what’s going on Alabama football fans we’re setting the over under today at 5 and a half so Alabama going out into the transfer portal they’ve already gotten a couple of guys over or under five and a half transfer portal commits for Alabama type over for over or type you for under in the comments section right now coming up on today’s show we’re going to be talking a little little bit of transfer portal don’t want to absolutely burn you guys out on that but Alabama did receive a commitment yesterday out of the transfer portal so we’re going to talk about that on the top part of today’s show also got some pretty unfortunate news about Malachi Moore from kayin deor yesterday so we’ll talk about him as well and also very very important in terms of all of college football Diego Pavia sued the NCAA for an extra year of Eligibility and won and so we’ll talk about how that affects some Crimson Tide players also on today’s show first up though we’re going to talk about transfer cornerback Cameron cowon out of Utah he committed to Alabama yesterday afternoon um this could be a really really big commitment for Alabama when it’s all said and done we’ve talked about the fact that uh you know after Nick Sabin retired last year that DB room especially got hit super hard by the transfer portal and kind of struggled this year at times in terms of depth there at most of those positions um in the defensive back field but man this kid uh Cameron coun I was watching his highlights yesterday and now granted I know highlights are the just the best plays of their career or season or whatever the Highlight uh you know compilation is but man this kid he can absolutely ball these are his stats um from Utah this season played 395 snaps and that completion percentage is pretty impressive 48.8% of opponent’s completion percentage and it’s not from the lack of targets either he was targeted plenty um you know by opposing teams this kid absolutely balled out for Utah this year you know he only had one interception but you know so what he uh you know played really really well for them you know a lot of the times and was a playmaker for them as well five pbus as well he’s a pretty good tackler I think he can help and run support sometimes you think about some of those cornerbacks and those DBS uh you know I remember you know right now with the Dallas Cowboys you got Trayvon Diggs a lot of people talk about him not being a very good tackler I think this kid right here uh really brings the energy when it comes to helping and run support it kind of reminds me in that aspect anyways of a guy like Devonte Smith who you lost to the transfer portal as well so I think this is a really really big pickup for Alabama and like I said it only helps your depth at the end of the day we’ll see what happens with um demman Jackson whether or not he goes off to the NFL draft or not this season not really sure what happens there but really does make me think if they’re going after another Corner in the transfer portal they might already know that decision for deanii Jackson but we’re going to have to wait until after the bowl game to uh you know see that Malachi Moore as well is out of Eligibility at that safety spot so we’ll see what happens you know there’s been some rumors out there Alabama still does want to go after uh you know another safety or two possibly in the transfer pornal but you know getting jayen and bque back as well was really really big really sucks that you lost uh Devonte Smith but uh look got a lot of confidence in red Morgan I thought he flashed at times this year Deshawn Jones also there at that husky position and look there’s also been some reports out there of Z miny possibly tinkering around um at that safety spot as well obviously you know we talked way back during the season he was also working at safety um you know some during the season as well so this defensive back depth chart is really starting to come together I think for Alabama obviously you also signed Deon Lee five-star Corner out of high school you got Ivan Taylor a safety out of the high school ranks Chuck McDonald as well man I’m super excited about what this kid can bring to the table as well for Alabama but but man I think cam uh cam coun is a really really big pickup for Alabama so grade the commitment of Cam cun for me right now in the comments section A B C D or F to me this one’s got to be at least an A or a B right I I think he’s going to be a real impact player for Alabama possibly not next year but definitely could get there um you know as long as he sticks around here I think he has three more uh years of Eligibility left it is the PIN comment of today’s video so you guys should know what that means by now if that ad comes right here on YouTube that’s totally fine you could ignore it get down there in the pin comment and let me know what you guys think all right next up on today’s show we’re going to talk about Malachi Moore kayin abore telling Alabama media yesterday that Malachi Moore um has been suffering from a um lingering injury that’s been going on a lot of the season and he will be out for the relia quest Bowl after he got that surgery yesterday this is a picture right here of Mo that his mom put out on social media but uh you know this one really does suck not necessarily in terms of the reli quest Bowl but um just the fact that you wanted to see Malachi Moore one more time right play for the Alabama Crimson Tide he’s been here for five years now got that extra year of Eligibility because of that covid season and man he’s been just a real leader for Alabama remember back to that freshman season I think we’re all super impressed from Malachi Mo and then in his soft more year kind of had a little bit of a setback didn’t play as much but still got a little bit of playing time and then the last couple of years has just really taken the bull by the horns and been a real leader for Alabama uh you know had his ups and downs this year you know you go back to that Vanderbilt game threw a little bit of a hissy fit at the end of the game but man this is a guy that really you know brought a lot of guys together this year after Nick Sabin retired he was voted a team captain this year as well remember back they put that video out of uh you know him saying if they ain’t wearing crimson and then they cut it off but you guys probably know what he said after that um look this kid just bleeds Crimson through and through so um really sucks that the iron bll was the last game for Malachi Moore but um look he’s going to be a member of the Crimson Tide team for life and um these are the kinds of players that you really want on your team at the end of the day in you know this world of the college football transfer portal guys leaving after two or three seasons you know after that sophomore season he definitely could have left to the uh into the transfer portal um you know if that was going on like right now anyways you know if he was going into his sophomore season right now so I really appreciate everything that Malachi Moore has brought to the table for Alabama I appreciate the fact that he stuck around after Nick Sabin retired and really helped this team come together this year so go ahead and show your support in in the comment section for Malachi more type Ty y13 for thank you 13 purchase that link will be in the comments section and the description of today’s show so download game time today cuz what time is it it’s game time all right next up on today’s show we’re going to talk about Diego Pavia suing the NCAA and he won because it seems right now that the NCAA has just absolutely no power over anything um you know we we’ve seen What’s happen with the transfer portal they can’t enforce any kind of tampering rules or anything like that now Diego Pavia he started off his career in J for a couple of season then moved to New Mexico state and then transferred to Vanderbilt so the way uh you know it’s kind of worked out in the past is those years of that you play in Jo counted towards your uh your eligibility getting burned so what Diego Pavia did he wanted an extra year of Eligibility at Vanderbilt so he sued the NCAA for an extra year and he ended up winning this was the NCAA bylaw that kind of got over overturned I guess you could call it this is what the bylaw says um 12.02 .6 in Collegiate competition is considered uh to have occurred when a student athlete in either a 2-year or a four-year Collegiate institution does any of the following and I kind of paraphrase this right here just to make it a little bit easier so I hope I did a uh decent job at that said represents the institution in any contest against against outside competition completes uh competes in the uniform of the institution or competes and receives expenses from the institution for the competition now basically layman’s terms that means if you suit up for a team and you play against somebody else um that counts as you know years of Eligibility that is being burned so what happened was Diego Pavia sued them because he started off his career in Jo and said hey when you go to a 2-year institution um um that shouldn’t count towards your division one eligibility and Diego Pavia ended up winning and at the end of the day this can very much affect a couple of Alabama players and just the way I think college football teams recruit in general more out of you know the Jo ranks rather than the high school you know they’re still going to go through high school but I think there’s a lot more kids out of high school can take that route going juko playing for another two years and also um you know just getting better at the end of the day and extend their chances to go off and play for an eventual division one school so what do you guys think is this good for college football I personally think it is but uh you know with things like this there’s always some um unintended consequences so there could be something that I’m not thinking of but I I definitely do think this is very very good for college football just as a whole so what do you guys think type y fors or in for no uh in the comments section of today’s show one of the players that really does stick out in terms of this is Justin Jefferson because you know he played in Jo to start his career and this could lead to an extra year of eligibility for him at the end of the day um you know he’s one of your main linebackers this year he was initially out of Eligibility so we’re going to have to see what happens um I’m sure there’s going to be a lot more come from this but this would be a really big pickup as well for Alabama because of that um you know case that went down with Diego Pavia in the NCAA because you got Justin Jefferson he was going to be out of Eligibility and be forced to go off to the NFL draft you’re probably also going to lose Jihad Campbell to the NFL draft I think that one’s pretty much a given it’s just we’re you know going to be waiting on the announcement after the bowl game for him um quander is Robinson he’s out of Eligibility as well did not start in Jo um so look this is really big for your linebacker depth at the end of the day cuz there was uh uh you know the kid from Colorado who Alabama was bringing in out of the transfer portal for a visit and you got Jeremiah Alexander we’re going to have to see what happens with Deontay Lawson in that injury but man if you can keep Justin Jefferson as a linebacker for you I that would be a massive pickup and it would be a really really big deal for Alabama there’s also a couple other players here that Alabama is getting in their 2025 recruiting class that this could affect as well Steve mamua of course you know he started off um he committed to Alabama in that 2024 recruiting class but we’ve talked about this plenty had to go to Jo to get that credit uh for his English class you also have kavante Henry this is going to be an interesting one as well because he started off his career at Oklahoma took a red shirt season that first year at Oklahoma then went to Jo route now is committed to Alabama in that 2025 class so it’s going to be very interesting you know he uh I don’t believe played uh for Oklahoma even if he did he was red shirted That season so we played four or fewer games there so it’s going to be really interesting to see kind of how this all shakes out in terms of Eligibility not just for the Crimson Tide but hundreds and if not thousands of uh players across you know College athletics in general because I think this is definitely going to cause a ripple effect not just through college football but basketball baseball uh you know softball whatever other sports are out there I think this is a really big deal for college football and look college football is changing drastically in the last what five years I don’t even think it’s going to look the same in the next 10 years we’ll see what happens in terms of profit sharing and things like that whether or not um you know nil collectives and things like that are going to be a thing within the next 10 years look college football is changing but in a lot of ways probably for the worst but I do definitely think this is a very positive change for college col football at the end of the day it just helps out the athletes something that the uh NCAA has not wanted to do for a long time make sure you guys are subscribed as well right here to the Alabama football report we’re only 16 subscribers away from hitting
