are going to make the core of this team for the next couple years that are very very exciting to watch yeah well they lost the Gibbons and Ryan Gibbons but one of those players to watch is Cormac given see how he jumps in his third season Junior who had seven goals four assists last year last year was The Freshman I think that that stepped up and we’ll see them again this year look at Jake pry had seven goals 18 assists as a defenseman last year and then of course Braden Cisco with 18 goals and 15 assists for KJS it’s a different beast in the men in division of course so we’ll see how they adjust to this level but the big question is going to be Brian cyy in net last year 11 or sorry five games played only allowed 11 goals had a 906 save percentage in The Limited action that he played he was 4- one his only loss was to the Morristown Colonials in a non-divisional matchup so we’ll see how cye does in the men in division this year as the net minder for KJS and on the other side sha the chadam cougars who have already gotten a win in division play against BSM big step up in a test this time though after the 10 nothing Victory a couple days ago yeah you know look confidence is confidence is everything um mentally in hockey so you know take you take whatever you want whether a green assault or whatever you want to glass half full half empty however you want to do it um it does make everybody feel pretty confident about themselves now you’re going to be facing off against uh you know a team here that still has some components um but from last year obviously different goenda him have something to prove um here tonight and to show that that first game yeah we had nine different goal scorers for our 10 goals that we scored but you know we’re going to be able to do that we’re going to be able to do that maybe it might not be a the full brunt of that every night but we’re still going to be able to do a good amount of that on a gamely basis with the players that we have already and a lot of those goals came from some new faces Luke renle had a couple of goals in his debut you had a first s goal for Lucas kleinle the senior Rory MCN got on the board uh Henry Spina got on the board trip Connor got on the board Owen Young samam Jang Kieran Brendle with three assists you had a five-point night from Nate Crowley on the blue line and Charlie that just shows how tough this chadam team still is despite a massive turnover basically a brand new roster still extremely dangerous yeah and that’s one of the great things about a program like chadam we you know obviously they have a good they have a good JV program and so when players leave you get those new players that come in and take their spots and now they want to prove themselves that’s what we saw against BSM they have to do it again tonight against a good KJS Squad but there’s a reason why chadam have been at a top or near the top of the men for as many years as they have been this will be a good test a good measuring stick for both of these programs to see where they Stack Up in terms of this men and division it’s it’s really you know you don’t want to discredit BSM but we know it’s AIT rebuilding the year for them and you know rph mo beard are going to be at the top NOS would over a good performance in opening night but between them marst toown KJS and chadam it’s kind of an interesting mix to see how those last four kind of make their way out and again we don’t know what Marsh beer is going to come out with scoring you can almost add them in as like a group of five yeah it it’s very interesting based on what we’ve seen already from the men division last night Zach smallen was here alongside me and Sean Randolph had a good performance in their first game of the season number 27 of Sam Jang kept alive there by Alex Roslin another one of the returners for KJS sends it across backhand get in Michael Pisha a chance in front there for ches oh what a save by Lang daylight robbery on the doorstep denies Eddie Brown his first point in KJS colors and we’re still at zeros some of the saves we have seen this opening weekend of the mcss IHL have been just ridiculous and that’s just oh I’ve got this thank you very much I I will also do a quick swipe with my glove as this goes to the corner I mean last year we talked about it last year was kind of the big turnover year were starting net minders not as many this year not too many new timers in terms of starting rols and so you’ve got that added experience in between the pipes for most of the teams this year as it ends up with the Stick of Eddie Brown Eddie Brown the junior first year on Varsity for KJS fulltime kept Alive by Cisco plays to the middle but poked away for a brief moment cougars though can’t get it out unable to get there with samjang cougar Tred to work it out good keep there though by Joe Marino player that doesn’t get a lot of the headlines but a really solid defenseman for this KJS team Sean and he’s been good for the last couple years as that shot goes just wide far sideboards Marino Lofts it up the glass a chance for KJS the other way here comes Cisco Cisco looking for helps in the middle finds one there was trying to get it to Cormac Gibbons finds it way through a chance there from Sutton save my L and this is just sent the other way jadams has enough of this we’ll take the icing in stoppage at 10:46 good opening start here for KJS in the men in division Charlie not looking out of place no they they don’t look out of place last year in the H they looked like a men in team so it doesn’t surprise me too much that first four minutes or so they’ve settled right in and already Sean showing some highle tactical discipline as you saw there forward three coming in as that trailer and got a good shot from Cody Sutton yeah good job there that’s exactly what you’re looking for early on you getting that that kind of communication and understanding of situations off the puck is early on in a season um where you know you’re still getting used to your new teammates if you’re playing if you’ve been playing travel uh so that’s always a great sign too uh K on looking good so far first 5 minutes we know anything about Coach myin he wants hard work and discipline from his KJS team to a te as here they come into the zone and especially with the new challenges facing them here in the men as they come through it’s being played in the back of the net and nearly brought forward that was the 16 of Eddie Brown again rushing through as the Cougars go the other way where did they get him from He’s listed as a junior not sure if he played High School hockey somewhere else we’ll have to check on that I’m about to check that out right now there you go although Eddie Brown there might be a few hockey players named Eddie Brown well the way well his is spelled Ed y yes as Here Comes KJS the other way oh the drop pass was nearly perfect for Kaden Lombardo by Mel pandesia but just couldn’t quite link it up that time lobbed back in by trip Conor but not deep enough as Here Comes KJS the other way but unable control and going for a change is Eddie Brown KJS showing a very good for check so far this is what led to a lot of their success in the Halverson division last year finally culminating in that first cup win for the triop I found him he was playing at Bergen Catholic Aha and probably not getting a lot of opportunity and so he returns home to the triop and playing for the Long Island gos as well Tri Avalanche and now he’s with the goals so that’s uh anyone who knows youth hockey circles around the metropolitan area those are two outstanding programs that Eddie Brown has gone through not to mention Burk and Catholic also pretty good as this goes to the corner that would explain why he hasn’t been around yes that that would be true as chadam now though has possession long shot from the point nice save by cyy and he holds on well I have his head I have his picture why don’t we just throw that up there there is get get a look at the KJS United cards like those Ryan cyy again fulltime now it’s his net with the graduation of Ryland Gibbons and cyy has done a nice job so far from me being able to braw his games for the Hitman whenever I get the time of course as this one goes to the corner so far with the Hitman Elite seven games played to 922 save percentage and a 285 goals against it’s a 33 and one record so he’s had very good success at the junior level this season KJ’s backup this year is on the varsity roster at least is Andrew curado who has some triaa hockey experience as well wow barn burner uh result oh my between Lakeland and Clifton that just came in well we we saw that we saw Clifton the other day took Vernon to task they won 13 to1 but maybe that’s not a flash in the pan as Clifton just defeated Lakeland lak’s good too 8 to6 so a crazy game there out of the big North conference Lakeland beat up on Mountain Lakes 91 but has lost to the very game always very game West M defense last two games not that high for Lakeland as this goes down defense has been good here so far only two shots a piece yeah well that’s what you’d like to see from these two teams coming off a very exciting game from Park regional early on tonight Park beating Madison 51 the new addition to the Halverson Division and a great start to Parks life in the new division again for those new to it changed from the four five team divisions to three seven team divisions here as that’s a save by c0 six of the seven teams in each division make the Cup playoffs with the top two getting a buy from the first round so a lot of regular season games will now take on even more importance and for chadam Charlie if they can get the win here tonight as they come in on the Zone A Chance in front s the alert to it you go start two and0 in the division play that’s a really good start to have that house money for you yeah it’s a nice head start to get for chadam with these early men in division games in front of the circle shot save by Lang he’s just able to squeeze it great pass from Braden Cisco and a nice save from Snowden Lang a lot of grade A chances from KJS early on Langs made some good saves but can’t be facing those type of shots all night long if you want to keep that score low as this one goes across KJS keeps it in the zone kept Alive by Kad Lombardo he goes to the corner with it ja feeds it out in front a chance oh a chance redirected in front getting a piece of that was Lang good look again from Eddie Brown as he’s been all over the puck early here a loose Puck though just sitting for someone to take it nice work from Marino to backand it out and away from the chadam Cougars rushing in moving forward now Nate Crowley five-point night in the opener for the CER a goal in four spins it around behind going after it is James Lee he takes a hit in the corner to aide battle one out by the Cougars turn around shot toward the net was blocked KJS two on two coming the other way trying to weave their way through Eddie Brown feeds it across shot oh and a save by Lang moving to his right denies pandia Cody Sutton tried to again both of these teams look like they’re in pretty good form early on here I I you know for KJS is their first game but uh you know they’ve looked look pretty sharp pretty uh you know pretty well rested Obviously good shot there but just a little high but uh Chad got to say also got their legs going pretty good too against when they you know playing BSM you know you still oh oh chance in front for KJS but it couldn’t be found Cisco couldn’t get it off his stick in time as this goes behind he delivers a shoulder to his officite number Avery mid coming in Cisco tries to dance his way through all four chadam cougars and nearly got it through what a move there from the 17 as this is chopped across and back on it his is Cisco actually that was a 27 of Sam Jang who he dispossessed of the puck earlier nice poke through there by Gibbons coming in is KJS save by Lang and he’ll just dive on that after denying Cisco 510 remaining six shots to four in favor of KJS United and Lang been up to the task another player who’s it’s his net solley this year he took over the starting job for Nate May early on last year and just held on to it for most of the season from the senior and he’ll be in the net for most of the games in the division this year you would think for chadam they do have a backup in Conor sha The Freshman who may see some limited time as this goes the other way does not look like he is dressed for this game however I mean they had their emergency goal already on the bench anyway actually no I’m sorry he’s on the ice yes Mr 15 in blue Roman crai talk talk about a Talisman player by the way yeah last year undefeated when he scored a goal or played in goal either one oh it’s still the same because he scored a goal in the first game too shot comes with they score KJS as their first met division goal Michael pandesia goes top Corner nothing Lang could do one nothing to the trof Well it’s like that goal has been coming for KJS they have started this game off really well you see the skating skills getting through the defense and taking that shot as he mentioned nothing that Lange could do KJS with a hot start and he he forced that defenseman to drift Sean forc anything beyond maybe the second spot it’s quite honestly it’s it it can be it’s anybody’s guess um so I feel like you got a you got a you got a something an opportunity here and you know coach myin I in my opinion has been waiting and get and ready for been ready for this moment cuz the teams have always been so good and just at the end was always just kind of missed out at the end but you know he’s always been ready for being in the men in division now that he is you know I feel like now it the plan has been put in together and you can see it already it’s just fantastic wasn’t was very very just 30 and this is going to be the testing period now of seeing where KJS is at the very least in terms of their physicality and fitness yeah that is a huge point for this KJS team it’s their first game of the season it’s indivisual play against a pretty good chadam team from what we saw in their season opener how can you skate with them in this third period can you stick with them keep this two goal lead and for Chad it’s had he respond after two periods which they haven’t been able to really play their game oh what a pass to Sisco coming in save by Lang what a feed to Cisco he did with just a oneg goal deficit and the two cougars now Charlie are really starting to skate with confidence yeah they their skating is a different team this period so far they’ve turned it up a notch they put a good fight up cyy in my eyes is one of the best players on the ice tonight he made some great saves to keep his team ahead throughout the whole time and of course made the biggest save at the end of the game to win 4-3 and a statement from KJS there was no one was sure what they were going to be like losing some of their seniors from last year coming up to the men division well one
