tonight how about scoring goals in the third period I know it’s not at home let’s not get greedy but scoring goals in the third Peri perod huge you know after giving up that goal with seconds remaining in the second period to respond we haven’t seen that so great stuff you had him at a lot of goals good for you you’re like Razer Barry called it too by the way to was to his credit talking about in the postgame show Yer right all the chances the Bruins had now you’re feeding the it’s Thanksgiving it’s the giving season the other important part of it was the carryover from last night even though you lost the game you did a lot of good things very well you got that down you had a good start you cap to get you a couple of quick goals that gives your confidence going to your point when you let that goal up with what 7 seconds left to go in the second for them to go in and regroup and come back out and have a third period like that very impressive that’s one of the first times all year where they’ve really kind of said okay let’s go and not just the third period the second half of the third period when cuz they were okay in the early on had chance right it was even and and their legs in theory could have been heavier than their opponent than the Islanders having played last night and instead they they got that energy Pavo zaka oh we kept saying he’s been he has been a guy that has shown frustration has had a hard time going it’s amazing instead of using your stick to shoot how a tip can change everything a deflection and geeky you know guy really been and pasta with three helpers and Corpus Salo and gold again wins again yep Lind home with three helpers as well the Bruins were tied at three just over halfway through the third period and Pa zaka a shot from the point generating an opportunity all right so a couple of really good things here first of all there’s layered defense that starts solid breakout good real good chip the puck in a self pass type thing soken Waits Waits Waits martian with the four check all these are good little things that add up and then the best thing I think here is peak in the ready shoot mode he absolutely is ready to let it go and then pav zaka separates himself I believe it was Holstrom that he was matched up against regardless who it was he doesn’t get too wrapped up with him keeps his hands free and turns into Flex I really feel like P has created a lot of offense from this one little corner here yeah you know the last couple games simple play as you said getting pucks and bodies to the net and winning the race and you can see zoka in there everybody kind of goes right and that little deflection brings it back to the other side and that was a huge goal cuz again that makes up for that late goal in that second period gives you some momentum for the first time in that period I got a good buddy who says your offense starts with your defense oh yeah yes I don’t remember who it is I can’t remember his name but he’s a good old hockey player is he coming to Thanksgiving dinner with oh that’s right yes yes his name is Perry beon yes and and there again we go back and we and we showed that beginning of the highlight it was layer d yeah and that’s how it you eliminate it you transition you go that’s where your o starts so pav zaka picks up his fourth goal of the year to give the Bruins a 4-3 lead and then a few minutes later it’s pav zaka again yeah 235 later and the starts in the Bruins end Billy got good coverage back there now all of a sudden you get the puck with some speed in the neutral zone pasta gets this deep he doesn’t stop on he goes in and wins a battle down in the quarter as zedor puts it back in here what’s POS right there lifts up a stick wins a battle and zaka wins another battle in front it’s nice to see them smile isn’t it especially pav zaka it really is paa we showed him last night you remember how Ang he he was and you you could again you could see him thinking like oh crap I I I when am I going to score and here he end up putting in two but this is going to be a good pick of the stick there by posto on Romanov who had been out for a bit comes back in the lineup tonight for the aisles a strong player pasta says I’m going to win that battle that is great that’s hunger right there that’s quite honestly great frankly we Haven seen enough of that from David poso this season that was a great effort start of the game presented by Subaru of New England fall in love with a brand new subar as you take a look the first 23 games of the season for pav zaka three goals four assists tonight nearly half of that offensive production two goals and one assist and I I think it’s worth noting we could have easily named Brad Marsh and the star too for how well he got the team off and everything but it’s it’s huge to see pava in the third period come through it’s nice to see him get rewarded um for his play the last three games though even though he didn’t have the offense he’s really picked it up defensively in his own Zone good on faceoffs he’s been one of those guys communicating with the layers back at his own end so he’s been playing with a lot of responsibility now it’s nice to see you get rewarded on the offensive side and Ray crof caught up with number 18 post game p hug win for you guys tonight back-to-back games traveling last night Islanders waiting for you uh big one yeah you know it was it was a good game I think you know we took over in the third period I think we just kept you know playing the same game and creating chances and then it played out today yeah you guys played great last night didn’t get the result came out early got two quick ones uh played well a couple you know the goals are going to go in against you but you guys stuck with it all the way through that’s something we talked about after last game you know we had a good game but we didn’t get the results but we just kept sted with it and and you know help us win today and then two big goals by you and the third uh anything interesting anything different on those or just going to the net and making plays yeah I think you know the one was you know there was a great shot from peer just didn’t even stick handle shot it when we had you know guys in that front and and then pasta made a great play from behind there to me he saw me that I’m coming there and I was just trying to you know lift it quick up and and and went in so it was I think it was you know winning battles and then going to the net great effort Big Win enjoy right thank you you got so pav zaka finishes the job of Brad Martian to your point Billy got them off and run yeah he was great I mean look there a huge faceof win this is a good pre- scout they understand where they can be marshan gets an inner Arc of that Circle one timer gorgeous execution gorgeous and then here Brad Maran was like one of those windup toys in the first period he was just flying wound up the entire period here he is going to swoop in I mean literally we had him numerous times constantly moving his feet I actually think having played last last night help Captain out keep some limber keep some loose you know the joints Etc here he was grooving in the first period this second goal was all the result of the Bruins executing the breakout and Brad coming in picking up the puck and boy you need your captain to lead you in some crucial times and it really was early on because again the important part about this hockey game to me just can’t be overstated in the sense that you did not get rewarded for playing the proper way last night you did not lose your faith and you stuck with the system and you got rewarded this evening instead multi- gold games in Bruins history 64 piece for David poock and Brad Marian as you take a look at oh my goodness gracious 104 go games uh but the playoff the face off as we take closer look at that for Brad Martin this was well he gets an opportunity to actually take one too and and we just caught our eye like you could tell that he was really into this he was seeing the game Watch Right so now he’s looking to see what’s wrong see how he turns his hand to the back he’s faking like he’s going to pull it back here folks and then he turns it at the last second he brings it down forehand and he’s waiting all right now he’s like what am I going to do and he sneaks right by Nelson who’s leaning the other way he’s let he’s on his right Edge therefore Marian goes to his inside even though he doesn’t get a great shot up that’s a heady play he pulled a little uh Jake the breast there too huh he kind of lowered those hands a little bit on that stick shortened it up a bit yes crafty veteran move right there from Brad marshan meanwhile Bruins and Islanders uh no penalties taken uh first what was it 40 53 minutes or so and then the Bruins have to go on the kill after Makita zador off cross Che yeah and you win a face off so that’s really important the beginning get you down 200 ft now of course that means that they’re going to be pulling their goal tender here Billy when they get an opportunity but the Bruins penalty killing has been doing a good job uh you know the last couple couple weeks three weeks in the system we got good sticks there de your point look at Mary right there babbling great stick work great physicality in the corner you know he’s feeling good Billy when in his lower body in his legs when he’s able to battle like that yeah and he was seeking the contact seeking the the conflict and here I mean look Do’s got a hell of a shot there’s a little traffic in front but the Bruins do a good job of clearing just enough for carpet Salah to see here again they’re going to good rotate keeping pucks outside and P Salo then makes say that he had to at that point working the puck to the middle there’s where the rotation they read it really well uh you get Coyle out there and and I think it was was Lindholm out there as well doing a good job in tandem this feels like the type of game again I’ll just ask you is this the type of game that can really sort of get their confidence building offensively I mean we talked you know well can’t hurt well no it can’t hurt but after the Canucks game they have all these chances they get shut out but they carry it over to the second game to your point they score six goals and now you know you look at the schedule you got the Penguins coming up on Friday obviously they haven’t played well but they Sunday they did they won tonight and it’s the National Hockey League I understand that but just sticking with the Bruins offensively can this give them confidence hope it can it it’s a good start but remember too last night you could feel the frustration in the dressing room afterwards with the interviews you know guys were saying listen we played the right way we deserve better than that Vancouver’s goalie stood on on his head kept him in the hockey game okay that’s great but that would be a during a regular season you would just kind of wave that off you know the the hockey Gods will leave it it up in the long time but with the start they had it takes a lot to hang in there and believe in your system believe in the process play the correct way on the defensive side and then your offense looks after itself I mean I I I’m looking like I look at this baby steps and and and not to be you know make a trivial like like this is good first effort last night let’s go back to previous two structure defensively work your butts off get that mentality right okay then you get the baby step of last night no Silver Lining but at least again you played the right way now this game it doesn’t matter who you’re playing you still you put up six everybody’s going to feel good about it but every game Adam’s a reset it should make you feel better right but every game is a reset talked so much about this team confidence wise right and I think you know again you look at this game and say hey your offensive struggled big time all yeah it’s also easy for us to sit here as we said the last three or four games you could kind of feel that if zaka just gets one he’s going to get two yeah right that’s easy to say but bang all of a sudden you get it pasta three assists you know he worked hard won some battles Lindholm three helpers so those are the guys good game yeah those are the guys that worked very hard defensively again tonight and they were rewarded for it all right Bruins wi 6 to three yeah let’s of course but you know again uh a work in progress but a good start here in uh they made a good goalie look a yeah the final game before Thanksgiving and the Bruins are in a playoff spot and we know what that means historically uh Andy Brickley with
