for Arkansas and Illinois uh here this one in Kansas City Thanksgiving basketball at the T-Mobile arena in downtown Kansas City Illinois laying two and a half on the neutral floor the total is 155 in this one all right a turkey day ma in the heartland of America Jeff NAU what do you like about this game you got this one on the sheet tell me why first before I get into the breakdown I’m fascinated by the fact that two brothers that are twins zamir and tomislav evich are both playing in this game on opposite teams and they’re going to play against each other basically because they’re both seven foot or higher I mean they’re big kids one goes to Illinoi one goes to Arkansas and in terms of the one that goes to Kentucky in his bio on his website on UK Athletics he says that his brother tomislav is quote his Life’s greatest influence these two obviously very close they twin brothers a fascinating handicap off the court I’m just curious about that have we ever seen that I i’ Matt have you ever I mean yeah most of the time twins obviously play together on a team right football basketball the entire uh the all the questions to Underwood and the pre pressor were about this whole relationship yeah it’s a cool thing for sure I mean it’s fascinating I I was blown away by that only the only reference I can give and I was around Tiki Barber this weekend with the Giants he played for the Giants in the NFL Ronde played for the Buccaneers in the NFL and they did play a couple of times in the pros but in college where you can pick where you’re going You’re right Jee it’s very rare they would be on different teams yeah and when you look at on the court Arkansas’s now what six games into the season they have that loss a game to Balor which was the second game of the season two teams were both I think kind of figuring things out and and Baylor W to close game for the most part now you got a couple of games under your belt I feel like Arkansas’s a little bit kind of adept to back now and look maybe I’m crazy to say this and Matt might think I’m nuts I think Illinois or I think Kentucky’s Kentucky Arkansas is slightly better yes I always say Kentucky thinking of uh I’m thinking of calar but I think Arkansas is slightly better and I’m going to trust and I don’t have a lot to back it up I’m not going to go out and say that this is an extremely good matchup Arkansas cuz I don’t know that it is but the other day I backed South Dakota State when I thought was just a better team and they won the game essentially just having to win I’m getting two and a half points to me with the better team that’s a little bit more Adept I think at this point to back I’m going to get an Arkansas team that isn’t as relying on the three ball that Illinois is I think Arkansas can match some of Illinois’s height and that match up with the twins is fascinating I like Arkansas I’m going to back them here plus two and a half this jumped out right away way I just think they’re the better team lot of sentiment in the chat right now for Arkansas I’m looking at Illinois last couple of games we saw them lose to Alabama give up a hundred they’ve beaten Maryland Eastern Shore they’ve beaten Little Rock Lord they beat Little Rock 92- 34 uh last time out all right so this is a made for TV game it’s actually coming up after the Lions Bears Thanksgiving Day game on CBS network TV this game will be on after that so if the Giants Cowboys game is God awful you have excellent college basketball right here forget about the NFL you got excellent game right here Matt Cox any thought including on the total here for Illinois and Arkansas neutral floor Kansas City yeah it’s been bet up to 156 I I kind of agree with that move it does feel like this is a higher scoring game even though it is on a neutral floor um you know minus two I’m with Jeff I I tend to think Arkansas is the better team in my gut I don’t know if right now I I trust them uh enough to to have a big bet on them I did take I did take Arkansas small just for full transparency um I think from what I’ve seen with Arkansas the last couple of games tough to learn much from just blowing teams out by 50 that aren’t even the same weight class as you um but the lack of depth is still a little worrisome I think it’s a good matchup though that Illinois who is a deep team they’re still a younger team inexperienced uh they played well against Alabama but I don’t think that they have proven much else outside of that in terms of stepping up in class um I do worry a little bit about Arkansas’s perimeter defense um in this matchup I know they got trayon Brazil back last game Arkansas huge rim protector up front I think next to Big z uh that’s going to be a pretty formidable interior uh you know front line to score at The Rim but elino does a nice job of spacing people out they can spread you and Shred you as they say so I don’t know it’s a fascinating X and0 chess match between both these coaches um all that aside you put that noise behind you I’m with Jeff I think my gut says I’ll take the better team getting two bonus points on you weren’t on pressat with a 64-point win against Maryland Eastern Shore the other night it was sort of I see you and I raise you Arkansas 10935 over Maryland Eastern Shore uh Illinois 9234 of a Little Rock in their last game kind of a fun little all right so those are kind of tuneups now they go at it here this has got kind of like second round of the NCA tournament field to it for Arkansas and Illinois and the big man says pay attention kids he was three and0 Tuesday he says Arkansas here giving the two and a half and uh let’s see what the Hogs do in that environment in downtown Kansas City two more games to go we’ll get to some live Q&A in
