domestic scene you know first of all they play against myc football club in the final of the khen knockout Out In Bloom Fontaine Sundown Score first and then myc come back and scor two goals in the second half let’s just go through that just take us through what you saw J we’ll start with you I mean let’s talk about let’s start about Sundowns first of all uh what do you what do you think went right or went wrong we’ll get to a fun story now but let’s start there first yeah I think you know it’s it’s it’s always difficult I mean you’re talking on the point of being a player and you’ve been away from home from like for a long time when they were going to play B now they come back they’re going to play a cup final that take it allall I mean I’ve played the game it wasn’t always easy some or somehow you normally succumb to the opposition because mentally you’re not okay physically you you you you’re not there but you have to go and fulfill what s said to do to go play the final but for me I think that was evident when they play Mesi everybody would look at this s team and say obviously this is B Team eight players that like started that played in fact for B baana in in like a way and they come back and lose to Mai so yeah for me I think it was like the Shane you you you you you you you have also Co you have played in your coaching also and getting involved this how long does it take for a player to they call it regeneration for them to come back and be fresh again to be able to start and play you know given the time frame that they played a game on a Friday and they played a game on a Tuesday in Cape Town flew back on a Wednesday then don’t got to Camp unable to train because I don’t see there’s going to be any training time in between they before they play the game yeah that’s the problem as a training time but you know Brown when I played I prefer to do that I would rather go play games and then do the training you know yeah it’s a matter of of of being professional it’s a matter of the the management team having a look at players and seeing if they fresh enough are they ready to be played are they ready to go out there and give 100% it’s all little things like that you got to look each individual player is different yeah you know Jerry Jerry will react differently to the travel than I would and you got to go through that you got to have a look at it and you got to be professional and say hang on a minute if these players aren’t ready to play I’ve got a big enough Squad I got enough Players let’s SW them out not just go put them all in and say you guys must go and play so I I for me I blame in in a way I blame the management because they didn’t do that they didn’t look and say hang on a minute these boys are tired they deserve a little bit of a break you know if you don’t have the players it’s a different story um you know like other clubs are we talking about if you don’t have a big enough Squad of decent players then you got a problem and I’m not talking about I know where we going to go to now but this is the point I’m trying to make is you know you if you got displayers why not rest those and and yeah it’s a c final I understand that and you you are not hide into nothing if you do rest those players you can put them on the bench and bring them on you know a fresh player is better than a tired depleted energy player so for me I just feel that they they got it wrong the management got it wrong I I I look at the numbers yeah um I guess that’s how we look at things as commentators as well as well would the first half they’ve got all of The Possession over 70 73% um all of the chances belong to SS no chance no shot from M first half so s own the game first half they score an early goal they create numerous amount of chances they could have put the game to bed in the first half with the number of chances they created alone now this is the difference um is the plan working for man first half yes it is uh you’re talking something that’s very interesting for me because when I sit down and look at the team and I say yes we have a sown team who started the game and want to DET take temps on how the game should be played they go a goal up come the second half you see a totally different majes city so when when when Sundowns make the changes because they become now slops lopsided because you find help at the back with the same Pace going forward to inject more pressure on the opposition I mean for me that’s an overall player there’s there’s one more thing I spotted in the final um that I thought wow okay I can see this side of him before uh which is a bit of a leadership quality when they when they conceded he was the guy going guys come on come on come on let’s go let’s go let’s go and for me that was big I had seen that side of him before and I thought wow he’s not only leading by example he’s also you know but if you look at that whole team if you look at the whole team that’s the whole team is like that I mean they all play for each other they all fight for each other I I haven’t seen a team that they come back and defend like they do and then within 3 seconds up there up there pushing forward and my only worry about that is um how long can they keep it going they don’t have a big Squad they don’t have a massive amount of players starting 11 you can only do that for so long and then you’re going to get caught out and um he’s done it again against Sundowns did it previously Pro in 2012 uh we talk about I mean his story is something else you remember in 201920 he relegated po guani City people always remember that story he went down you know to regroup went to Summerfield dynamos eventually found himself at my Cas football club helped them get promoted into change say that before the game which one has to take into account um and then on top of that you play against exite that hasn’t lost in 21 22 matches now um that tells you something they haven’t lost all season they haven’t lost since March um and even though they did lose in March wasn’t loal local game um that’s a long time without losing organized side that was very organized organized exactly very organized they were clever the way they played against Sunland because they they sat back and then caught them a couple of times on the break and sunds were lucky once or twice second half especially but for me yeah you if you make the changes I I don’t disagree with that um I really don’t because obviously some players were tired but it’s the players that he brought into the team who
