welcome to Bruins overtime live presented by biot toyota.com for offers Not Seen On TV visit biot toyota.com alongside Billy jaffy and Andrew raycroft I’m Dale Arnold Bruins win 5 to1 tonight this game was so good from the Bruins perspective you can’t find anything to complain about I that’s not true just try me I know but but you know listen they came out the most glorious wonderful thing was their first period they’re finally ready we thought they’re going to be ready against the peg we thought they’re going to be ready against Kraken and they weren’t at least in my eyes they were not mentally prepared to play in those games they were ready for this game it took two very tumultuous un unappealing type performances to maybe get them wred and they did they came out and they played the right way and it was 60 Minutes it was the entire way and they talked about that this morning um I like the fact that they they they put a dam they stopped it uh after two games they didn’t let it go to three we’ve talked a lot about this group only doing it once they’re not quite the same Juggernaut that they were two years ago where it was one bad game and that was it you never lost two in a row these guys have lost a couple times but they haven’t gone on a real bad streak and they stopped this one on the road on a Saturday night against a pretty good team before David poock scored a goal he had three apples tonight he was flying around the ice he was great he was great and and we you said it leaders got a lead and the best player have to be the best especially when you have two really bad games on the road and it has to be the power play listen the power play got this group going it was these Five Guys we’ve been on these guys about the power play scoring goals in a timely matter to get them off and running in certain games there’s been so many nights where you’re like all right early power play they get going and they haven’t and tonight they did so good on them and then they get out five on five and this line works the wall but they work it quickly the amount of speed that quickness that the whole team generated was fantastic this is will break this one down for it here comes Peak he get look again speed Dale he’s moving his feet the entire time generates Puck traction through the neutral zone gets it in and now Van’s like where the hell we going we don’t know where to and then I’ll here we come he’s going to come in from the point geek he’s going to support he gets two guys over on that side put the puck back down as I like to say change the point of attack make it to where you forced The Defenders to turn their skates and face the puck and then that leaves somebody else open so there’s two assists and the third was the best one uh as good as the second one was I thought this pass the vision the eyes to hit zaka in full stride there and then zacha to make that play going backand to forehand with Jake debrusk on his back it’s a thing of beauty well you were talking about speed and we got to really see the speed on the goal David poso scored yeah uh he I know cliche he was moving his feet all night but all the guys were but look it mean and makavo and makoy too yeah pushing the pace he’s getting up there the D is pushing the pace yeah but you watch 88 he’s just he’s going here’s makoy right up there and coming wide here he comes all right and now he gets he gives Demco a little something Razer I think Demco thinks he might shoot it from that side even though that’s not a great angle he want we keep the skates on the ice right there and then he dropped that right shoulder and again it’s the speed the speed just freezes you as a goenda decision it’s harder to read if he’s going to shoot so if there is a little bit of a movement there you have to bite on it and he’s outside that post too he he gets out yeah cuz he he feels like he has to take uh take it and David sees it star of the game presented by Subaru of New England fall in love with a brand new Subaru big day for David pook last nine games three goals 10 assists 13 points tonight a goal and three assists four-point night and by the way that third assist was also the 400th of his National Hockey League career uh you saw Charlie makoy helped set up David poock on that last goal that he scored there and after the game he spoke with Jud Sarat Charlie for your team tonight picking up the victory you’re first on this long West Coast Swing what details really stood out for you I thought we did a good job uh you know especially in the first period breaking pucks out um uh uh you know I thought we played behind him most of the night and I think we were able to to you know that allowed us to play fast it allowed us to get uh you know get Zone time get possession time and uh you know and make some plays from there David poock with a goal and three assists tonight Charlie is one of the best players in the world but was there something in particular that really caught your eye about his game tonight um just you know the creativity that he’s able to play with um you know he sees plays that uh you know are special he he he made a few exceptional plays tonight and um you know he’s doing that um you know all year uh and it’s just you know nice to see a couple of them go in tonight and you know I’m sure he can grab some confidence from that last thing I I know that all 82 games were important but this one in particular how big was it to get the first win on the trip yeah this was massive this this really you know kind of had the vibe in a room of uh almost like a Do or Die game but um certainly didn’t want to lose three in a row um can’t do that in this league uh two that we wanted to to flush and get behind and you know playing a good Vancouver team um we really needed this one and I think we played desperate and um you know welcome to the trip thanks Charlie thanks boys Andrew before the game you talked about the importance of a strong performance from Jeremy Swan and the Bruins got yeah he huge huge bounce back for him after giving up the eight goals in Winnipeg having the five goals against in the third period after what were six good starts under Joe sacko and that’s that’s the bounce back you need from a guy that that’s your guy you’re starting goalie your guy and and he came up big didn’t have a lot to do in the first period with the two nothing lead on the road knowing you’re going to have to have a big second he made 12 saves uh five or six big ones right in the middle where it was 3 nothing where a 3-1 makes it a game uh loved his game loved his effort and and it was a big one and now you take out again seven of eight games with Joe sacko have been three goals and under he got smoked in Winnipeg I get it he gave up eight goals killed his numbers but the reality is he’s 13 goals on in those other seven games on 166 shots his numbers are turning in the right way under Joe sacko yeah I love the second period And I I think that was key again because as you said razor didn’t any shots in the first and he had some real I I had him unofficially six High dangers in the second maybe more like it was just really good uh and now you’ve set up the real distinct possibility with two days off before the next game that he could play the next game as well get him again we talk pregame we thought that could happen and why not like this sets up perfectly for that we’ve got plenty more to come on Bruins overtime live you see Mark mcgoffin getting a goal for the Bruins as well we’ll get more reaction to the Bruins win tonight against the Canucks plus Andy Brickley will go one-on-one with head coach Joe sacko after the break Bruins overtime live is presented by biot toyota.com for offers
