uh let’s start up with uh Middle Tennessee State and Cal Baptist this is Murphy’s Boro Tennessee beautiful part of the country in Central Tennessee uh Cal Baptist has been pretty good this year so uh middle laying four and a half uh here in this match up out of Conference USA total 147 Corby Craig you were eyeing this last night and this morning it is on the sheet for game number one of the week before Christmas week all right what Drew you to this one sir go ahead yeah I’m going to take the over 147 so uh not get you out your notepads if you want the opposite you should take an under 147 I’m on the over 147 feel free to do what you want um a couple things first off cow Baptist I talked about this probably a month ago this is a team that the sharp quote unquote Community loves betting overs we’ve seen their over get steamed in every single game they’ve played this year so trying to grabb this right before it steams um it looks like it’s 148 now so um I’ll gladly take the point for the show but I think 148 is fine again if if anything is within a point of what I play on the show it’s completely fine taking the over 147 uh a couple things also thanks Scott I appreciate the nice tree uh Merry Christmas to everybody it’s we’re in the season um Middle Tennessee is an interesting team if you watched them in years past you see a team who was just God awful slow last year 297th um and in Tempo and that was all defensive minded like they were a really good defensive team in Conference USA they didn’t change coach they got some new players but they have quickly become a a fast basketball team and realize like when they play Fast they’re really good seven and three there’s no reason this team should slow down so this is kind of the idea that like a market inevitably has to regress and assume that Middle Tennessee is going to slow down I just don’t think it’s the truth like I see this team and I I think they’re playing well they beat UAB on 70 possessions and in years past they struggled with UAB so it’s they beat South Florida 9588 TJ a South Florida team who was significantly more talented on the player bases than Middle Tennessee they were able to scrub while playing fast so I think this those were two wins in Charleston at the multi-team event they won in the opening round they lost in the next round and they beat UAB in the in the third and final game that day however they also have a loss uh recently to Belmont so finish up on the handicap go ahead yeah playing 73 possessions at Belmont I think that kind of proves the point of like this isn’t the team who last year wanted to play 63 possession this is a team who knows like if they’re going to have a chance they lost that game by three on the road to a good Belmont team so I I think Middle Tennessee plays fast the Market’s going to try to regress this I made it 150 151 so um I it just feels like a midle tendency team that I don’t know if the betting Market’s going to be able to catch up to brother na do let’s talk about this one let’s talk about Cal Baptist coming in here we have talked about them recently also on the show uh here any thoughts on this game I’m just looking was this this the uh I’m trying to remember the game we talked about the San Diego State game the other night they they hung in they lost by six at San Diego State they have a win over Fresno State by the way Cal Baptist they have a uh they have a win earlier in the year over Eastern Washington also what do we make of them coming in on a Monday night as the road team Cal Baptist here any thoughts so two teams in are more kind of low major I mean they’re pretty efficient on offense both of them they don’t take a ton of Threes they’re both kind of groups that can operate at a pretty high level in the the half court you know Rick Croy a Cal Baptist has always been a pretty efficient offense his teams um and Corby I think hit it on the head with kind of uh taking a look at at at similar type Tempo teams or similar type uh groups every game they played has went over the total look have they struggled against the ucfs of the world and and even like at San Diego State yeah but even in San dieo State I me they put up 75 as you just talked about um both these teams I think are pretty good offensively I I would have put the total as he alluded to more in the 150s you know low 150s closer 145 to 150 is too low to me um throw in the fact that again you’re going to get quality possessions here high percentage shots these teams aren’t taking tons of Threes Cal Baptist is terrific from the line so is Middle Tennessee uh these two teams should fill it up and and I think both get to the high 70s I agree here right again uh do you know the name Dominique Daniels Che CH that’s the leading score for Cal Baptist at 22 a game and three assists per game will he have a big night Corby Craig is looking for one thing and that is this this total to go over he wants points he wants a lot of them I’m looking to see is this ESPN plus tonight in Murphy’s burough I believe it is uh tip time is 6:30 local time 7:30 eastern time in the Murphy Center in Murphy bur yes sir he he’s one of the better players in the country nobody talks about he destroyed San Diego State and UCF uh put up 29 against Fresno I mean he’s he scored 22 33 and 29 over the last three games and those are the toughest opponents really that that this group has faced he’s really good he he’s a guy that I think you’ll see on on another team in a year or two he’ll transfer to a better institution um he’s he’s really good Dominic Daniels he’s out of Compton California I’m looking he’s a senior and he’s only been at Cal Baptist does he have another year left what your point is after this year yeah they send him to somewhere all right again Corby Craig says blue Raiders Run and Gun with uh what is Cal Baptist the Lancers let’s score a bunch of points on a Monday night uh here to start the week off
