Luke croman Hawk to the transfer portal intends to hit the transfer portal for Luke croman Haw you know we speculated Tom that this kind of thing could very well happen uh if you continue to go out and bring quarterbacks in uh it makes for an unsettling room an unsettled room whatever it might be it also might just be a very modern set of circumstances it also might very well be just that forestate went two and 10 and when you go two and 10 uh I got to imagine there’s quite a bit of upheaval there’s quite a bit of frustration there’s quite a bit of uncertainty about the future of a program uh now we’re watching it play out in real time in which you’re bringing in new coaches and new offenses and obviously that affects the kid’s decision to Stay or Leave do I like this offense that you’re bringing in is it something I want to run do I think it’s best suited for me in my future if I have designs on being an NFL player I’m just floating out a lot of ideas as to what could lead a player to decide to put his name in the portal so it’s not allog together surprising at all that Luke croman Haw or any other quarterback on this roster would put his name in the portal given the upheaval of this season and the changes now that we see coming um you could be looking for a stabilizing Force I wish uh Luke croman Haw all the best wherever it is he goes I thought the kid along with Brock Glenn was put in some pretty untenable situations at the same time if you want to take the other view of it Florida State can’t afford to be worried about all this Florida State cannot be worried about whether or not they lose players during the midst of change when change happens it hits people a certain way everybody reacts differently but you can’t be surprised when somebody decides that they want to move on and not be part of whatever that change is that you’re undertaking and Florida State’s got to get it right they got to have a kid that can play right away they may have their eyes on two separate quarterbacks we don’t know it could very well be Tom that they bring in and I’m speculating now say they bring in in this hypothetical a castalanos and then turn around and bring in another kid that’s of the same ilk so that they’re staggered and prepared to run this offense that Gus milon’s bringing to the table over the next two to three years that might be something that the guys on the rosters are not are not willing to accept yeah that’s the follow-up question for me here is you know do you bring in two does he like Kevin Sperry the sin I mean Florida state had a commitment from Kevin sper then they hire Gus Malon do they follow through with that and and Gus is feeling uh or or does he feel like no I like that kid that’s the one I want to build around he’s got the tools that are perfect for the offense that I want to run I’m not sure how much that Brock Glennon Luke croman Hawk fit in this equation Brock Glenn is another question we assume that you know if somebody was going to transfer it would be Brock well Luke at least has beaten Brock Glenn to the punch here it’s not that Luke It’s not that Brock Glenn doesn’t have Mobility skills that maybe he could learn and integrate uh with with Gus malan’s offense but it’s just it’s disappointing to me um I get it when you’re talking about a shift in philosophy to some degree of what Florida state is going to do offensively this is going to be a more of a run-heavy offense than it was but the tenants are very similar so it’s not like you’re going from Mike norvell’s offense to the air raid run by uh Mike Leech disciple or um the guy from Kentucky that actually founded it that His Name Escapes Me mmy H mummy thank you very much you’re not going to a Hal mummy offense from Mike norvell’s offense so you know uh Luke had a lot of interest on the trail before he left uh before he decided uh to sign with Florida State I know Georgia made an 11th Hour run for his Services I wonder what kind of Interest he’ll drum up but LC is still a project and that’s why I was hoping that he would want to develop further with Florida State because he does have tools to run the football maybe that’s not how he used himself I’m sure that you know if you’re looking at running versus passing passing gets you paid at the next level at the professional level so maybe that’s part of the reasoning but it just kind of stinks he had potential and I think it could have worked here but he certainly needed more time to develop than than this upcoming season he was not going to start for Florida State in 2025 yeah no when I look at it I I’m just saddened by the unfortunate set of circumstances that kind of led to the situation that Florida State’s in now with some players in inevitably you’re going to lose some players that you liked inevitably some guys are going to leave that you thought had real potential to be good for you moving forward but I certainly don’t resent most of those players if not all of those players there’s occasionally a kid who wasn’t a kid that wanted to do right or whatever that I’ll be like good riddens to but for the most part I kind of just get it Luke croman Haw is a good kid who’s done everything right he’s worked real hard and I know from um conversations with people close to him I’ll just put it that way that um he was committed I mean even in the midst of all of this disaster that we saw all around him this year he was still pretty unwavering that he did not regret his decision to go to Florida state was excited to be here you know people close to him said no no he’s a trooper he’ll hang in there but you know I don’t know things got so bad over the course of the year that you just had to wonder how many guys would really stick around and uh when you’re part of a season like that sometimes you just want a fresh start I mean I I I don’t have a problem with that two and 10 Tom yeah you know I I could just see where a kid be like yeah you know let me let me just start over here but there’s the the whole element that you just alluded to which maybe he hates the system maybe he looked at Gus mazon’s offense was like no I ain’t running that if that’s the case I get it I get it baby yeah and and remember this he’s very toolsy the reason that he was such a highly ranked player wasn’t because of all the great numbers he put up in high school he didn’t he wasn’t a quarterback long enough to put up these incredible careers in high school where you’d be like man you know he threw for 4,000 yards a sophomore a year by the time he was a junior everybody knew he was gonna be a Five Star by the time he was a senior every team in the country wanted him that wasn’t his high school career he was an athlete he was a safety he was a lot of things so he needed to play more football to really acrw all that other stuff that we talk about as a passer and you know I I just I wonder how many of the teams that were on him late Tom how many of the programs that liked him because of the tools that he had not the experience Came Calling back at the end of this year saying hey remember us remember us we wanted you win then too yeah no this that’s why it’s certain moments when you know his internal clock wasn’t too slow and you got to see the Slinger in him you know break the pocket and throw a frozen rope to jakai Douglas for a long completion you go well that’s why he is rated as he is the first throw he made that was Dropped In The End Zone against Duke you say course that’s why he is the player that he you know in terms of the the high recruiting rankings this is why the Bulldogs were interested in making a run at him at at that last moment it’s going to be fascinating to see how Florida State fills out the quarterback room we all know that the leader in the clubhouse at the moment is castalanos he’s visiting campus tomorrow you know whose stock just went up a little little bit is Trevor Jackson unless he decides to leave because he doesn’t like the way that the offense is constructed there’s a guy who was who came in as a preferred walk- on but he was a blue chip former old misc commit and he does have the tools to move and throw on the run so could it be that he and Kevin Sperry get a larger look when it comes to spring camp Sperry’s Game and his film quote unquote his highlight reel from huddle was a hell of a lot more polished because he is a polished product he’s maximizing close to maximizing what his capabilities are as a three star player he’s a little bit shorter but he can make all the throws on the run and he’s got a decent repertoire of throws croman Hawk was more of a project and we saw that in practices it’s just that the the unfortunate timing of it all here also is that you have to salute the kid out the door to a degree because he didn’t stop at four games played in his true fresh maner and say hey you got all kinds of problems I don’t want to be a part of this he was asked by the media as he was approaching that number he said I I don’t care about four or five or a red shirt if we need me to play then I’m going to play and I thought hopefully maybe that attitude would carry over but this is a moment where you can’t judge a kid for looking at two and 10 a new offensive coordinator and saying I’m not so sure this is the fit for me I just wish I wish him well yeah yeah I wish him well I think he’s the beginning of um the some of the names of players that you don’t want to see leave you know a for those that are watching this as a takeway away a standalone video uh away from say the Jeff Cameron show uh I just did a segment on the Jeff Cameron show where I listed every player that’s left and talked a little bit about their career Arc and what happened and what have you and I I wasn’t taking shots at kids I was just pointing out why things didn’t or did or didn’t work but as I went through that list Tom it was you know occurred to me that most Florida State fans and again this is not a personal shot at any one of these kids but most Florida State fans look at the list of out going players up to this point since the portal became open Sunday night at midnight into Monday and didn’t care about Nar or one of them I mean let’s be honest with you e every departure on that list derell Powers Brian Courtney Lamar green Julian armela Dustin Hill bothered us a little bit because of the investment Darion Williamson Omar Graham Duke Cooper Dura Jay Turner West Anderson spawn byus to the NFL Zer Thomas to the NFL darl Jackson the league Josh farmer now guys who go to the league is a little bit different than entering the portal certainly but of the portal names that I went to from powers to spawn to span um nobody nobody cared nobody’s you’re like okay this is the first one where you go oh kind of didn’t want to lose Luke croman Haw would have liked to have seen what Luke croman Haw could be uh here because I think you’re right Luke cromok could have run Gus maon system maybe he doesn’t want to and I get that too yeah maybe he doesn’t want to it’s not what I signed up to come to Florida State to do and that’s a it’s a fair rort and now you know most eyes were expecting to see what Brock Glenn was going to do when he was going to potentially announce and now all eyes are on Brock Glenn to see if he’s going to follow through and do that before spring camp or if he wants to take it into spring camp because that’s another thing where you wouldn’t blame a kid to say all right new OC I had my first meeting with him and to me this Rees of a meeting with Gus M on and maybe you know just it didn’t click or what what ever Luke’s Camp heard they said maybe they are greener pastures if you’re intrigued and you’re Brock Glenn and you say well I I mean it’s not like I’m going to be getting six figures to go into the portal this very second so why not take it on down for a spring camp work with uh this offense see if I fit into it maybe I like it maybe I understand the nuances and the timing maybe he speaks my language or just Brock say now the heck with that you know Luke’s got a good idea which is let’s just go start A New Path start a new course as they bring in a castalanos and maybe another kid to work with Trevor Jackson and Sperry yeah I’m going to guess that Brock Glenn will probably be gone I I would think but I could be wrong about this I would just say I’m fascinated to see which quarterbacks he’s going after what other names again I want to reiterate that I was told prior to uh some of the names we’ve seen listed now and gotten confirmation on their visitations Tom that Florida state was willing to talk to upwards of seven to 12 quarterbacks uh and it stands to reason you got to see what’s out there I mean you can’t just decide all my eggs are in this one basket here’s where I’m going to go you got a whole new offense a new offensive line coach you can have a new receivers coach you’re gonna have a lot of new uh across the board and if You’ got guys that help that you know that really can run the system that Gus miles on runs as in plural I’m talking to all of them I’m getting a sense because I gotta know that these guys are G to come in and hit the ground running uh in most cases now in the case of sper maybe not but everybody else I got to know can you hit the ground running I got to play you right now or have a chance to play you if anything happens to the guy I do bring in do I have somebody who is of that ilk that can run the system that I want to run and run it now because we can’t lose nine T games five six games next year you got you gotta have a season the one follow-up question I have that is outside of the quarterback room it’ll be interesting to monitor here as on three provides updates warchant.com the premium recruiting board also Tribal Council has the exit list so that’s where this probably would actually be accounted for you know Luke was the head honcho for the 2024 recruiting class is anybody else in that class that we like you know are they very bonded with Luke doesn’t mean that they’re a package deal to go together to a destination do they just say to themselves man you know part of the reason I came here was because I really wanted to work with Luke if I’m an offensive player or I really liked Luke as a defensive player and we bonded as as we came here together on a mission maybe he’s got the right idea does it get contagious in that way for freshman to say and and that might be becoming registerred freshman or sophomores to say maybe he’s got a point that’s something I think that’s definitely worth watching over the next 24 hours to see if if Luke starts a domino effect for a lot of the kids that he was in group text messages with for a long long time to say we’re going to make it you know we’re going to be the next wave at Florida State always the fear when the season was unraveling the way that it was that this moment in time would come where you lost guys that you like today marks the first in my opinion uh of what could be a few that you lose that you really liked that you thought had real potential and that you thought could go on to become uh something special at Florida State we’ll continue to monitor to see if any more names hit the portal as big as Luke choman Hawk’s name I would suspect you’re GNA hear some pretty bigname schools going after Luke Roman Haw uh and that will probably come out real soon if you follow that TR uh path uh so little combo here as we talk about Luke croman Hawk entering the transfer portal and we come back and if you want more videos I think there’s going to be opportunities for a lot more videos on warchant.com warchant TV and the Jeff Cameron show
