welcome back all right news of the day video for all you find people on the internet for your Monday November the 25th uh starting at the top with the New York Rangers so Rangers management apparently not happy with how that road trip came to an end that six to2 loss and that’s after they’ lost against Calgary as well uh and apparently according to Elliott fredman they’re looking at shaking things up so they’ve been working the phones uh names have been mentioned including apparently Chris krier and Jacob trouba again Elliot Freedman reporting this uh I don’t think trouba is going anywhere krider’s an interesting name uh he does have I think it’s nine goals no assists yet this season um yeah krider’s definitely an interesting name to have out there I I think that there would be teams that would call and see what the asking price would be for krider the problem being that a lot of teams are at the salary cap right now so probably be Dollar in dollar out I I I do think there’s enough teams right now that are potentially looking at a move that we could see the trade market pick up it’s a shame we don’t see trades like we used to in the Hockey League it’s one of those things that and I I don’t wax poetic about the past very often when it comes to the NHL but I I do miss when there was more trades there are times where I think people wax poetic about about an era that maybe they’re remembering as being a little bit better than what it was at the time but hey that’s just me uh but let me know if you’re a Rangers Fan what kind of changes you’d like to see them make would would a move involving krider make sense and what should the Rangers be doing right now I I think think they need to figure out how to start games on time a little better and stop allowing so many shots as well uh they did it against calary they did it against Evon they need to be better defensively so let me know what change you think they should make uh Montreal not looking at making changes at this point but their lineup should be changing soon in that Patrick l was spotted in a regular Jersey today but Marty s Louie uh pours some cold water on the idea of line a returning now uh now meaning tomorrow against Utah by saying that he’s unlikely to play before the end of the week that he’ll probably not play and they don’t they they play uh Tuesday they play Wednesday Yeah Tuesday Wednesday and then they play Saturday Sunday so maybe Saturday’s game would be the one where Lon would return to the lineup and by return I mean making his season debut regular season debut anyways with Montreal unless he count the preseason games which the NHL officially really doesn’t so yeah getting line back into the lineup will be great uh until then it looks like raw might get a chance they recalled raw today we’ll see if he stays up for tomorrow’s game a lot of teams playing with the salary cap right now moving players up and down day by day doing what I think was pioneered by Mike Gillis I remember Mike Gillis doing that with Vancouver Canucks many years back and think he was kind of crazy oh guys would be getting demoted on a Monday brought up on a Tuesday demoted on a Wednesday and it was all about trying to uh you know build up as much much cap space as he can for deadline time so when I see guys getting recalled and sent down I I kind of have to pick and choose what’s on the board so it doesn’t necessarily mean raw is going to play just that he was recalled we’ll see if he’s in the lineup tomorrow uh Brock besser in a full contact jersey for the Canucks this is great news for the Canucks and their fans looks like he may very well play tomorrow against Boston we’ll see what the official word is soon but he’s wearing a regular Jersey and he’s skating on a line with bler and Heinen at practice once you see players skating on a certain line at practice wearing the full contact Jersey there’s a really good chance they’re going to play so putting it with Bluer and Heinen would be because that top six is humming right now so if you could get a third line humming as well why not uh yeah so Brock besser being back would be huge for Vancouver they could use that goal scoring uh in their lineup and yeah Canucks getting healthier would be would be great um Ottawa the team that Vancouver just beat so uh Coach Travis Green when talked to about Brady kachuck and the fact that kachuck had 21 penalty minutes against Vancouver uh he defends him says that you know he plays the game the way he plays it he plays it on the edge and that that’s that’s just how he plays he doesn’t want to re him in and I I don’t know that reigning him in is necessarily I mean on some level yeah I I would prefer if kachuck didn’t take as many penalties as he does uh I think that with a captain it’s important to not take those 21 minutes and penalties you can’t make as much of a difference in the game as you’d like by being in the box or or just you know being somewhat of a distraction I think Brady kachu is one of the most talented players in the league when he’s on uh but it it it can be a bit distracting with him at times so it doesn’t sound like Travis Green has any concern about it um I’ve watched Ottawa I’ve talked about this for the last couple years that kachu temperament at times uh I I don’t know that it’s necessarily helping the team uh I know too and it said in the article that the S do want him to fight less than what he’s been doing I don’t think they want him to fight at all I I’m always horrified in a game when somebody who’s you know a pretty good offensive player gets into a fight with the idea that yeah you can break your hand you can break a knuckle you could end up being out for a couple of weeks uh but that brings me to the other news with the Ottawa Senators or at least the second of third pieces news related to the Senators archim Zu broke his foot against the canu on a shot block so he’s out indefinitely and I I have always been old-fashioned in that I think that some of these shot blocks players do these days are just crazy and some of the injuries that take place just insane because they don’t have the same amount of equipment as a goenda basically with the idea of make sure the goalie can see it not that you block it but make sure the goalie can see it because if the goalie can see it he’ll very likely save it and in this day and age now it’s just everybody drops it is is so weird you go back and watch hockey 20 30 years ago compared to now and yeah when you’re taking that shot they just make sure the goalie can see it back then and now it’s just everybody drop everybody blocked that shot and I know it’s Fearless I know people are always applauding these guys for blocking him and all I think is man if he just shattered his ankle or broke his foot and so zub’s going to be out for a while Ottawa already struggling that’s not going to help the defense uh mchan has cleared waivers which is not a huge surprise uh mchan will be very likely sent down to Belleville then uh so they have that that room for that move of bringing up a stap check but yeah ottawa’s ottawa’s kind of a bit of a mess right now and it is up to to Travis Green and the rest of management the coaching staff to get this figured out your three stars of the week this week Zack rensky of the Columbus Blue Jackets three games two goals five assists seven points darn you NHL stars of the week I was going to talk about how Zach rensy was kind of a Hidden Gem I wanted to do video on players having great Seasons we’re not talking about and now we’re talking about Zack rinsky he’s been absolutely amazing for Columbus this is easily the best season he’s ever had I think uh if you’re a Columbus fan you can let me know your thoughts but they’ve got something working on the Blue Jackets right now uh ranton in three games two goals five assists seven points as well he’s the second star of the week for Colorado uh your third star of the week is wall of the Toronto Maple Leafs 2 and0 964 safe percentage this week and a shut out as well so so let me know your thoughts on the stars of the week there’s always the conversation of who got robbed and isn’t in the star of the week but they do try to rotate them and I sometimes think they like to have a goal tender in there when they can so I I I think it’s something fun to discuss in a video like this I don’t take it that seriously necessarily uh Seth Jarvis so if you’re a Kane’s fan good news Seth Jarvis is poised to return tonight against Dallas the bad news for the colum for Carolina fans is ketov has entered concussion protocol which can be dicey sometimes you’re in concussion protocol for a little while sometimes you’re in there for quite a while and it means that you have Martin and parrot as the goal tending tandem for Carolina things get a little bit more difficult uh for the Carolina Hurricanes at this point uh unless they go out and find a goal tender on the market I would be very surprised if Carolina’s not working the phones looking to find some help in net at least temporarily uh sort of like you know Rhymer was in Anaheim for a little bit kakenan was in Colorado for a little bit maybe looking for that kind of a goal tender uh a little bit more a little bit more time probably needed by Carolina with a goenda ketov again there’s no time timeline for return and if they’re looking to bring somebody in who doesn’t have an NHL contract Martin Jones never did get one I don’t know if Martin Jones Is In Shape right now to play NHL hockey but he still doesn’t have a contract so that’s that’s the one that comes to mind off the top of my head uh Carill capriso for the Minnesota Wild is a a game time decision tonight against Winnipeg so Minnesota Winnipeg means uh my wife will have a game to watch tonight she’ll enjoy very much and uh Boston Vancouver is tomorrow so kind of an interesting uh schedule and Quirk that the NHL has there that my wife gets to watch her two favorite teams play tonight and then tomorrow I’ll get a chance to to check out my two favorite teams playing although I won’t be home tomorrow no when the game’s on anyways and so tomorrow night’s review is going to be pretty late but I’ll try to watch what I can on my phone and probably take some notes CU I’m nerd and uh yeah so there you go uh but caprisa being a game time decision is a much much better uh news piece than what some might have thought uh when he got injured last week Patrick Kane upper body injury for him is going to keep him out day today uh Kane is still a top six forward in the NHL but you can see in Detroit that he’s not the same St Patrick kany was a decade ago which is is fine that’s just how the aging process works trust me I know and uh Patrick Kane being out that’s going to hurt a Detroit team that was already struggling with goal scoring and going into this game tonight against the Islanders a set where they’ve won the first two meetings they’re looking to make it three in a row we’ll see if they can do that uh Jim Montgomery went talked to about the offer he got to coach the St Louis Blues he initially thought Doug Armstrong was just calling him to give him a pep talk like hey keep your head up there’ll be some other job don’t worry and it was a call to say hey how would you like the job and the blues saying that the reason banisters out Montgomery’s in is because Montgomery became available Montgomery was an assistant coach with the St Louis Blues prior so he already is well acquainted with a lot of the blues players and that should help with the process of getting used to him and tonight St Louis is in New York against the Rangers so it’s very interesting you have a team that’s fired the coach in St Louis and you have a team and the Rangers that are looking at potentially making changes should make for a pretty entertaining game so we’ll see how that one turns out tonight but let me know your thoughts and finally I wanted to talk about this today I have been meaning to to talk about this for a bit uh West Coast kids Foundation is the charity that I have partnered with in the past I did not tell them I was going to mention them in a video here a very good charity that is uh located um about a 45 minute drive from my place here and they do good work uh their work is around the idea of you know kids dealing with cancer diagnosis and their treatments and it’s more about supporting the family as well the idea that you know when when say you’ve got four kids and one of them is going through all these treatments they will look to make sure that the other kids are taken care of as well the family’s taken care of and that kind of thing and I will link to their website in the description to this video because there is still like description to videos where they have links and stuff um I know it’s not as prominent on YouTube as it used to be and I know people don’t click on it as much as they used to but any money that’s given uh you have a choice too of of where that money is going to go they have a few different areas that they spend it in and yeah West Coast Kids is a great charity uh they’re they’re very transparent about who they’re helping and what they’re doing with the money and uh they’re they’re great people as well so if you haven’t already checked them out do so and that’s why I wore cancer Jersey for the preview and I’m wearing another hockey fights cancer one now so that’s that’s my um hockey fights cancer contribution and of course we’re right around Christmas and cancer doesn’t take time off for Christmas sadly so there are still kids going through that at Christmas time so it’s a great boost uh when they get some
