directly ahead of you had the 15 was literally 15 had the 15th best record in baseball than Seattle Mariners how does it make you feel what that I it’s so stupid I I don’t mind the lottery thing but like come on man throw us a bone yeah don’t doesn’t don’t you feel better no the honestly the major Le baseball mins will just take the team away they don’t care like I the Rockies have make you feel better would it make you feel better if they actually spent money cuz I think I saw something where it’s like the GI the Nationals the angels and Rockies can’t get like a high pick next year so it’s to me it does the opposite where it’s like we’re not going to get a top 10 pick anyway why spend the money to field a competitive team cuz like if the whole thing is is if you’re looking at it this way is like even if you were to give up your first round pick for like a high-end free agent going back to the NBA thing oh right because Major League Baseball does a stupid like hey you signed a free agent you lose your first round pick stuff something like that like I forgot about that like you can like I but I think I think now it’s compensation picks I think they didn’t like the NFL moved away from it yeah but it’s like you do get a draft pick I want to say because I know the you get a draft pick if you lose a high price fre yeah yeah yes it used to be you lose like your first round pick so two back-to-back first round picks and got Mike Trout God because the Yankee because they got the Yankees first round pick but now it’s like competitive balance pick or something um right player what is it cuz I remember a couple years ago competitive yeah it’s like like something like that and then if they get signed it’s like you get some you get um so the 10 lowest Revenue clubs get an extra pick it looks like something like yeah yeah so Revenue sharing and they get a pick or a pick after the fourth round or com so like like if like the Angels the Dodgers they get a competitive like they get just get a competitive balance pick or something gotcha and they can be traded interesting yeah if they get trade get nothing so like Revenue sharing is like a third round pick [ __ ] CBS Sports illusional and sign like Corbin burn to in a ungodly expensive contract and go ball the wall because they’re going to get that because it’s like yeah because the whole thing is like you have nothing to lose you can’t lose your pick you might as well just say [ __ ] it we ball the thing is though you’re assuming the owners are willing to spend the money like no pick or no pick position is worth $100 million the rocky owner would need to spend well here’s the whole thing it’s allegedly allegedly they were in on Max freed who signed an eight-year almost $200 million deal with the Yankees so at least it seems like they were lurking and willing to do something so if that’s the case it’s like well if if you’re kind of like if the logic now is we got a top talent he’s gonna this this picks clearly gonna help us in a couple years because the guy they’re projected to get is a four-year college student who’s hit 50 home runs so wa you’re last two years so you’re saying the Rockies were in on that on on the guy that’s house no no the Angels were but what I’m saying is like the rocky should be as well right yeah cuz yeah I guess if you sign up toate your deal by the time the first rounder is ready you’re in the midst of that deal so it actually would make sense cuz yeah I have trouble I I always think of it in NFL and NBA terms where like the longest deal is like four years and I’m like I kind of no one is going to be none of these young guys are going to be ready by the time that deal is like round you know like you know what’s funny is if you if you were to look at like the um like Wan sto deal and stuff where it’s like oh they you know people they PA they paid a 36y old Juan sto for like 20 M $200 million I’m like no one’s looking at the back end of that deal because they don’t care yeah who cares that’s the they’re hoping the front end it’s gonna be fine yeah but like could you imagine that in like NBA terms where it’s like five years $100 million or think they’ve sent the majority of it I okay so yeah according to google he’s under contract three more years salaries of 32 27 15 million and the Rockies will cover 5 million each of the next two don’t make sense for an aado he wants to go to a team that wants to win now granted kind of little like the but that that’s the whole thing is like that’s the thing is like every and I know like when it as a writer when it comes to this stuff like your information isn’t necessar isn’t how do I put this your information sometimes it isn’t perfect especially for beat WR well not than that is like I try not to write team propaganda pieces or just be team propaganda I don’t believe in it but some some writers you know do I’m not saying she is but there was some um some some things that they that have been talked about in one of them from a podcast I listened to from locked on is they made the comment too of like look yeah they want a youth they want to get younger not necessarily something the Angels would want to give up now however if they were to be like hey we’ll give we’ll trade you shitty contract for shitty contract we’ll take Aeron a you take rendone for two years and see what the hell you can do with himh because the teams that they’re saying they’re that they’ looked at or they’ve sort of looked at to be traded with where it’s like you know he said um he has the Dodgers the Padres angels on his wish list and he said he’d be willing to accept trace the Phillies Mets are Red Sox right yeah like Mets maybe if they want to part with like batty but you know they could get him I you know same the Phillies if they would give up bone which they’ve sort of talked about doing and the Red Sox I don’t necessarily see because that means they have to move de first so maybe for Co Tristan Cox I suppose they could do it but it’s a little bit like I it’s like how much money do they want to eat up because if it were because that’s the only reason why I think the Angels make sense because he’s got three years Anthony rone has two so they essentially get one last year and it could just be one of those you know like the NBA does like those weird like salary dump moves salary dump yeah you’re trading a bad contract for a bad contract but you’re also reducing the amount of time you’re with that bad contract and that would allow the Cardinals to reset sooner right yes the realistically like and this is my NBA tra is like that bad contract and the carinal send like 10 like10 million or something right on top of like the Rockies to help pay it down because it’s like hey we get one less year right like that seems like a fair trade and then maybe throw in a couple like B tier prospects or something I don’t know cuz like to me that seems fair like if he wants out you kind of like you get two years and or something because I think a lot of people are expecting like oh they’re get like Alex bom or Brett batty for him and I’m like I don’t think he’s worth something like that I mean not at unless unless you’re pay down that contract right because the whole thing is hypothetically the Cardinals win any deal because they’re not paying that money right yeah like if you’re able you’re essentially getting him on a minimum contract when he’s still maybe not an All-Star but he’s still a really good because like if you’re looking at the other teams in that in that realm it’s like why are they gonna take on that contract right where it’s like if you’re in a situation where you have a bad one you’re like hey let you do what you want with him sort of situation right or you keep like or you know you three team it or something but it’s like I I don’t know if they’re going to get the price they want back right when argumentatively if he like randone were to go to St Louis he doesn’t have to play Third he could DH for them because they have an open DH spot and sort of see what goes yeah and honestly like whatever or [ __ ] he could just retire or the the Cardinals could end up flipping him for someone else too so it’s not even like yeah like there could be a three- team deal or it’s like oh we you know take F on and you know Cardinals will get something they actually want back and the angels get aado cuz like and I will mention cuz like yeah I read this the article that the six teams it was reported by MLB uh yeah.com guy or whatever uh that that’s like who he’s willing to that that’s like his wish list or whatever and I guess there are other situations where he would be willing to trade as well um and mind you he is from Southern California just about to say that he’s from new yeah yeah he’s from Newport he went to El Toro so a lot of people are saying like that’s the reason he wants to wave it to the angels is because he want maybe he wants to come home and that’s sort of where he’s at and I mean I mean that makes perfect sense right it’s one of those things where it’s like realistically if this if you could get it I’m not saying they’re going to I don’t the Cardinals are in no real position to do any favors but I do think that when a guy sort of if the if in his head he’s like I my first instinct is to go home like I want to go home and the angels could help me be closer to home mhm then maybe they kind of get something to work where it’s like hey you you were good with that you were good here a couple year for a couple years well we’ll bite the bullet and take a a a worse contract to make it happen but we get one less year right and the thing is too like Aeron is W with the no trade clause so he has the power anyway so if like you know there if they can’t strike the deals with the other five teams you’re willing to wait for and the angels are the only one that are giving an offer like yeah we don’t necessarily know and we don’t know what that offer is because some like we sort of talked about where it’s like they could argument have both of them and just move randone somewhere else they the GMS talked about it but at some but at some point too it’s the big thing is just like well why don’t we just cut him he’s not doing us any favors he’s sort of just there he’s kind of not doing great like right like we’re what’s the better position but I I I don’t know if if aado comes the Angels you know hey bomb all for it but I’m more intrigued to see like if the Cardinals would be willing to do he’s in this position where it’s like he’s gonna see like think about how many more guys he’s actually gonna see he will see a lot a lot more yeah so if he were to do this like four years mhm three or four years and then he like I said he does the whole thing like you know then jumps back to the NFL you think you might you bring up an interesting point because that’s like because that’s what Harbaugh did it’s true went and yeah he did college for though he was in college before San Francisco you remember when but but my point is you remember when Harbaugh and Carol went to the NFL and way so like obviously yeah he was the the GM of the patriots who made all the football decisions I know he’s had interviews with Atlanta last year I think for their head coaching job and I’m sure he’s talked to other other uh teams about vacancies even if it was just like in passing you think they told them do you think they told him something I wonder if they said it was kind of a a sensus is like hey we’ll hire you as the coach you do not get GM powers and I wonder if he decided to go to college because he could be essentially coach and GM in college he has way more power there than he would that’s the level you have to be at and if all and whole thing is I to do this for three years but if I play for Bill bellich one because think about this think about all the problems that the NFL is having if you play for him because think about it if you’re lineman you’re a quarterback you’re an o line dline or a quarterback you’re going to understand the pro style better than a lot of these other guys is put up with the stuck this the crotchy Stars Phil jackass for three years to be that to have that advantage in a Pro system to where you’re gonna understand a Pro System how to play Under Center at you know if you’re a freshman 18 19 you know 18 1920 mhm going to the NFL 21 already know part of the pro style offense yep he could be the biggest [ __ ] on the planet but you’re gonna have that much more in advantage over every other quarterback every lineman in college and pro teams are going to know that that’s true and honestly it may help to being under Bill bellich obviously he has all the NFL connections versus college coaches probably they do but not quite to the same level as billich like I said because Bill bellich knows the problems yes that are playing the NFL in terms of those positions and he’ll set his players up to fix those exactly so if you’re a top end quarterback going into this year like you know like not like a decent fourstar if that if you can if he goes in there let’s say he gets like I don’t know like the fifth best quarterback right yeah and he plays under a pro St offense for three years yeah that doesn’t you know doesn’t portal out he plays there three consecutive years gets drafted and go you know declares for the draft he might go higher than guys who are more talented him simply because he plays a pro style offense because he that that player knows the system and understands how a pro style offense is gonna work that’s going to give you leg advantage and he and Bill’s smart enough to re to see that issue yeah that’s probably what for sure is I’m going to get you to the NFL and you’re going to have an advantage over these other kids where it’s like the whole yeah because the whole thing is he can easily just be like hey look to a fourstar like think or hell even a three star guy it’s like you C you so I don’t I I kind of wonder when it comes to the NFLs they look at skills but I wonder too if they’re more willing to jump on a guy that knows this knows how how they want how if an OC knows how they want their system to be worked in and head coach knows how that system wants to be worked in and he can read a pro style offense and lead a pro an NFL offense mhm under Center and not gun that’s gonna give like I said I think that gives that more of an advantage versus you know like shador Sanders because if you if you have the talent of sedor Sanders and you can play Under Center yeah you’re like you’re you’re that much more valuable pick right there yeah so no I I think you’re right you’re point guard on the Nuggets like not replacing Westbrook I love Westbrook but like earlier this year I’d have been like yeah I’d rather have Ben Simmons if you ignore the salaries in 18 games he’s averaging 5.2 5.2 points MH by almost six rebounds and seven assist it’s it’s not bad yeah and he’s shooting 50% from the field 60% 60 yeah 60.8% like he’s essentially Draymond Green just he doesn’t
