at the bottom scrapping to get away from the bottom three and I mean this is a tough game for Everton Mike but first of all nothing in Forest got to take your hat off to you know the spirito Santo the Holy Spirit um he’s done a great job so far and Forest are absolutely flying AR they oh super AR they let’s let’s have it right it’s um yeah to go from the jump from last season to this season is incredible um and you know on the previous shows you saw of discussed I think they’re basically a good version of us the you know the style of play they’re pretty pretty defensive play low block but they got pace and that’s the major difference they got Pace on the wings um and they’ve got a striker bang in form who knows how to put the ball in the net so yeah look they’re hard to score goals against predominantly and they’re you know they’re pce on on the attack so they’re doing um they’re doing unbelievable we were just looking wa we they’ve H got what two points less now than they had the whole of last season they’ve actually got more points now than they finished last season cuz obviously they had more points deducted so but you’re right they won 36 points last season and they’re on 34 already and they haven’t even played half a season yet so if they were to win a good on Sunday that’ll be their 19th game of the season they’d have 37 points so they amassed more than they got in the entire season last season I think morning if they went on Sunday they’d probably be safe I’ll be honest don’t expect no what I’m saying is what I’m saying is the the three promoted sides been consistent so no point changing now I don’t see any of the three getting 30 points or more there go Forest the safe already and I’m not even at Christmas that’s crazy um listen they’ve been outstanding Greg my mate M and ped mate Big Forest fan top man he’s he’s just living on cloud n at the moment he he can’t believe it he said when we done the overlap in August he was like I just don’t not in a relegation battle we can just be a clear well he’s having the time of his life he won at anfield he won at Old Trafford he went up the only team to win at brenford and they just be for the only team that’s beaten Liverpool and now can we play you every week Forest can you going play Liverpool a few more times this season please um and the you’re right the the real got a real solid base but they’re they’re so quick on the break hoods and a do you know scores that goal all the time he show he comes on the inside and just bends it in yeah alanga on the other side pce to ban took his Anderson and yayu really hard as him field they’ve got Millo at the back who everyone’s looking at you know makes Rondon shorts look like nickers Millo cuz he’s got the biggest sh in well football looks like he can’t run but he’s hell of a footballer and I don’t think he’s 21 22 something like that so and sell’s the keeper who I know you’re you’re a big you know as an ex goalkeeper yourself he’s he’s done really good for themselves hasn’t he so just a just got a really good Workman like it’s all clicking isn’t it great on the break and i’ had some brilliant away results and they come to gooders expecting to win I think I do I look at I think they’ll come and think these are fourth fifth from bottom we’re third in the league if I was if the rols were red I’d expect if we were going on the city ground and we were third and they were fifth from bottom I’d be looking at this G this would be another Victory and we we should beat this yeah yeah I think it’s a diff really difficult game for dice to set up again M because these don’t want possession and neither do we so it’s it’s going to be it’s going to be tough to sort of see how we how we’re going to set up you know they how they play what they’re good at is everything we do but a little bit better um you know the strong at the moment I’m try I’m trying to be positive I’m trying to be positive look the the the strong on set plays and the counter attacking team you know they they don’t boss The Possession stats um so it’s going to be difficult cuz the emphasis is going to be on on us to to get on the front foot and like we’ve seen it a few a few times other than really the the Wolves game is if it doesn’t really work in the first 10 15 minutes we we rever back to you have the ball and and but it’s it’s going to be a case of driving us forward and after the run of games that we’ve had so far the results that we’ve had good points against really difficult sides they’re only good points if we can win this game m so there’s real sort of impetus on on this and I think for the manager there’s there’s big pressure like you say three games in 171 and8 since December the 16th 2023 it we’ve got to start winning games of footballers three points for a win and one for a draw for a reason and you know we we’ve got to start put putting it on teams at home we really really need to and it’s got to start now you absolutely right with s are possession I mean just looking at the stats from forest last game against space yesterday said 70% possession Tottenham had 13 attempts at goal to 10 and Forest beat them one n you know I want to think the N A Team like you just said they’re not a team that dominates the ball at all um they’re a team that works really hard in what they do looking at them you know the last away game they went to brenford and won 2-0 they had 36% possession but they had 10 attempts of goal to seven but backto back clean sheets for them and when you look at it like that they it is it’s a head scratch it for us because we’re not someone who who wants the ball as the home team and as a home side that’s wooding because we too often at home give the ball up which is which I think is the reason why we don’t win many games um because we don’t have Pace on the break so I think if you want to be a counterattacking side there’s no problem sort of playing that way if you’ve got blister and Pace because it get results doing it like that but we haven’t we generally at home have been we don’t want the ball and Al we’re going to do is knock it long to calv L and hope that we get a free kick or a corner because we don’t create chances and there is a conness for the manager cuz these are a really good side they’ve got Bigg W WIS like have just driled off anfield Old Trafford you know the G te you know going and getting a great result there when no one else has things like that you’ve got to Forest have struggle when teams have have been flying at them and have got goals against them they they you know like the like a city at the ET got a head against them and things like that and you know Arsenal at the em but these are top sides have done it so it’s going to be tricky for us um I think Dwight mcneel a lot will rest on his shoulders if he’s fit he’s obviously got a knee injury he’s not played the last couple the manager will be praying that he’s back yeah um because Everton set pieces without him aren very good it’s almost like no one else has worked on taking them it’s sure that isn’t the case it just looks like that just looks um and therefore we’ve lost the big weapon you know we beat wolves the only game we’ve won this month the only game we’ve won since October all three of the goals came from set pieces from Dwight M we had another gold dis from a set piece because of Dwight mcneel’s delivery and and we haven’t been able to replic that with anybody else so that’s going to be key because we don’t we’re not a team that does create lots of chances cuz we don’t have anyone in support we don’t fly forward we don’t break in numbers so it is tricky how how he sets up for this one yeah like I say it is it’s it’s it’s literally a Caron copy of the teams that they they set up the way we set up but have better players in them position to play it and and so then the but the owners will be on us as the home as the home team and Forest will know that now from positive side to try and put a positive spin on it is that if it may almost Force us into doing something a little bit different um which which might be what we need to do at home because what we’re doing at home is not it’s just not good enough you know like know away from home put up you know the banks are four um no no problem at all blah blah blah blah but at home you’ve got you know especially this time we’ve got we got the three that every fan will pretty much think you know good good good points M you know we’ve got the positivity of the Takeover yeah we’ve got um a little bit of buoyancy in and around a fan base Christmas time he has got to set this team up to buying to to the fans my biggest frustration with him this season has been he’s played gooders and down it’s been and and I know it doesn’t mean it and and and his thing is just because it’s the last year it doesn’t mean no I get that but play into the fact it’s the last yeah the fans are waiting on the edge of the seat to explode they want to go to the game and enjoy themselves they don’t want to go and it be flat and moan and you know booing or whatever it wants to get going he’s got to set the team up and it starts with that when you see the team as John Blain always says when you see the team you already got that feeling before you’re going into the ground um and I think a big for me a major thing that can do that is if you see bro on the starting lineup whether it be try something different whether it be up front instead of car or whether it’ be out wide in replace of Harrison but I think if you see him on a starting lineup I think it will be boed I think could theoretically and I know this is a bit wacky for Shawn D but we could almost play 703 against Forest cuz he loves having seven Men Behind the ball no what he does again not this is what he does it’s not a criticism it’s just him that’s him it’s like you know I could criticized the greatest manager probably in the Premier League in P Guardiola for the way that he doesn’t have any clue how to change stuff because he’s never had to deal with it his teams have won every game whereas against Everton he really should have swapped his wide players to e wing and done something difference he doesn’t he just keeps doing it in the Hope it’ll work well right now it isn’t working Johan D is the opposite end of the scale he’s defensive keep a clean sheet that’s fine but at home we have got a win you could really engage the fan base by almost going well we’re s of playing seven or three we’re having three genuine forwards in ilman and Jive he’s fit hopefully is he went off with a little bit of it but hopefully he’s okay Domin calv L shti bet whoever you want to she number nine and BR on the right because half Midfield are going to be a flat three so we’ve got a back four we’d also have a flat three and realistically it’s going to be the same three midfielders as well if you oh exactly so you ask the Cory to join in still got six of forest a break him at six they just not might be three of four but you’ve got cover but you’d have three forward to occupy them make them worry about you and I think if if we got the team sheeter 2:00 and a quarter to two as it is now um or 20 to two if mi’s putting it out um and you look and go oh my God he’s playing three up front basically everyone mat that you’re going going doing something a bit different it won’t be it’ll be 4 51 which is what we play okay but I think you do have to flip you do have to flip that we have got to start winning games football I think even if it’s going to be 451 I think it’s needs to be broer on front that’s the one I do I just think just to mix it do you mean and but also if you’re going to with long diags the ball in I’m not this is no criticism of calv L this is just an observation that’s just clear for everyone to see is he’s fantastic at bringing the ball down and that’s great but there’s no one around him no so and he doesn’t face off and run up them if if the striker is isolated you need someone that’s either got pace or has got the trickery to be able to he’s got none of those qualities so it doesn’t fit for me if you booting it long at least Bros you can run the channel he can hold the ball up and and carry the ball up the pitch and and he’s got a shot on him so just if if we are going in the like you say the the dice formation they typically been playing i’ I’d rather see that option now just to mix it up you know you can’t continue play and and I get the limitation of opportunities you get in front of goal but you can’t is playing a striker who doesn’t score goals you know they’ve got a big yard dog up front and he scores goals and I get the fact that they create more more chances and get that but we’ve got to come up with a way of putting a ball in the that to start getting these three points on the board and putting other teams Under Pressure because what we’ve what we’ve done against the you know the city the Arsenal the Chelsea that’s not going to cut it against your Forest your brenford your bour you you know it it just won’t we’ve got to find a different way and like I say for me if if I seek c l up up front as in not in it like you say a from three in it and it’s just the same starting lineup again I think you know I don’t want to see Harrison in that starting lineup at home just away from home he’ll do a job for he works hard you know he he’ll keep the shap well he cuts out the passing Lanes really well but offensively he’s so devoid the confidence at the moment it’s clear clear as day just so let’s just be on the front foot a little bit and let’s and again not not being Reckless you still have your banks are for at the back and solid you know we don’t ask our fullbacks to bomb on so we can keep solid but let’s Engage The Crowd let’s use the positivity that is around the club at the moment and go in and and it and it be a little bit more exciting you know just and I to be honest he’s auditioning for his job isn’t he he’s going to have to start winning games like you say he keeps referring to he’s obviously been put under pressure finally he’s finally got someone above them that I’ve put a levelis they’ll make a decision so let’s have a look at the AL Forest lined up in that win against totenham um let’s see where they were so obviously shells in goal who’s done brilliantly they’ve got a m milenovic Millo Niko Williams at the back four yon Anderson in mfield then alanga Gibs white Hudson a do and of course Chris Wood off fromont but even the subs you know marata James W prow aangi Ramon sza and toot Silva you know good Subs as well obviously using all five Subs which is I didn’t realize you could um no I mean you know Spirits so Santo knowing exactly what he wants to doing they doing it brilliantly let’s have a look how the trophies lined up at the EAD against Manchester City mlen Co and Coleman the fullbacks don’t know where the Sheamus is going to be fit of course bran way and tarosky had good games Midfield three of um mangala guy theor and then obviously we have Harrison on one side and J and Dominick Cal and mangala and Garner have been key lately haven’t they certainly to Everton improved form those two in Midfield have been really good yeah yeah I think I think for again for the system that we’re playing they fited perfectly they’ve done really well I think mangala um comfortable in possession so he’s a good foil for for Garner um and Jess Garner so Jana can go out and press him and do what he does well put out fir thought thought of Jana for me against city was absolutely super babe um out of POS I mean obviously predominant we are was out of possession but out of possession he was he was absolutely brilliant um and mangala in possession is fantastic at least he looks to play the ball forward yeah so they’ve they’ve been a good good sort of partnership that we’ve sort of fell on um and obviously the manager pointed that the cour has been playing a little bit deeper to make it a to make it a three which in those games works against those teams but again at home we’re going to need to look to do something a little bit different in in that formation wise we’ll probably match up to to their formation with the 4-2 31 and unfortunately I think that’s that’s the rout He he’ll go down but no those those two in Midfield look they can mix it with their in Midfield there’s there’s no issue there um you’re just looking at the teams the the the biggest sort of difference I mean goalkeepers Defenders all all similar center it’s the wi players isn’t it it’s that’s the biggest difference they’ve got p on a gold thft from wide where we’ve short of got it from and not maybe not the pace but the dribble and ability but on the other side it’s not matched Harrison’s not confident at the moment like you works hard enough no problem with the the shift he puts in Lind got technici in the 10 hav’t Gibs white good on the ball which is again something where we’ve got the option to to do different things like say if mcneel was fit you can maybe drop in J into the middle you can put rer on the way there’s different things but the reality of what we would potentially do and what he’s going to do are two different things look McNeil’s fit and G play on the right and play on the left cuz he won’t I don’t see him taking theor timis at the moment I don’t because I just think he’s doing that much ground with in Midfield that I mean he might I don’t but I just think he’s looked to get the Cory back into the side and he’s he’s in and he’s doing it m it’s a knee as well and a knee injury if it’s flaring up a bit you’ve got to be very careful with it but I think if he is available I just see him switching and Jing I think harison will come up and it’ll be the same but I think you’re right Brer could be an option for this one just to give them a different challenge because minkov very good well yeah minkovich is very good in the air so having long balls angled balls are done to to watch it try and edit it we’ve watched it all season he wins it we that’s fine but wins it for no one it doesn’t work does it here’s a question for POS with you so obviously Ashley Young’s back from suspension sounds like he’s fit what are you doing you straight back in for Coleman well if Sheamus was injured we don’t Coleman’s fit if Coleman’s fit he had a good game but are you going straight back in or you thinking maybe Ashley Young on the left or what what would you do I mean they’ve got AA pacy I don’t the only thing is the pace with with young ler is a proper Sprinter so if you’re talking taking Mel enco cuz he’s be hit and miss m at the moment if Sheamus is fit leave Sheamus in because we’re I home and young could just be sub yeah and then maybe after 65 minutes swap Sheamus out for young you can come on and do the job do you know what I mean or you start with young and Sh no that’s what I mean I’m just looking because Sheamus is more offensive and you might go you know what cuz you came on after what 70 minutes against Chelsea yeah Chelsea didn’t he and therefore you do that you go no we’ll put shames on the last 20 if it’s tight cuz he is offensive and he can push Forest back a b to tricky one but if he said he felt something be interesting because I mean if just you know Cav and that they’re all that they’re all fit you know obvious asle young probably deserves to be to be playing in terms of his performance levels and whatnot I think I might be in sort of two minds to take my go but youer left back and Coleman again I don’t think the manager will do that by the way but um but one person we will have to keep quiet is of course chriswood and let’s have a look at his stats he’s the danger man we’ve identified and rightly so 18 games 10 goals through an XG of 6.51 he’s averaging 1.7 shots per game and got a goal conversion rate of 32% which is that’s quite well very good it’s way above alen Harland and it’s way way above Dominic Al Liv um he’s been brilliant do he I mean List the much myign Chris Wood uh he is a he’s a very Agricultural Center forward shall we say yeah Sean D knows all about him of course he’s a big unit he’s awkward MH he went to Newcastle for big you know biggest money for his age and and scored one goal I think in his whole time at Newcastle and he couldn’t wait to get rid of him but Forest juvenated them haven’t he and he’s been good for them last think he got 13 last season for them and he’s 10 goals already not you know with just that Christmas now he’s being a brilliant for for them hasn’t he yeah he has he’s been he’s been super and I think again just the style of play that they play they actually play to his strengths aren’t they you know they get to the by line and and get balls back in and obviously the the strong on set plays um so you know everything that they do works works well around what he does and the difference for him is obviously when he’s playing as the long strike the target man he’s holding up the ball as he brings the ball down he’s got options plays it off cares is run into the box and he’s and he’s and he’s getting opportunities and goals so um I think he’s doing well I think he’s you know victim of or not victim but you know he’s benefiting from the fact that the team suits him I think if you swapped calv L and him around have very similar sort of stats on you know oh yeah other way around yeah I think calv Lun probably be on double figures if he was in their playing towards his strength so but yeah he’s going to be handful but feels like he’s the type of Defender that tarkovski would would like to be he’ll know him well he TR with him for a number of years he’ll know his strength he’s not going to catch s out as he better with that type isn’t he well he likes he likes getting involved in the physical battle doesn’t he so you know we’ll see St Source isn’t it is the issue the problem will be obviously the likes of Gibbs white who’s very good and then the two wde clever footballer Gibbs white yeah he’s good is you know with with a bit more lucer P thingss could have been weing the blue a great to come to Everton Everton couldn’t get the deal done and Forest did and he’s been very good for forest and I’m sure he’s delighted he’s at Forest this season not at ever but he is he’s definitely want to watch so list this is going to be a very tough game for Everton for us to Flying brilliant you know great football club great to see them doing well um let’s that’s one we can win they’re an inspiration to us let’s put it that way show you but it is a yeah listen again for all the good that they are they are a good side this is a g that I do everon can win it they’re going to have to go some we’re going to have to defend well which we’ve been doing of late we’re going to have to take a few more opportunities to get forward but it’s not one you look and go I’ve got no chance be tough they’ve only lost four games theyve won three times the games more than three times the games we’ve won this season but let’s see we at home
