this moment because if you see the goal we concede is throwing for us 90 minutes and the team that uh is ready to compete for that use that ball in different way but uh overall it’s important the the the performance of the team we’re heing the celebrations it feels like a really big win that took some resilience in the end as well yeah very big win um not easy game they difficult side to play with but um most importantly we got the three points in the head so we’re happy uh what was important in especially in that second half when brenford had that spell when they were really trying and getting good opportunities to to resist and to defend as a team yeah it was um difficult cuz they always play like set pieces you know and putting a lot of people in the box and it was very hard game though but um we won and we are delighted and very happy now Karen do you think the only thing stopping Chelsea from being serious contenders for the title is the average age of the squad the average age of a premier league winning squads about 27 28 the average age of this team is about 23 are they a bit inexperienced I think I don’t think it’s the age I think it’s in the experience if we ask the same question what we’ve said about Arsenal the last few seasons it’s because they haven’t had the experience the back end and your legs get tired in you know April March April and you’re really pushing at the business end that’s that’s why we’ve always said no to Arsenal so I have to say the same thing I think Chelsea are unbelievable I think the two Center halfs a little bit too young and obviously the goalkeeper is a bit he was fantastic today but he’s obviously a bit jubis as well but there certainly you can’t rule him out but I think towards the back end that’s where they’ll get found out a little bit I think the weakness is a center half and a goalkeeper I Sanchez was excellent today you can continue playing like that on that consistent basis then they have no worries there f is a big he’s out injured at the moment I think it doesn’t look too bad so if he comes back I I like Carwell I like the two fullbacks in Midfield they got it sus when lav is in there as well cedo is brilliant at the moment Enzo playing to 10 with uh with Palmer um and Nicholas Jackson scoring goals look at those fixes they won five in a row that’s what’s coming up most of the senior players don’t play in their conference as we know yeah and they don’t need to because they’re going to qualify and they’re not in the league cup so all they’ve got to worry about they got the FA Cup starting second week of Jan but it’s basically League Football week to week to week now with a squad that most clubs would you know what happened last time did Antonio con won the league the league I think if you look at those games there they’re all winnable with that and winning breeds winning and the mentality and it’s all positive as you mentioned everything is going smooth and even in today’s game you know Brent for the first half put literally everyone behind the ball and they found away second half they pressed them and had a right good go the SN and scored on the Counterattack they’ve got every way of trying to break down a team and yeah it’s just a two Center R and a goalkeeper but you’re right there still a window and Chelsea find a way to be able to buy players yeah I think it’s really fascinating what Chelsea going to do this season previously he’d been brilliant and Mark Kell that both fullbacks yeah it’s a shame for him because he does do some silly things but he’s a terrific player with wing backs and you have a wide man yourself and fullbacks it’s very difficult for the team with wing backs brenford here to pick up the fullbacks we see gusto in a lot of space and there’s karella on the other side getting in the Box and we don’t see two fullbacks linking up like that very often these two are really positive they love going forward look this is an easy pass out cella’s got a 2V1 on the left hand side based on frenford system now maybe they felt they could deal with the crosses but it caused them especially in the first half too many problems again they got no one getting near to Gusto there’s Y Man karella a bit more tucked in on that left hand side inside Sancho they’re not sure what who’s going to pick him up he’s running from late he’s running from out to in Gusto getting on the ball in his own half he’s confident he’s got Good Feet he’s got great energy and fitness and then at the bottom of your screen there’s your left back karella overlapping Jaden Sancho and again causing brenford problems because they’re getting outnumbered in wide areas and it’s Brave I mean you know there’s turnovers at times and they’re wide open but they take this risk you see the different positions of both fullbacks here there’s Gusto this time he feeds it out this is a brilliant cross in but who’s in there getting a diving Eder what a goal that is from karella and if they keep taking these risks they’re going to win games and they’re going to score goals but they will be vulnerable same again second half even when they were winning the game Gusto flying forward running in behind the wing back into that space great pick out really good with his end product I have to say and again they nearly score and this is karella mopping up in the middle of Midfield doing the good things that we talked about and again creating another chance but unfortunately for them he’s going to be suspended now with the pum last week Troy and Ashley asked them what do they know what did well what do they know about goalkeeping they said they did say one of the reasons they thought Chelsea might not win it was down to the they mentioned the defense but they also mentioned the the goalkeeper yeah you would you you are evidently disagreeing with them no I mean even today’s performance yes he had made some mistakes this season don’t get me wrong but I think he he the credit he should get as as equal because he made some brilliant saves today this is V I think his might just been offsite he wasn’t to know that’s a brilliant 1 V one block this is probably the save one of the saves of the weekend from norgard what what the save this is he’s thrown the kitchen sink at his feet there he can’t get injured obviously and I’m probably a a few scars to to to to show that but what I’m saying is he’s Brave he’s quick and you see at the end the shot at the end his own teammates clapping him the fans behind the goal clapping him I think he’s had a really good good afternoon I thought what he also did well just quickly is his decision making on when to kick and when to play out today was so much better he kicked it long more often Thomas frustrated especially not only for the results but because you you had some really good chances in the second half didn’t you yeah yeah of course I think we played a a very good very good game here at um at Stanford Bridge um and I think actually we were unlucky not to get um a draw um some big chances we we missed in the end um and I think we managed um over the 90 minutes to go Toe to Toe in in many moments with with Chelsea especially second half and I think a draw would have yeah probably been okay fair um so very pleased with my players performance in in many ways um yeah nothing more to say could you talk a little bit about the game plan because there were some really good defending in the first half but was it one of those cases where you just had to sacrifice a little the the offensive uh side of your game or did Chelsea really forc you on on this one no of course we uh Chelsea are a very good team uh well coached um very good players spent a few quit on on the squad um and um I think they are playing with confidence and they’re good so also credit to them to push us back a bit in first half um but I think in in overall we we took care of it we had one where I think we should have done better on the one n goal but hey that that happens uh second half I think we were even more aggressive went a bit higher uh in many moments um so very happy with that um um you could see um how much trouble we we cost them um the way they celebrated the 2-0 goal the way they celebrate the win in the end the way they played Short tried to to get the win shows that this was of course a a big win for them against us uh which I’m I’m pleased with the performance we had there and um I think the all performance okay you can see City lost Arsenal liol Drew I think they they are right up there in the title race uh they can talk all they want but I think they’re very good and it’s big praise for them and their second goal comes in a moment moment where you guys were really pushing them and pressing and creating chances what do you feel was key in in the changes you you presented in the second half was it more a matter of attitude or finding the right passes and the right spaces um you know I did think we we um we keep staying in the game we uh we grew a little bit more into it um throughout second half and uh yeah we created some some very good chances in the end a few arguments uh what what did you see on on the pitch we were talking uh now with sap and and he was just telling us that it was just very competitive game two teams who really wanted to win but but what can you tell us uh no I’m the same I I agree it was a very competitive game two teams that want to win uh that can get a little bit heated you know no no problem uh we all want to win and again here we are talking about the away form of course you had really tough opponents away from home but did you see any patterns today tonight that that repeated itself compared to other games yes that we perform very well so if we keep doing that then that’s a good pattern and then I know over time they’ll turn around
