the Dodgers and the socks have been linked to Nolan arado Red Socks we’re already doing one trade for you in this video it’s all you’re going to get is the one so we’re going to focus on the Dodgers for ronado and let’s begin there many times we hold the Dodgers to the end because maybe we’re doing an east to west or an Al to NL and the Dodgers just end up coming up towards the end of the video You Lead off this one Dodger fans you got to like that that infields with Nolan AR ronado is I mean amazing we have three future Hall of Famers in this infield Max mun is going to need to step it up if he wants to compete Max Muny interesting there’s been talk was dodger blue that had a report that Max Muny was open to Nolan a ronado but then yesterday the Dodgers would say Max Muny would be the starting third baseman look it’s all the the whole Dodgers thing and mun’s our third baseman feels like Leverage and look if obviously Nolan arado would be an upgrade the Cardinals are probably trying to work you guys to take on the entire salary so you need to look like you’re turning your back but I think there’s still a really good chance that if Nolan arado is dealt it’s to La what’s his trade value though look we are going to in all of these trade proposals bring in a third party that is baseball trade values to attempt to remove any biases I may or may not have so every trade that we’re going to run through works on baseball trade values the assigned valuations that they have for each player now Nolan’s in a tough spot because what was it $74 million is still remaining a lot of it is deferred until he’s 50 really sure it’s like2 or three million a year for like another 10 or 15 years after he’s after the current contract expires so his values taking a hit Nega 20.7 million but the Dodgers also have a negative value player so let’s get to that what’s the trade Nolan ronado and only Nolan ronado going to La and St Louis is going to get two pieces the word is St Louis wants to find a trade that works for both sides yes of course sure great uh yes you you really want to help the Dodgers out here I’m sure you do you want to make sure that you’re taken care of in this trade not just looking to deal lonado and have to pay for him to go away you’re still going to have to kind of do that though here’s the trade Dodgers get ronado the Cardinals get Chris Taylor and Tony gonin in addition the Dodgers are going to have to get $8.5 million from the Cardinals to make this work Chris Taylor’s got one more year it’s about $13 million I actually think it is exactly $13 million for the 2025 season that could actually his versatility could help the Cardinals so this is not just a you here take our take our Chris Taylor salary Chris Taylor could help the Cardinals infield Outfield veteran leadership could be a good piece okay um and you’re also help you’re you’re getting something instead of just giving the Dodgers $20 million of the remaining salary you’re actually getting something in the $13 million that your cover kind of by taking on Chris Taylor so we get that and there’s a there’s a club option with a $4 million buyout for the 2026 season you will you will execute that you’ll have to give him the 4 million bucks but you won’t have to give him the 13 or 14 million that he’s owed for that final year Tony gonlin would be a nice piece to add into your rotation right now as a Cardinals I don’t think St Louis wants to blow this thing up right uh T gona would be a nice addition to your rotation trading Nolan ronado does not necessarily mean that Cardinals are going to tank moving forward that there is a fire sale coming this is a baseball move to help them reset things uh moving forward because the Nolan arado contract does not work for them anymore so in this scenario you get out of most of it and what you’re getting back actually helps the team this is a negative -2.2 million in value headed to the Dodgers and A2 .3 million in value headed to the Cardinals but it actually looks better than that right you get a a elite defensive third baseman if you’re the Dodgers the bat will still do things and if you’re the Cardinals you get a versatile player a veteran uh guy in Taylor and you get Tony Gin Gin is projected to make about five six million bucks in arbitration this year and then you have another year of Tony gonlin which if things are going south deal Tony gonlin in the off season next year you you’ll get something for him if he’s bouncing back and and he’s showing you what he has shown in the past when he’s healthy so this is this is a win-win trade for me Dodger fan Cardinal fans what do you think comment down below this feels like a win-win Dodgers you can afford any Dodger fan that wants to hold on to Tony gonin Tony gonin with the rotation that you have right now is so Expendable it’s not even funny DM you don’t need to hold on to Tony gonin if it brings your Nolan AR ronado I think that’s what you need to do comment down below is this is this a win is this a loss are you doing it leave your thoughts let’s talk about casus and Valdez they’re both in the thumbnail they’re getting traded for each other plus there’s plus this is not a one for one it does not work as a one for one we heard that the Boston Red Sox were talking to Seattle and they wanted to get Miller or woo for casus and it sounded like that was a straight up thing and the the Seattle Mariners were like thanks no thanks look the pitching the the value on pitching is higher if you have a position player like Tristan Kus who has four more we’ll talk about this in a second four more years of control and a pitcher that has the equal amount of control even if the everyday player is a monster the pitcher is still going to have the higher value that is why you can’t do Miller or woo for casus Miller W both on baseball Savant carry about a $55 million trade value Tristan casus on baseball Savant even with those four years of control is carrying a $29.8 million value as you can see that doesn’t work that’s why you don’t get Miller or woo for casus but you can do this fber Valdez doesn’t quite get to the casus value but we’re close enough now to where we can have a conversation the 24.4 million in value for Valdez gets us to a point where we can talk about this now the years of control this is where it looks really lopsided and this is where again you have to inflate the value for pitching the one year of framber Valdez is 24.4 the four years of trist Costas is 29.9 and this is coming from baseball trade values who I believe at times have appeared biased in favor of Red Sox valuations they say they have an algorithm and it’s proprietary they’re not going to share that that information so um I mean it it’s just been my read sometimes Red Sox prospects have seemed like they’re valued a little bit a little bit higher than they should be uh and and Veterans valued a little bit higher than they should be maybe that’s just something I’m hung up on but this is again where we can go now for the record and I I hate that I’m burying this right in the middle of the video but for the record I do not want the Red Sox to trade Tristan casus I’m about to show you a trade that I don’t think the Red Sox should do but when you consider what’s going on this is where we’re at they’re shopping him they’re trying to get a deal done and at some point when he hears that these deals are they’re talking about it does he I mean look he has he’s saying the right things but do you get to the point where where it you kind of need to trade him because you’re you’re you’re jading the player as far as Houston is concerned this is why you got to do it right this is a Houston Astros team that is trying to extend the lifespan of this window to compete Altuve is getting older bregman could be gone Tucker could be gone next year Valdez could be gone next year casus is a 4year proposition you’ve got to do this htown wheelhouse I want to give you a shout out that this was his brainchild I saw him post the idea of Casas for Valdez and I went and looked it up I was like oh yeah we could actually talk about that from a value standpoint again I don’t want Boston to trade Costas I want Boston to dip into their farm system and trade prospects for framber Valdez or Bryce Miller or or Luis Castillo or whatever they do I want them to trade prospects not Tristan CIS I’m a believer that once you have a guy that has shown that he can hang at the major league level that that’s the guy you need to keep and build around sell your pro trade your prospects away because you don’t know what they’re going to do yet as far as the Red Sox rotation goes I mean and this is this is why we’re here this is a Red Sox team they missed out on Blake Snell they’re linked to all the other guys even if they do get freed or Burns or any of the other top uh top rotation pieces available on the free agent Market I think Boston needs to grab two top of the rotation pieces here you’ve got yes go go and get Corbin Burns go and get Max freed but also make this trade or a trade that brings you picture there is a scenario where I think you could probably get framber Valdez by dangling prospects but again Tristan casas’s name is who’s out there in the trade win so that’s why we’re doing this so what’s the trade going to look like you’re probably like come on Jim get on with it so casis to the Astros on his own no other pieces we got to send three to Boston though to make the value work because again four years of casus one year of Valdez framber Valdez plus JP France and Pedro Leon JP France was hurt last year but go look at his first year he was really good Pedro Leon was a was a was a top onetime top prospect a monster down in the miners you got to give him a chance at the major league level uh to see what got he didn’t show a whole lot in a small sample size last year but there could still be something there and if you’re getting JP France JP France is early in those arbitration years so you’re getting a player with a ton of control and upside in JP France and you’re getting forber Valdez you get 29.4 million in value headed to Boston 29.8 million in value headed to Houston now there is a caveat the only way I can say send to Houston and bring Valdez and a couple other pieces back the only way I can do this is if we are in agreement that there is an extension coming for Farmer Valdez I just something about the four years of cus the oneye Valdez even if we’re throwing France and Leon in there to get the values right the key piece is Valdez and if you’re trading costes you have to know maybe you have an extension worked out similar to the Tyler glass now deal last year with the Dodgers in the race get the extension get every get get the ball rolling on that extension so that you are not putting yourself in a position where Valdez walks and all you have left are the other pieces France and Leon or whatever other pieces you want to throw in to get the values right you’re doing this Astros fans are you doing this Boston fans are you doing it and if you’re not tweak it what has to happen comment down below all right here come the mets the New York Mets are along with the Yankees and a handful of other teams are vying for Garrett crochet and the yanies and Mets according to the athletic are at the top of the list this is why even with the Frankie Montas thing it’s not going to work even with the clay Holmes Edition it’s not going to work and I’m not sold that clay Holmes is lock it in set it and forget it a part of that rotation I trust David Sterns to make smart Personnel decisions player Acquisitions I I think clay Holmes Klay Holmes is best in the bullpen let’s do this instead SGA crochet Montas Peterson two 3 4 I’m I’m I’m liking this I really do and Paul Blackburn maybe it’s still clay Homes at the at the Five Spot in that rotation however how maybe it’s McGill however you want to work out the number five spot spot it’s a competition or Blackburn gets moved out because the Mets go and bring in Nathan avaldi I don’t know I you can’t I don’t think you can rule anything out at this point for the New York match Nathan avaldi would like nail it or maybe mania’s back uh if you can find a starting pitcher that’s looking at two years three max I think that is the absolute highest the Mets would go on a pitcher in their 30s is three uh for Mania you’d have to throw in a fourth year with an OP uh but maybe you could get a valdi two and a third however I’m getting I’m getting sidetracked with with the other pitching pieces let’s focus on crochet here so what’s the trade going to be it’s going to be tough Mets fans I have to warn you this is going to be a tough pill to swallow now again you’re going to get crochet extended as well so the the prospects that we’re talking about remember you’re not getting crochet and then he’s gone in a couple years 53.4 million in the highest valued player we have talked about in this video Garrett crochet is a topof the rotation forc to be reckoned with and that’s what you want and you’re going to give up a bunch of prospect position players that have proven nothing at the major league level we have heard that the white socks are looking for position players in return so that is all we’re going to do we have three three prospects all position players headed to Chicago and it is like I said it’s going to be a tough pill to swallow it’s got to be top of the mix we’re not going to be just be able to manipulate trade values and throw five or six pieces in there and just crawl our way to the the value the 53 million value for crochet no we we have to include Top Flight top tier prospects so here it is here it is already feel Mets fans I have not this video has not has not run uh this video has not processed this V I have not even put the names on the board and I already know I can feel Mets Nation right now Jed Williams Jeremy Rodriguez and Jesus bz are headed to the white socks to get gett crochet jet is the number two Prospect Rodriguez is number seven and bayas is number 14 I know you don’t want to part with jet Williams and if you don’t want to part with jet Williams I don’t know if you get Garrett crochet I I think that’s kind of where you need to set your expectation level if you are saying Hell no this is the stupidest trade I have seen ever proposed then you’re probably you need to get out of the Garrett crochet expectation level and if you are already out this is probably why you understand that it is going to cost too damn much to get crochet because there may be those that believe in position players more than they believe in pitchers G crochet could get hurt there’s a ton of different things you have three prospects here jet Williams is your number two Prospect in the organization really we want to get rid of him for gett crochet I don’t know anything about G croch I know he struck out a bunch of guys last year but that was with the white socks and that was in the American League Central and the the no offense but in the AL Central it it’s not as heated as it is in the National League East so is he going to translate this is what you have to be prepared to part with because this is what gets us to the value it is 53.4 we’re still still the Mets are winning this trade by the values on baseball trade values 53.4 to the Mets 51.9 to the Chicago White Socks in this trade Mets fans how you tweaking it you got to go big uh Clifford and and and anybody anybody else it doesn’t work you have to have one of the top two prospects in this trade and your other top prospect is a pitcher uh jet is the top position player Prospect in the Mets organization and that’s where you have to go if you want to get Garrett crochet those are Blockbuster trades to get deals done deals that we are seeing and hearing about in the
