π Video Description:
Theses are the TOP Outfield free agents left that could make sense for Atlanta to sign. With Acuna out for the beginning of 2025 it makes sense now more than ever that the Braves will go out and acquire a starting outfielder. This video only goes over free agents as I’m making an entirely separate video for Braves Outfield Trade Rumors so be sure to subscribe if you havent already so you wont miss out on that!

with Ronald aunia Jr’s second ACL injury looking a little bit worse than originally anticipated it seems like the Braves will need some help in the outfield for the 2025 season now I’m only going to be going over free agents in this video but I’m be making an entirely separate video for outfield trade Target so be sure to subscribe so that you don’t miss that video but looking at the free agent Market we have quite a few good options left but let’s go ahead and talk about the only two left that I believe would be a good upgrade for the Braves and that’s Taos gandz and Anthony Santander Santander is the younger of the two at 30 years old and he put up impressive offensive numbers these past few years including mashing 44 home runs in 2024 for the Orioles along with average defense According to uzr which made Santander a three- win player for the Orioles last year now if he can continue to mash 30 plus home runs and play average defense in left field for Atlanta I think they would be more than thrilled to have them s Tander is projected by MLB trade rumors to sign a 4year $80 million deal but that number will likely go higher now that we’ve seen sto sign an eyering 15-year $765 million deal as teams who missed out on soda will now pivot to either Santander or Hernandez the Orioles also offered Santander a qualifying offer which he rejected so Atlanta would be penalized by losing up to $1 million in international bonus pool money as well as their second and fifth highest Selections in the 2025 draft however anthopolos has made comments this offseason expressing his desire to improve the Braves and not sitting idle stating it all comes back to the major league team and if you can make your big league team better especially when we’re in a position where we are where we’re in a position to win at this moment in this time with this core that’s always going to be the priority but anthopolos also knows how hard those penties can be for a team that builds around prospects like the Braves stating I think the big thing for that is if you are losing draft picks dollars still matter of course but it’s just a tax it’s just a percentage you’re going up it’s for every dollar over you’re aware of it but it doesn’t stop you from doing anything if the right opportunity presents itself we’ll do it now GM speak aside it’s time for us to Pivot to the Oscar Hernandez who is also a free agent last year but ended up taking a one-year $23 million show me contract with the Dodgers and it is paid off nicely for both the Dodgers and Hernandez as the left fielder went on to mash a career high 33 home runs while posting some of his best strikeout and walk rates of his career his weighted runs created plus showed he was an allaround above average hitter last year and combine that with his average glove work and you now have a three and 1 half win season oh yeah and he ended up winning the Home Run Derby so there’s that but like s Tanner before him teoscar was offered and declined a qualifying offer from the Dodgers so the Braves would be penalized by losing up to $1 million in international bonus pool money as well as their second and fifth highest selection in the 2025 draft at 32 years old Hernandez is projected by MLB trade rumors to sign a three-year $60 million deal but again I think that number could go higher now as the market has seen some unexpected inflation this year now I know there’s some other option out there including trade options which I will cover in a separate video so be sure to subscribe already if you haven’t so that you won’t miss out on that video but for where the Braves are I just don’t see them pursuing another Kellick type player jerks and profar is probably the only exception to that as he already saw his Renaissance here last year but all of his value is tied up in his Bat and the Braves really aren’t looking for another DH but an outfielder maybe they do go after jeren but I just think if they were going to go with a below average fielder who can hit at an above average rate then I would have expected them to have just held on to J Solair rather than trade him but I will admit soler’s defense is essentially non-playable in the Outfield anymore and jxon had a much better 2024 than Solair that being said I just see the Braves either trading for a full-time regular outfielder or signing one of the guys above who can help them now as a regular outfielder and in a few years could still have some value at the end of their contract tracks as a DH but that’ll wrap it up for this one guys if you haven’t already be sure to check out my other videos on what I think the Braves will be doing at other positions this off season and as always thank you all for watching and I hope you all have a wonderful day
