Palmer did score a stunning stunning even goal to put Chelsea in the lead he’s with Katy Shaham call that defeat must sting yeah you know we was winning for a majority of the game but to lose at the end it’s difficult what went wrong no I think first half we played well we controlled the game um we had quite a few chances and then second half just seems to lose a bit of control and they’re a good transition team like to run direct so we got caught up with our game and we paid the price do you think the team lost energy or intensity in the second half and that’s how Fulham found a way back into the game no I don’t think we lost energy or intensity I just think we just like the manager said we just lost control of the game we turned it into a game that we like they’re better than us at just running and stuff but it’s one of them we just keep going now and we got another game in three days what other lessons were learned from games like this um so I’ll just try and manage the game a bit better and yeah you guys are the youngest team in the Premier League so still lots to learn but I suppose the managers said that you’re not title contenders do you think games like this prove maybe why that there still is plenty more to come from this team listen we knew we weren’t going to win every single game that we’re going to play with what is the manager’s first season with us we’re learning everyone said from the start we’re not a title contender is we just playing winning getting better as a team growing and that’s what we’re doing what else hases the manager just said to you guys then nothing he said it’s a good opportunity to learn we look back at it rest recover and playing three days how do you guys lift yourselves ahead of this ahead of you know it’s a busy period of think they lost control in elements where it it become a sort of a basketball match where end to end I see there was times where Chelsea were breaking and then it would come into K you could see maresa saying calm like SL slow it down I think he wants to be in control slow down even if fulam get back in their shape they got more than enough good players and talent out there to just work the ball recycle the ball around pick little holes out the goal for Cole Palmer done but they never had that that moment really no that’s where I think the messages from the manager was trying to get onto the pitch to calm the game down as let let us get the ball and take control I tell you what should we hear the thoughts of Enzo mes because he’s been speaking to Katie to take what went wrong out there no I think uh uh probably the first 10 15 minutes of the second half we consider too much transition to them too many transition and we could control much better the second half especially the first 15 20 minutes then I think the game was was there and unfortunately we can see it uh in the last minutes I go co Palmer just told me that game management could have been a lot better do you agree with those comments yeah it’s exactly what I said to them that we can manage better the game I think we consider too many transition second half it’s a team that with you know iobi Adama they are gimenez they are very good in transition and you have to control better uh but U yeah it’s it’s a game that we can learn many things in terms of learning many things what’s the biggest lesson that would have been learned from a game like this what I said that we need to manage better the game uh especially second half we knew exactly that it’s a team that they play in transition many times because they are very good player in transition so we could avoid that uh for some moment we avoid but as I said probably the first 15 20 minutes of second half we consider see to too many transition and we need to avoid that do you see this as a missed opportunity because obviously a win today would have seen you go a point of the leaders no I don’t I think it’s uh is it’s just a game that unfortunately we we lost uh but now it’s it’s just matter of recovery energy and try to go again in three days you’ve said a number of times that Chelsea aren’t title contenders do you think from today’s performance we’ve seen an illustration of that that there’s still plenty more to come from Chelsea no but not uh uh I I said many times that not because we win a game or we lose a game we are ready on already is the feeling that we have inside uh the reality for us and this is the reason why it’s the best thing we can do is just to focus on game by game and to see the things that we need Chelsea Squad right now from from now to the beginning of the Season they’ve improved and I think from now until the end of season they’ll they’ll they’ll improve again they they’re just slowly going you got to be patient we got good good players and then ree came in and and done really well so then I it’s just about buing my time but I think of the last five five games I think I’ve had three three starts one away at anfield bright and at home and then Southampton so I feel like I’m starting to get back back in in the team now but yeah like I said wherever I’m in from the start or Off the Bench I just try and help help the team H what’s the mentality now for like you’re taking points off Chelsea Spurs Arsenal you know Liverpool go into these big games is there a real Factor now that you’re going to go especially today like majority of the game you’re at one0 deficit you’re still involved in the game but even when you go one all it’s about then looking for the winner yeah for sure and like we’ve shown like you said against the bigger teams away from home as well that we can right we can tape tape take points off anyone and then I feel like we’re looking at games that we’ve played we’ve played at home wolves West Ham even ever ever and away where we’ve we’ve been in the lead or we’ve dropped dropped points we’re thinking to ourselves if if we could have got three points in them games we’re looking at the table now we’re in a good position but we’re looking at it I think we we could be a lot higher than what we are but we have to take confidence on that if we can yeah tweak a few things and get the results in the the games where we feel we should and keep keep doing well against the big big big teams I think we just got to keep looking up that table you starting a little bit more yeah w that’s we’re pushing for you from the start that’s what we’re doing I say Jimmy you’re starting a campaign we’re going to be joined by Marco Sila very shortly ask him I was clear like you’ve just said you don’t come here to park the bus even though you can look and say you’re playing a back five potentially he said no no we’re not doing that to counteract Chelsea we’re doing that to get the best out of us what’s he like in terms of you work with some top managers in your career I know maybe you’re not his best friend because you or you you don’t love him quite as much because you’re not starting but what’s he like is a tactician yeah he’s the top like you said I feel like a lot of teams when they play five at the back they do part the bus and they sit in and they wait for them count counterattacks and it would it would it would have been easy for us to do that when you got a dam dmer on the pitch but I feel like like like I said we played a five but look at Jedi’s position he was he was one of the highest players on the pitch Timo got the assist for the for my goals which shows how high our wing our wing backs were and yeah I think that shows if we do play five at the back we try and make it free as much as much as we can and support the players in in the attack and yeah like I said with his tactical now and the players he brings on um he brings t t good players on brings he brings go PRS on and he brings players up get ball uh now but that shows the squad we’ve got and we’re missing a lot of players as well we’ we’ve uh we’ve been pretty pretty pretty lucky with injuries last season in the start of this but I feel like right now our squad’s a bit thin and missing key players and to come here and get the win today shows what a good squad we we’ve we’ve got do you want to watch back the winner as well cuz you won’t have seen that yeah I thought you might like to see that as well CU this is of course after your go you thought you were going to get the headlines but stolen at the still played his part in in this goal as where he picks it up on the halfway line and yeah I think Timo done well I feel like when the it was easy for him maybe to just put it forward that that stage in in the game and then when I looked up and I seen I seen it with Sasha feel like the shift that he put in today for him to be in that position and to keep a cool head to pick out Rodrigo there is amazing from him and then yeah like I said when rogy gets in them positions he showed that he can finish yeah Jimmy you’d have been proud of that finish wouldn’t you yeah definitely so you know he takes it really well touch the control but don’t give the goalkeeper any chance to uh to settle and takes it really quick and yeah it’s a really good finish first touch is yeah feel like when you’re on the pitch it looks so different watching the both gold back I thought he finished it one touch I’ll be honest I didn’t real he touched it and then finish actually before there was a ball that went over the top after you’ve scored and you you you passed the first touch but it got intercepted yeah and there is where you almost uh got your striker in was a really good one as well I feel like when as that ball was coming I didn’t know whether to bring it down and maybe go go myself and I think it was cwell who came across so I thought if I can maybe find R Rodrigo first time and I think he just left the trailing leg but like I said even at that stage of the game we were still trying to go and go again and I know they had the chance at the end but I feel like the last was it 20 30 30 minutes I felt we were the team that was really pushing does it feel like now with the squad you like yourself come on today munz has come on made an impact does it feel like there’s a real comp competition for places like everyone’s got to be driving training being at their best because someone could easily just come in from the bench and step in and take the shoes yeah for sure I feel like it’s felt like that all all season especially when everyone was fit there was a spell I think or five five or six games there was three or four people getting left out of the squads who who wouldn’t in most most most squads around the league so I think that shows like you said the competition for placers training is high it’s top uh sometimes we have four five five day buildups into games and it’s competitive feel like you only really get to have a a smell of the team maybe match they minus one or two before that it’s like 11v 11 and everyone’s competing against each other so yeah I feel like it’s healthy and like I said we’re driving each other forward and as for you will this be the perfect Christmas present I imagine this is all as a footballer were you in yesterday by the way yeah we were in yesterday yeah we were in late morning to train and then back home for dinner and spent a bit of time with the little man and and the family so that was yeah that was nice to get them few them few hours and we were in a hotel last night so I’m looking forward to getting home now and I bet your family are so relieved you won because it must be horrible being the second half late drama to come Fulham the better side they improved Harry Wilson as he has done so many times this season Off the Bench and onto the score sheet I think as I saying there aobi was brilliant he started to see more of this taking people on it was a question marks over the foul there and I think Netto but there he is Wilson back post but again this guy Robinson as well heavily involved got the most overlaps in the Premier League just getting on the ball now and there’s the run there from Wilson stays alive second phase and it’s headed across and he’s just there to finish it and you’re thinking okay 1-1 is there going to be a winner but it’s a great little header there right place right time I think he he saw the ball coming over and he wasn’t picked up and he took full advantage of that and from that moment they kind of grew and grew within that game yeah for Harry Wilson it’s his fourth Premier League goal of the Season all in London Derby All Off the Bench so clearly it is a habit of his did you see them go on and win it did you only see one winner from that point onwards you know I didn’t like I said that I didn’t know who was going to get the winner didn’t know like I said the game really opened up and it got really Lively towards the end but credit to to fman again a second Super Sub coming on and making a huge difference as well and you know as is unbelievable to keep that ball where he needs it and then get that strike but I think TOS in here has he has to run out like he has to step out once that keeper kicks it because he can’t just amble through but I think as well though Sean a decision from the goalkeeper to kick that side and then make him so isolated as well the game management from from Chelsea there which is why they’re young question marks over why they probably won’t or may not go on and be real title contenders is things like that but your finish here Sean yeah the Finish was unbelievable this a it’s a hard touch to still a very young team and I mentioned there that game management at the end of the game just take a draw you know game manage kick it actually the same side that you’re going for don’t try and go for the win in the last minute of the game and you know it’s a question marks over why we’ve said about Arsenal can they go and do it we said it’s their experience that let them down and I think it’ll be the same for Chelsea good squad going places but too young and probably too early this season yeah I think a lot of people have talked about Chelsea’s defense and I think in this second goal that they ConEd what turned out to be the winner for Fulham that was your concern as well um yeah I think even from preseason that they’ve got better at it they were giving up chances to people and playing risky passes straight across their box and it like like has said because they’re young it sometimes will go up and down but I think in terms of them losing today I don’t think it it will affect him that much I think with with the new manager they’ll just it’s done now there’s another game coming up in a few days they need to focus and get that mind ready for that yeah well we’re going to move on
