hello guys and welcome back to another video today’s video I’m here to give you my thoughts on the upcoming game between Luton and stok City I’m going with a nil nil score prediction let me know your to be a nil nil draw because if we attack like we attacked against Swansea on the weekend then I don’t see us scoring and also the only way I see Stokes scoring is through counterattacks and I want to talk about Stoke first before I talk about looen there’s there’s a few talking points about looen at the moment but I want to talk about Stoke first our opponent in my opinion and this is very cheap for me to say I think Stoke should be a lot lower in the championship table because I think they should have conceded a lot more goals and the reason why they haven’t conceded as many goals as us for example it’s because of their goalkeeper Victor Johansson very good goalkeeper one of the best goalkeepers in the championship he was one goalkeeper when before Lon signed Thomas Kaminsky in the Premier League I pointed him out I made a video on it I I highlighted some players that I wanted Luton to sign and he was one of those players an amazing shot stopper and honestly if you have a spare couple of minutes type in his name on YouTube and you will understand how good of a goalkeeper he really is and the fact that Stoke managed to get him is an unbelievable signing honestly at Rim he was absolutely amazing Rim should have scored should have conceded a lot more goals than they did he’s a very good shot stopper and I really hope he has a poor night against Luton we could have easily afforded him at the time Stoke managed to get him on a in my opinion on a really cheap deal but yeah I really hope he does not have a night against us but he’s the reason why Stoke haven’t conceded as many goals if he weren’t there I do think Stoke would have conceded a lot more and they would have lost a lot more games if he wasn’t between um the goal posts but anyway he’s one player that we hope that doesn’t have a good game the way don’t like to play it is through counterattacks and the reason why I think it’s going to suit them this game is because L there’s a lot of pressure on us to win it we’re going to be attacking a lot more which means there will be space in behind so if we do lose the ball cheaply I feel like Stoke will be able to exploit that they’ve got really good counterattacking players I’ve looked at their highlights and a couple of games so far this season a lot of their goals do come from counterattacks and one player in particular called John hoe a South Korean International got five go five goal contributions so far this season he’s a really good pass off the ball he can play on the left hand side he can play as a number 10 he can play as a center mid he can play as a Striker I I can imagine he may start on the left hand side but then have the ability to drift into the middle and play more centrally he’s someone who likes to link the play up really good pass off the ball I can imagine him trying to feed Tom Cannon a very quick Center forward a player which luden were interested in before the season started or towards the end of the summer transfer window he’s we need to watch out for him because he will get in behind and exploit that space so we need to be careful in possession can’t be giving it away cheaply cheaply because Stoke will I think straight away will Counterattack us and as the away side I think it will suit perfect for the way they like to play in terms of stoke and how they’ve been over the last couple of years it’s been a strange one I feel like upstairs is the problem in my opinion I I don’t understand some of the football decisions they’ve made I feel like getting rid of Steven schumacker was a poor decision I didn’t feel like he did anything wrong and I felt like he was turning a corner and he was trying to get you know better results and making small steps of improvements but yeah the way chopping and changing managers doesn’t help and I kind of this this Stoke side which we’re seeing is definitely a completely different Stoke side from The Stoke which we’ve seen in the Premier League and I’m going to reference The Defenders here because the likes of Ryan Shaw cross Robert hoof um Eric Peters those type of you know aggressive Center halves who would you know throw that put their body on the line win every header throw themselves into tackles blocks shots everything they do everything as a complete noons Center half I don’t think Stoke kind of have that anymore and when I was looking at the stats for this game in terms of aerial battles Stoke are quite poor which is kind of like really strange to hear normally Stoke are amazing at you know winning the ball in the air whereas their Center halfs they’re not the best and that kind of fits the way Len like to attack if we put crosses into the box we can really exploit stoke’s weaknesses here but that’s that’s the big question are we going to put these crosses into the box are we going to be shooting on target um shooting on sight I mean against Swansea we did not put enough crosses into the box the likes of Hashi Victor Moses not enough and they weren’t successful crosses either in fact Hashi and Moses alog together only put seven crosses into the box and only one out of those seven was successful that’s not good enough col and Morris only having one shot at goal in the in the last three League games it it appears that Elijah rabo is the only one that’s having the opportunities and if you think of the game on the weekend against Stoke we only got the opportunity because he sensed the danger and he took full advantage of the poor back pass by the Swansea um Defender it’s an interesting one but the way I would go about trying to win this game is by playing the oldfashioned 442 formation and what I would do is I would play Moses and Elijah alabo because I feel like we need to bully that defensive box from Stoke we need to bully that box we need to put load of crosses into the box we need to be aggressive we need to be attacking balls we need to be on the edge of the box ready for the you know if the ball gets gets loose we need to be putting these balls into the box as I’ve already mentioned a lot of goals which Stoke have conceded have been from you know not winning their battles in the air we can exploit that we’ve got the players to do that from set pieces the likes of Tom Holmes and mcginness you know attacking that ball we’ve got players within our team that can win the ball in the air so we need to use that to our full advantage how would I set the team up well we found out from the press conference today Amari Bell he’s out injured so that’s a massive loss so the defense is going to be interesting i’ be really frustrated if we play five at the back because we’re very limited in defense at the moment I’m not too sure about Reese ber I haven’t heard and I haven’t watched the full press conference I haven’t heard much about Reeb but my prediction is he’s probably not fit and available but I can imagine Newton’s back five so the goalkeeper in Thomas and then the I would play a back four I think it has to be a back four I play hashy right back I played the two Center halfes in mcginness and Holmes I thought holes was quite good against Onie left back I would play Joe Johnson it feels like we’ve only got one player to play there and that is Joe Johnson an academy player who I think deserves an a chance and an opportunity to prove himself I would play him there I would not play Victor Moses there we are taking away Victor Moses strengths but I can imagine Rob Edwards is going to play a back three of Holmes mcginness and also man Anderson and I don’t think that’s the correct decision and I really hope he doesn’t play that as a back five and then play Victor mes as a left wing back so I just to repeat again Thomason goal right back hashy mcginness Holmes as the center back partnership and I’ll play Joe Johnson as the left back then the four players in front of the back four I would play right mid I would play Brown and the reason why I play Brown as a Winger is because he’s also quite good in the air so if we dictate majority of our played to the left hand side which I would play Victor Moses Moses can put the ball into the box you then have Elijah Colton Morris in the box cuz they’re going to be my two Strikers and then Brown can arrive late in the box and be that extra guide to be aggressive in the box and hopefully win a few headers so that’s my thinking behind it so then we’ve got three players to attack the box so my two Wingers Brown and Moses the center mid partnership I think you need to have a defensive minded one and an attacking minded one because in a 442 formation you need to be really disciplined out of possession and also in possession I don’t think the Midfield partnership has to be Clark and Krauss I think if we use those two as our Midfield partnership it won’t work it simply won’t work they I don’t think they the balance just isn’t there so I would either play nber and Krauss or theber and Clark it can’t be clarkk and Krauss and it does not work they because Krauss he runs around like a headless chicken pressing all the time and I don’t think Clark will sit and defend so I think you need a defensive minded and a more attacking minded and I think if Krauss and nber play as the Cent Aid partnership nber defensive side of things Krauss can be that aggressive trying to win the ball back and be a little more um aggressive in his press because in a 442 I feel like we when we get the ball spray it out wide get it out wide to Brown get it out wide to Victor Moses and as already mentioned my two Strikers Elijah alabo and Morris so I repeat cuz I know that’s quite a lot of information Thomas in goal right back Hashi mcginness holes Center back partnership left back Joe Johnson right mid brown two Center mids in I would play Krauss and I would play nber no actually I won’t I play nber and I’ll play Clark left mid I play Victor Moses and the two Strikers I would play Elias rabo and Colton Morris I think that would work I really do but I don’t think Edwards will go with that formation there’s a lot of pressure on Edwards and I will repeat the stat John steel got sacked after 10 games where he only managed to pick up two wins at the moment we have we’re going through this nine game spell with Edwards and we’ve only picked up two wins if we do not win against Stoke he will have the exact same stat which John steel got and he was John Ste got sacked he was a club Legend a guy who achieved a wonderful achievement in getting us back in the football league he was the man that started the journey built those original foundations which Edwards is kind of using today but at the moment we’re going backwards and I don’t believe Edwards deserves more time than what John Ste got that’s not fair in my opinion and I’m just going off by history we’ve sacked a manager in December before I believe we’re going to have to do it again we need a complete reset but this it’s up to Edwards it’s up to him don’t be stubborn in your formation do not be stubborn be adaptable show adaptability that’s what I want but as I said the way I see us winning is by putting crosses into the box and exploiting that Stoke weakness which is aerial battles in the air we can do it it’s up to us but we also got to be watch we got to watch out for that Counterattack from Stone cuz they are
