all right uh beloved my welcome back uh okay backtack victories uh finally uh moving in the right direction uh both victories very important I think last night’s was particularly important uh and particularly impressive considering the Rival the venue the competition uh and the urgency to win uh I think our performance last night was very very professional uh we played with a lot of intensity a lot of focus uh we anticipated balls very well I think that the team was very focused very concentrated uh and you know pretty much throughout the whole match uh especially in the first 20 minutes there are some outstanding individual performances we need to mention uh I think Jude was absolutely brilliant it’s four or five matches now that he’s kind of leading the charge bahim was outstanding uh and rudiger was just absolutely colossal uh last night as well uh I have some issues with anelo and some of the decision- making which I need to to mention uh and discuss with you guys uh and of course we have the Killian injury at this point nothing surprises me it’s just you know I’m more surprised when nobody gets injured uh because it’s just become such Common Place uh such a common problem for us uh but let me give you my thoughts on on the match again a very professional performance I think an encouraging performance uh so let me give you my thoughts uh let’s get started all right mistas uh welcome back okay let me give you my thoughts on on the match uh last night uh like I say this was a really really important Victory our backs were against the wall in this competition which is our competition uh these three points uh put us in a much more comfortable position uh avoiding sort of having to play extra qualifying matches Etc I think it puts us in a much much better position in terms of the lineup I I wouldn’t say there was anything massively surprising angelotti chose Theos over aruler and I think that’s something debatable uh and we can all have opinions about that uh but this was a 442 uh in a sort of diamond uh Jude spent most of the time playing a number 10 position uh he elected to play tramini as a center back uh and you may recall in my last video I mentioned uh that when tramini comes back he better get ready to play a lot of minutes A Center back uh because he seems to play that role very well uh and as a pivot he has been a little bit disappointing this season but we did need his size uh and his physicality in the back uh and and I think it was a good a good decision based on how we played uh Vinnie of course came back from injury and there was a big question mark around what kind of form he would be in uh but the lineup again not terribly surprising there would have been a couple of other combinations that were possible but I think uh this was probably not surprising to most of us uh the first 20 25 minutes I thought were excellent we played with uh a lot of intensity uh a lot of focus we were pressing very very effectively we were anticipating passes getting in front of uh of their players that were trying to receive the ball I think we looked very focused very very concentrated very well placed on the pitch uh one thing I noticed uh and I have to give anot credit for this uh he obviously instructed the center backs uh and ctoa to play long balls uh to kilan uh and to and to Vini uh and it was very very effective especially in the first 20 25 minutes those long balls were doing a huge amount of damage uh to Atalanta I mean we look threatening every time the ball got out there to the wing and some of these passes were quite good especially in the first 20 25 minutes uh but I think we looked again very good and very threatening with those long diagonal balls uh after the 20th minute uh well for well we had the gold in the ninth minute which was an absolutely it was a work of art Brahim a beautiful pass by Brahim and importantly the first touch if you notice in this goal Killian’s first touch was just fantastic because he with one touch places the ball behind the defender who’s facing away from goal he can’t turn around in time the only way to stop killing would have been toou him uh which would have been a penalty uh and then of course Killian’s finish was magnificent now this I have to say uh in the minutes that Killian played he was he was excellent uh the the the goal that he scored in the ninth minute was very reminiscent of the kilba that we’ve all been watching for the last seven or eight years uh just very quick uh quick to the turn quick to strike uh and a Leal finish it looked very very much like the kilin mbappe that that we all want uh and that we’ve all been watching for the last few years uh after the 20th minute Atalanta of course started to to press more uh which is to be expected they were constantly attacking on the left-and side uh Lucas bth was of course the weak link uh and they kept exploiting that uh lukman kind of drove crazy it was a very difficult matchup uh throughout the entire match uh and in the first 30 minutes I would also mention you know I found Vinnie a little bit slow and slightly uh out of place uh you could sort of tell that he was coming back from an injury he just uh wasn’t quite participating seemed a little bit slower than usual uh and then in the 34th minute of course we had the injury to to kilan like I say at this point I’m shocked if we managed to finish a game without somebody getting injured uh a lot of these injures or injuries are muscular which is very concerning I don’t know if there’s been any kind of a change in terms of our physical preparation uh but the the number of of uh injuries this season is absolutely alarming uh so Killian is out looks muscular it doesn’t look too serious but we we’ll have to wait and see uh you know what the medical team tells us uh and then of course in the you know Rodrigo came in for for Kian uh at that point also coming back from an injury and we were kind of tentative to to see how he was feeling uh and then 5 seconds before the the halftime whistle uh you had the penalty the very untimely I mean literally there were 5 seconds left in the first half uh and we commit the penalty uh Trini I mean it’s it’s hard to blame him I I think he would he wasn’t really in the right position uh you could criticize him for that uh when I saw the replay it looked to me like the the guy tripped on his own uh but there was one take where you do see the contact uh and trin’s need does hit uh the the back of the leg uh of the forward so uh we go into the half 1-1 the second half started you know kind of very similar to to the first half with a kind of very slow kind of out ofpl Vin but an absolutely outstanding uh Brahim uh and Jude uh and then in the 56th minute we had the goal from Vin this was just sort of a mistake on atalanta’s part you know they lose the ball in dangerous area it happens to fall right to vinie uh but of course he finishes wonderfully with that kind of Killer Instinct uh that he’s developed uh 2 minutes later uh Jude scores his goal uh this was an incredible pass I’d encourage you guys to see that goal again because the pass from vinie is absolutely magnificent it’s a perfectly weighted ball cat you know Jude was just you know staying uh behind the offside line it was a beautiful pass uh and then the finish the Finish By Jude was spectacular it was as I mentioned in my previous video you know he had has the ability to dribble without touching the ball just by shifting his body weight uh very very zuu esque of him uh but it was a beautiful move and a beautiful finish uh and that put us at 13 uh in a much more comfortable position now at 13 I have to say I was surprised that anedot wouldn’t start to make changes at that point because banie looked a little bit a slow a little bit out of place uh I I don’t know why he would want to play Vin the full 90 minutes I’m a little bit surprised about that uh but I was Sur surprised that at 13 he didn’t start to make changes uh just thinking about those injury situations uh and the kind of State uh physical state of Vin which I I think was just kind of visibly slower than usual um but Atalanta you would expect kind of stepped up the pressure uh and in the 64th minute uh lukan scored you know a very good goal uh I have to criticize Lucas bth uh in the goal because I think uh he gave lukman too much space and too much time uh I think in those situations you need to bite a little harder you need to put your feet in you need to get in front of the player uh you need to just be a little bit more physical and more aggressive uh so I think this was a mistake by Lucas bth uh in the 82nd minute uh we had the first changes uh thos Brahim came out uh aseno and luk Modric came in but again why wouldn’t you take Vinnie off I mean Vinnie was visibly tired at the end of the match there was one point where he even raised his arm and it looked to me like he was calling to be substituted uh but ancelotti kept him on the full 90 minutes which again coming off an injury knowing the kind of player that he is he’s so explosive so muscular I mean he really exerts himself in in his style of play uh just it seems to me to keep him on for 90 minutes with it a bit of a bar bizarre decision that I’m not entirely sure I understand uh in the 86 minute Jude comes out for adaa again this is a substitution that could have taken place much earlier uh Jude exerted himself a lot I think that’s a change that could have been made much much earlier uh and then sort of you know we we we held on uh it was kind of miraculous that Atalanta didn’t score that last chance they had uh which was kind of an inexplicable Miss because I mean that that last shot opportunity that they had I mean it was much more difficult to miss than to score it uh but we we got a little bit lucky there but overall I think this was a good performance uh I think a solid team performance with some exceptional individual performances uh and I want to talk about those very quickly uh let’s let’s start with the best players on the page uh to me Jude played an absolutely spectacular match uh again he was absolutely everywhere he works tirelessly in in defensive duties but he was a very productive and very dangerous UPF front uh not just scoring but creating play I think Jude uh Jude has really been carrying this team for the last I I would say three four matches uh I thought Brahim was outstanding uh Brahim is a player that has uh exceptional technique uh you know Brahim could dribble his way out of Woodstock I mean th this the way that he dribbles through players and his ability to to keep the ball close to his foot uh he’s he’s one of the best dribblers uh in the world and and that I think I’ve ever seen in short spaces uh but aim I thought was absolutely exceptional made some key passes some key plays and stole the ball on a few critical occasions as well uh so he was very active defensively as well I think bahim was excellent uh rudiger was an absolute wall uh a lot of the mistakes that Lucas vasque made during the course of the match which were PL uh were saved by rudiger rudiger was always anticipating the pass into the box uh you know very commanding in the air I mean rudiger was absolutely everywhere uh and and I I think he’s he’s also been Stellar these last few matches and we need to recognize him uh in terms of the other players CTO I think was excellent as well a few very very uh important saves I don’t think there was that much he could do in the goal the goal came low fast uh right next to the post that’s very very difficult to stop especially because didn’t have visibility Lucas BKE was kind of blocking his view by the time he saw the ball it was a bit late and the ball came very quick I I don’t think we can blame crwa for uh for the goal for lukan’s goal but I think in general I think kah had some uh important saves uh and and is always just a source of security to us uh Fran was okay I don’t think he was Stellar but I think he worked very hard uh had a couple of important defensive contributions Lucas BKE I think had a an awful night it was not his night uh this was just not a fair matchup I mean lukan against Lucas BKE you know don’t forget Lucas B is not you know he’s no spring chicken he’s also uh getting older uh in his low 30s and I mean you know he he just physically wasn’t able to to keep up with lukman uh and I think he was the weakest link uh in defense uh chaan I think played uh very well in terms of Defending especially a uh he defended very well he was very present in the air and balls going into the box uh some of his Outlet play not great I mean he did have a you know a couple of sloppy passes here and there but I think defensively played pretty well uh fed again very consistent uh maybe not you know spectacular like on other occasions but very consistent defended very well uh and and ran a hell of a lot uh Theos I think played well and again this is a second game where I have to say you know he’s he’s playing quite well it’s not not not necessarily my favorite midfielder uh because he tends to retain the ball a lot but but I think he played well uh and I think he worked very hard defensively uh which is kind of what we needed uh in last night’s match uh kilan I thought was in the the minutes he played in that first half I thought he was very good uh I thought Killian was uh he was running into space very well he was creating a lot of danger the Finish like I say was vintage Killian mbappe he did miss a couple of chances there was one opportunity where he had vinie completely alone in the middle uh and he should have passed the ball and you know I didn’t make a mental note of that uh but I I think overall he played very well created a lot of opportunity brought a lot of energy uh into the attack uh and looks like he’s getting his Killer Instinct back slowly which is incredibly encouraging uh we’ll see about the injury uh beanie I thought you know what it it definitely was not his game in terms of you know physically you could tell he wasn’t 100% by by any stretch of the imagination but again he’s V so he only needs one or two uh interventions to change a game the pass to Jude was unbelievable uh and his finish again was was fantastic uh in his goal so Vin uh despite kind of physically not being 100% I think you know played well and made a difference again I would have taken him off way earlier uh Rodrigo I think you could also tell Rodrigo was just coming back from an injury and not really 100% because he didn’t look quick as usual he was having a hard time getting away from Defenders uh he was missing that little bit of speed on the turn that he typically has so I think Rodrigo again you could also feel that he wasn’t 100% um look I I have to talk about chotti you know and you know I just have to repeat this I I’m still struggling with some of the decisions that anchel makes uh I I don’t understand why you would play V 90 minutes here uh I’m also wondering why Rodrigo who’s coming off an injury who clearly wasn’t 100% you know you have enrik on the bench and enri is a is a young player with a lot of energy uh plays very well into space finishes well I I don’t know why you would necessarily bring Rodrigo on uh if he’s not 100% when you have enri there who’s chomping at the bit to get minutes uh again you know Vinnie playing 90 minutes I don’t understand Rodrigo instead of enri I don’t really understand the ARA substitution so late in in the match uh when Jude was C you know clearly tired uh in the final minutes again that’s a change that came a little bit too late which again I don’t understand so I I don’t know I think sometimes anot takes somewhat unnecessary risks with players that are you know tired or coming back from injury uh I think he takes a little bit too much risk and I’m still a bit iffy on some of his decisions uh but again look I think this was a good performance I think uh in terms of morale this is very very important the three points were key uh and it puts us back in in a good position in the Champions League uh and again the back-to-back victories I think for morale is just really really important so uh anyway we’re we’re moving in the right direction uh despite some of the anedot decisions I think we are moving in the right direction so it was very very encouraging uh but anyway those are my thoughts wanted to share them with you uh let me know
