Nathan Zur here at Huntington bankfield where the Browns fall in the rain today 21 to7 to the two-time defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs dropping their record to 3 and 11 on the year and today was like so many other days Browns self-inflicted wounds were the difference the Browns return the football over six times today six times today you cannot beat the Kansas City Chiefs when you lose the turnover battle you certainly can’t beat them when you lose it six to nothing and if it weren’t for a great defensive effort this game would have been a lot worse than 21 to7 the brown defense forced seven three and outs on the day but the team could not capitalize in fact on the opening possession of the game the Browns forced a three and out on the punt by the Kansas City Chiefs James prochet fumbled it the Chiefs would score they’d go up Seven nothing they would not look back the only highlight for the Browns on offense well I guess there were two number one Jerry Judy 11 catches over a 100 yards he’s gotten his first 10,000 yard season in the NFL and he has just been so good averaging over 100 yards per game in the last seven and then there was Jerome Ford Nick chub had to leave this game with a foot injury he also would lose a fumble in the game but Jerome Ford had a long touchdown run that was the Browns only points in this one so that was it that’s really the extent of the highlights on offense for the Browns no takeaways on defense miles Garrett was so close to momes many many times but could not get that half sack to get him to 100 for his career he’ll have to try to do that next week against Joe burrow but the story of the day for the Browns turnovers too many of them I talked about the prochet fumble jamus Winston would throw three more interceptions you would have the Nick chub fumble and then jamus Winston was benched and as they trying to make a comeback late in the game Dorian Thompson Robinson forced one into a tight window and he threw an interception six giveaways not good enough the Browns also had some big penalties pre- snap penalties on offense that erase big plays for them and again same thing self-inflicted wounds and when you play a team as good as the Kansas City Chiefs who are now 13 and one you can’t have that and expect to win and the Browns did not win here today they’re going to have to go back to the drawing board who knows what Kevin stefansky will do at the quarterback position but what whatever it is they’ve got to take care of the football the Browns lead the league in giveaways over the last seven games and added six more of them today that is not going to get it done we’ll break this game down for you on Cleveland Browns daily plus start to look ahead to the Browns and the Bengals down in Cincinnati
