rushing Tan’s going to say what’s wrong with this off rushing Jeffrey lurry heck yeah your birds gave up the ball twice in the first quarter only cost him a field goal that’s how good it was franchise setting 10 straight wins 12-2 on the season likely tied with Detroit for the best record in the NFL once Buffalo beats Detroit they’re thumping him right now Pittsburgh head coach Mike Tomlin said to his team last week on hardnox this road is about to get narrow and the Eagles just shove them to the shoulder on the way past driving a ronja warski style Hummer I might say they do not play the Lions until the NFC championship game they don’t play Kansas City until the Super Bowl should they get there they don’t play Buffalo until the Super Bowl should they get there so all we have to go on is a thumping of Baltimore a hang on win against Carolina and then I would say this is against this Pittsburgh team that’s a thumping that’s a beat down against when you win 2713 against the Pittsburgh Steelers who have the same Super Bowl aspirations by the way I wouldn’t mind seeing that in the Super Bowl the Battle of Pennsylvania that would that would be great and when you look at this Eagles team sure mistakes were they perfect throughout the game no Pittsburgh’s got a team as well Barrett Brooks what do you think of this win I mean it it it just goes to show you know we wanted passing we got passing we wanted a total Victory got a total Victory defense played well offense played well this is what you need we now have a little more um a little more confidence in Jake Elliot back with Jake Elliot he kicked good today to me this is just a complete win we needed to see this team do this now we can all relax a little bit and and no no we’re not going to relax you’re right you’re absolutely right in fact in fact you know if you look at Radio um it it’s going to be boring again this week and I like boring I like boring well it it won’t be ever entirely boring on the radio radio boring we want a little nitpick here in there jaws I well what makes it so special to me to win this game it was against the Pittsburgh Steelers that is a very good talented football team well coached by Mike Tomlin and his staff this is a huge game for them and they just got demolished from the opening kick off to the end of the game they got Dem M that last Drive was unbelievable absolutely unbelievable you you burned the last 10 minutes and 29 seconds you don’t give your opponent an opportunity to get the ball back and you’re down 14 points that is Total Domination start the three yd line start the three yd line and had a penalty on play so don’t get the ball back Total Domination of the Eagles offense defense and special teams as Barett said good C our kicker KN going through the upright again right right he’s back on track see Jake back on trackers we’re going to need him down the road Jake Jak good to see his SP very impressive to me domination against a really good football team by the Philadelphia Eagles Ruben Frank when you look at these now three straight wins and I know they’re on a 10 straight win bench but when you look at the last three and the UPS a little bit of a dip in the win last week and then today where are you on this team stock up yes yeah I mean this is impressive stuff the defense was unbelievable uh great in the Red Zone only gave up one touchdown um you know uh I was I was just impressed with every phase of this game we all had questions about the passing game uh what would it look like against a really good team when they had to throw the ball I mean Steelers don’t give you anything running the ball I thought the Eagles actually did pretty well they had 130 rushing yards against an elite run defense but the way Jaylen threw the ball the way Kellen called plays that really brought out the best in Jaylen he was firing the ball down the field he had seven completions of 20 yards and more three more of 16 or more so uh everything was going down the field he got Devonte involved finally he had a his best game of the year uh I just I just love the way they played in All Phases they overcame those early turnovers uh and the defense you know you talk about complimentary football we talk about that all the time and that’s what we saw here we saw the defense putting the offense in good position the offense putting the defense in good position and they worked well together and when when they’re doing that this is an impossible team you can’t beat the Eagles when they’re playing complimentary absolutely absolutely and with that we’ll get over to the link in just a few moments here from Nick serani Jaylen Herz everybody who helped the Eagles in this win they now have a franchise record 10 straight wins 12 and two which is absolutely incredible to think about the way they started and the way we were screaming over a two and two start well you were grumbling pal we all were grumbling you were screaming Micha but here’s the thing I obviously you got to win all the games in front of you you got to win the the playoff games in the NFC championship game but in particular Baltimore and Pittsburgh to beat them the way they did when they came up in the schedule that’s not a little thing Ruben is it these are these are the best of the tough physical defensive AFC teams uh they went down to Baltimore took care of them down there I thought that was a really impressive win to me this is their best win of the year what they did today against the Steelers team that’s won seven of their last eight yeah they’re not giving up anything their defense is Elite look they don’t have a lot of weapons with pickings out but uh it was a complete shutdown other than a couple plays that the Steelers hit uh a fle a Flea Flicker and maybe one other play the defense was unbelievable uh yeah I mean to me this is the kind of win that makes you feel really good about where they are going into these last few games and r two turnovers in the opening quarter I mean could that would kill a lot of teams twice we’re minus two in that first quarter they get three points out of it that goes to show from that point on it was Total Domination almost 40 minutes just under a tick under 40 minutes of Paul possession it’s great to have the ball in their hands other team ain’t going to score many points yeah it was it was just Total Domination I thought the biggest moment in this game was slay recovering that fumble there I mean they’re driving down uh to tie the game they’re inside the 30 there and they had all the momentum they just scored uh slay and look it’s not like the eagles forced the turnover but slle pounced on it slay played well today he’s been playing well yeah and uh you know and then they go down and drive down and it’s basically ball game that was basically it so that’s complimentary football right there defense gets the ball back hands it to the offense they drive down and score and make it a 14-point game you know it kind of put it kind of makes you rest easy not really necessarily rest easy but it it it makes you aware that are any way in any style of football you want to play this Eagles team can play you know they can keep their identity run the ball when they want to but now we see now that do have a passing game when they want to it it it just comes down to last week Jaylen had a bad game everybody has bad games sometimes well now we know he’s very consistent when he goes out there and and and and can push the ball down the field get the ball to his receivers we got Big Time Players on the outside we can run the ball when we want to it just makes us a totally complete team on the offensive side of the ball and the confidence now with Devonte Smith Brown it’s got to be through the sky you they weren’t getting many opportunities they weren’t getting opportun to catch the ball run with the ball you can see when they get the ball in space what a dynamic duo they are and I I thought Jaylen the numbers are great numbers are Absolut but I love what I saw in his game his ability to stay in the pocket Look Down the Gun Barrel stay in that back foot wait for receivers to come open but for the most part the play calling was outstanding the B he had that back foot and the ball was coming out in time he knew he was going with the football it was his best game and since I can remember I it’s been that long since he played a complete game like he played today love the defensive team hang on speaking of that let me take a look let us take a look at who took flight presented by our friends at Yingling and of course if you got a guy flinging it like Jaylen Herz you got to get have two guys catching it as did Devonte Smith and AJ Brown and my bold prediction Ruben you didn’t hear it cuz you were at the link I said 11 targets for AJ Brown to go with seven receptions he had eight but Devonte Smith had 11 on 12 targets 109 yards both had a touchdown and they both look great Jaws Barrett didn’t they oh they look absolutely amazing and and and you know you Ian talking about the play selection by more I mean having a little run pass option where they were throwing it out and as far as not giving to run but throwing it out to receiver I mean those are part of part of the targets that um that you know Devonte had also which turned into you know third and manageable you know just getting a ball out to them let them run out there in space just getting the ball to those weapons out in space is what they accomplish today and that was huge I I I noticed some creative plays inore in this game as well it was it was good to see CU he’s kind of been staying kind of basic kind of vanilla he opened up a little bit lot of little Flea Flicker type plays and for the most part they don’t have to work they just keep the defense honest and they did yeah Reuben I got some stats for you they’re they’re not quite rubenesque but they’re I I tried my best or Frank esque um first this is after the first quarter first down 7even nothing Eagles net yards 148 to2 average gain 8.2 to point2 time of possession 9:15 to 545 and then third Downs they didn’t have a Pittsburgh in the first quarter I thought I’m not a big fan of stats I don’t really you you’re not a stat guy but I’m sorry I loved how and jaylen’s been doing this during this whole streak where he’s he’s been aggressive without making mistakes but I thought he took that to another level uh today there was a third and six on that last drive there was they had a third and six on like the eight yd line and that’s a situate you remember the play and he just rears back and fires to Devonte for a first down you know how hard it is to make that throw in the soup kot youed to say we’re in the soup on your own seven yard line uh and he fires he was aggressive and he fired it and there was no hesitation uh you know that’s a place that’s part of the field where you turn it over there that’s big trouble you got to have the courage to make that throw you got the fans behind the goal post screaming and hollering you can hardly hear anything going on there and you make that throw it says it says a lot about where he’s at mentally right now exactly exactly right and that got that last Drive started that was a Hu that was my play of the game right there wi with regard to any change in game plan from last week was it just a matter of guys stepping up and realized that they had an off game last week or did they do something in particular Kell Moore and Company with the scheme with the I thought it just aggressive early where and look saquon’s been unbelievable he’s having an incredible Year I hope he gets the record first play of the game Grant calcatera 22 yards it was like a calling card of what to expect I thought finally he got jayen into a rhythm early in the game by throwing it more than they have I agree but they were all the other receivers were upset that it went to Cal I don’t don’t start something I’m just joking about that but I I did think it curious that it went to calcatera on the first play you’re not going to throw it to AJ Brown I think in the big picture what impressed me the most there are a lot of good things happened the physical domination the Pittsburgh Steelers have pride themselves for at least 50 years that I can remember on being a physically dominant football team running the football throwing the football and playing def they’ve always kind of been that way we just dominated them our offensive line was outstanding the defensive line was outstanding linebacker play was tremendous the hitting in the secondary was great and it was a complete win but he fit it’s you can’t say well they had a lucky bounce here they got a break there no that wasn’t the case we physically dominated the football team now you put that on tape right now the Washington commanders looking at tape they’re going oh my God we got a double chin strap game coming up next week CU this team is going to come out physically I’ll tell you what I think that physicality goes on to the offense too when you look and not just the o line but AJ and Devonte must be the most physical receivers Damonte is a little guy he’s 170 and he’s just steamrolling cornerbacks I mean it’s great to see in AJ we know how physical player he is but I don’t think Devonte gets enough credit for the physical nature of his game when he’s outweighed by every corner of safety by by 20 or 30 pounds um he doesn’t go down that first hit and you know look at this also there was some BS calls that were you know given you know like come on now I mean this could I mean any other team any other team it would have really had an effect on but I think we were just you know some some mature and and how we were approaching the game that we just going to stay physical stay with our game plan that it really didn’t bother us much but I didn’t like a lot of the calls that were being called on us I mean it was like you know Ticky Tac you got to find something complain about don’t you you know what come on we’ve got to look at this with a critical eye Jo we just can’t let people go and just write them let’s take a look at the standings okay because the Eagles and the Detroit Lions are both sitting the top the NFL with 12-2 records the Eagles have not clined the top spot in the NFC that can happen next week with a win and a lions loss they still need another Lions loss the Vikings got a chip in too they can they need a Vikings loss as well they can also clinch the NFC east by beating Washington next week could have done it today had Washington lost to New Orleans new orle went for two with no time left and they lost by one point they failed to get the two-point conversion so they’ll have to wait the next week and do with themselves at DC the Philadelphia Eagles and then Seattle and Tampa Bay are the other division leaders but when you look at the way things stand it’s pretty favorable for the Philadelphia Eagles isn’t it well I mean I’m saying I I I heard uh rub earlier on on radio um you know arguing about that they at least you know they’re going to be close and sitting in that second seed and second seed is not bad but we do have an opportunity with the first seed but I mean I don’t mind where we are I always think by week you you get you get a week off after going 17 games your body’s battered bang bruised and cuss you get a week off it’s like oh my goodness you’re freshing up so I think that I think getting that bye is crazy I I know it’s bye but I’m just saying that second seed you play at home and I I like things going through the link yeah I like things going through the link yeah and you know what they’re they’re very good on the road five- one six and five and one very good everywhere this is a damn good football te everywhere to go yeah it’s it’s portable as well it it certainly is Jake Elliott 5 in one now against winning teams I love that stat you mentioned Jake Elliot all of a sudden it was as uh you don’t go with stats though uh all of a sudden it was as if he never had The Yips at all he hit his extra points he hit his field goals and everything looked good what do you think got into him is he back well he’s just a good kicker whatever he was dealing with uh you know he’s got a good coach and in Tyler Brown and they got it figured out I mean he’s been too good for too long uh and look it was concerning I mean he been going for a little while he still hasn’t made a 50 yard this year but it’s not like you’re going to find anybody better on the street at this point season so you know Nick showed a lot of confidence in him and uh you know he made that 49 Y and then it got negated by a penalty I’m thinking all right now they have to kick again he’s going to miss it but squeeze it in took it off the took it off it’s tough when you take points off the board but uh look he’s guy made two huge kicks in a fourth quarter of a Super Bowl as a rookie so I I I have faith in him but yeah it was it was reassuring to see him make those k great to see Jake Elliott is back but you we are allowed to ask questions about Jaylen herz’s game Jos can’t we a little bit he was sa okay he was s how about this Jaws he was sacked three times to what degree was that the line and to what degree was that Jaylen hers JN I believe on two of them he was holding the football too long another one he got flush from the pocket okay TJ watt actually beat John to much and getting getting Chip help from calcatera and he beat him so that that was not on J DJ watt the obviously the size and the power but the speed is amazing well he’s he’s a Manchild you know so sometimes you get the bear sometime the bear gets you TJ watt is just a good player I mean period he’s I mean he’s one two three as far as defensive player the year every year you know so sometimes he’s going to do that you know we we’ve got our Titan too you know Lane Johnson’s you know one of the Premier tackles in the league so them going backl you know back and forth those was a lot of snaps that he played one-on-one against Lane Johnson you know so I’m not mad if he gave up two sacks because we’re about the entirety of a game that’s a lot of reps they had the ball a long time um you know against them so him and TJ were going at it for the entirety of that game so I think you know he won the matchup period he won the match up uh and to to uh keep the Steelers to 13 points seems to meant they didn’t have Pickins which is a they’re their playmaker their explosive player they they got a bunch of guys named Joe right now football they don’t have anyone that really scares anybody that was to our advantage but by the way what what you make of the Skirmish in the in the first half where they kind of got into it quinan Mitchell was involved that’s tough football that’s tough football got blocked into the stands 300 lb tight end blocked into the stand you don’t touch my guy that’s I’m saying you I’m I’m going to fight too you know especially with they’re trying to impose their will on me no I’m not letting that happen so of course they going to fight like that two Titans going out there battling like that you want that physicality yeah you know what I mean you want that physicality you know what shocked me was they didn’t call personal foul usually they call it on both teams no matter what happens right they actually just called it on on them Mike Tomlin was not happy about that if I was reading his lips correctly yeah I think a game like this you’re going to have penalties just both teams are so physical they play on the edge and I like that kind of football right Pittsburgh has not won here since 1965 that’s a long long time and we finally beat Wilson yeah how about Wilson point Thank You Barrett he was 6-0 against the Philadelphia Eagles coming into today’s game they get their first win against danger his ass home packing home Boye this is our state this is our state period St state champ we state champ we don’t have it we don’t have it yet we have to win about six more games want the state CH you want the state championship yeah yeah we all get the governor call the Governor Mike let’s go to maybe you’ll stop by posting he doesn’t like the traffic oh he didn’t have to worry about TR Devonte Smith what a game he had here he is post game in the locker room I know last week you were a little upset about the passing game what what turned it around today uh just being on same page how’d you get there um constantly just talking through things um knew what the defense was going to give us made a few adjustments and just roll with it the third Downs what what was so big on those um I think it was like it was like couple two every third down so just knowing what they were in I’m sure you guys thought that it would be a game where you have to pass like this is it feel pretty good that you’re were able to to make it happen when you um yeah I mean we we always knew that that it was going to come a time where we need to rely on throwing the ball and um you know it happened and we were there to answer way Jay stepped up today um I mean have the all the confidence in them we know that can happen um it was just a matter of you know getting that one team that just wanted to stop the run and wanted us to win the game through through the air were they were they doing extra additional to stop the run um yeah um the way that they play defense they add a lot of guys into to the box and things like that so we knew that coming in yeah you had a you a lot of stuff over the middle Crossing routes um was that just a comat their man defense um yeah and like I said we just knew what they were in so just you know taking what they give us to win in many different ways offensively now at this point coming back from last week to this what state is this offense right now um I think really just whatever we have to be um we have to be a team that’s going to you know run the ball however many times we’re going to do that team that’s going to have to throw about how many times we’re going to do that so whatever it takes to win I feel like this team is going to do it does that give you a lot of confidence knowing that you guys can do it either way uh the confidence was always there it was just a matter of you know getting opportunity to show it to do it how big was Kenny Tonight third down big time man a lot of respect for Ken and things that he do um you know coming in when he do come in he he makes plays all the time U the big third down conversion that he had um I mean can’t say enough about kennyon this is uh your combined most targets that you and AJ have gotten this entire season um and what does that say about the fact that when you guys do get the ball good new to happen um I think it just came down to you know like I said we knew we were going to have to throw the ball and we did that and um we were ready forward we was ready for the challenge we was ready to uh make those plays and um it was just a lot of communication going on we all on the same page can you can you take us inside the building like at least maybe um this past week when you guys saw you know deers figured out that this was going to be a big part of the the game plan and obviously everything going on about whether the past game can play at this level um I mean we didn’t treat it like any other like it was just like the same as any week so we just went in um you know we kind of expected like I said they were going to try to stop the run um we like I said we just waiting on opportunity Von you said you guys got a chance to show it that you can do it how important or is that important this late in the season to show the league that you can do um I don’t think you have to prove nobody but yourself prove yourself right so um like I said we got the opportunity we knew we can do it we went out there and did it and um you know we we did a good job no matter what it is we have to do we’re ready for the challenge when you look at these last when you look at these last two weeks though isn’t it kind of like how powerful this offenses you can win one week with the running game then come back with the passing game I mean you you can do it on both ends of it right um yeah it’s great when you have a team that can do that and um you know we we we plan on contining to build on that how good does it win feel like this after all that noise that was happening outside of the building this week um I don’t think the noise affected us we knew what was going on it was never a problem um so you know it was just normal week for us after last were you page tonight said on the same page last said how did you get on the same page um just constant communication um constant communication talking through things you know talking about what we see and things like that were you confident that you guys will be able to do that in a week to figure it out yeah like I told you last every week is different last week we just happened not to be on the same page this week we was so you have to treat every week differently and you know treat every week as one what goes into that being able to evaluate yourself see what you need to work on and address those um a lot of tough conversations um have those uncomfortable conversations with each other and I think that’s why this team is so close and that’s what make this team so good everybody can have those uncomfortable U conversations with each other and nobody feel no type of way what’s the that about J um taking what the defense gave him um we knew what we were going to get we were constantly talking throughout the game and that’s what we talked about you know we know they’re going to play this cover let’s just take what they give us um get the ball to us and we’re going to we’re going to do the RIS with those uncomfortable conversations how do you guys get to a point where you can have them it was always there to have those conversations there was never a time we couldn’t have those conversations never a time we could not have those conversations says Devonte Smith what kind of conversations tough kind conversations when afterward no one felt according to Devonte any type of way and it seems to have come to pass that that’s the truth because certainly there was an issue between Jaylen Herz and AJ Brown they talked about it and it’s it looks like it’s solved by what we saw
