and congratulations how good does that feel when a plan comes together to get a result like that here yeah look um yeah super proud of the lads um you know you come in a city uh at their place uh you it’s a pretty daunting Prospect for anybody and it does the challenges you I’ve said before when you play City challenges every part of your sort of football um abilities and we had to do a bit of everything today we had to defend uh which I thought we did really well we had to be disciplined and work hard and we had to play some decent football and I thought we did that you know I thought our football um was difference today that you know when we did get on the ball we were always threatening and uh yeah I credit to the lad’s outstanding performance and you had to be clinical and you were with some fantastic finishes yeah yeah you have to be because you know again you know they’re not going to give you too many opportunities and although we did create you know some really good ones and um as I said there was a real sort of calmness and maturity about the way we we we handled the ball today um you know again against City sometimes you know teams get spooked and don’t want to play against them and you know we had to play um we knew we were going to have to defend at times but we had to play as well and I thought we did that is that the mental test they give you and you really did stand up to that today yeah like like say they test you in every way um mentally physically tactically um you know and you have to be um performing at at high was and and to be fair to the group we we have this year it’s just that our flat spots have been really flat and and something we need to eradicate but you know I got no doubt we’re progressing as a football team um we’re much better team this year than we were last year we just got to like I said find that level of consistency and performance that um yeah eradicates some of the the sort of challenges we’ve had this year talking of tactically you restored James Madison today on his birthday I mean a word on his all around performance not those just those two terrific goals yeah no you’re right it wasn’t just the goals he you know he was going to be key for us in in getting control of that Midfield when we had the ball and you know he’s never shy to to want to receive it in tight areas which is important for us and then he worked awfully hard defensively because again you know they ask you those kind of questions and uh look matters um yeah he’s gone through a bit of a lean spell No Doubt but you know he stayed with us obviously during the international break the coaches work really hard with him and I could see he was just determined to to sort of get back to the levels he wants to be and um I thought today was a perfect game for him and uh yeah he did brilliantly he’s got five goals in eight League games for you now yeah he’s uh look he hasn’t been um that badly out of form I think he’s it’s just that you know’s he’s kind of set some pretty high standards for himself and um you know part of that’s on me I’ve got to as I keep saying my responsibility is try to get the best out of the play and if we’re not then I got to reflect on sort of how I’m working with him but um yeah credit to him like I said the two weeks International break he was just so determined to you know once it was over to hit the ground running and he did and at the other end of the pitch without your two First Choice recognized center backs to keep a clean sheet at the Etihad what does that say yeah Brant um yeah Ben and R were were outstanding Vicario when we needed him you have to you know that’s you can’t be less than that in and you play like we did today and um yeah collectively as he you know worked hard but yeah those two were not just defensively but you know part of it was us playing air from the back they have to be the ones to get on the ball first and it’s not easy um when you’re playing City here to to continually um you know try and build up the game but uh again they showed the courage and and we got the rewards and finally is that the best shot of belief you can give anyone you’re the first team in 53 games to win here in any competition at the etti had yeah look like I said during the week I haven’t since a lot with’ lost belief we’ve just been really disappointed with you know a couple of our games this year when we haven’t reached anywhere near the levels we need to but um look I don’t dismiss today though but because because it is significant um you know there’ll be a lot of focus obviously on on City’s form going into the game but yeah the other four losses were away they were a different Prospect here in har and I thought for us the play as we did today not just win the game but play as we did I thought was credit to LS very well done anre thank you thank you cheers to see you thank you did you enjoy that there’s so much more so why not hit subscribe and download the OPA sport app
