you score one goal and then you have to control the ball you have to control the tempos of of of the game you you can we cannot do it uh at the moment but they tried they really really tried oh but they tried really really hard they tried really really hard we lost the ball without pressure but they tried really really hard I want you to understand what he’s doing here what he’s doing is he’s trying to protect his players but he’s also telling you in the same sentence that he’s protecting his players by saying they tried really really hard but he’s also telling you that this might be the best they got we just drew a game against ipswitch ipswitch a team partly owned by Ed Sheran which is barely a Premier League team at all third third from bottom right now only with one win and six draws one of them being this game with us and uh what’s worse is that we didn’t even look like we were ever going to win that game this is going to be one of the easiest games we have all season and we barely managed to draw Onana if he wasn’t playing out of his mind today we probably would have lost that g three or 41 guys it’s not good but what’s up YouTube thank you very much for joining me thank you for clicking on the thumbnail thank you for being with me one more time let’s Dive Right In um I’m really not that happy right now so I apologize for if I come off like um a little antsy or a little anxious I was actually contemplating not even making this video but you guys showed so much Support over the last video 23 new subscribers the channel is growing I’m still not at a th this is the road to the Thousand I want to get there before New Year’s and that’s enough talking about that let’s Dive Right In now when I was watching this game all I kept thinking about is okay he’s got a new formation blah blah blah but these are the same players did I learn anything new by watching this game by seeing Ruben amar’s debut no I did not it was the same old story for me but that doesn’t matter it doesn’t matter what I learned or what you learned all that matters is what did Ruben amaram learn on this first timeout of him coaching our team in a game that’s meaningful what did he learn that’s what we’re going to look at today we’re going to look at some of his postgame comments and we’re going to dissect and find out if we can if we can figure out what’s going on in this man’s head because I got to tell you when I was watching this game he looked frustrated to me after the first 20 minutes I think the first 20 minutes he looked pretty comfortable but after the first 20 minutes he started looking frustrated and he looked like he was angry at the way the team was performing and I don’t blame him if it was me I would have probably torn my hair out I don’t even think he stayed in the locker room at halftime for more than 10 minutes he was out with 5 minutes to spare just sitting there by himself contemplating and thinking about maybe I shouldn’t have left sporting I don’t know what he was thinking but I wouldn’t blame him if he was sitting there going if these guys anyos don’t back me and they don’t recruit players for me maybe I shouldn’t have left sporting because I don’t think I have the right players here I think that’s what he was thinking but let’s look at his comments and then we’ll discuss and we’ll talk about our players and what needs to be done so the first comment I want to look at is this and that is hard with two days because all the team together just two days um we need more I I I think in the first start the physicality physicality there’s that word again he brought it up again he brought it up before the game and he brought it up after the game why is he bringing it up because he could see in training that we lack physicality he could see before training he could probably see when he was back in Portugal watching our games after he took the job that we lack physicality we don’t run enough and ipswitch just the the players they have were stronger than us they were faster than us they were quicker to lose balls than we are we still have like I said in my last video we still have players like Johnny Evans Luke Shaw Christian Erikson casemiro out there in our starting 11 Guys these kind of players these aging or injury prone players we really have to shift out we can’t have so many of them like I said in the last video we can only carry two players of that quality or caliber and they have to be good and they have to be mature and they have to there has to be a reason why we’re carrying them because they’re good for morale they’re good in the locker room they keep the the young boys on on um on a straight line if you will that’s why you carry these kind of veterans but you don’t carry seven of them and start four that’s just not the way it works if you’re challenging for trophies it was so obvious Johnny Evans bless him man I I am a fan and I and I appreciate everything he’s done for us but he shouldn’t be such a important Cog in our in our Squad he shouldn’t be somebody that’s starting as many games as he starts or playing as many minutes as he plays because he just doesn’t have the legs for it he’s not phys his physicality is lacking he’s not fast enough he’s intelligent as hell and that’s what saves him and that’s what makes him serviceable but that only lasts so long when when you’re going up against guys that are 10 years younger than you and stronger than you and he almost injured himself like two times today I was every time I see him on the ground I feel bad I feel sorry I feel like he’s being picked on for being old man like we we need to move him on and we need to recruit better we need to get stronger physical center backs that can cope with the demands and that can run and that can jump and now that we’re playing a three Center back system we need six of them guys at least five uh of of of good caliber and two young guy like yoro can count as one of the young guys and maybe one veteran no I don’t want any veterans because as you saw with Johnny Evans there’s no point we need four or five young Prime center backs ready to go not injury-prone hopefully and then the rest of the players need to be willing Runners they need to run more often and in our Midfield we definitely run there’s only two there’s only two in the Midfield I know technically he plays a 3 43 but really there’s only two midfielders in the heart of the Midfield right in the center today was casemiro and Ericson two guys who just don’t have the legs to to to move quickly receive a ball and turn faster they’re very smart players and that’s why they get by but there’s two of them in there and usually they’re surrounded by three of the opposing team so there’s less time and space for them to operate they have to have better reflexes they have to have better reaction time and they just we just need more physicality that’s all it is and Ruben’s right on the nose here he’s he’s spotted this a long time ago before even the game and now it’s up to anyos to deliver and and something needs to be done in January if we’re going to have any kind of chance to finish in the top half of the table because I got to tell you we have a half a season left with guys who are confused about their positioning and it’s okay by the way to be confused about your positioning because you’re playing in a new formation and some of you guys are going to argue and say that I need to relax because these guys are still learning the new Pro the new positioning they’re learning a new formation they’re learning a new process yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah I get it it’s okay like I’m saying right now it’s okay to be confused about your positioning it’s okay to be in the process of learning it’s it is a process but when we’re talking about physicality there’s no learning there right it we’re talking about aging players guys we’re talking about aging players who are who have slower Reaction Time slower reflexes and just not as strong and can get bullied around like Johnny Evans did did today we’re talking about a Christian Ericson who moves slow that’s not that has nothing to do with the formation and the process what what that we’re always going to be a step behind even if they take a while to learn the process now here’s the thing I don’t want to finish in the bottom half of the table and if I don’t want to finish in the bottom half of the table and I know they’re going to struggle with the new formation and the new positioning and and the new ideas already I don’t want them to also struggle with the fact that they’re older slower and can’t run so we need to get some physicality in there we need to get some Stronger Faster players who have high stamina and I’m not just talking about the midfielders in the defense by the way because some of the forwards weren’t running at all Bruno Fernandez God bless him at least he ran everywhere Bruno did an amazing job but some of our forwards were not running you figured out there was only three of them playing and Bruno is the only one I’m praising so you figure out who I’m talking about when I say they weren’t running back on defense or def even if they ran back they weren’t really defending they’re just standing there so that they’re in the right shape but they never tackled or got the ball let’s look at his next comment because they they leave us one against one in in front so we have to to to to to to use that moments to to to to feel the the the opponent they leave us one against one in the front and we need to basically test them is what he’s saying here what he’s saying is when when the other the opposing team’s not even scared of us they’re willing to stay and play one-on-one against our forwards in the back can you think think about that like what other you would never leave man City’s players one-on-one with your defense you would never leave Liverpool’s Arsenal’s players one-on-one with your defense that’s how pathetic our forwards are sometimes that the opposing team just leaves us one-on-one with their Defenders and go oh we’ll cope with them and and they they’re right because how wasteful okay I I was trying not to mention names and talk about players and I was trying to only say negative things about like certain positions instead of actual players but I don’t think I can get through this review or whatever you want to call it postgame analysis without mentioning the players so I’m sorry if I irk people and I’m sorry if I say something that I don’t know is isn’t isn’t the best thing to say about a player but it’s the truth so let’s talk I’m going to start on garnacho first then I’m going to talk about rashford garnacho garnacho actually does have a way of finding himself in good positions and I like that I like that he’s he finds little little pockets between the lines to to offer himself so he can receive a ball problem is when he gets the ball he’s so freaking wasteful with it like his his decision making and and I mean he puts his head down and runs so many times that you’re just like oh my God bro you are not the you’re not Hussein bolt and you can outrun this guy so slow down but he’ll just run run run and then get tackled and then he’ll fall down and act like he got fouled it wasn’t a foul was a clean tackle buddy um and and these are things he’s not mature he’s it’s not even his fault though that’s the reason why I don’t like talking about it I in my heart I believe that garnacho shouldn’t be starting he doesn’t start for Argentina for a reason he shouldn’t be starting he he is good and he might become amazing one day he’s not that today and he doesn’t need these many minutes what he needs is someone to learn off of he needs to be an study for somebody who’s better than him that he can learn from he can sit down and watch like that’s what Mo that’s what good teams have good teams have young players that sit on the bench and watch a superstar in front of them and try to copy him or learn from him and that and that that Prime player that superstar that veteran will pull them aside and teach them little moves and tricks to do in certain situations garnacho unfortunately doesn’t have that luxury Arro has been thrown into the wild and been like go ahead kid like let’s see what you got and it’s just not fair so it’s not fair for us to judge I don’t like what like Faz did when he was telling him to pass better or whatever it is it it’s not his fault and uh he needs time to develop but the problem is he shouldn’t be developing in front of our eyes and and US seeing all his failures those failure should be happening in training and then someone needs to pull him inside and show him what to do when he when he makes those those mistakes not happening in a stadium with 50,000 70,000 people at Old Trafford watching and going oh here he goes again because you guys saw what happened to him when people started talking negative things about him his head went down he didn’t want to celebrate a goal that’s just going to keep happening if we don’t protect him and the way to protect him is not to start him it’s not to start him you protect him by getting a different player uh recruiting a player with High Caliber to get in front of him and show him how it’s done so that two years from now garnacho is is better much better but anyway he’s not the only one I Marcus did not play well today Marcus was uh and and I don’t care what anybody says about like Oh Marcus shouldn’t be played out there he’s out of position no no no no Marcus’s understanding of positioning is god- awful they it’s like the only thing he understands is when he plays out wide to go out wide hug the touch line and wait for the ball that’s it and that’s not that that doesn’t mean anything so you can’t say like well that’s where he wants to play no no no it’s just the it’s like the easiest like brain dead thing right like go sit there on the on the touch line and you’ll get the ball Marcus has all the skill in the world if he has the I believe if he dedicated himself more to like learning the game now I’m not talking about dedicating himself by going to the gym and training and all that like I can see he does that the guy’s a specimen when it comes to physicality he’s got it he’s not one of those that that that I’m worried about when it comes to like physical ability I’m not even worried about him when it comes to skill but his understanding of the game and positioning is very lacking that’s another one of those which actually is another another point that Ruben made in this comment I think that is is a concern because you can understand you don’t need to to to to coach them because at this level you have to keep the ball know the momentum of of to put the ball in front and you sometimes you feel that you can keep the ball and you put the ball in front then you have like uh we are in the end of the game you are rounding the box with two Strikers with Jos has to understand that he has to go to the box to to have the crosses so we are doing some things that not in the right moment so that is something that we have to address sometimes it’s not the all every every people talk about the 343 that is not the concern the system is a system but the understanding of the game I think we have to improve a lot in this area I mean he even says that at this level you shouldn’t need to coach them well unfortunately that’s not what we got let me explain to you why because the last five six years do you know the only person the only manager we had that I knew was coaching them on how to think was vongal and we let him go and I think we let him go prematurely I this is a different conversation and I don’t want to go there right now CU then this video will be like three hours long but the truth is vanal was teaching players how to think with and without the ball and I think they were learning and uh we let them go and then from then on we had managers that didn’t really I don’t feel like they taught every single player individually like how to think I feel like they were teaching systems and and you know different aspects of the game or whatever it is but these guys need someone who’s literally going to grab them and teach them like one-on-one how to think and how to move kind of like what we’ve seen Guardiola do with players when he grabs them and he talks to them about how to move how to Pivot how to where to position their bodies what to look for when the ball’s over there where to go and I think Ruben amaram is going to be that kind of manager but he’s going to need time because he literally it’s not like oh he’s got to teach these two or three players how to think no he’s pretty much got to teach every single person how to think even Bruno Fernandez who we think is one of the smartest ones we have on the squad and it’s true Bruno Fernandez is one of the smartest players we have on the squad but how many times does Bruno make the make the dumbest mistake right so and it’s again it’s not his fault either it’s just the kind of the the coaching he’s had at at our club for the last half a dozen years it’s not his fault we just haven’t had a manager or coach who’s going to take the time to teach every little detail like that I I at least I think right I’m not there so I don’t know but that’s what it feels like to me so when it comes to football intelligence we’re way be behind when it comes to physicality we’re way behind when it comes to skill we have skillful players I’m not going to sit here and tell you we have bad players we have skillful players they’re just not smart and they don’t run that much or they’re too old to be physical or they’re too injury prone to be physically challenging and this is a problem guys it needs to be solved and the only person that can solve it or the only people that can solve it are NEOS right now because they’re in charge right anyos are the only people that can solve it and anybody out there who’s making YouTube videos or who’s preaching that we don’t need to spend that much money we just have to do smart recruiting and we just have to teach the players that we already have how to be their best we need three starters at least at least by the way I’m being like super conservative here we need three starters at least and three more backup players and I’m not even talking about like another goalkeeper cuz I know I think Bay andere might want to leave because he gets no playing time and we might need another goalkeeper so I’m not talking about that just Outfield players we need six Outfield players right now three that could come in and start right away and one of them’s got to be a left wing back because I got to tell you the low is not it the low is not it as a left wing back the low is also one of those players who still has some learning to do the low still needs to be sitting on the bench and learning from somebody else if we’re going to play this left wing back position as how to play it and he shouldn’t be playing on the left anyway he should be a backup on the right and uh he’s probably going to be much better on the right that’s probably why he’s so out of position on the left he was out of position so many I could see Ruben Amar and B so frustrated with the low and garnacho it’s like they did not know how to work well together on that left side and that’s an issue you can’t have a whole side that’s just ineffective as they were so that’s a problem that needs to be solved on the training pitch you know what else he said that that really that really caught my attention check out this clip but it’s a tough match I think we lost some balls uh without pressure and when you when you start a game like this you score one goal and then you have to control the ball you have to control the tempos of of of the game you you can’t we cannot do it uh at the moment but they tried they really really tried I know this is is is for some for some guys it’s it’s hard to to understand this but they are really really trying and they they want this oh but they tried really really hard they tried really really hard we lost the ball without pressure but they tried really really hard I want you to understand what he’s doing here I want you to this is not me making fun of Ruben Amron by the way I want you to understand what he’s doing what he’s doing is he’s trying to protect his players but he’s also telling you in the same sentence that he’s protecting his players by saying they tried really really hard but he’s also telling you that this might be the best they got do you understand that this might be their caliber this might be some of these players ceiling there might not be any better for this person or this player so they need to be replaced if we’re going to challenge for titles that’s how I want you to take that information somebody who tried really really hard yet failed means what guys guys what does that mean that means what it means that this is it this is the best they got this is the best they got and if it’s not good enough then it’s not good enough I foresee a lot of recruitment meetings with NEOS I foresee Robin mm sitting down with NEOS after two or three more games I mean they’re already doing it they’re already doing it but after two or three more games he’s going to get a brighter picture or or clearer picture of what he’s really got and Jason Wilcox and Dan Ashworth are going to have to sit down and be like okay and they got to listen to this guy you don’t and I think they will I really think they will but then they got to convince um Ratcliffe that hey bud our budget cuts we we just going to have to put that on hold for now because guess what this team is not going to be climbing up the table if we keep uh not backing these this this manager we need to give this manager uh Wing backs that he could work with that that are always running up and down I’m not by the way Ahad did a great job but he needs more than just Ahmad so we need to give this uh manager center backs that he could definitely work with and and things of that nature I’m not going to name every position here we’ll keep that for a different video but you get the point if this is the best they have if this is them really really trying then what the only option we have is to replace them with somebody else who when they really really try we actually do well before I go on I want to thank everybody who watched my last video it it we grew by 123 subscribers that just felt so freaking awesome that’s why I wanted to make this video today no matter how tired and frustrated I was by watching that game thank you so New Year’s Eve also on another news I am working on doing like a series which you don’t actually see my face like you do now that I actually put together like a I’m calling it The Red rebuild and it’s about rebuilding Manchester United into Champions at least that’s what I hope that we’re doing right now with Ruben amaram with NEOS so we’re calling it The Red rebuild it’s going to be a series I don’t know when the first episode will be ready because I’m putting in a lot of work on that one and my fear is that after I put in all that work that I get a copyright strike from YouTube and and I
