hello everybody good morning and welcome to the United stands the news is massive it’s breaking news and Dan Ashworth has left Manchester United this morning he’s got to be one of the shortest term directors of football in history he only started officially in July he’s not even seen Christmas turkeys have lived longer than this absolutely incredible and this is also being driven by S Jim Radcliffe and uh in uh in removing effectively it’s mutual but nothing’s Mutual after 5 months something’s gone wrong there and apparently s Jim Radcliff and inos have driven this to get rid of Dan Ashworth what are your thoughts what however you look at this and I’ve got to be honest my take’s probably different to everybody else’s but however you look at it this it’s another bump in the road for Manchester United they spent heavily in the summer uh and gave Eric tenh a new contract they sacked him um they brought they brought uh amim in and man united have had a bad start um and now the director of football that they spent most of this year trying to get remember end of January we’re taking Dan Ashworth from Newcastle and then he starts in July and he’s gone in December it’s embarrassing it’s I tell you what all that resonates with me is that I think it was Simon Jordan said it what is enos’s footprint in football people at United are getting all very excited but look at what went on at nce what is their imprint in football it’s chaos they sacked a lot of managers and they weren’t particularly successful this is embarrassing what they did with ten hog was embarrassing but I agree with it give him a chance he’s won the FA Cup but they got rid of him but Dan Ashworth is embarrassing because this to me is a joke in the sense that you brought a guy in that you took out of Newcastle you caused a massive upheaval at Newcastle a massive long protracted court case with Newcastle you get you get him in and then he’s gone in five months and it just looks bad on inos and it looks bad on Dan Ashworth and it also sends us into a January transfer window without a director of football and also into a summer transfer window without a director of football and you know I think that when you’ve changed your manager and you’ve changed the director of football already and you’ve not even been here a year you’re sort of getting a reput ation as volatile you’re sort of getting a reputation as you know Todd bowy FC where it’s just change change change and we’re never going to change if we’re not consistent the flip side to that is I never really was massively into Dan Ashwi anyway um there was just warning signs we’ve discussed before but we’ll talk about that in a moment because this is the news and this is how it reads Manchester United have parted ways with Dan Ashworth he’s left his role at man united after just 5 months Ashworth obviously officially joined in July after a long departure but his departure was agreed in a meeting with Chief Executive Omar barer at Old Trafford after the United’s Premier League game last night which actually fits in with what a lot of people were talking about last night saying that Dan Ashworth left quite quickly without any acknowledging the media and I was just like oh maybe he’s in a bad mood obviously that had an um so Jim Radcliffe has been pivotal to the call toart ways in a move that will Stern uh staff at United given ashworth’s prominence in trying to reshape the club multiple sources speaking anonymously like others in the story uh to protect relationships say United instigator this is all coming in from the New York Times actually in David orstein the club say the final agreement to end Ashworth contract was Mutual however multiple sources say United instigated the separation uh the new Radcliff Le hierarchy overseen by S David rail placed Ash within overall charge but have decided enough is enough so I mean look I sort of find myself like if you’re going to make changes make changes but I look my my take on this is Dan Ashworth always worried me the Brighton project wasn’t really his England was very Southgate Centric and what I’m not overly convinced about branth weight who is definitely somebody that that Ashworth was pushing I my personal take on this in the absence of any information is that Ruben amarim has come in and there was a good relationship between Ashworth and ten hog and that there isn’t a good relationship between amarim and um Ashworth and I said this about three months ago and look there are certain aggregators on social media out there who talk about you know um Walking In Like A Boss United mean business because basically they got their head [ __ ] the inos uh you know structure and the reality is I think the better way to be is to go there are there is no just because just because Eric ten hard gets sacked doesn’t mean that wi Cox Ashworth barard won’t get sacked why why would you sack ten hog the manager and not sack a director of footall or a technical director if they’re not doing the job you want I said this a few months ago I mean we could be in position I mean I got it wrong I I said we could be in a position where next summer after a year they decide that it’s not working with Ashworth or it’s not working with Willcox they don’t know these people ashworth’s come from Newcastle will Castle Willcox has come from Southampton barard has come from Man City favell’s come from Europe like the only people they know are are are brailsford and Blanc they’ve not worked with anybody else so in a way I’m not surprised this morning that ashworth’s gone because there’s no no relationship they haven’t spent Christmas together they just saw a director of football at Newcastle that they liked and obviously it doesn’t it doesn’t work so in a way I’m sort of like I’ll acknowledge it and say I sort of understand that if it’s not working out it’s better to make a change quickly um but it’s bad Recruitment and and and we can’t afford to do this with players it’s the same thing we do with players overpay for a player give him stupid wages in a contract and then they don’t fit because they’ve got the wrong character we can’t afford these mistakes we’re 13th in the league we’ve not been near a title in 10 years we can’t afford to keep making these expensive mistakes and it is an expensive mistake he cost us a lot of money to get him out of Newcastle he cost us a lot of money there’ll be a lot of money um in his contract to leave man united as well um it’s embarrassing but on the other hand if it’s not working out I suppose you you move them on um but look to me that it can’t be a can’t be a coincidence that amarim comes in and Ashworth goes out after a few weeks and I wonder if there is a few conversations that have taken place between amarim and Ashworth where it’s just not worked out and I would I would predict things like um may look for example I think we Ashworth saying I think we should buy branth weight and amarim saying I don’t want branth weight I want an AO from the here or whatever and I think On th on those terms that you can understand that you’ve got to back your manager I mean I hope we’re going to do it with some [ __ ] players as well but this is shocking news on a Sunday morning to wake up and see your director football’s been sacked when he’s only been here for five months I mean it took us longer to get him out of Newcastle than it did that he was in a job we it was it was the end of January when we were getting Ashworth he didn’t start till July so he spent more time on gardening leave than he did at man united which is just um which is just incred where we go from here um look many people are talking about Ralph ranik I would [ __ ] love Ralph ranik back as director of football doing the job he should have done at Manchester United I would love that um but it’s I I agree with Brett I bet this is O over incoming transfers and that to me is a good thing I look going back to Dan Ashworth I was never really on board with it I I’ll back a signing I will back a recruitment because you you’ve got to give them a chance but I did drop the hints in there I said I don’t like the Southgate relationship Newcastle is it that good his recruitment a lot of their good signings came in before and there was just something about Ashworth that didn’t come across as authoritative but you give him a chance and I’m surprised he’s gone so quickly I am shocked where we go next they’ve got to bloody get it right look you can get it wrong you can get it wrong once you can get it wrong on Ash withth but you’ve got to get it right on the next one you can get it wrong on ten hog but we’ve got to get it right with am um and maybe maybe Wilcox needs to go maybe maybe barard will go none of these jobs are safe and that’s absolutely fine um and you’re going to make misses but um it’s got to be something massive and ultimately irreversible if you’re going to do that so quickly and um there’s obviously just completely utterly different mentalities going on there between what enos’s vision is and what ashworth’s Vision was um and and look some people in the chat if you’re just tuning in lately Dan late Dan Ashworth is gone I know we’re live a little bit before 10 o’clock but this is breaking news this morning Dan Ashworth is gone I want to go through some of your comments the director of football is gone um it’s official he leaves Manchester United having joined in July having been on gardening leave longer than he was actually here he is gone um United have pushed for this they say it’s mutual but at the end of the day if you get called into a meeting and they say it’s not working out you’re not going to go please let me stay he’s gone um inos don’t know what they’re doing says Jeff I mean that has to be a concern but I suppose you’ve also got to balance it fairly and say they’ve made a mistake they have made a massive embarrassing mistake and they will be ridiculed for it absolutely what they’ve got to do is turn that mistake into a success they made a mistake with ten hog I’m I was on board with with that mistake I can’t be a hypocrite I think ten hog should have got a chance after the FA Cup Final it didn’t work out but then again you look at ten hog and you go well it didn’t work out with ten hog but I was even thinking last night should we have waited till the end of the season with ten hog uh we still could have gone for amim and amm’s taken four points from 12 so it’s not like amm’s come in and everything’s great obviously there was big problems at the club that ten hog was dealing with that am’s still dealing with and there is no quick fix so you know as much as ten hog needed to be sacked it’s not like it it ten hog wasn’t the problem like he was a problem but he wasn’t the problem we’re in a big problem we’ve just been beaten 3-2 at home to Nottingham Forest is Dan Ashworth the Fall Guy for that I mean is I mean the thing that caught me this morning have United lost to Forest and decided to sack Dan Ashworth I mean this is very different to the glazers normally you’d lose a game like that and the glazers would put a story out that we signing venicius junr or someone like that that’s the normal thing man united lose to Forest and we sacked the director of football was that going to happen if we’d won that that was the thing before I went live that I was thinking about if we’d won would Dan ashwith not have been sacked and has he been sacked because that’s the final straw but he’s got nothing to do with that I I don’t I don’t see the correlation between losing to Forest and Dan Ash with the director football being sacked unless someone can explain that to me because the director football well let’s just go through his business mazra success delit going to be a success agarte going to be a success y yoro looks like he’s going to be a success four out of five ain’t bad and you know who knows what’s going to happen with xery so I don’t think you can sack Dan Ashworth for losing to Forest and I don’t think his signings have been bad the sales were good Waka and momy brought much funded needed funds in I mean they they might be looking at him and going [ __ ] casemiro 350 Grand a week can’t even get a minute and you didn’t get rid of him they might be looking at stuff like that but I can’t see Shane says theit’s not good I mean you need to watch more football Shane um we can’t educate everybody but the point I’m trying to make is that I don’t see how losing to Forest um Forest reflects on Dan Dan Ashworth if you know what I mean um let’s go some of through some of your comments mark would you go to I mean I don’t know where we’re going to go next I mean this is going to be I mean the trouble with United is it never ends does it and and I want to say this as well it never ends like we bring a new manager in the players are [ __ ] we’re losing games four points from 12 Man City next week we then sack our director of football you know the new manager is not even settled and we’re sacking the director of football so now we’ve got to get a director of football in got the January transfer window coming up you’ve got the summer transfer window coming up I mean to be honest with you the January transfer window let’s see what happens but for the summer transfer window you’ve got not long to to get somebody in and do that I mean maybe some people are saying in the chat maybe favel will step up and be the director of football I don’t know he’s it could be him um but I don’t know I I I don’t know where we go next um Mitch says it doesn’t make sense there might be another side to this story I don’t know but um yeah it’s a weird one and uh I don’t know that there’s going to be a director football out there in a job that we can go and get that’s not it’s going to cost you money um so I I would say it might be an internal thing um Darren Fletcher yeah it could be uh maybe you wanted to get go go to another club says Lewis uh I think this has been driven by inos mate I don’t think it’s been driven by Dan Ashworth uh Dan is too British Centric Omar isn’t I saw this coming a mile away says plug scope and I agree with that I mean I I I don’t I understand that we might have to buy homegrown because we’re short on home grown players but obviously we are going to get better value SL better players outside of Britain uh I don’t know if it’s been said but we have a January transfer window in 24 days am first window is screwed if this isn’t sorted says rul Ashworth is sporting director role at Arsenal says Wayne I don’t think so uh mark would you go to City and take the director football that’s already worked with amim like United did with barard James I think he’s only just started said You’ struggled to do that uh what do you think uh what do you think they blame Ashworth for what decisions did he oversee or was responsible for also since the decision was at Old Trafford last night any players uh says big Zed um mad says someone call Guitar please what started with so much promise is now becoming a heap of uh swword [ __ ] says mad I would say that they’re probably not happy with uh Dan ashworth’s support for ten hog a lot of people using this as an opportunity to go in on delit mate have your own opinion you’re not going to change mine I think theit’s been a very good signing and will be a very good signing um I I thought he played well yesterday I think he’s played well for the last few games so I don’t really understand why we’re talking about delit maybe Dan leaks the mazra rainbow jacket news uh says you love United hop hate I hate the Ops I I love the conspiracy um look I think in business putting a business head on it you would not be happy with you’d hold the 30 million pounds to sack ten hog and recruit amarim against the director of football you would hold that against him and Dan Ashworth was a very I know this for a fact Dan Ashworth was a very big supporter of Eric ten hog they got on very well um I can’t be a hypocrite on this because I think we should have kept ten hog I actually think that by keeping ten hog it’s led us to Amor him if we’d got rid of ten hog after the FA Cup Final we would not have got H him we would have got Thomas tul or you know someone like that so I actually think that keeping ten hog was the right thing to do we’d won the FA Cup we backed him in the summer there was no improvement you make the change I think that was the right thing to do and then we’ve ended up with Amin which I think is the best we could have hoped for so I’m I don’t have a problem with that sometimes you’ve got to make mistakes to make improvements but I think from a business point of view and so Jim radliff is a businessman I think that financially he won’t be happy that that cost them that that that mistake was you know tens of millions of pounds so that may well be just what it’s all about I don’t know and then maybe there’s not a great relationship with Ashworth and amarim so so Jim goes right well he got it wrong about ten hog and um he doesn’t get on with am so he can go maybe that’s what it is what are the odds of get as of as getting someone better than Dan Ashworth says Milton I I don’t think they’re very big I I think we’ll go internal I think we’ll do an internal thing which I don’t like but I think we’ll go internal sporting director of football incoming says Curtis and inos needs to show the same ruthlessness when it comes to the players as well then I will say inos can get us back to where we want to be says sarath uh what’s going on we’re pathetic says Steve Brown Ashworth not up to the project check his record says Yuri uh how are the so uh man united fan for life says hi Mark how are you these players are the same old gof we need Amon players and wish this club could just get their heads sorted uh ranik in marks says Angel bomb it’s a shame inos aren’t that quick to sack players when it’s not working out cough cough shorta rashford Anthony and the rest well I do want to see that happening uh Obie it’s not as easy of course but I hope they do show some ruthlessness with players because we’ve seen over 200 members of Staff sacks in the last few months we’ve seen ticket prices going up for matcho fans in the last few weeks we’ve seen danash with sacked after five months and yet I still see the same morons running around in a man united shirt earning big wages who’ve been here for [ __ ] ages so you know and we and we’re 13th in the league and we’ve just lost another game of football so when are we going to start sacking the people that need to get sacked because I’ll be there to celebrate that I I will celebrate that um Ashworth um CAD said you said it would happen um I do I remember saying it um and I don’t take any joy in it but I do remember saying it a few times in the summer that that nobody’s job should be safe and and that although we’re bringing in all these people there’s no past relationships so what I remember saying it specifically like this I said you’re bringing in a new technical director a new CEO a new owner a new um uh director of football they’ve never worked with each other before what are the chances that they all come together and get on really well like slim really Slim they’ve never worked together they’re all going to have different ideas and I think clearly that’s probably what’s happened ashless spent more time train trimming the hedges then on the job says rter how is this ruthless when his signings have been good says D1 maybe this is for the better says Thomas uh we want ruthless aggression and then we moan about it keeping ten hog was clearly a wrong decision and now am is struggling to pick up the pieces I was ten hog in been in hindsight it set as back says Nick Warren but Nick maybe you need to open your mind up because it’s a fair point you’re making but if we’d sacked ten hog we wouldn’t have amarim so would you rather we sacked ten hog in the summer and ended up with tul or would you rather we ten hog made sure he was it wasn’t the right thing to do and ended up with amim every day of the week I’d rather be in this situation I’d rather be with amarim than tuul or or Southgate or Frank or whoever it was so I don’t have a problem with where We’ve Ended up I don’t mind making mistakes if you end up in a better position and I think we’re I think we have the best coach possible that’s ever been available in the last 12 months so I I don’t have a problem with that uh Aiden says maybe it’s the ruthlessness we need um hen’s report says this is ruthlessness this shows whoever is not working out will be gone also if we have too many cooks in the kitchen then this was predictable inos did a lot of talking when they first came in and we’re no better off now than we were before empty promises just look at nce the signs were there says Max thank you very much for your says Mr purri and this ownership isn’t looking promising after all says Dale I mean look if you listen to what sjim Radcliffe said yesterday about the price hike he said that something along the lines of why should we have tickets cheaper than Fulham sometimes you’ve got to make unpopular decisions so that’s the answer to the match going fan who’s got the price going up uh why should we have cheaper tickets than Fulham and um you know we’ve got to make difficult decisions um and I I look at that and I sort of go we should have cheaper tickets from Fulham that they can only get 10,000 in we can get 75,000 in we’ve got a bigger Stadium wh why why can we not have concessions for our fans like that doesn’t make any sense what you’re basically saying is let’s charge the same as Fulham to 75,000 fans and make a load of more money and you know unpopular decisions well it’s unpopular because you waste [ __ ] money you know you’re charging fans Ma going fans more money to go and watch man united because it’s a way to make money and then you’re you’re pissing money out the club like Dan ashworth’s going to walk away with about 15 million ten AR walks away with 15 million you know you you you’re throwing tens of millions of pounds on your mistakes and then making fans pay it because that’s what Fulham pay that’s that’s a that’s a crap way of looking at it you can’t say ticket prices are justifiable because Fulham pay more than we do when you’re you’re doing it because you’re wasting money that’s the truth of the matter it’s not a difficult decision you need to make money because you keep making big expensive mistakes so the people pay for it are the fans that’s what’s happening or ordinary working people with their jobs and and on top of that you keep inflicting [ __ ] on us game after game who’ve been at this club for years earning [ __ ] ridiculous money with very little care and will pay for it start [ __ ] off some of these players and people might start to understand your you know integrity and ability to redeem this football club but I’m I’m sort of like I’m in the waiting room on this because there are so many things you can work with this maybe Dan Ashworth wanted Southgate maybe he loves rashford maybe rash may maybe maybe Ashworth wanted to clear out rash and everybody maybe inos didn’t want to do that we don’t know the reason why ashworth’s gone and we won’t know because it’ll all be under non-disclosure but what we do know is how inos are going to react to this now if inos react to this by open heart surgery and a new director of football then obviously Ashworth wasn’t up to the job if inos react to this with no open heart surgery and we keep utilizing the same [ __ ] players that have had multiple chances then we know that Ashworth probably wanted total change so that’s the way I look at it um we’re in big trouble at the moment we’re awful on and off the pitch says dan Davy and you’re absolutely correct um and that needs to change um you know absolutely needs to change um and I sort of wonder how that is going to change if I’m being completely honest um but I’m shocked by this I I wasn’t expecting this and the one thing I always say to you in this community is is whether when it’s Manchester United always expect something there’s no such thing as a quiet day but look under inos probably expects things more we’re waking up on a Sunday morning the director of football’s basically been sacked after five months Christmas Eve at four o’clock last year inos get announced on Christmas Eve um we’re just in this world of of of of shock at the moment and the results on the pitch are shocking as well it’s it’s shock but it’s not Shock and a and I don’t mind shock and a because shock Andor is like wow that’s amazing this is like what the [ __ ] you know because I I can’t read it um and as I said at the start of the show a lot of people in the industry said about inos why are people getting excited about people that actually have no footprint in football and actually have been quite chaotic at nce and you always need to keep that in your head but on the other hand you’re sort of like well I I I like what happened with ten hog and amarim because it led to amarim and it gave tenh har a chance I like a lot of the summer transfers I do think there’s a lot of potential there I like that amm’s start has been bad because it’s the reality of what’s been going on for 10 years that’s not been papered over we’ve not gone over to the [ __ ] and poured perfume all over it to make it smell nice and then that wears off in it [ __ ] again I actually haven’t got a problem massively with what’s going on on the pitch at the moment as long as amim sees what we see and removes what needs to be removed and replaces what needs to come in the reality on the pitch needs to happen but what you also are looking at now is have we got the ownership to deal with that reality we know we need open heart surgery we know we need to remove some of these players I mean look let’s have an honest conversation people have spoken about rashford for a week what about Mason Mount yesterday I mean he’s back from injury now looked promising comes off the bench yesterday absolutely bang average 250k a week massive contract injury concerns comes on for Bruno in Bruno’s position does nothing like that’s a 55 million pound signing on 250 K weag who is now fit doing nothing against Nottingham Forest at home you’ve got obviously the rashford issue we’ve spoken about xery came on didn’t do a hell of a a lot either you know you’ve got people going is gono good enough some people want to go in on Rasmus Bruno is obviously a topic of conversation there are so many problems on that pitch at the moment and we need to have these questions answered and the only way they get answered is in two ways they either become good enough or they’re not good enough now if they’re not good enough what do we do with them because that becomes an inos problem any of those players I’ve mentioned there they’re not all going to become Kevin Bru or Mo Salah are they so some of them need to go all of them are on big contracts how are you going to do your job there this is the most important thing at Manchester United and the director of football is intrinsically linked into it we’ve been talking about this for 10 years we have to clear the Deadwood and the Deadwood is not Harry MaGuire who’s out of contract in the summer and the Deadwood is not Anthony martial who was out of the contract Last Summer the Deadwood is to remove the players who are on big contracts and big wages who are difficult to get rid of Luke Shaw Marcus rashford Mason Mount um Anthony casemiro maybe a Bruno Fernandez maybe a gono you know I’m not saying get rid of all those players I’m just I’m listing off players that aren’t out a contract in the summer and are on Long contracts who may or may not be good enough for Man United you’ve got to get rid of those players this is on inos so I look at amim he has my full support because the job is difficult and his job his his job just got difficult this morning you’ve just removed his director of football so you’ve just made am’s job even more hard we know the players we know the problems with the players we know we’ve got a new manager in and we know we’ve got to back him you know what all they’ve done by sacking Ashworth is put eyes dead center on inos they now have to deliver and the number one thing I think and maybe some of you think they need to start getting rid of these players that are Jokers you you can be ruthless with ticket prices you can be ruthless sacking ordinary people who’ve been working at the club for years and you can be ruthless sacking a director of football but when are you going to remove the Deadwood because we’re not going to stop seeing results like yesterday if you keep polishing the turds we need to see removal of players who are on longer contracts who aren’t good enough for this football club they need freezing out um I still believe am told Jim Dan’s targets a [ __ ] and Dan zigo wouldn’t back down says Martin Saunders um and if that’s the case then that’s the case but we need to find out now I’m going to take as I say I’m going to sit in the waiting room on this people can go one way or the other you can say it’s embarrassing and inos are going to be a load of [ __ ] or you can say inos are ruthless I’m going to sit here and do what I did in the summer when we got Dan Ashworth in the summer and barer in the summer and Wilcox in the summer there was certain people out there saying inos mean business and I was like do they though these people have never worked together before one of them could get sacked in the next six months I didn’t say six I said 12 one of them could get sacked in the next year because they don’t work well together well one of them’s been sacked so I’m just going to I’m just going to see what happens here because there is a chance that Dan Ashworth wanted open heart surgery and inos didn’t there is also a chance that Dan Ashworth want wanted to buy [ __ ] players and inos didn’t so let’s find out the truth because if we go and make a load of good signings in the summer doesn’t reflect well on Ashworth does it if we don’t go and make hardly any signings in this sun it doesn’t reflect bad well on inos um rash R says if the club spent all this effort to get Ashworth just to get rid of him what’s that to say they would do the same to Amor him if things don’t go well and this is a good point by rash it doesn’t always make them um I’m joking they it is a good point if you can spend six months getting a getting somebody out of Newcastle and then sacking them after take that’s a take Stuart virtual handshake that could be a take um we talk about ten hog I think keeping ten hog was the right thing because it led to amim the Bruno contract those sort of decisions might be something that you want to look at because that was an increase in wages for a player that wasn’t playing well and you sort of look at it and go why did we do that because it’s very obvious that Bruno Fernandez and his agent played United he already had 250 Grand a week he already had three years left on his contract and we extended it and increased his wage why why we sort of we did get mugged off there I don’t blame Bruno for it but he did sort of get us over a barrel um glazers don’t want to approve big losses they never have maybe that’s why he’s leaving says Tom starting to feel would irritate s Jim Radley when he’s not Hands-On dayto day it would be money it can only be money you can’t blame the director of football for results because the director of football’s signings haven’t had a direct impact on results so it would be money it would it would be financial reasons that Dan Ashworth has been in trouble I would imagine s Jim radliff is not happy about the financial decisions that have been made and how costly they’ve been um I think it is a bit a bit of a Telltale when s Jim is pivotal in the decision because s Jim is like it’s like the CEO of Sky Sports sacking Gary Neville like the CEO of of Sky Sports wouldn’t be working with Gary Neville on Monday Night Football he wouldn’t know what he’s like he’d just be like looking down going don’t like the way he talks you know it’s it’s it’s not Hands-On so what would it be about s Jim that doesn’t like Dan Ashworth looking down I think it would have to be financial decisions maybe um we’ve got lots of people Ashworth was inos putting their balls on the table and going we’re taking newcastle’s director of football because we can we are screwing Newcastle because we can inos did that in fact it was the first thing inos did the first major move they made well they took barard from Man City and then they went for Ashworth but Ashworth was very much we’re taking him from Newcastle no you’re not public battle we get him and then we sack him so there can’t be any with ten hog you can go well he wasn’t their guy but with with with Ashworth he’s their guy and you fought and spent a lot of money to get that guy so we’re left here going I respect the ruthlessness if it’s not working out but who did the homework who wanted Ashworth that’s what I would be saying because they have got to be on thin ice whoever wanted Ashworth has to be on thin ice because this is embarrassing and this is what I mean about the manager with ten hog I said we’re bringing all these people in they’re not safe they’ve got to be scrutinized the same and if they don’t perform they could go so ashworth’s gone because he”s done things wrong but who brought Ashworth in because they’ve now got to be scrutinized because they’ve clearly got it wrong whoever championed Ashworth has clearly got it wrong maybe it was brailsford I think brailford had a close relationship with Ashworth maybe brailsford needs to go his strategic review wasn’t very good he had a strategic review from January to the end of the summer and we sacked we’ve sacked the manager and the director of football by Christmas so maybe brailsford isn’t any good at football maybe his fine margins you know that worked well with cycling doesn’t work with football which wouldn’t be a massive surprise so I’d now be looking at who’s going next because Ashworth didn’t walk into Manchester from Newcastle with you know like dick wittington um with his you know rope on a stick hand chief on a stick um I I I think you’ve got to look at who Champion Ashworth because clearly there’s been a personality clash in there and we can’t afford these mistakes and if I was to Jim radliff I’d be going if we’re making these mistakes on directs of football we cannot afford to do it on a player because a player costs a lot more and that’s where I’d be looking um but I am shocked I am shocked um I’d really like to see ranin United again is liking trash uh bisin is coming in it’s pre-planned says MAA and Mark you might have missed my other Super Chat says huad Ashworth had fallen out with Eddie how and might have fallen out with amm and inos want him to be happy yeah that and that that could be it and if it is that simple then you’ve got to make the change but it’s still um an expensive mistake of course and it’s still a mistake that we’re going going to feel the ructions of for quite a while as we try to um move on but I suppose that look we we’ve spoken about it a lot I suppose the next thing to say is what happens next um and I sort of look at it and go well you know what happens next is Manchester United need to make a statement um quickly uh if that statement is going to be we are recruiting another director of football then the next director of football needs to be bloody good I personally think they’ll go internally I think they’ll go internally but they need somebody that’s in tune with amarim I don’t mind this if you’re going to go through the club with a wrecking ball and rebuild it then you may as well wreck it all there is no point in knocking a house down completely because you want to redo it but leaving the original kitchen and then you rebuild the house and the kitchen doesn’t fit the house if you’re going to go through it with a wrecking ball knock it all down have a proper reset and if they’ve made a mistake with Ashworth and he doesn’t work with amm get rid of him I look at the results four points from 12 we are starting from the [ __ ] ground we are starting from the ground and I’m willing to do that and if that means we’ve got to get rid of another director of football or or a technical director or whatever go and do it and do it now quickly but also do it with the players for God’s sake there are people losing their jobs and the people that need to lose their jobs have needed to lose their jobs here for years and they’re still here I think this is the irritant in the fan base at the moment oh look look at the structure look at this look at that but the most important thing is I can watch that Forest game again last night and I’m seeing what was the thumbnail for the fan forum don’t shoot we’re literally getting pissed off with people shooting from 30 yards again misplacing 5 yard passes and we’ve seen them do it last season under the last manager we need to start removing players now the ruthlessness is clearly there that is without a question um we now need to see ruthlessness from the playing Squad because nobody’s going to have any sympathy for that and it needs to happen and if it doesn’t happen I don’t think inos is serious um uh fabito Romano said that danash with left his role at Manchester United after five months it’s over with the sporting director tense situation with Jim not happy at all with this last summer strategy I I see this is what worries me and I don’t care if I’m one voice singing in the darkness or we’re all singing together I have got no problem with the summer strategy at all Lenny yoro very good sign in very impressive xery let’s wait and see but that’s because we couldn’t get cesco delit mazra brilliant really happy with those signings agarte really happy so I like that I like that we didn’t get a left back the Bruno contract was a little bit dodgy even keeping ten hog not that bothered because it led us to Amor him and we still need a reset so I don’t have a massive problem with the summer transfer strategy I really don’t we’ve certainly had a lot worse I thought last summer was probably one of the best Summers we’ve had in the last decade so um maybe it’s wages maybe I don’t know M maybe maybe maybe s Jim wasn’t happy that we didn’t get rid of players like casmiro um look we’re not going to know the truth for a while but I I don’t know I’m not unhappy with that summer transfer window um and I’m not going to be a hypocrite and say that I that I am I I still think that there’s elements of that transfer window that’s good um but let’s see what we’re going to do next I we need we need an we need open heart surgery we already had a director football and then failed him his name was
