welcome to the Madison Miller podcast today is Wednesday November 20th 2024 today we’re going to recap college football college basketball NBA NHL and notable soccer from yesterday and look ahead to everything today in each sport we also have golf Survivor news and notes and best bet okay we’re going to start with college football um we will um recap the games from yesterday and looke to have it for notables um for golf um so I’m going to give out a pick um lovey gaber’s the favorite and rightfully so we go Justin low 45 to one why not so that’s a good one all right now we’re going to talk about Survivor um it was a really good show on Wednesday last week um this was probably one of the best episodes of the season if not the best um so despite being left out of the plan to Blindside Sierra Rachel tried to make amends with Andy while Sam discussed a Blindside on Gabe along with the lavvo 3 um so the reward immunity challenge that the players formed into five pairs prior to the challenge the partners were soul and Tiny Kyle and Gabe Rachel and Caroline Andy and Sam andeve the challenge consisted of three stages stage one the players had to crawl one at a time through a low sandfill tunnel collecting a plank along the way after both Partners completed the tunnel and got to their mat they dug up a second plank from a sand Circle the first three pairs to finish the stage Advanced Andy Sam and Rachel Andy Sam Rachel and Caroline were eliminated stage two the players work together to place the planks one at a time to complete a a puzzle staircase at the top they crossed a three tier balance beam and slid down a ramp the first two pairs to compete the stage advance to the final stage and won a food reward at Camp teeny Soul Kyle and Gabe moved on so eliminated was geneveve and Sue um stage three the players stood in a box with four levels of decreasingly narrow Ledges on each side on which they would stand starting at the top level when introduced by Jeff they would step down to the next lower level upon reaching the bottom level they would stay there until only one remained Gabe ultimately outlasted Kyle the win immunity um then following the challenge Sam Rachel Caroline and Andy who were the first two pairs out were sent on the journey and the four had lost their vote in the challenge but three of them could win it back in a vote in a game it was kind of like a Jenga kind of game and the person whose card caus the tower to fall did not win their vote back Caroline brought down the tower so she lost her vote back at Camp teeny Gabe Kyle and soul enjoyed a feast of BT sandwiches and drinks jennif and Sue could not partake in the word thus leaving them to sit back at camp and strategize together Genevie um worked on convincing people The Blindside Saul while the G and lavoo members tried to turn the vote on the Sue um perceiving her as the glue holding tuu together Genevie told Rachel about the plan who told Sam who told Saul Saul told tiny and Genevie that they need to follow Sam’s plan to get Sue out but tiny thought Kyle would be a better Target causing the target to flip from Sue to him at tribal the paranoia and uncertainty surrounding whether to vote out Saul Sue or Kyle led to a live tribal but a unanimous vote sent Saul to the jury so see you Saul um so obviously Caroline lost her vote Saul voted Sue and then obviously Rachel Sam and Andy regain their votes um so best move of the episode [Music] um I am going to say the best move um was jev’s idea of blindsiding Saul because jev’s move would have backfired if somebody else was voted out worst move of the episode um I am going to say um I know that’s a tough one worst move of the episode probably Rachel telling even though it this didn’t backfire but it might backfire down the road Rachel telling um or jevie telling Rachel or was it Rachel telling Sam it was telling Sam and Sam told everybody about the sa thing so um yeah favorite moment of the episode um probably when um H do I really jumped out though I need to think about that but I’ll tell you about the worst part of the episode was freaking teeny crying over Saul going home like that was very immature of teeny like it’s okay to be sad but she acted like like if something happened the sa like and medical had to come out that’s understandable but don’t freaking cry over somebody getting voted out in a blind side like get over it and Tiny voted for Saul she voted for Saul like that was the dumbest thing that she cried that was very immature a teeny and um why cry over something that you did that was very immature I’m sorry like it’s Survivor I’m trying to think of what my favorite moment of the show was it probably was the four of them doing the journey in the Jenga game and I like how Caroline handled not having a vote like she’s like all right I lost like that’s how you do it on Survivor all right predictions for the episode my winner pick right now even though she lost vote didn’t matter Caroline I’m still sticking with Caroline although I think the favorite is probably Rachel but I don’t think anybody’s talking about Caroline um individual immunity winner I’m gonna say Genevie I know I picked her to get voted out last week but um I’m say she Wass individual immunity this week next out I kind of think it’s going to be Kyle or Andy or Gabe it’s going to be one of the boys I’m going to say it’s going to be Kyle is the next out so good episode can’t wait for tonight it’s going to be a lot of fun okay now move on to the news and notes for today um New York football ball is dominating in the most dysfunctional ways the Jets fired Joe Douglas um they did it now so they have time to interview candidates for the general manager job um he was a bad GM he made the Zach Wilson pick he made a lot of other terrible picks he wasn’t as bad as Dave Gman but Joe Shane’s a better GM than Joe Douglas was um but yeah he made the Zach Wilson pick that set the franchise back and that’s what caused them to um trade for Aaron roders um and we’ll see and the Jets are just freaking mess right now like you can make a case that they’re a bigger mess than the Giants because of all this and then it was reported that Rogers may also be done in New York as the Jets prefer to move on from him following the season and apparently I think that’s Woody Johnson because he wanted the bench Aaron Rogers as he felt that his performance was holding the team back after the week four loss against the Broncos I couldn’t disagree with that more I think the defense held them back more than Aaron Rodgers he just doesn’t like Aaron Rodgers and then Jets players just checked out his players are just ready for it to be over in mid jam and head coaching firing yeah Schultz I keep thinking Jordan Schultz is a bleach report so I apologize to Jordan Schultz Jordan Schultz is the rising star in football media he’s getting all a lot of this information um but who whoever said that about the benching is weak as [ __ ] how about that because have you not watched Danel Jones play he sucks he was good for one season because he had the the second best running back in football on his team that’s saquon Barkley um and then after it was reported yesterday that Brian Dall was coaching for his job he pants reporting that Mara wants stay B Shane back as he’s Mara is tired of cycling through coaches every two or three years listen if Mar wants to bring them back I’m not opposed to it that’ll just reveal the freaking truth and the truth is that John Mara forced them to pay Daniel Jones I’ve been saying that on the podcast for months now George Brew my regular on the show um was the one who um told me this he has some sources and I got to give credit to where credits do and I think he’s right and the nepotism that goes on the Giants organization is laughable with Chris Mara but then again um Woody Johnson’s making john Mara out to be a good owner right now with um uh the um all the stuff that’s going on with the Jets but um if Jordan ronon is the one that reported about Mara not wanting to make a change um then I believe him so these two media heads both named Jordan Jordan Schultz and Jordan ronon from ESPN and fox respectively are on two opposite sides here but it’s interesting but then again if you’re drafting a rookie quarterback you don’t want to make the same mistake the Bears did in keeping their coach so you have an argument but the difference is that day ball is a better Coach than iberus and it’s not even close the Giants got blown out twice all year against theota team that’s going to make the playoffs and against a Eagles team that I think is the best Challenger to the Detroit Lions in the NFC right now and honestly I would probably pick the Eagles in a playoff game over the Lions right now because at some point aen Hutchinson’s injury is going to haunt the lions at some point and I think the Lions or I’m sorry the Eagles have the offense to uh expose Detroit’s defense and plus then again Nick serani I don’t know if I trust him I don’t trust Campbell either so we don’t know who to believe and the Giants bring in Maxi is saying cuz Joel and me is that’s just who he is and he thinks he’s hot [ __ ] he thinks it’s me my self and I and he doesn’t care for anybody but himself so I I do believe Maxi but at the same time I just can’t believe he had the balls to come out and say that and then he says he called out Joel in the team because he wanted to speak up and then it was reported that there’s no internal discussion around the job security of Daryl myy and Nick nurse and then the college football playoff rankings came out um just going to look at them really quickly um all right 1 through five Oregon
