on some move on type of timing um yeah it was more like like unless he signed somewhere else like the moment he signs somewhere else then obviously yeah you got to move on right there no other choice but for me until there’s any until there’s no other choice but to move on I’m not going to move on uh but what I said what I meant what I meant when I said that you know I feel like my mood shifted the last 48 hours because and of course this is only true if the rumors are true um so over the last 24 hours we’ve heard uh it was late reported late last uh night in the evening that the Yankees and the Mets were now both over 700 million in their offers to yeah one Juan sto right yes and when you saw that I think you know a lot of people in the timeline and naturally so they took a kind of like a L well oh that’s the case it’s right yeah they told was that you know Stevie’s going to be so far above all the other competitors all the other biders that that’s going to be the Met’s power in this negotiation it’s going to be his wallet he’s just going to out bid Everybody by a lot and when you think a lot you’re not thinking 15 20 million you’re thinking you know 50 million 60 75 right uh but what’s being reported right now and again you take this with a grain of salt even though it is probably the most reliable of all the reporters right now because he is the one who seems to get the narratives from directly from Boris Corp to put out there yeah Don Haymon what’s being reported now is that the somewhere around the 710 range and the Mets are somewhere around the 730 range correct is what it is y That’s right when I heard that last night I was really excited right I think we all you know we spoke on our chat and I was like well I mean if if the if how’s up in the 700s man shouts out to him I think you know that’s it then I guess tomorrow I maybe late tonight or tomorrow we’re going to get some good news man Juan sto’s coming back to the Yankees corre but uh you know today has come and gone and we haven’t heard anything and I’m just like you know I’m sitting here and you know Francis just began to think like well the Yankees are up over 700 million for you the Yankees are offering you the record contract period not just for a position player not just a Dominican player not just for any right fielder no they’re giving they’re offering you a record contract in the history of baseball for any player any player it is a record if it is over 700 million nobody in the history of baseball can say they signed a richer contract than you that’s right it’s the New York Yankees offering you that the most historical franchise in the game that alone makes it even more historic exactly not only did you get the richest contract in history but you got the Yankees to pay you that like the Yankees St that they needed you that you were worth that much that they had to do that they had to break records to bring you back here and keep you in the fold and then I sit there and I’m just like well if that’s not enough Pete what is it then what what is going to be enough and that’s why I am where I am right now where I’m just like I I don’t know I’m starting to I’m starting to have different questions and different thoughts in my mind like well then what what is it here what’s what’s going to be what’s going to put the final team over the edge is it is does it matter where he wants to play at this point or is it more about let’s just see how much we can run it I saw tweets about 800 million today Pete yeah it’s nuts I mean look I I somebody somebody called me out the other day right and rightfully so they they were actually pretty correct about this they said and it was on YouTube here and they said Pete you said if it went to 700 you would have you would have walked away I said yeah that’s when we were thinking it was to be 610 625 615 650 would be like wow they would go 650 I don’t think anybody expected many teams would be involved with flirting with 700 no and when you found out and I credited Michael K recently and guys we got well over 800 people in here do me a favor smack that like button and subscribe to the U if you have not you’re going to sit out there and you’re going to say that this deal is too much for a player well how do you judge that if there’s multiple teams saying well pay it how is it too much that’s basically then you can make up the worth the value all that fun stuff however you like but at the end of the day teams are willing to pay it and that’s what we’re seeing right now with Juan sto is and and with the most recent update coming from John Haymon who out of everybody reporting stuff I think you do got to believe John Haymon more than anybody let’s be honest here yes I get it he’s had his moments we all know that every reporter has their moments you’re going to be right you’re going to be wrong yeah he’s fun to joke around about because of the arson judge I get it but let’s be honest here compared to anybody else Putting Down News he’s the one I i’ put some money on I’m talking yet in regards to sto of the people that have been putting out news because you haven’t got it from Jeff p and you haven’t got it from the other big reporters a lot of it has been John Haymon and if the Yankees and the Mets let’s just say I I I said this yesterday if the the Mets are at 7:30 and the Yankees are at 710 well my brother this is now preference this is is now preference one would think right yeah this is now a preference that you have to make for yourself and you then have to decide so when Francis is saying well what is it then I think it’s fair for people to look around and go maybe I am a little bit concerned maybe he is just looking for top dollar but then also I guess you can also say it like this right could it also be Scott Boris just doing his job saying hey look Juan if you want to go to the Yankees we know where they are that contract’s there you got them yeah but we could always bump it up a little bit we can wait you can wait till Monday night we can play this against each other until Monday night I mean I some people don’t get this too that is part of an agent’s job to get the most money possible so if Soto came into this thing early and said I want the Yankees you could already said well we already have a win we got them over 700 million if that’s the case yeah you never know what if he signs and it’s 655 670 and everybody’s just been wrong who the hell knows and maybe they’re waiting for that 700 million but never got it who really knows at Pasto I want I do want to talk about that um but sto’s worth I mean we we know we know who this guy is and I get where people are coming from I just think a lot lot of stto has more to do with his age I think a lot of it has to do with you’re getting a 26y old star you’re getting a guy who is marketable let’s be honest guys teams look at a lot of things that we don’t pay attention to right you could put sto’s face with that big smile anywhere he’s marketable he’s very very marketable he’s a fun character he does the bat flips he’s just about everything you’d want in a player there’s no off field drama there’s never been anything like that you don’t hear nasty rumors about Juan SoDo he has a great family he’s family’s present there’s a lot of good things that you would like about stto he really is and I I again I hate getting into the number stuff because people oh but that’s over that’s crazy nobody deserves that fine but that’s what they’re getting paid in Major League Baseball where we are yeah that’s where we are you can’t argue that that’s what they uh their skill is getting them paid in their Market they’re getting a lot of money and Juan sto again 26 years old that’s like saying a healthy Mike Trout is 26 years old he’s gonna get the same damn thing he would command Aaron judge judge was 20 if Aaron judge was 26 oh my God forget about it he’s looking at easily 200 million on top of whatever stto ends up signing easy easy I mean if you’re talking about that type of player now and a team could sit there and go um he’s a a gold glove right fielder too he’s one of the best defensive right fields of the game Soto can’t say that and I’m we’re not we’re not sitting here put these guys for the average that judge does like correct there’s a lot there I’m almost glad now that Aaron judge was older you know when it all happened because to see the way that this is playing out it’s like whoa yeah that that would have been absolutely Bonkers Aaron 26 coming off one of his best season like imagine he’s 26 and he comes off a record-breaking season and going to free agent it’s insane who knows where that number goes it’s insane it’s insane I mean if if you’re looking at like you said If you’re looking at stto getting Seven Something judge would get 800 right bare minimum you minimum you would think I blame and people probably gonna laugh because they’re probably gonna think I’m kidding but I I blame Otani for this [ __ ] I really do I blame Otani and I blame the Dodgers I think that I think that what they did last season is is something that really shifted the direction that baseball is headed to in the future and I am scared not not so much about what’s going to happen with Juan sto at the end of the day I think you know that decision is his decision and there’s really nothing that we can do as fans unfortunately at this point it’s out of our hands I think we did everything that we could I think we showed up and we showed out and we really I love I love the way Yankee fans you know did their thing this season he embraced them big time and you know we did our part we had our event we were right there in right field we had our specific champ for him he acknowledged it I mean bro we we did our part as fans at this point it’s out of our hands but when I look when I look at what’s happening now and I go back all the way to last off season I’m just like damn bro the Dodgers may not have realized it because they were just you know laser focused on getting the the best uh star in all of baseball in sh Otani but what they did did is they they shift they shifted to the the future of free agents who are on that level for years to come I mean we are headed for there’s nobody who can convince me we’re not headed for a lockout in two years bro there yeah it’s going to be crazy I hope I hope not but it’s going to be hard not to assume that that’s a real possibility there’s no I just don’t I don’t see how we avoid it at this point you’re talking about contracts like this right like with W where we said realistically speaking going into this the guy walked away from 440 you knew that negotiations like had to start around 550 it’s it’s it’s looking like negotiations started at like 600 yeah cuz we were talking about remember during the season we were like can if you were how would you just try to overpay would you come out there with a 625 deal or 630 deal and now it’s like we’re laughing at 6:30 now we we were talking a little bit off air and I know this sounds nuts to people but would anybody really be shocked if that number isn’t even 700 if he did sign for a 675 five I mean you never know how baseball is today we’ve seen that before right when his number is oh now it’s approaching this and then they sign you go well that wasn’t what was reported I mean it’s happened before it’s not like it hasn’t it could all be BS at the end of the day and there’s part of me for for the sanctity of baseball and for hope that we don’t go to a lockout two years from now there’s part of me that’s hoping that some of what we’re hearing with the numbers is just bogus reporting and people just really don’t know because you know team are playing it close to the vest as they should at the end of the day the because people might be saying well well how could the numbers be bogus I mean these people are reporting it well here’s how it works if Pete is negotiating with a player and I’m negotiating with a player from another team right Pete doesn’t want me to know his number because if I know his number it helps me in my negotiation I know that Pete is at x amount then i’ say okay well then I know I probably got to go to x amount but then when I go to x amount I want to go to that amount with the guarantee like hey if I go here I get him right I I don’t want to go here and then you bring it back to Pete and now he can go here and stuff this is why teams play the number Stuff very close to the vets and we don’t really ever know actual numbers until the deals are in ink and dry because once this information gets out it becomes very difficult to negotiate the Yankees have tons of experience doing this as do the Mets so is it possible that the number comes out and like Pete said we’re all like wait what like six 635 or like 675 like how did that happen 685 like I thought he had a 730 offer on the table like did he walk away from 50 plus million or whatever who knows we don’t know but that’s why I said I’m just going based off of what’s been reported the last uh 24 hours and if it is indeed over 700 it’s like damn man do we even get here do we even get here if the Dodgers aren’t able to defer 600 plus million 680 million of that contract over 10 years yeah like do we get to 700 if they weren’t able to defer damn near 700 until 10 years from now yeah Pro probably not and I I think when you talk about the CBA I think that’s going to be a major topic of it is a defer deferring of money because a lot of a lot of teams have to be upset about that whether you whether you agree with that or not because the player has to agree too it it is a bit wild that you can do something like that and go worry about this all the way down the line years and years past so hopefully that’s not the case but again guys we got a lot of people in here today we are approaching 1,000 um in the chat right now stto returns starting pitching isn’t the second thing that I’m looking at I still think okay you got soda okay first base who’s playing first like what are we like our rotation people can kick scream whatever we have the Rookie of the Year in Lou Hill right who’s young and and likely going to be better Clark Schmidt also young likely going to look at that my favorite graphic is there right Clark Schmidt going to be better you got gar Cole the ace you got Carlos rodon who had a bounceback year maybe not the greatest that that people are expect but he bounced back in a very good way and then you have two other options in strowman and Nester Cortez I mean to even add to that rotation you have to move somebody off of it but who’s playing first who’s playing second next year these are questions that need answers correct either of those positions so yeah and you know I always show that graphic that you just saw they got some of the and this is something I bring up a lot right you bring Soo back those positions you just talked about your first base even your second base for the majority of the Year let’s be honest gabber did have a great month and a half at the end you had a great ALDS ALCS didn’t have a great World Series but and left field you got three positions that were below average last year truly below average you can everybody goes oh my God I can’t believe Pete saying is just listen to what I’m saying here I’m just simply saying if you got average production at those three spots you’re a better offensive team not saying shoot for average I’m just saying if you got average there you’re a better you’re a better team there’s no denying that but I do got defensively too exactly like the defense at first base I think has been understated we haven’t thought about it but it’s like um and not we like obviously us hereu we’re talking about these things all the time but I think a lot of f kind of overlooked uh just just the situation that we’ve had defensively at first base over the last year and a half since the Rizzo injury um and having somebody there who’s who’s going to be more than serviceable who’s going to be a sure-handed glove out there it changes things it changes a lot I mean vulpi is a decent Short Stop he won a gold glove in his first year but vuli needs a good first baseman to to really be a good shortstop and and Jaz chis I’m going to sign let’s just go Burns of freed whoever you like ma freed will be cheaper I think we we all agree to that he would be a cheaper contract than Corbin Burns yeah you sign him and then you say all right I don’t know who’s available out there I again we haven’t heard many trade candidates that are available especially younger players I don’t know how much cost control players are available and are out there but would you then go I’ll add starting pitching and then maybe a guy like Dominguez is available Spencer Jones is available Louis heels available uh Clark Schmidt is available and maybe we can get a Donovan a Bellinger and somebody else not the sexiest thing in the world but we did add starting pitching we do add guys around that infield and Outfield is that something you would even look to do or entertain I think I think you 1,00% have to entertain it if you’re you’re the Yankees I mean if you’re not bringing back Juan sto there is there is a gaping hole on the team and it’s it’s not going to I don’t think I know that that’s that’s a AO hey yo but I think the trick I think the trick here is not to to approach it like in a way where you think oh well then then we pivot from him to this next guy there is no one guy agre places him if you vat is the only one if he’s truly available that I’m like all right I’m so though but that’s not bad it’s a yeah and that’s the thing with vlat that vlat creates the same type of Splash in a and that not because he’s you know big boned but like he just it’s yo he also creates a splash if you sign him because it be the AL East you know trading with each other and [ __ ] but I think the thing to understand is that you know it’s not going to be something that you can kind of just by grabbing one player it’s going to have to be a a group of moves and I think the best way that you can approach it if you’re the yanies is to survey the trade market quickly and if they’re not doing that right now then I I don’t know I mean you guys saw that yeah if they’re not doing that right now then then then they’re already kind of in trouble because where we are in the WAN stto stuff and obviously the the Yanke front office I’m sure Cashman how um they have a better understanding of of where that is you know market-wise right now than we do um and I’m sure they they know probably what’s gonna happen over the next day or so I’m pretty sure that they have a much better idea than we do hell yeah if he even if even if he’s coming back they should already be looking for okay so after we sign him then here’s what we’re pivoting to next of course here’s the next move and the move after that but if he’s not coming back like your work is really cut out for you and you need to be kind of surveying okay so what’s out there if vlat is not a realistic possibility then can we call Chicago and see what’s up like can we possibly do a Blockbuster in terms of you know grabbing Bellinger and Nico Herer and we solve two problems in one move but we’re gonna we’re going to need to create a package that they’re comfortable with as a return now the Yankees and Cubs have done a lot of business in the past and if you look at the track record a lot of the business we’ve done in the past has been kind of good for both teams so that’s that’s probably the second call that I make after Toronto I call Up Chicago and I’m like hey here’s the skinny you know what I’m saying love would love Bellinger over here obviously there’s the family thing but we also think the Lefty bat short porch he’s playing first base also plays Outfield he does a lot of things that we need right now go horer also like him now we know to package those two together is gonna take a lot that’s a blockbuster but we’re willing to talk Blockbuster stuff with you here’s what we have to offer you know we got Dominguez you know we got Jones you know we got heel you know we got Schmidt okay those are four names that are already three of which have already kind of proven in the MLB you can make arents about Dominguez but the potential is there and everybody with two eyes sees it give me two of those names give me two of those names that you guys are high on and let’s try to build framework around a deal with those two names and then we also would need you probably to take a Marcus strowman as a part of the return because we need the money to work because if we’re not going to be shelling out this huge contract for stto then we are going to be a little bit more um we’re just going to be a little bit more efficient with how we spend money in 2025 so that in a good position for 2026 correct that that would be my second call I’m there with you I’m there with you on that one and and I think that’s actually extremely intriguing now I would do everything in my power to give Jason Dominguez every single chance he could get to be a superstar at this level yes um you know whether you like whether you like Spencer Jones or not I’m sorry but to me at this point of their career to two they’re just not they’re just not comparable they’re just not no matter what anybody want either yeah it’s not it’s not shot at at Spencer Jones at all they’re just not comparable at this point of their career Spencer got some work to do guys you got a thousand people in here I need those come on man give us the likes hit those thumbs up folks we got 347 on the likes only got a thousand in here but continuing on with uh with you talking about this um possible deal that we’re trying to figure some stuff out of course before or after we find out the news about sto but I think that’s a that’s a smart move and I would more than be willing to move Spencer Jones and maybe a starting pitcher well not maybe I would have to move a starting pitcher in that deal maybe a Jones Clark Schmidt and I don’t know if you can I don’t know if you can offset the salaries a little bit by saying if we add those two you got to take on uh Mark Marcus strowman yeah I I don’t know if that’s something they’d be willing to do because I mean they’re still getting two really good cost control players along with a little bit of a salary that’s going to be less already they’re still winning in that side also yeah because I think I want to say um Bellinger I think gets paid 27 million but I think ni Horner gets about 12.5 or something like that for the next couple of years based on the deal he got over there though yeah offet offsets a hell of a lot and you’re you’re you’re bring you’re bringing you’re bringing on change to bring on two players who are going to help you and for those who would say well what what interest would there be on their end in terms of like a Marcus strowman they would be very interested in Marcus strowman if you look at the pitching market right now you look at what guys are getting look at think a lot of teams actually would be yeah look at the team Montas look at the deal Montas just signed look at severino’s deal um strowman is is still at a very Team friendly deal and I said it last year when they signed him I was like this is actually a really good deal like um I mean you might not love it because it’s like oh like it’s Marcus strowman he’s not like the big flashy name or whatever Marcus strowman is a guy who goes out there and he pitches he’s there he’s there every fifth day he’s also done it as a cub and I think that if you’re the Cubs you kind of do welcome that like well this is a guy who was pretty good for us he had an All-Star first half for us hey why not see if he can come do that again give us some stability in that rotation why not um I think it’s definit worth the look if you’re them but even if it’s not the Cubs if you’re just talking about a market a market for Marcus strowman Happ is 1,000% of Market yeah for a picture of his caliber making only 18 million a year just because of the way the market has kind of took off for starting pictures agreed got a injuries and how run down he is physically can the Yankees afford to do that and when I start thinking like that that’s when that’s when I really feel confident about Juan SoDo because when I think like that I’m like then how how do they even remotely entertain letting this guy walk there’s no way because when I think about the ages of the of the people who have anchored this team the last couple seasons and I think about the possibility of that window not being the same you know the same size window there still will be a window it just won’t be as big two seasons from now three seasons now how do you not get SoDo to maximize the next two or three years that’s the thing man it’s like how do you not that’s where it comes down to and we talked about this too we said it we said I was that’s an agency thing he’s correct represented by Boris Corp and this is what Boris Corp does they not it’s not the first time and I promise you it’s not going to be the last time but he he has his values and his values are you know Comfort um his family winning like these are the things that are important to him he did truly enjoy his time as a New York Yankee he enjoyed hitting in front of Aaron judge that was a very very very pleasurable experience for him and he would like to continue playing with the New York Yankees all things being equal enough right facts correct but if what Dr V is saying right if it does get to that point where it’s like yeah but if I can get more like let me just see or whatever if it’s about that then no I’m I’m right there with Pete and I and you guys have heard me say this before I mean those of you who are new might be the first time but I want players that want to play for the Yankees I want players that enjoy putting on that Jersey and I get it not everybody’s going to get that right not everybody’s going to understand that there’s fans of other teams that love to throw shots at Yankees fans and say oh you guys it’s not the Yankees of the past bro nobody cares about the Legacy nobody cares about whatever signing Juan sto to me though does kind of put those people in the corner for a second it’s going to put those people in the quiet available in free agent agcy and they always go to their press conference sit there and say well you know I I I wanted to be a Yankee I reveled in the opportunity to put on this jersey you can’t keep saying it doesn’t mean anything when the people playing the game keep proving you wrong and that’s why it does mean something to me I want guys who want to be here who want to put on the Jersey who want to do it for the fan like me those are the players that I want but if there’s a a player out there that’s like well I’ll go to the Yankees if they give me the most money [ __ ] that guy like I don’t I don’t on my team you’re a you’re not you’re not doing it for the right reason in my opinion now am I a proponent of people getting their money and whatever I I want everybody in the world to stuff like that the Cubs like there’s teams that have it the San Francisco Giants there’s lore there’s Legacy there’s a respect [ __ ] they a dynasty not that long ago yeah like they offer things that have that that are outside of baseball outside of money there are other things that are offered but and to me when you’re talking about those franchises P it can’t just be about money it can’t there’s a reason why you know freaking Alex Rodriguez even after the way everything ended between him and the Yankees till this day publicly is the most Pro Yankee guy you see out there because it more than a lot of people but more you know it’s funny he was a little more biased than Derek Jeter was you would expect je would be bias he was way more bi like it wasn’t even it wasn’t even comparable at the All-Star break and Jeter said n Philly and Baltimore yeah immediately he said Philly and Baltimore as everybody knows um MLB network is on right now and I do got a quote from John Haymon uh thank you a club but he did say say he believes the Yankees do have the slight advantage to sign stto is the most recent update and that is what is being said right now I think somebody in the chat also mentioned something that Mark D Roa said he thinks the Mets so and he apparently I don’t know I don’t want to quote Mark the Roose on this if he did say it or didn’t say it but somebody else said that that he said something along the lines of the one year playing with the Yankees won’t mean anything which I would completely disagree with that that’s coming from a player he should know better than that in my opinion because a lot of a lot of playing for that club is you get that firsthand experience and you go everybody says that about the Yankees right yeah when you when you play for the Yankees just the the everything you get the clubhouse everything about it first class everything so and you saw what they did I find that hard to believe no no and I that’s I’m glad you brought that up because um one of my favorite things was um just you know seeing the renovations that they did coming into the season uh they really they revamped like the walkway when the players come in correct Cafe they did the cafe that they did they really like a lot of these things kind of fly under the radar when it’s the Yankees because it’s almost like expected but I feel like no man I mean when you hear the players that have been here speak about it everybody I’ve never heard a player throw a shot like you know what uh it’s actually not as first class as you would think it’s actually what like even players who haven’t had the best experience here you normally they just stay quiet because they don’t they can’t say anything negative so they don’t say anything but like anybody who’s been you know through here one Season Two Season a couple they all have said the same thing playing for the Yankees is first class all the way top to bottom whether you’re the biggest star on the team or a guy that’s on the like it’s first class you’re on the team it’s first class all the way I mean you see how it works because look at look at look at through throughout the playoffs the freaking world series they they freaking rented out a was like a 747 Delta freaking liner for players friends and family MH an entire plane there’s one more update uh from John hayon this one you guys are gonna like a lot more he also says that the Yankees currently are more confident than every other team this is what I have been told like the last two to three days um I’ve been telling Francis this as I get it um literally that’s what I was told that you know wait the Yankees they’re very very confident where they are right now they think they’re going to get them uh then he adds this though the Mets feel like they’re in the middle of the pack and the Red Sox don’t feel good at all so that’s rather intriguing I mean it’s it’s again take whatever you hear you believe what you want to hear we’re not here to tell you what to believe but all I’m telling you is what Insider John hayon is saying on emble be Network right now that is an additional you know what’s right there now but it’s interesting though because now that it feels like the the contract announcement is is eminent yeah even the way that haymon’s speaking is not so much like his comments at re lately haven’t been like oh he’s trying to get this team to up this offer or that team I think that the offers are where they are now and I think like I I don’t I think the bidding in term I think the bidding is done that’s where I’m at that’s what I gather I’m not saying who won the bidding who whatever what I judge what I take away from these comments is the bidding portion is over I think it’s it’s a I agree with that it’s Soo decision time and or could be minor tweaks yeah I think it tweaks maybe we’re not talking exactly like could be like hey this that you know op out here instead of op out years exactly exact I’m not comfortable with three or I’m not comfortable with fifth year I want it to be the third or the fourth year it could be little things like that yeah I’m I’m with you I’m with you there could 1,00% still be some need for tweaks on on a it’s 15 a 15year contract is not easy to hammer out the details there’s a lot of [ __ ] involved there incentives too yep really quickly I just have you pause right there because we’re play it here’s John H live on tonight uh John paint the picture give us your thesis on Juan soda where does it stand right now well we’re still waiting we still have the five teams counting the Los Angeles Dodgers in there but certainly Toronto Boston and the two New York teams the Yankees and the Mets the incumbent Yankees you know looking feeling it in the lobby going talking to people Yankees seem a little a little more confident than some of the other teams Boston a little bit less confident than some of the other teams Mets kind of in the middle right now we do believe the Mets are somewhere in that 710 to 730 million range and the Yankees perhaps just a little bit below them I think the Yankees feel they have a little bit of an edge a little bit of an edge uh having been a team with woto for last year and he had a fantastic season they got to the World Series thanks to him 989 Ops 40s something home runs I mean he had a great year he seemed to enjoy it terrifically and I do think Aaron judge plays in this pretty big as long as the Yankees are very close to the Mets and the other highest bids uh he loved loved batting in front of Aaron judge and he loved the clubhouse led by the captain judge are are you prepared to rule out the Dodgers and the Blue Jays I I never want to rule anybody out at this point I I’ll say that they’re wild cards at this point I would say you know if we’re going to give a favorite we’re probably going to look at New York one or the other uh the Dodgers I mean I’m sure we would love to be a Dodger and in fact when they had the meeting I believe the Dodgers told him that the lineup would be Otani first stto second Betts third Freeman fourth that’s something to think about for Juan sto to be on a super team like that and he he didn’t have to hear that to know that they are a super team so if they get really close and at this point we have not heard that they are we we know they’re over 600 million but I don’t think they’re that close to 700 million if they get pretty close I mean they could be a major factor in this I is this narrative Fair the New York Mets will offer the most money he might not sign there but the New York metch will offer the most money for wotto you know I’m not 100% sure of that I think the blue J’s Deep Pockets as well certainly highly motivated I would not be shocked if they offered the most money I’ll be a little surprised if he doesn’t go to one of the New York teams at this moment but you never know what can happen so the Dodgers have the wherewithal a great team uh the Blue Jays are motivated the Red Sox on the come they have a terrific farm system a great manager would be a great for me there positives with every team and probably a negative or two the only negative with the Dodgers is that they’re trailing by quite a bit in terms of the money now they have made a serious offer over 600 million but they’re quite a bit behind as far as we know at this point you know if they catch up I mean I would not rule them out so I’m not ruling anybody out at this point but I think just from the lobby talk um you know I think people will be a little bit surprised if he’s not a New York player at the end of this yeah I mean I I agree with that that last part there 150% and again it’s something we’ve been saying for a long time is if he did go somewhere else I that would shock me that that would shock me man uh uh you know that that would absolutely shock me if he went somewhere outside of New York I said the only other place I would have I would I could see is Boston Los Angeles would shock me a little bit I guess it really shouldn’t because they’re kind of doing things like this shocking people it’s kind of what what the Dodgers have been doing for a while Toronto would really surprise me that would be like why like all right so you did go to the at that point that would have that’s a money move in my opinion like if Toronto somehow did get him I like look brother they they offer me more than way more than anybody so than that yeah for sure other than that I I don’t I don’t see um anything else like that but Hot stove’s on now man winter meetings are officially under way guys you know how we got it over here at to you baby so it’s winter meeting time man things are going to start picking up I think you’re maybe less than 24 hours away from a SoDo decision if not maybe a little bit longer than that considering it’s only you know 718 here on the East Coast um but I expect a decision I I can’t see it where the winter meetings will go by and the sto deals not done because again this is a moment that Scott Boris wants he wants this moment so he wants this news I wouldn’t be shocked if they if like Francis said they they know everything already and they’re just waiting and they’re gonna say you know what let’s hit that winter meeting hard together everybody fly in and boom we get that one out the way um obviously they’ll have the presser in New York you would assume because everybody been waiting for the Jersey moment yeah he already wore it but we got to see that you know we got to see that again that he didn’t do the press conference he wore the jersey correct but and and again he had the zoom call that we were all pissed about but again stroke a genius though if you’re if you’re Scott Boris putting that call into to WAN and saying look uh probably a really exciting moment for you you just got traded to the New York Yankees I get it um I’d be super stoked just like you uh best thing you can do for yourself and your Market going forward though don’t fly to New York for a press conference right now don’t do that agreed it’s and and and he why the why is because it makes them that much more motivated to go after you next year because those those moments may not mean you know that much to some fans or whatever but organizationally they mean a lot and those are kind of those are kind of Victory lap moments for an organization so uh yeah I think I think that’s big I think having you know Boris at at a desk with Hal boony and Cashman and him there and his suit and tie getting up and putting on that Jersey is going to mean the world to whatever organization ends up with him but uh if you’re gonna if you’re going off of what uh the Tea Leaves of John Hayman are kind of leaning towards right now it sounds like it’s sounds like Yankees to me it it sounds that’s what it sounds like um I mean it it it s it sounds a lot like again you know what what we’ve been preaching here at the U I mean I mean what we’ve kind of what we’ve been saying the whole time and again I’m not asking um I’m not asking uh I’m not asking anybody to believe what comes out of our mouth like what whatever we say is you got to take it as the gospel nobody’s saying that you can believe whatever you want you don’t have to listen to us um I’m just saying that we we have been on this for quite some time with who it is now have you know I haven’t again haven’t spoke numbers or this is going to happen but we’ve been telling you guys for a minute and now is it guaranteed I don’t know we’re going to find out but soda loved New York I mean he love beyond beyond playing on the field there things that obviously we we’re not going to talk about but he loved New York absolutely adored New York we have League NBA NFL you know MLB I’m I’m that good I’ll make it but to say you’re going to make it there and make it to one of the biggest markets and be the guy in that big Market is that’s that’s fantasy stuff right there and and um I saw someone in the chat say oh you know it is John Heyman and remember the whole arson judge thing here’s uh my my push back on that and I’m not really in the business of Defending you know any any of the the reporters or the Insiders out there um in terms of this though it’s it’s different uh Boris didn’t represent Aaron judge correct so when it when it came to the Aaron judge Saga and all of that Haymon was probably as in the dark as anyone else really he had about as as much information as anybody else out there so the arson judge thing was a was a a bad tip that he got and you know he got exposed for it but hey can I also say that I got the same tip if anybody was live with me I announced it yeah I announced it so I got the same exact thing and literally five no matter of fact I got it before Heyman I said it five minutes before him I’m like oh my God like I literally just got a mess and judge is going to San Francisco going to San Francisco so if I was a major reporter I could have been John Heyman right there the same situation and to to everybody’s credit on that Brian Cashman did say he thought he was going to the Giants yeah until Hal made that call he was expecting that judge was going to go to the Giants so again and for all you know easy to take shots it’s easy to take shots at a reporter from met Miss it’s very easy but it’s not an easy you go based off of the word of others whether they’re you know sometimes of course you get it from the agent you go okay that’s done but sometimes you get some things that aren’t correct and that was a fact Aaron judge could have very easily went to the Giants that was the team he was gonna go to and that the the crazy thing is you know hayon he gets dragged on Twitter and stuff like that for it every year it’s it’s a thing now where people you know bring up the day it’s arson judge day and they they they kind of kill the guy for it if you followed the story since then though um Aaron judge has said it Hal steinbrener has said it Brian cash everybody has everybody’s confirmed it there was a moment in the Aaron judge negotiations where Aaron judge was like this close to being a San Francisco Giant that’s right this is a real thing that happened and in that moment when he was this close Hal picked up the phone in the 11th hour and did what he needed to do but there was a moment where he he was about to be a giant and I think that’s what Haymon got and got caught up in I think I think it’s different when it comes to sto because stto is a Boris client and Haymon is I’m not going to go out and you know do the you know what happened the other day on the radio that’s not what we do here at M I’m not going to do all that but I’m not saying you know he’s getting a cut or anything I’m not saying that but I will say he does seem to be a little bit more tapped in with Boris cor got 100% than the other inside I feel like that’s that I feel like that’s a very known thing though it’s like I mean I I said it even before that interview I’m not going to I was live a couple times like you know Scott and you know they got that that’s that’s Scott messaging everybody feels fact I don’t know if he talks to Scott directly I’m not saying he I’m say but he definitely he definitely had because here’s the thing whether or not because some people say okay but if that’s the case well how come he doesn’t always announce those signings or whatever listen who announces a signing who gets to announce the signing there’s a whole other ball game of politics that’s right that that has to do with that all right that’s right the player have say the agents have say the teams have say it’s a whole different thing so even if say for instance is true that you know Haymon is boris’s guy and whatever like that it’s really not even just up to Boris like in in the Juan sto sweep Stakes how do you know that it wasn’t already negotiated between stto and and uh and his agency that no no no I want to I want to do an Instagram announcement that’s right right you don’t know that or how do you know if at the table uh say say it’s say it’s the Yan or the Mets whatever the team isn’t at the table saying actually we would like this to be to be announced on one of our accounts before anybody yeah because we want we want the traffic to come this way we have something that we’re planning or whatever you don’t know uh so there’s a lot of politics that go into that and you can’t necessarily go with you know who breaks it all the time corre A lot of times we as fans we just wait for the confirmation of Jeff passing because you can never tell these days right right you know that Curry if Curry comes out and says you’re like yeah all right cool we we know that yeah if it’s a Yankee if it’s Yankee related and Curry says it’s done it’s done Curry’s not going to you know he’s he’s not in of reporting like rumors and [ __ ] you know this is this is one of those things where this may not even be a situation where anybody sits there and says um it’s imminent or he’s closing a decision we’re g to know tonight this might be a breaking news Juan sto has signed with blah blah
