seven teams in the top 20 go down today Nicole what was most surprising it was Alabama okay you’re talking about doing things that they haven’t done in a long time there were a lot of historical firsts when you talk about some of the losses they’ve had this season against unranked opponents we spent the week hearing about the rigers of the SEC and these two lost teams and how they can get a bunch of them in and then they go out there against a five and5 Oklahoma team and lay an egg and that was a dominant win by Oklahoma so that one was shocking to me because they had a clear path they were penciled in and for sure going to be in the bracket I’m with you I mean I looked at Alabama and I mentioned earlier today I felt like they were a team that was rounding into form certainly didn’t happen for them the most surprising to me though was one of the highlights we just did Texas A&M going down to Auburn it’s an Auburn team that hasn’t done very much well over the last couple years the second Conference win for them they’re 14th in the SEC and we were looking at Texas A&M as a team where it’s like kind of lurking right there they’ve got that big Showdown and and of course everything’s still in view for them but my goodness to lose right before your rivalry game I’m shocked Mike Elco did say that he wasn’t looking ahead to Texas but he meant Auburn in the tong we should know but that was a tough one that was a shot okay as for the talk I I’m I’m done with the talk I want to see the projective brackets you guys show me what this cfp looks like as you guys forecast it currently taking a look at your brackets all right we cook this up for you Jordan and for our audience now this is tough right because we did lose a lot of teams that were in the bracket last week with the cfp ranking so you’ll see Boise State still the fourth ranked conference Champion so they get a buy we’ve got Arizona State in there as the Big 12 champ as the 12 seed but Joshua I think we both feel pretty good about Notre day maybe jumping Penn State now with the way that they’ve been playing and then SMU getting into the field now yes and and SMU has been one of those teams that’s just continued to play really good football had that early loss of BYU but have really come into form Notre Dame has been dominant against their competition and I know people will say who have they played well you could ask that when it’s when it’s Alabama taking on Oklahoma and they lose that game so uh we should definitely keep that in consideration I think the interesting thing about this exercise we looked and said who are the best teams Oregon Ohio State and after that it feels like a bit of a question mark it does although I think I trust Notre Dame more than I trust a lot of the other teams here I I think Georgia’s a big winner today because they should be able to slide up and possibly be in position to host a first round game now actually and play for a buy because they’ll be in the SEC Championship game as well they’re not behind the teams they lost two anymore because they picked up their third losses is Notre Dames rise if you will JP because of how they’ve looked in this nine game winning streak outscoring opponents 392 to 99 yes and I think the other part about it too we know it’s better to lose early in this format but I was on a team that took a a horrible loss at home we went on to win a championship Flex you figure out exactly who you are and what your standards are as a program and Notre Dame has figured those things out no question Champions have to respond it’s been a champion response to this point for the Irish
