[Music] hello everybody Welcome in we have some huge Yankees news to talk about make sure to hit that like and that subscribe button guys thank you guys for joining me so max freed a New York Yankee Yankees upgrade their starting pitching they sign him to an eight-year $218 million contract so very very exciting stuff guys make sure to leave your replies down in the chat let me know what you guys think about this deal I love it um a lot of people probably love it uh so yeah we’re just going to discuss some Max freed stuff today guys so again we’re going to allow people to come in um don’t want to get too ahead of myself so just leave your chats down below let me know what you guys think of this deal um and yeah we’re just going to get started on it so max freed a wellknown Atlanta Brave for his entire career up until now um fantastic stuff he’s he’s an excellent pitcher he has uh two Allstars under his belt um and some of his career numbers are amazing so he’s got a career 24.1 War a 73 and 36 career record record and a career 3.07 earn run average so let’s kind of go over his 2024 guys so he went 11 and 10 with a 3.25 earn run average um see what how many home runs he gave up he gave up 13 home runs um we’re also going to look up like his walks his strikeouts so strikeouts per nine is 8.6 so he’s not really a swing and Miss guy but he finds ways to get outs doesn’t allow a lot of runs um Yankee Stadium not really a friendly you know pitcher friendly ballpark it’s kind of more hitter friendly especially down the right field line so something you got to watch out for he might end up giving up quite a few home runs in Yankee Stadium so that kind of worries me a little bit but other than that I really like what Max freed is about he’s had some postseason struggles with the Braves um but he did um redeem himself in 2021 helping the Braves win the World Series so um just exciting stuff uh I did hear about this earlier when Brian Cashman was supposed to be meeting with the media and he ended up cancelling said meeting uh three minutes prior to said meeting so every Yankee fan every Yankee podcast knew something was brewing we just didn’t know what and it turned out to be a huge Mex free deal um reports were saying that he wasn’t going to make a decision until Thursday and today was the day it was a it was a matchup between the Yankees Red Sox and blue jays all were in on him Yankees just ended up walking away with the deal uh again eight years $218 million he’ll be 31 in January so that’ll put him all the way up to his 39 age year so exciting I’m I’m excited as a Yankee fan leave your comments Down Below guys if you think that the Red Sox should have gotten him or blue jays but I’m just I’m ecstatic by this news as you can tell um this comes after the uh after uh the Yankees miss out on Juan SoDo so um just this is part of the money that they would have spent on sto anyway so they put it to good use in my opinion uh snatching up a uh a second Ace to back up Garett Cole um I feel like the Yankees rotation is going to be Garett Cole Number One Max freed number two uh as it should be um so just ecstatic by the news uh love it love what Brian Cashman was able to work out with Fred uh they did have two meetings with Fred and Fred loved the Yankees and the Yankees loved him so yeah that was not going to happen he’s getting paid the most out of any left-handed pitcher so $218 million uh eight-year deal so he’s got to be ecstatic by the money um Yankees paid him more than what any Lefty has ever been paid um so definitely well deserved especially you know putting up the numbers he did in Atlanta from 2017 all the way up until last year 2024 um just phenomenal phenomenal pitcher yep Yankee signed Max freed that’s what we’re discussing uh yeah exciting stuff um I love Max freed I love everything that he’s done in Atlanta and just glad that he’s part of the uh New York Yankees um just great great stuff guys and I know there’s more coming I know Christian Walker’s being talked to um there’s a possible trade brewing with the Phillies for Alec b um koscar Hernandez is definitely on the radar so there’s a lot more moves that I think the Yankees are going to make this offseason and just glad that Brian Cashman was able to put something down and just you know show that he’s willing to put the money in there hello to Ronald duffney I hope I said that right um but yeah just ecstatic uh make sure to hit that subscribe button if you guys haven’t already um I’m G to get on here as often as I can when news breaks so just you know keep a look out I do post a lot of uh short videos when I don’t have a lot of time to hop on here and talk about it um so there there’s just a lot of updates coming I know there’s been some signings with other teams I’ll make some shorts about those um but just finally happy to come on here this offseason and talk about something that the Yankees have finally done and was able to do um it was very very tight from what I heard between the red socks and the Yankees Yankees just were finally able to just seal the deal with Max freed bring him over now of course all this is pending his physical so hopefully all goes well with the physical and then he will be a New York Yankee so excit watch um G Cole we all know what gar Cole can do and you know he’s been a Sai Young winner and Allstar Max freed a couple of All-Star seasons and you know just putting those two together and then hopefully Carlos rodon continues to try to make a comeback and Clark Schmidt you know Clark Schmidt’s phenomenal and Luis heel you know being in his rookie year last year just throughout some phenomenal stuff so I really like how the Yankees rotation is starting to shape up for 2025 and hopefully that’ll help them not have to use the bullpen as much as they did in 2024 um so so as far as pitching goes I think the rotation looking good looking strong now it’s time to start putting the defensive pieces together uh first base Third Base uh you need an outfielder and then some relief pitchers and I think the Yankees are set so let me know what you guys think in the comments we’ll be on here for a little while uh tonight talking about Max freed um and then hopefully tomorrow Yankees will make some more moves because I know the Christian Walker uh conversations are heating up and I know that Christian Walker is going to be making a uh decision here soon hopefully there’s several teams in on Christian Walker I don’t want to get too far ahead of myself saying the Yankees are going to get him um I he’s just on my wish list of uh players for the Yankees to pick up he’s going to be relatively cheap uh but he has a really good bat and really good defense at first so something that the Yankees have desperately needed for the last few years so just just finally did it uh and and it’s been a while since the Yankees have spent in the off season I know we did pick up stto last off season and that was via trade and we traded away a lot but we had stto for a year and unfortunately Soto is now a New York Met but I think the Yankees are still going to be good they just have to get the right pieces in the right places and you know Max freed is just the start of it I think getting another starting pitcher that that you know is Ace level that can really help you guys that is just that is phenomenal um so yeah I’m just I’m ecstatic guys um and back to what you said fre should have held out for 760 there’s no way he would have been paid that much no pitcher would ever get paid that much unless it’s sh Otani of course who’s a two-way but yeah Max freed would never get 760 glad we got a couple of people in here like I said again just make sure to subscribe if you haven’t yet let’s kind of go over a little bit more max freed um because I just I want to like be able to go over you know as much as I can go over but uh yeah I mean just phenomenal stuff you know 2017 he went nine and or he went one1 3.81 earn run average uh bad year in uh 2018 Good Year 17 and six in 2019 with a 4.02 earn run average uh bounce back in 2020 7 and0 with a 2.25 2021 14-7 with a 3.04 uh 2022 he went 14 and7 with a 2.48 and then he went eight and one in 2023 with a 2.55 yeah Otani from La [Laughter] clarus you know because uh the Dodgers are putting everybody on layaway it is layaway season guys and that’s what the Dodgers are doing they’re laying away players and paying them later later so uh yeah and to be fair the Yankees did get Max freed for eight years 218 million but that’s to be paid all up front there’s no putting money aside or you know paying him later this is all his money so you know Yankees are not cheap like the Dodgers I mean yes the Dodgers won the World Series but you know most of their players still haven’t been paid in full yet so what are we going to do guys yeah buy now pay later yep that’s the Dodgers Mo um what is it motto buy now pay later if I could right now I could uh pull up some video footage of uh Max freed but that would take way too much time and I ain’t got that right now but I will post a video of him pitching on my channel um just so you guys can see what he’s about but man oh man oh man is this a heck of a deal but if you’re a Red Sox fan I don’t know who on here is a Red Sox fan besides one but uh Red Sox fans don’t worry Corbin Burns is still available and I heard that the red socks are looking at Corbin Burns so might have a shot at Corbin Burns who is another Elite pitcher on the market um I’m ready for the Roki szaki uh stuff coming out uh he has been posted to MLB but he will not be able to start talking to teams until after January 15th um and there’s going to be a lot of teams in on Roki zazaki so we’re going to be waiting a for that decision so just look out for that um I hear the Dodgers are going to be pressing very very hard for suzaki um heard Red Sox might have a solid chance getting him so we’ll see what happens with that um just phenomenal stuff going on right now in h baseball guys I’m going to pull up some more MLB stuff and see if anybody else has made any moves um I get all my information so Andre Jimenez is now a Toronto Blue Jay Mike talkman has signed with the Chicago White Socks former cub and former Yankee Mike talkman um so he’s headed to the Chicago White Socks yesterday the Detroit Tiger signed Alex Cobb to a one-year contract Alex Cobb is a phenomenal pitcher um so I can’t wait to see what he does in Detroit with the Tigers so it looks like the Tigers Yankees and blue jays have all started making moves now that wotto is off the board so this offseason guys is about to start hopping it’s about to get busy so keep your notifications turned on to my channel and I will have updates for you guys um including the Los Angeles clarus who will probably defer another contract here in a little while I’m just waiting for the next available player for them to defer um they have made some moves though um the Los Angeles deferrals got Michael conforto and they also picked up uh Blake Tran so couple of players that the Dodgers have picked up Yankees obviously the only move so far this offseason Max freed I love it I love it I love it um waited all day for this notification because I found out around 1:30 that something was brewing and here we are at 700 p.m. talking about it but they got it done guys yep he will be a Yankee all the way up to age 39 love to see that so max freed signed a 8-year $218 million contract with the Yankees including 218 guaranteed and an average salary of 27 million per year so $27 million a year for Max freed he totally earns that I mean if you look up his stats you look up what he’s done in Atlanta you look at what he’s done over his career I 100% think that he’s you know earned $218 million do over eight years um just can’t wait to see him in Pinstripes starting in 2025 let me know what you guys think in the comments we’re
