Chicago Cub signed veteran starter ma Matthew Boyd to a 2-year $29 million deal so Matthew Boyd he pitch a l season coming off a Tommy John surgery and he was a big part of that Guardian team in the playoffs so last year small sample size 39 and 2/3 two and two record 46k a 2.72 ra 1.13 Whip and three quality starts for Matthew boy last season so like I said in the playoffs he looked good with this the veteran Lefty get a starting spot in this rotation with the Chicago Cub signing for a $4.5 million deal is Matthew Boyd so like I said last season he was a big part towards the end of the year for the Guardians after missing the majority of this season obviously with the Tommy John surgery and this Cub team is going to have a rotation spot open with Kyle Hendrick signing with the Los Angeles Angels early in the off season so in terms of fantasy baseball more of a deeper League Play I would draft in my fantasy leagues and more points leagues I think Matthew boy cellbone is more than your category leagues or your Roto leagues like I said he’ll get a spot at the back end of this rotation for the Chicago Cubs but I don’t think the upside is all that great with Matthew Boyd where he’s going five six Innings at most where you’re not going to get a lot of strikeouts from him and he’s going to be a crafty Lefty most times than not but even though going to Wrigley Field which is a hitters park could be tough on him as well so Matthew Boyd signing a deal with the Chicago Cubs and then the fantasy drafts he’s going to be someone in the later rounds like that 20 23d round range I would get in deeper leagues enter in the 2025 season
