[Music] so here we are it is Monday December 9th on a nice and eh decently cloudy Vancouver afternoon and we have ourselves some updates from Elliot fredman in regards to the Canucks as well as a few extra things that we could go out there and talk about too now I did also want to go over some four nations Faceoff news not too sure if we’ll enough time to get to it but today we’re going over to Buck fosten and their Twitter account because what they did was they transcribed a lot of the extra quotes from fredman broadcasts earlier this morning and because it’s a Monday there’s a lot to go over there are a lot of interesting things and these are some pretty positive updates I would say so let’s go out there and read some of the tweets made by Buck foston according to Elliot fredman earlier this morning sometimes what you publicly say doesn’t match what you have to say behind the scenes in the JT Miller case it’s true Nappa okay no we’re not doing that sorry it’s true Canucks have told teams in private they are not going to trade JT Miller and it’s a small update I would say but it’s a very very good one it’s true it’s damn true how the Vancouver connects do have a plan with JT Miller how they are willing to bring him back and they’re not looking at this leave of absence or whatever as a situation where it’s like oh his character is vulnerable we don’t know if he’s going to be available for us so we got to trade him oh we’re going to tell the media that he’s okay and that we’re going to keep him but we’re actually secretly tossing him around in trade talks no it’s not like that they are being truthful here Elliot fredman at the very least is the spokesperson of this idea and I guess you can say that fredman is just a human being if the Vancouver connects trade JT Miller to the Rangers for Chris krider or whatever if that happens tomorrow then I think it would catch everybody by surprise including Elliot fredman himself so I’m going to put a lot of thought into what free is going out there and saying and believe internally that the Vancouver connects are not shopping JT Miller there is no trade talks going on here maybe teams are calling about him like the Rangers were already confirmed who apparently asking about him on the phone but Patrick Alvine and Jim Rutherford and everybody else involved is like no we’re not trading him like everything we’re saying publicly we St stand by him we are giving him time and space to breathe we are allowing him to do his own thing we are not up his beeh trying to beg him to come back it’s all going to plan and we are not going to trade this dude good move now you also had yourselves a paraphrased fredman quote from Bach foston saying that the Canuck’s plan is to get everyone back so JT forbort Demco and then decide how to proceed with trades and the direction of the team this season this of course aligns with some of the earlier thoughts we had heard about the Vancouver kxs because with their injuries to besser and to Demco and to forbo and I guess now you could say Philip pronic the koks are in a pretty vulnerable spot okay they needed more defense without chronic they’ve got Myers julson and whomever else on the right side de har with forbo out you have Eric brunstrom playing extra minutes you’ve got Quinn Hughes playing 30 minutes a night when everybody is back the team will be better and at that point it will be the time to decide where they could go and what options they might explore I think you know it’s actually fairly good to have the season play out the way it has because now it’s like okay what if in the playoffs JT Miller is out what if in the playoffs thater Demco is out now you know you’ve got Kevin lanin in now you know Eric brunstrom is an available actually good hockey player now you know that Susi can actually start to hold his own now you know Noah julson can play well sometimes now you know these things so you don’t necessarily have the best roster on the ice at all times throughout the regular season because once the playoffs come and guys get beat up maybe Dakota Joshua misses a game maybe roock Breer misses a game maybe Alias Pon goodness forbid misses a game especially now since he’s playing really well when you have these extra guys that need to come into the lineup you know what you got and you know because of that that what you need to address what other areas there are of the team that you need to take a look at before everything hits the wall before teams get desperate to make trades I’d been saying this this entire past week or so but I feel like a lot of trade speculation and trade talk has really percolated in the past few weeks here and it’s a lot more compared to this time last year or two years ago etc etc generally we start to see trade talk around January but now it started late November and we’re even see being trades go down too Jacob trouba was traded you had the Canadians and the Oilers making a trade you had Mackenzie Blackwood and Alexander gorv get traded earlier today there’s a lot of trade activity and so for Vancouver to kind of be in the mix there not really assert themselves super definitively like Hey we’re going to make a trade right now but to just have this plan let everything play itself out once the team is healthy once they play a few games with a healthy team which will take a few weeks because Phil honic out for 2 months one that comes around then it’s like okay now we can evaluate the trade deadline’s in March so there’s a lot of time here Philip pronic I guess you could maybe make some judgments as to how he plays when he’s in the lineup and you could probably conclude he’s a Topline guy so you kind of have to wait a little bit longer for him if you wanted to execute your trade plan but hey in the meantime you got Miller coming back forbo who knows what’s happening with him when thco suits up soon which is probably going to be maybe even as soon as tomorrow then you got your ideas and it’s pretty pretty good let’s scroll down onto another tweet made by Buck foston going over to team USA’s GM Bill Garen he spoke about speaking with JT Miller JT is a wonderful guy he’s a high-end competitor a high-end player Garen does not know the specifics of what JT is going through but he does know when you need a leave of absence what you need is support people behind you and in your corner and that is what Team USA is Tim as a Canadian dude looking on the outside Team USA in any capacity whether it’s the nttp team or the u8 team or any of the world championship teams or the Olympic teams Team USA kind of feels like a cult maybe that’s just sort of the culture that has been brought upon from other sports like I think with football culture and college football culture especially it’s a pretty culty thing so nice to see the Team USA has got JT Miller back I don’t really know why I said that to be honest it’s just kind of the way that I feel about watching American Sports and the fandoms that exist over there so USA Hockey probably in that same boat but to end this video off I wanted to go out there and talk about another Elliot fredman update in regards to this same four nations Faceoff tournament let’s go out there and read this article posted on hockey latest.com by Tyler ball Elliot Freedman reveals that one player was blacklisted from their four nations Faceoff team due to character concerns fredman reported this afternoon that one player was told he had not made his country’s four nations Faceoff team I heard there was one player that when he was told he didn’t make the team reacted so negatively that the team decided they won’t even bring him as an injury replacement if it gets to that I was like wow that’s pretty serious stuff while fredman did not reveal the player he said that player crossed the line and Team Management felt it was too far and have now blacklisted him from being selected to the team even as an injury replacement they were shocked at how or I don’t know if shocked they were disappointed at how negatively the player reacted fredman said that’s a tough one for me I don’t know exactly what was said I don’t know if they considered it open disrespect or whatever it was but I don’t think I would cross that line now four nations right four teams there are only Canada Finland Sweden USA we don’t know what team this player was on we don’t know how he reacted in particular but we do know that there was a player that does exist whose response to not being placed on his team was so negative that the team itself is like okay we’re not even going to think about you anymore even if some of our guys get injured like response was so negative we don’t even want to think about your personality being in this locker room and being on this team so I do kind of question where it’s coming from speculation couldn’t tell maybe it’s a Canadian dude because I’d say out of all the teams that have players it’s the two North American teams especially that have the most snubs possible and even in this article I mean there’s a tweet made by sportset of notable emissions from Team Canada lafranier badar duchaine barzal celebrini Suzuki Robert Thomas Stam Coast Tom Wilson this list doesn’t even include Bo Horvat and maybe a person from Team Canada went out there and was pretty pissed off that they didn’t make the team because we know that team Canada was calling players to say hey sorry you’re a good player but you didn’t make the team Nick Suzuki didn’t receive a call because they’re pissed off at him but it is still interesting to hear the Dynamics that one player at least that’s eligible for this tournament was blacklisted by his Squad whether that be a Swede a Finn a Canadian or an American so let me know your thoughts in the com section below about these Elliot fredman updates about the JT Miller trade talk as well as how some unknown player was blacklisted from their four nations faceof team even with the news of an injury potentially being there so thoughts in the comment section below I hope you enjoyed this sp99 and bye [Music] [Music]
