Mark damico he’s tweeting out kind of the repercussions that we now face so Boston cannot win Group C which is the group that we are in right now with the Atlanta Hawks the Cleveland Cavaliers I do have a little logo here to show you guys that way you can follow along with what I’m saying once I find where this freaking thing is God why am I the most unorganized person I’ve ever met in my entire life that’s my question so basically because the Atlanta Hawks won earlier it’s now pretty much impossible for Boston to win unless they end up doing something like uh blowing out the Bulls by like 50 so East sea group does contain the Atlanta Hawks the Boston Celtics Chicago Bulls Cleveland Cavaliers and the Washington Wizards the Celtics are one of seven east teams still alive for the four quarterfinal spots which is Boston Atlanta Chicago Orlando New York Milwaukee and Detroit so basically Atlanta and Chicago and then Boston Cleveland and Washington those are the standings right now because if Chicago ends up beating Boston the Bulls will win Group C and the Boston Celtics will be eliminated however there are a couple other ways that the Boston Celtics can technically still stay in here to try and compete so if Boston Beats Chicago Atlanta will win Group C but the Celtics are still alive for the wild card spot so there will be six teams that move on to the next round of the NBA cups and that is every winner of the group so the Atlanta Hawks are going to be the winner of the East SE group that I just showed you guys but Boston is still in the running to be that wild card spot which I believe there are two wild card spots maybe four but I believe it’s two and there are still some games left to play all right let me see if there’s any other implications that I’m missing here the exact necessary win total is unknown right now which is why everybody’s phrasing it like that so we don’t know if Boston were to blow out Chicago by a certain number of points would that matter at all but right now it is Atlanta then Chicago then Boston then Cleveland then the Washington Wizards so we’re in third so it’s really fight of the Bulls a why can’t you just say goodbye like because we play 82 games because it’s such a long season he just didn’t think that he wanted all these teams to fight for one trophy so why not have a little bit of competition trying to win something in the middle of the year so that’s pretty much it however you do want to win because a it puts your name on the map and it tells the rest of the league you know we can take you an in season and postseason as well and there is a lot of uh money compensation so every player would win about $500,000 for winning the championship and that goes a long way for players like Baylor shyman Anton they just kind of stayed away from their plays they stayed away from making good shots taking good shots primarily and just kind of chucking anything up that was going the thing that really uh stood out to me in this ball game was the second quarter was just dominated by the three ball that wasn’t really going in for Boston and then they kind of finally straight away from moua ball you got to see a little bit more of Tatum taking action driving inside a lot of that third and fourth quarter was a lot of points in the paint and yeah of course there were three balls by pton Pritchard that allowed the Boston Celtics to get back in it but PP he he was on a hot streak he was heating up so I I’d rather have that than just a random Jaylen Browner Drew holiday 3 with with 15 seconds left from the shot clock I’d rather them actually try to run something try to drive inside take vo to the post which you had a lot of success with so we’ll have to wait and see what will come of the NBA cup now but
