and then we broke down and then we said we wanted more well in this upcoming game on Tuesday Mo comes in the form of a Providence team that just finished eight out of eight teams at the battle for Atlantis High major in name High major in brand it’s a big East opponent it’s a bad basketball team right now that’s the deal with Providence they’re down to 94th on kampon they lost to Oklahoma Davidson and Indiana in backto backto back days uh they basically did the Yukon except they looked a lot worse than Yukon did even so big east teams a lot of them going 0 and three in their mtes this week I wonder if Kim English will refuse to ever play a tournament again after this one the big question is if Bryce Hopkins is uh gonna play he was questionable for the battle for Atlantis he never played in the battle for Atlantis Bryce Hopkins is providence’s best player it would be a huge boost to say the least if they do get him back if they don’t have him they don’t have much to like out here by you will have the advantage almost everywhere on the floor what do you make of this matchup yeah it’s it’s an interesting game uh in a lot of aspects because this is BYU’s first true away game because this game is at home for Providence correct correct it is am Mutual Pavilion cart uh n the dunk is how we refer to it uh forever more um it is it will always be the dunk and I don’t care if Providence is 94th on kmom I don’t care if Providence is won I don’t care if they’re 342nd that team is tough to beat at home always it’ll always be that way I will always have belief in that I don’t care about anything else that is worth a lot in this game and also it means something to me because this is BYU’s first road game and it is in an environment like that now I don’t know how Providence school schedule works I don’t know if maybe this Stadium will be less filled because of you know what’s going on with the program or if it’s like winter break Christmas I don’t know how that exactly works but it is an environment that I think it makes it tough on opponents and I don’t know if I can I can say with my heart of hearts that I think that BYU has the team makeup and Moxy to go on the road right now in a true true Road game and win a game against the top 100 team uh yeah I guess in in essence it’s a test just in and of itself that you have to go do this um the other thing it is is it’s kind of a strength on strength matchup because the number one one thing on BYU’s profile that they’ve been dominant at this year has been rebounding they’re second at preventing offensive rebounds they’re 20th at offensive rebounding themselves it’s just like a staple of what they want to do and Providence is very good on the boards they’re top 25 in both categories as well so it is kind of going to be like a a game where I think BYU needs to do more than just out physical Providence that’s that’s the one thing Providence would welcome if you just try to come into a game and like let’s let’s roll out the ball and do a rebounding drill Providence will beat you to loose balls at home that’s what they will do BYU is gonna have to win this game with shot making with some Stellar play from jagor demon and I think that’s a couple of things that uh have been inconsistent for BYU lately yeah they need y if jagar wants to have a his star moment it’d be a good one have in this Providence game on the road maybe a little chirping maybe a tech if I can get one thing in this game it’d be a jagor tech yeah this is also BYU’s last game against a solid team until Christmas actually until New Year’s they they play Arizona State on New Year’s Eve all of December they only have three more games the rest of December after this Providence Fresno State Wyoming Florida A&M they they got Florida A&M sprinkled in there in December I don’t follow what this schedule is when do so they don’t they don’t wait hold on a second they don’t play a a big 12 game until January correct how is that even how how they allow that BYU plays five games the entire month of December Young’s a genius scheduler I think does BYU like playing basketball I’m starting to consider maybe they don’t until they get de bans so then they’ll love hooping matchups wise what can Providence do to deal with jagor what will they do if Bryce Hopkins is here that could be interesting they have jri Abdul raheim Off the Bench he’s a 6 fo8 guard they have Wesley cardette who’s a physical guy yeah I think physicality is what they’re going to try to preach in this game and they might not have some of those guards might not have the physical profile to hang with jagor but I think they look at maybe like the old Miss game and how physical those guys were and how like kind of up in they were jagor I think they could kind of try to replicate that okay um is this a matchup that you feel confident in for a good jagor Demon game or no uh no I gotta see it from jagor to be honest with you given given how these last couple games have gone against good teams I what we would constitute is not cupcakes yeah I I think I’ve said it before like Jor has all the talent in the world I want to see some [ __ ] to him you got to have [ __ ] to you to play well against Providence because Providence is going to be physical especially at home and this this is kind of one that I’m circling of like yeah is it going to be a game where jagor is content to just kind of stand and ball watch while D Hall does stuff uh that would be a recipe for disaster for me if you are BYU does Providence have enough offensively to win this game I don’t think so but it might be an it might they might have enough though just enough like this is if they win this game it’s going to be extremely ugly um but it’ll be just enough I mean Providence shoots a bazillion threes that’s the one thing on the profile that stands out they’re 11th in the country in three-point attempt rate 52% of their shots come from three that’s more than BYU who also shoots a bunch of Threes so we’ll see the problem is they don’t make them they they’re not a particularly good shooting team from anywhere they’re horrible from the free throw line they’re not top 100 in anything offensively except for offensive rebounding so this is a really gross offense it’s a good formula like I like how many threes they shoot but outside of like a fluke we made a bunch of Threes at home game I don’t I don’t think they have enough to win this game if they have Bryce Hopkins do they have enough yeah so this this comes down to that it’s a hard one to handicap because Bryce Hopkins presumably will come back at some point and it could be this game when will it be though if Bryce Hopkins is available how does BYU guard him because they play cannon at the four normally that’s terrifying that that’s another thing for it’s food every single player up and down BYU’s roster complete food for Bryce Hopkins couldn’t you just put your Center on him though and leave that’s also food it’s food nobody on BYU could you put jagor and Tello oh that’s what what’s the what’s the famous food in Moscow that’s that’s that’s fresh Baka so everything is food yeah what would you do if you were Kevin young then if Bryce Hopkins is there who gets the match up oh I think you gotta schematically come up with something they’ll throw
