were joking about this before the season is is maybe revisiting that samelson and far betray that Sab some Sabers fans didn’t like us talking about I liked it I I no I didn’t like it right I can’t remember I forgot I think maybe you didn’t like I was against it cuz I do like Samuelson but now uh you’re I didn’t know about the under 26 by and I’m looking at it right now with Samson so um apparently yeah it’s way cheaper to buy somebody out under 26 and uh he’s he’s flirting with it right now that’s for sure I think a good ad for the Sabers could be looking over to Kary Rasmus Anderson your right defenseman to play with diene we’ll get into the that’s like dream territory man tournament top pairing of D Anderson both Rasmus Nolan you’re getting Riley too amped up might need to end up pod [Laughter] early McKenzie weager over in cogri is real nice too but he’s on a no move Clause so yeah Rasmus Anderson would be uh this is John’s clickbait he Rasmus Anderson to the Sabers mark it up Mark it up
