and um it was tricky for Arsenal and I thought they needed to make those substitutes once they made those substitutes Timber coming on I thought did really well georgino that kind of footballing brain in the Midfield just to slow it down a little bit and that second goal really killed off their belief Monaco they were looking good and they came back they came back at Arsenal you’d expect that you know a top level team that they are but in the end Arsenal comfortable winners why don’t we get some reaction from this Arsenal side Bea Saka with two goals and an assist tonight and what a Champions League start a first start for one of the youngsters in this side who we’re never going to forget miles Lewis gelly brilliant game tonight they are both speaking now with Jules breach they are all say to him I just said to him like I said to him before the game that this is his level that he needs to have no doubts and play of the confidence what he’s doing we see it in training so yeah I was big game for Arsenal to try and stay in touch with Liverpool so no really important win tonight for the momentum Karen what did you think of the overall performance from Arsenal I thought it was I thought it was a perfect evening really um of course there was opportunities in the first half he we probably should have come in 2 three 4 n up actually but in terms of like Martin said it was professional three goals clean sheet no injuries young players getting their minutes as well which is really important and as you said making the right decisions at the right time to bring on the right people to get the three points and put them in a good position cuz you don’t want to play extra G games in this competition you want to get the job done move on and concentrate on the Premier League Martin let’s take the viewers back to the first goal in the first half and how well worked it was between those three players in particular yeah down that left hand side and we’ve said haven’t we that most of Arsenal’s really good stuff comes on the right but you know young lad Skelly plays a really punishing pass another one into the box from jayus and there’s Saka that man again he just keeps on he’s on the end of everything he’s so important and he’s almost like an old age pens at what is he now 22 23 years of age might as well hang his boots up yeah so um he’s a seasoned professional that jayus that’s a glorious ball in there with his that’s if his weaker foot so nothing wrong with his contribution okay Jesus missing a couple of opportunities but that was a really important goal for Arsenal to get off the mark they really needed Karen as well they needed the second goal didn’t they just to settle a few nerves and and to try and start to put this game to bed and it came via sacka once again him getting his brace um but it was clever play for havs here as well isn’t it yeah look he blocks the passing line off and then sniffs up the opportunity and presses it scoring enough goals but look what he does as well the all round game that he has he sort of drifts around and he presses people wins it back it’s all part of what you have to do if you’re an Arsenal Center forward and then he did get himself a goal as well for 3-0 and you heard there saaka was a little bit I could have had my hat trick look it doesn’t matter all the goals count for Arsenal this was checked by V for being offside um but it wasn’t cast again set piece quick free kick switched on keep it alive there and I like that always got to be alive for the second ball sacker of course get in getting it in there but they’re asleep Monaco you can’t be asleep against this Arsenal team and again georgino came on as well he was a big impact when he came on but was it an own goal was it a Kai H and noo now is is’s trying to claim a little bit of it but I think you see from this angle there Kai gets a little touch but I do think he comes after The Defender but look we’re going to always try and award it to the forwards and I’m not going to go against s mccoon comes on that either so uh why not well he’s in there isn’t he he makes it happen Habs that’s what you want that coach’s goal that’s the sort of thing he wanted goal hanger he’s got to bring that to his game as well so let’s give it to abits they don’t have to be pretty today that’s his 10th goal this season we are going to give it to him here um and for also I just have to mention beo saaka nine goals 12 assists 21 goal involvements in 21 games that is phenomenal that’s such a great return I think as well you know when Jules was doing the interview with with him and Lou Skully there at the end um Skelly sorry and you’re thinking he’s he’s like so mature for his age and like I mentioned at the start of the show every happy obviously scoring three goals keeping the clean sheet and and winning the game um extreme happy we started the game very well the first half we should have been three or four at least and then we could have put the game to bed we didn’t and in the champion Le going to have difficult moments and we had a for a period of time probably longer than expected because we weren’t precise enough we didn’t adjust the Press well enough enough and we suffer but then with the second goal I felt the the game was in control and happy to have the three points there was so much focus on goal from set pieces you almost didn’t need that today how pleasing is it to see the way that you scored in in different ways and open play as well yeah it’s very good especially because were very different goals the the three of them and and that’s what we want from every phase of play be a threat as I said we could have scored many more in in open in open play as you call it uh for me not open play but pie is all part of the game but uh anyway very happy interesting second half you made three substitutions around about 60 Minutes I thought they the boys were looking a bit fatigued uh Monaco were playing really well passing it minamina cames on and they were quite busy in that Midfield so that how important was that to make those changes yeah we have to especially with Miles well first of all award for him 18 years old to make his debut in the Champions League it’s um it’s it’s a great highlight of the game and then yeah as you mentioned we have some issues they put six players inside only the fullback giving the width they have a lot of rotation it’s difficult to manage that but I think the subs help us he give us energy giv us a little bit more of structure in the with the ball and without the ball and everybody’s important every three days it’s impossible to maintain the same players just Louis Kelly there as well just to to talk to you about the way that played the way he punched that ball through for the first goal that’s coming right out the academy Now isn’t it seeing the youngsters prepared to pass that ball and make something happen with it yeah I think what I like about is his Courage the position that he takes how he penetrates with the ball um he one of our own and he’s 18 years old he has a bright fruiter ahead of us and he’s great as a manager as a club I think we have to be very pleased to see those young players coming through because he a he a nice feeling to be able to help somebody change his life I bet it is M it must seem really boring speaking about B Saka and he must also seem pretty old compared to to leis Skelly there you mentioned but like how it must be an absolute joy to work of him I know everyone ask you about him but seriously no it looks um it looks really mature as you said as he says what he’s already done in the game is is incredible I think his goal involvement in the season on 25 on 21 matches I think he 20 goals or something ridiculous like this um but that’s him um very humble a great guy to have around the place and an incredible Talent he’s a great role model isn’t he as well for that pathway to get young kids into the team CU he he doesn’t get ahead of himself he’s so humble uh and he just keeps producing it’s a special person um again it’s great to have around the team I think in his role his leadership is increasing with the young kids is amazing with the senior is amazing he’s loved by everybody you can tell that and then when he’s on that pitch he’s he’s making the difference for us
