hey Dodger Nation welcome to the channel where you’ll get all the latest updates about the Los Angeles Dodgers today we have some important news the St Louis Cardinals should be open to all possibilities at this point in the season star third baseman Nolan arono has emerged as a prominent trade candidate in baseball over the past few weeks but the organization has yet to finalize a deal it’s uncertain when they will do so point one team frequently mentioned as a potential destination for aono is the Los Angeles Dodgers although it would be somewhat unexpected for the Dodgers to acquire Aon due to his contract they appear to have virtually unlimited funds as the trade market heats up newsweek’s Zack prestel has proposed an intriguing mock trade that would send arono to Los Angeles in exchange for 25-year-old pitcher Bobby Miller here’s a trade idea that would send arono to Los Angeles to join manager Dave Roberts star studded lineup the Los Angeles Dodgers received third baseman Nolan arono and $25 million while the St Louis Cardinals receive right-handed pitcher Bobby Miller prel suggested this is a fairly straightforward deal the Dodgers would be bringing in a multi-time platinum Glove winner to upgrade a position in need arono would be happy with the arrangement joining the Dodgers as a five six or seven hole hitter in their lineup meanwhile St Louis would send $25 million to cover about half of Aron’s contract in return the Cardinals would acquire promising pitching Prospect Bobby Miller this trade proposal makes sense the Cardinals are in need of pitching and parting ways with arono while offloading his contract would be an effective strategy to address that need Miller at just 25 years old posted a 3.76 ER as a rookie over 22 starts in 2023 if the Cardinals could secure him they should definitely consider making the deal
