Baltimore orio signed former top prospect Franklin beretto to a minor league deal so beretto he was a top prospect in the Oakland Athletic system many seasons ago on the centerpiece of the Josh Donaldson deal coming from the Toronto Blue Jays going to Oakland but he just never panned out and we haven’t seen beretto in many seasons now I think since the 2020 season we haven’t seen beretto in the major leagues where he couldn’t do anything with Oakland then he got latched on with the Los Angeles Angels and ever since then we haven’t seen him in the major league so OB obiously I don’t think he’s going to make the major league ball club with Baltimore where they loaded obviously last season a great regular League season and then lost in the playoffs I think they going to have a big off season this is just a Min League dep move bringing in beretto to see if he’s got anything left in the tank and possibly could surprise in spring training but he’s not going to be a fantasy option I highly doubt he makes this club as the 25th 26th man but he’s definitely someone to talk about that we a former top prospect who was top 10 for many seasons in the minor leagues and ranked just hasn’t been in the major league for many seasons so Franklin beretto signs a minor league deal with the both Mor orals and we’ll see if somehow he can make a major league club out of spring training enter in the 2025 season
