exclusive the Yankees have upu the Annie they have officially upu their bid for Juan stto trying to bring back their coveted star and understandbly so as we are now reaching phase two round two whatever you want to call it of the bidding war for Juan stto and the Yanks aren’t the only one their Arch Rivals and the Red Sox have essentially done the same exact thing according to SNY that was reporting north of 10 hours ago now so we’re going to Deep dive not only how the Red Sox and now the Yankees currently feel in their reported pursuit of stto services but how it Compares contrast to generational of a talent he is you all know how generational of a talent he is and we all know that when it comes to WAN sto and his future he would be absolutely a lightning rod and then some for the next 10 15 years for any team that would have the luxury of acquiring him there on a massive contract this off season stto is coming off of not only tremendous campaign and hopefully as a Mets fan I say this his one and only year there in the Bronx but what we also know when it comes to WAN sto is that he loves to be the face the star especially of a big organization and that is a heavy point of emphasis along with you know north of $700 million doesn’t hurt but the Red Sox are really trying to sell on the history of the Boston Red Sox and his ability to perform so well in Fenway Park that he could put up better numbers there especially with how the right field is looking in comparison to any other ballpark in Major League Baseball the Yankees up their offer that we just heard according to John Heyman of the New York Post and had said piece you know the Yankees you know they they are in a position where they felt the need to up their offer up the yany over the past couple days they have also let Wan stto know that they are willing to put opt outs in the contract for his Services as that was always going to be the case for stto that was looking for right around a north of a 15-year deal which would give him a ridiculous term and potentially the highest a and highest overall contract in major league history should he gets his 700 plus million dollar to be right in the upper echelon there with SH Otani but something that I definitely want to make note of here and this also has to do with the Dodgers as we looked at more deferred money for Blake Snell I believe it was North the 60 million or so of his contract that’s deferred with a $52 million signing bonus so that’s how they really are able to circumvent as some would rightfully argue and say hey we can avoid the luxury tax threshold plenty by doing these things here’s the thing even if the Yankees say decid to throw out deferments which we have no clue if they’ve even considered that to this point publicly at least the Red Sox the Blue Jays obviously the Dodgers because they’re going to be looking for a shorter term contract High a to get the job done for his Services something that the Mets and Steve Cohen continue to separate themselves from is the fact that they are far from need needing or riant on that to be the case the Mets can give again Juan stto the highest contract offer far and away and it’s not going to make them break a sweat at all for still adding to the rotation and adding to other aspects of their lineup not the way that we know other owners and other GMS are stressy at the moment as they reach north of that $300 million Plateau for the luxury tax threshold at 90% which is an absolutely ridiculous tax we know this thanks to Steve Coen coming in because God forbid Steve Coen was the worst in baseball he’s going to change the game terribly when the LA daughters go out and spend 1.2 billion on offseason but we won’t talk about that right not to get on a tangent there but what I do really want to hone in on is the ability of the Mets not needing to be riant on any special contract structure any deferred payments to land Juan stto they can give a massive signing bonus right away to stto pretty much anything he’s looking for that’s within reason and exactly why the Yankees and the Sox have up their offer is until proven otherwise until we find out reportedly through John hayon through Jeff passon through Ken Rosenthal through anyone there in the respective baseball reporting space that the Mets have up their offer it clear it clearly appears as we have now entered round two phase two of the bidding bidding that the Mets were the top dog until proven otherwise again if we find out a report later today or tomorrow what have you that the Mets are now upping the their offer that reportedly that they did not have the top offer initially on the table then that’s a completely different discussion and we will glad not necessarily gladly but we’ll have that then and we’ll talk about it then but when looking at the Red Socks when looking at the Blue Jays when looking at the daughters and looking at the Yankees we know the Red Sox are heavily involved here and I would say the Red Sox are the third biggest team in this mix along with the Yankees and the Mets they’re really nipping out the heels they’re trying to sell the best of their ability on the Red Sox as an organization their fantastic history there their ability to win championships and even though that a lot of history goes in with the Yankees there’s no denying that one looking at a city in general Boston has been fantastic if you’re going to include New England as well one looking at consistent winners year after year from either the hockey front from either what we see there on the baseball front outside the past number of years because they really haven’t spent since they won it all back in 2018 or so with JDM former Mets Legend now uh who have you uh this is certainly an area where the Mets again can find themselves pouncing beautifully beyond what they initially have put down now Carlos spga as we talked about over the past date on the channel folks and I’ll reiterate this just in case any of you guys missed it or unaware this was reaffirmed through Daily Mail us but Carlos ferga former New York metropolitan did report yesterday that he does believe that the Mets are in agreement with Juan soda at $700 million which goes in hand as to why we’re now hearing the offers up the Annie from the Yankees from the Red Sox at minimum now bayera also famously said north the two weeks ago that the Mets had a $660 million contract to offer at the table for stto when John Heyman and others at least since then refuted that any contracts were sent out there and contracts have officially unveiled over the past couple of days now so I don’t know if we should take Carlos SPO with anything more than a grain assault because he did get the Jus verer contract pretty much spoton right over $80 million or a multi-year deal there a couple years ago before anyone else really had a widespread reported he’s also gone things wrong with Freddy Freeman going to Toronto Blue Jays among others in recent years so take that information as you will once we hear it reaffirmed by others obviously I’ll be a lot more exstatic and confident but it’s also something to bear in that John Heyman is having this leak there from the Red Sox to now the Yankees if this isn’t a a obvious leverage play I don’t know what is and obviously when I see leverage play that goes in favor and against the Mets it’s not always in their favor what I mean by that is a lot of the little things that are leaked when it comes to wano and the Mets obviously don’t necessarily benefit them if anything they just are trying to up the any to try to up the price point from scottb saying all right Hal we want to see you actually raise more dollars here all right daughters we want to see you raise more dollars but the fact that we’re having this come out tells me that you can view it as a leverage play as Scott Boris pardon me is just talking right into John heyman’s ear and saying report this right now that the Yankees have up their offer after the Red Sox have essentially have we want this B War to continue but does this really impact the Mets let alone negatively when everything is pointing towards them being the top bidder from start to finish year and it’s been abundantly clear not only a widespread belief but it’s been widely reported over the past how many weeks now that until proen otherwise the Mets will not be outbid for woto there is not a belief in the world that that is going to be the case so until we see it happen I’m going to continue going under the belief that if Wan stto goes back to the Yankees if Wan sto goes to the Red Sox if wotto goes to the F La dods whatever it might be Monet monetary not monetary I apologize money in general is not going to be the significant driver it’s not going to be the number one because if he does prioritize dollars alone that should be enough for the Mets to land him but it takes more than just being the top bidder for Juan sod his services to land a man for potentially the remainder of his career who’s a short Fire Hall of Famer already at the young age of 26 it takes all the other aspects in which the Mets have upside withd they may have some downside in comparison and more historic franchises which is the other three that we just listed not named the Toronto Blue Jays but it doesn’t change the fact however that the Mets do have things working in their favor as we’ve emphasized plenty on the channel recently I’m really excited to hopefully find out further further information as we get into Thanksgiving the holiday weekend and just hopefully God will find a decision maybe even before winter meetings you know it just it feels like there’s too much coming out now for things to drag another two weeks but we also went through the Carlos K sweep Stakes Mets fans so we know very well how long or short things can unfortunately drag on to but that’s what I’ll leave you with everybody thank
