oh man talk to me Boulder it has been a 24 hours of not liking and it’s actually less than that roughly 12 to 14 hours as a lot of things have changed for the Buffs very recently with attacks on the coaching staff as teams are beginning to poach the sec’s coming back with a vengeance and it looks like they’ve come after a couple of coaches we’re going to talk about that we also got to break down the game I’ve been waiting to do it I’ve heard some news was coming down and boom here we are so let’s dive into that here on the prime time for college football this video is powered by our partners the Buffs we got to talk about these coaching changes as now coach Prime’s got a couple of people he’s going to have to replace and this is probably just the start with having a successful 9 and4 season moving up from coming in at team was 111 going 4-8 now 9 and4 you’re going to start seeing teams take a gander at the staff and see if they can go after them and unfortunately for Prime these weren’t situations that were because of him that he was going to lose people these were full-fledged relationships that run a lot deeper in some capacities that I have to point out and give you the details on why I think these coaches have left so let’s start off with the first one offensive line coach Phil loal is Headed to Mississippi State he will be joining uh Coach Jeff Levy staff over there with the Bulldogs after spinning this last season with Colorado and now the one thing we cannot do is Overlook the strides this team saw this season from last season on the offensive line Lo H Hal had two true freshman with Jordan seeden as well as cash Cleveland go out there and ball out and he did a really good job Shuff in the line you start to see some improvements across it wasn’t perfect but playing with the young players he had coach loal did some work and so where the ties come in there he’s going to join Jeff leby you know Phil loal is a former U Alum while also playing in the NFL spent time with the Vikings you know some years there but he also worked in the coaching game with Jeff lebby when he retired from the NFL he went to UCF as a analyst he left there went to om Miss with with Jeff lebby as an analyst and then he also joined him at Oklahoma as an analyst so as he was cutting his teeth in the game he followed around Jeff lebby for the most part not saying it was directly with lebby but this it all points to him being everywhere that Jeff lebby has gone and that to me is pretty big as to why he would probably take the job and gets him into the SEC he’s going to be recruiting down there in the South and which he’s already been doing and he spent like he spent a lot of time with him from 28 to to 18 and 19 to 20 and 21 to 22 and 23 he was with lebby and he knows lebby’s system very well inside out because he’s been there with him so he’ll be there to revamp that offensive line at Mississippi State sucks here for Boulder losing a coach who has done so well for the Buffs like I I love what loal has done here and it’s going to be a massive loss got to just go replace him go find somebody cuz Lo H halt was also a very big upand cominging guy like I said he was an analyst up until he took this job and his first job first time doing it he’s groomed this line to be a lot better than they were the year before so we got to show him some praise him is coach Vincent Dancy the outside linebacker Edge coach for the Buffs he will be returning back to his state of Mississippi and and he’s going to be going to Mississippi State as well now coach those edges were flying tops in the Big 12 and sacks the line was playing great and Dancy was a big part of that and how the edges were playing and for him the connection is going back to the state of of Mississippi right played at Jack State he coached Mississippi Valley State and so he’s just returning back to the roots of his coaching and playing days and now he’s been able to recruit at the SEC level unfortunately I hate to see him go to again he was doing some magical stuff with the edges here in Boulder and it’s it makes sense for him to take the job Mississippi State if the opportunity allows him because again he goes back home and didn’t want to see that go you know he was a gr assistant in Jackson State when he started moved his way up Mississippi Valley State got the head coaching job decided to follow Prime here to Colorado dedicated himself to the game Edge coach his past year did well and now he’s headed back to the state of Mississippi to coach with uh Coach Jeff lebby there in Mississippi State so hate to see it hate to see him gone two coaches leaving right after the bowl game which I’ll tell you this as the Buffs of more and more successful you’re going to see this happen so be prepared Prime is starting to build up coaching staffs and he’s building up a coaching reputation so people are going to Wi as players good coaches always Le lose assistance together a recap everybody’s already done it it was abysmal this was bad play and it’s unfortunate we lost offensive line coach because honestly offensive line is where most of the struggle was the offense just could not figure it out it it was not moving the ball I’m sitting there watching entire time I’m like wait shadir is only thrown he finished the game with 208 yards but he wasn’t throwing it very well and the one thing that I’ve been pointing out for a while that needs to be improved heavily is the Run game The Run game did not do much Michael Welch five carries 25 yards shadur had nine carries in this game but he really didn’t have nine carries you know for the most part he probably had about four or five but the sacks also count they got BYU got four sacks in the game which is a lot lower than I thought they had five tackles for loss but and shadur scrambling was solid hit that 11 yard run which was really good he he started to scramble when needed but he sat back there for a while and it just was bad I mean 20 down 20 at half I wasn’t as concerned as most the defense turns up using the second half and I mean they gave up 16 points in the second half so they played a little bit better but the offense never got going and when they finally got the ball to Travis hunter in space four catches 106 yards and touchdown the 58 y was huge there was so many things in that I need to go watch the some of the all 22 we got to break it down and get another rewatch in I’ve watched it twice it’s it was it was just bad there was there’s nothing that I can hang my hat on and say was really good in the play it it just you know shadur going 16 for 23 getting out so quickly and so often in this game like the time differential 35 minutes to 24 on the stats 22 off first downs to nine that’s huge it was BYU was moving the ball so coach Rob Livingston’s got some work to do in preparation for next season only having a net of two rushing yards in this game it’s not good shadur counted for negative 34 yards because of the sacks but just two net yards you’re not going to win games against teams that are really good in the trenches and that to me is really what cost the team
