welcome back everyone my name is Patrick you’re watching the Oilers rundown here to get you ready for tonight’s 800m start against the New York Rangers at Rogers Place a very snowy day here in Edmonton so if you’re headed to the game get down there early we do have some roster news for you guys so let’s go over everything here the Edmonton Oilers going with a new look lineup NJ McDavid and kaet will be the new top line for the Edmonton Oilers pod koulen dry Sidle and Connor Brown will make up the second line Jeff Skinner Adam Henri and Matias Yanmar will make up the third line and Drake gajula Derek Ryan and Cory Perry will be on the fourth line there was 6D on the ice Evan Bard was not on the ice for Oilers morning skate so not entirely sure what’s going on there Tony brow did report that he’s 5050 for tonight’s hockey game so I’m not sure if he’s battling injury or illness so we may see Evan buer tonight but the big news on defense is that Darnell nurse is officially ready to go so the Oilers will have some combination of the following 7D possibly Evan Bard Matias akol will be in Darnell nurse will be in Brett kulak Tai emberson will be in and I imagine if Evan Bard is ready to go one of Troy stetcher or Travis dermit will come out of the lineup so let’s see what happens there but we do know also that Stuart Skinner will be the starting goenda 10 meetings with the Rangers and Jeff Skinner leads all active Oilers in career goals with 52 and points with 31 versus the New York Rangers so hopefully it’s a good one guys like I said it’s the last one before a 5-day break here before taking on Utah next Friday so really hope the boys can close it out with a victory here tonight huge having Darnell nurse back in the lineup hopefully he’s feeling okay I’m sure he is otherwise the Oilers wouldn’t risk putting him in but hopefully he can have a positive impact on that defense we’ll see what happens with Evan Bard here like I said he’s 5050 for tonight not sure if it’s injury or illness if it’s injury he does have the five day break coming up here to recover and illness same rules apply there as well so at least they have the five-day break here with all the injuries the Oilers are paddling Victor arvidson Zack Heyman remaining out EV Bard 5050 they’ve got Darnell nurse back but the Oilers certainly have enough problems to contend with right now there’s questions on goal tending questions on defense we had the John Gibson speculation yesterday with the Anaheim Ducks some McKenzie Blackwood speculation uh David Ur with the Columbus Blue Jackets is in entering the rumor mill here again as well we talked about him the other day but apparently the Oilers have a lot of interest in him so we may see some changes here over this F day break here for the Evington Oilers I don’t know if they’re going to pull the trigger on any kind of trade might depend on how well they play tonight how the team looks but they may just wait it out as I’ve said a few times too with all of their injuries so could be an interesting upcoming 5 days here for the Edmonton Oilers let’s wait and see what happens but for tonight let’s hope the boys can put together a strong effort and close out this little first part of the season with a victory over the New York Rangers so I think that’s all I have for now guys let me know your thoughts on the lineup for tonight do you think the boys pull out a win let me know your thoughts in the comment section below if this is your first visit to the channel and you like what you see please consider liking and subscribing for all the latest Oilers content you’ve been watching the Oilers fanatic thanks for being a fan [Music]
