so our friend Bobby marks he dropped his all NBA trade Buzz team this week so this is who leak Scouts Executives they have their eyes on during trade season and on Bobby’s first team as you can see here Jimmy Butler Zack LaVine you got some Pelicans teammates Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson plus the Wizards yonas Valen chunis as for the second team pay attention to these names D’Angelo Russell Colin ston Jeremy Grant and it’s not just teams near the bottom of the standings look there’s Bobby poris and Mitchell Robins that round out the list so you know what that means we’re going on the clock to dive farther into this topic with 24 seconds on the shot clock I’m going to toss out a name and you can tell me if you think anything is going to happen between now and the February 6th trade deadline all right we’re going to start with Zack LaVine who still has two more seasons left on a max deal he’s averaging almost 22 points per game Tim bontemps is joining us now so Tim you get the first one how do you think this plays out I think it plays out with Zack LaVine staying in Chicago you just said it Malika he’s got a Max contract for the next two years we’ve talked ton about how guys with big contracts are going to be difficult to move in this new CBA environment the NBA is in I think it’s going to be the case with Zack LaVine in Chicago they love to move him and Nick vich probably to now in the trade deadline I think it’s very likely both of them are still in Chicago after it though and Shooters shoot Tim bontemp with time to spare how about the Lakers D’Angelo Russell he’s on an expiring $18.7 million contract his numbers have dropped off from last season Brian what happens with Russell here 24 seconds you’re being kind by saying they dropped off he’s really not having a good year Malika he’s got the lowest three-point shooting in eight seasons he’s got his lowest scoring average since his rookie season he’s kind of fallen out of the starting lineup for the Lakers although he’s played okay off the bench at this point he’s really kind of cap filler his value isn’t super high I will say don’t give up on him he had a great second half last season but I don’t think teams are out there looking to trade for him I think they’re looking for his contract maybe I’m going to give you those last couple of seconds finally the man in Miami Jimmy Butler it feels like the trade chatter changes as often as his hair do switch up legs what do you think’s going to happen with Jimmy Butler 24 seconds I’m not going to pretend to know if Miami is finally going to move on from Jimmy Butler because his name comes up all the time but here’s what I will say like he’s still a needle mover for somebody if you want to if you’re a team you think you can contend you’re one piece away Jimmy Butler his usage rate’s not as high doesn’t take as many shots do have big splashy regular season games but he’s playing very very efficiently 55% from the field and still gets to the line eight times a night that’s important for the playoffs see Tim legler beats the buzzer all right Shams he reported on Jimmy earlier this week he said that the heat they’re listening to teams who would want Jimmy Butler at the top of Jimmy’s list reportedly the Warriors the Rockets the Mavs and the Suns all in the west so we thought this would be the perfect opportunity to maybe dust off our wheel of trade season we’re going to keep it in the west though Chen auum yes Malika you’re about to get traded I know I I I get to pick both of them are going apparently on that board you aggressive I know that there have been a number of teams floated as potential options for Jimmy Butler but this one right here probably makes some sense to me just because what they’re missing to me is that personality KD is tremendous when he’s on the floor they win but they have to win the non-kd minutes they have to win the games where he’s not playing and so far Bradley Beal and Devin Booker it hasn’t been able to they haven’t been able to do that so far um but I know there’s some contingencies there when it comes to the contract but still I’m not mad at Jimmy potentially in Phoenix let’s keep an eye on that uh Tim would you like to channel your inner van white here we try not to break it so we’ll see there we go all right I didn’t break it good job that was a nice gentle spin I was I really just didn’t want to break it oh yeah there we go so this means I get to choose let’s go what do we got I am very curious what you think the Timberwolves will be up to that’s a very interesting question the Timberwolves are going to be over interesting teams to watch in trade deadline season we’ve seen them struggling right now they’re down the play and mix in the Western Conference standings not where they want to be the fit there with Julius Randall and dantean chenzo has been pretty clunky I think they’re going to potentially try to get some more shooting maybe but they can go in a lot of different directions Julius brand to be a free agent next summer de chendo got an interesting contract I’m very curious to what the wolves do Tim connell’s an active guy I think they could be one of the most interesting team to watch in the league over the next few couple of weeks Tim thank you Tim squared all right Tim squared here we go I’ll be gentle to spin all day we know you move they look so great prior to last night it look like a team that actually could contend for a title this year I don’t know that they do anything Mr winhurst bring us home let’s go Wy I was hoping I could trade you for Laura Rel or something we love Laura welcome anytime Denver Denver Nuggets the Denver Nuggets have treat needs they don’t have much to trade if you look at their roster the only thing that they really want to trade is Zeke Nagi who’s Fally fallen out of favor there but there’s not a lot of interest in him they’ve traded away all of their first round draft picks there is a possib ility that they could listen on Michael Porter Jr who’s a guy that they actually talked about extending in the near future if there’s a big move there it’s with Porter Jr the problem is this organization has not shown that it wants to go very deep into the tax and so if there’s a trade that adds a lot of money long term I’m not so sure that what this organization is going to do I’d look for a smaller move around the margins to help their bench just under two months between now and the trade deadline what do you think active semi-active not so active I’ve learned over my years plus that you never really know you can say that you you what you think is going to happen can I give an answer yes please I think we’re going to have an inactive trade deadline for the reason I said before these new CBA rules are making it really difficult for teams to move big salaries guys like Zack LaVine Michael Porter junr they’re going to be hard to be traded I think we’re not going to see
