e e e e good morning pool lovers just catching the first break of the leather pocket fall classic Usual Suspects in the seats Steven Holm versus Ben Francis if you’ve been tuning in for the weekend we apologize for not so much uh commentary happening but unfortunately we’re a little short-handed and uh we’re all pool players too so I was running the event Ben was uh obviously playing through through the aide uh neither one of uh these uh guys that you’re watching here have lost a a match this weekend so both running through the aside you’re watching the aside final we brought back six players today so the aside final Ben and Steven and four on the bside so the bside semi-final we’ve got uh Steve Wilton versus versus Mark vogov Jordan rothal versus John pomy so if you are CSL Watchers uh the three of us um myself Johnny and uh Ben have all been playing all weekend so we apologize for streaming matches without commentary but we figured some video was better than no video but here we are last day it is 11 just after 11:00 11:15 Mountain Standard Time matches have just started to get underway so we’ll watch the aside final here and then we will flip over and watch the B-side final and we will continue from there with it should be a fairly early day to get this finished nice jump shot by Steven there unfortunately did not get a great leave makes the one ball in the top right corner and I don’t uh that’s a big big 10 ball that he’s sitting behind there let me know how the sounds the how the audio sounds would appreciate it let me know if you need me to be a little louder or if it’s too loud nice little two rail kick for contact there for Stephen unfortunately he’s going to leave the two ball for Ben to get back to the table here sound is is spot on thanks Jason good morning there’s our remote uh pin Master David Wilson thanks David the bracket is online digital pool May pin that there I am following along on the YouTube chat as well so feel free to comment it’s just myself in the Box uh for probably then this whole match depending on uh the results of the aside fin match that we’re watching here I may or may not be on my own for the remainder of the day so any comments in the chat are appreciated looks like Ben has left himself a thin back cut here on the five the key here is the weight to be kind of on that uh either Center table for the six might be a little light a little light not terrible I feel like he’s favorite to make this six ball anyway good morning Peter it is it is Stephanie on the mic like I was just saying I might be flying solo for the remainder of the day but we’re going to try and make sure that there’s a commentary for the remaining matches fortunately unfortunately all the commentators are pool players undercut the six undercut overcut let me see that replay undercut the six slightly got the shape that he was looking for for the eight so Steven’s going to get a chance to close out on this first rack here rack number one in a race to nine yes undercut durin I watched it but my brain is not quite awake yet Ste just analyzing where he wants to be for the nine in order to get at the 10 most effectively it looks like that 10 is kind of hanging over the side pocket but I think the the angle of the camera is a little deceiving might be a a skinnier pocket than what it looks like on camera here nice shot there just to kind of bump the nine into a little bit of an easier position good three ball out by Steven to claim that first roack if you are just tuning in we’ve had the leather pocket fall classic going on all weekend a full field of 64 staggered entry the draw is up on digital pool that we have pinned in the Facebook Chat there prize money is also listed there so I think it was uh 13 50 for first 800 and some for second so a little bit of extra Christmas bonus money for these top six players here we ended up paying out top 16 out of 64 and it was uh 10 ball throughout the tournament on both sides aide and bside aide was played on the 9 foots and the bside is played on the seven foots stepen blasting the break Q ball flies off the table Stevens’s got an incredibly strong break Jason says he doesn’t know why but the digital pool link never works for you so you know I actually had that problem on um I was trying to bring it up on Edwin’s phone yesterday but um I did end up having just to go to a to a web browser so Chrome or Safari whatever you use go to the digital pool site and look up the turn if you put put in Fall classic uh it should be I don’t know like the fifth the fifth Tournament down it’s uh it says leather pocket fall classic and it’s just got the standard digital pool poster there they didn’t attach the um the actual event poster to the pool link but that might be a good way to to access it Jason a little bit of a stretch here for Ben little bit of a steeper cut here on this four but he should be okay for the six it looks like it bypasses that seven easily for nice shape on this eightball just to roll up slightly for the nine and that is going to tie it up at onesies at the same time as this aside final we are playing the bside semifinal if you missed it at the beginning we have uh Mark vogov versus Steve Wilton the other table is Jordan rothal versus John Pon P so between the three of us myself Johnny and Ben obviously playing a lot of pool all weekend there hasn’t been a whole lot of commentary so if you tuned in over the weekend we apologize for the lack of audio but I will try my best for today to keep up with uh with the matches current score with John and Jordan is 1 also I can’t see uh stepen and Mark’s score but I will try to keep us posted on that one good news bad news for Ben nice wide open break but unfortunately not a great opener here on the one ball so I would imagine we’ll see a safety here try to take the one ball behind this little pack down here oh he got got both I don’t know if he was actually going for the one ball or going for the leave but that worked out quite nicely maybe it was a bit of a two-way shot good wait to hold for the three good breakes might be a touch of the morning pool there he had took his eye off the ball looking for shape on the four get those uh Miss shots out early in the match definitely don’t want to leave those to the end first matches of the morning are always the toughest it looks like Steven has got his jump Q in his hand I thought maybe he was able to see the edge of that three but I guess not air time on the three that was a great shot I don’t uh I don’t think the four ball passes the eight so Stephen may be looking at the combination that eight ball is quite close to the side pocket there or the cut up to the top left carum off the seven and he is going to get a good leave there looks like Ben is going to go for the cross Bank four ball into the top right corner I don’t know I find that 47 pretty tempting one second guys sorry guys the room owner here just inquiring about what we need for table surfaces today everything ran quite smoothly this weekend so we were able to just bring back the top six for today should be a fairly early finish for us uh Romeo asked uh if there was a top lady and there certainly was uh it was [Music] um uh Susie dickstein one top lady won some great matches been working really hard on her game and it showed throughout this tournament I know that she was uh really excited to play she got matched up with B Francis who’s been coaching her over the last few weeks and uh pre-match she was she was optimistic but she wasn’t going to be surprised if it was a 990 win for Ben but uh good honor she got a good four matches so a good accomplishment for her she’s been playing really great so Susie won Top lady took uh took a 100 bucks I think that covered covered her entry maybe made a little bit uh Cameo is asking who the owner is of leather pocket so the owners of leather pocket is Sonia Woodward who is Len’s daughter and uh Jim jitsu more or less 50/50 owners of leather pocket I think uh I think Sonia’s got a little bit more but doing a great job here with uh with leather pocket I know that Len would be super proud the clientel here is pretty consistent very respectful they’ve grown the business have great tournaments so for those of you who have not visited the leather pocket yet in Calgary I would highly highly recommend we’re very blessed here in Calgary to have some great huls uh leather pocket obviously being one of them very traditional pool haul feeling in here all diamond tables throughout they’ve got 8 7 foots 10 OTS uh the hidden spot that is just moments away probably a 7-minute car ride also all diamond tap there I believe they have eight of each 7 foots and 9 foots uh I think they actually have a great um 580 and under tournament happening today correct me if I’m wrong if anybody knows but I think it starts at 2 o’ yeah you got it C you got it it’s a great venue you can pretty much come into leather pocket at any time of day and find a good a good matchup somebody willing to play cheap sets lots of action happening here lately so very fortunate to have uh the leather pocket and hidden spot in Calgary always a great place to go and then we have uh Mojo Billiards that just opened up uh last year in airry so just a little a little bit outside of town they have a combination of diamonds and Valley bar boxes out there but a great place for league and then um sticks and Bones out in High River so that is just out the south east side of Calgary Southwest side of Calgary uh maybe just uh you know half an hour hour outside of Calgary on that end but uh they’re having some great tournaments good food and staff out there as well huge room so nice to see all these uh great pool rooms thriving and then if you’re even a little bit further up north top shots is a great one to hit up in the Edmonton area great tournaments out there they’ve got uh I believe I want to say 169 foot tables a couple of Bar Boxes and uh a couple of snooker tables even with the heated slate so and fantastic food out there too but if you’re traveling out to the Calgary area hit those hit those rooms up show them some support if you uh need a reminder or need an update on some upcoming events just send us a quick message we’ll be happy to let you know what events are happening while you’re in town looks like it’s a quick 32 win for Johnny over Jordan as of right now that is a race to seven on the B side 10 ball on the seven foot tables Stephen gets the five ball on the right side great break not a great opener however I’m not even sure if he’s able to chip at that one ball if he’s forced to push out here looks like he can chip the paint off Steph just reassessing the situation here looks like he can just chip at the side of that one ball but then he’s leaving the one two combination which would be fairly textbook he might be better off just pushing out here I guess that is what he’s going to do he’s going to let Ben deal with that one ball I think that was probably the smarter play does the one ball pass the two makes it a pretty tight pocket and it looks like the two ball is uh pretty darn close if not frozen to that rail so it makes the combination a little tough Steven Nails it just Spears that one ball in that pocket looked a little bit tighter than maybe it actually is the camera angle is a little deceiving rest of the table is wide open here I think the key shot on this table is going to be the nineball just because it’s close to the rail but as long as he’s on the top half of the table I don’t see it posing a problem ten ball stayed Center can come to either side of that Derek Moore says you ever think there might be a different results if this was played on the bar box yes they play good on that too but lesser players have more of a chance on the seven foot I don’t disagree Derek um there are probably uh more players accustomed to the smaller table however but for the ease of tournament format and um and speed to be able to comfortably get through a full 68 or 64 players at you know fairly decent races a race to nine on the a side and race to seven on the BS side I think that um in order to accommodate 64 players just on eight eight tables is a little you know there’s some pros and cons to both if we did um just on the bar boxes I think that I would recommend uh capping the tournament at a smaller amount of players just to be able to get through it without you know huge long weights in between not that we couldn’t get through it but it would make it a much longer weekend for sure the one thing I do appreciate about uh using the 9 foots and the 7even foots for aide bside is that it just the weights are so much less I mean you’re you’re looking at maybe a 2hour rate weight in between matches versus you know sometimes 5 six hours in between matches makes a big difference had we have just done it on one set of tables either the 10 n foots or the the 8 7 foots we definitely would not be bringing back the final 6 Sunday morning we’d be bringing back you know 1260 I think 12 is even optimistic I would say 16 is probably more likely and it would be a later Sunday for sure but that might be uh that might be a good idea for you know a um maybe just a another weekend tournament a Saturday Sunday maybe make it a 32 field for 10 ball on the box I’d be down for that just something different right something other than maybe eight ball as expected Stephen was able to navigate his way through the the last remaining balls on that table Romeo you’re funny asking if Ben Francis and Ben Francisco are related since they are the same height and their names are very similar slightly different skin tones but if there was a a non-physical do doppelganger out there for people I I do like the comparison but that’s funny Stephen with another huge break here it is winner breaks see if he can keep it on the table which he does control that one quite nicely would have liked a little bit better position on the one ball a little unfort that that one ball is so close to the rail a few inches out would have been much preferred however still cutable just a little bit tougher Stephen ideally wants to be on the right side of that bottom right corner chose to push out I think that one ball was cutable but like I said the the camera angle is a little deceiving it might have been a little bit steeper than what it looks like on the screen here looks like Jordan is racking on the B side versus John Pon P he is down one game three to four for Johnny over Jordan and I can’t quite see the score for Steve and Mark got a big pole in the way I we’ll try to poke my head out of the room here and and take a quick look at that one here soon Austin Austin just pointing out that it was a safe not a push out and you’re correct my my brain wavs are not quite connecting this morning I need a little bit more time to wake up but because uh Steven did make contact with the one ball it’s considered a safety not a push out nice little safe by Ben there just a little Tippy tap on the one using the six ball for coverage stepen can go either one or two rails here caught the one rail is he going to get coverage by the four that is a great shot little bit tough for Ben to connect here I’m not sure if he’s got a window between the 410 to hit that side rail I think if he goes under the two to the left that is he’s going to have to catch the gets up and over the fourball nicely leaving Steven a shot here on this one ball it is a bit of an awkward reach he’s looking to play safe again an awkward reach for a right-hander had he been left-handed this might be a little bit of an easier shot flip into the left hand I know that this is something that Steven practices I don’t know how much but I know that he is uh he’s quite good friends with John Mora and obviously uh through some of these players it’s uh good to be uh practicing kind of both if you practice with your non-dominant hand it does get you out of a a few tough situations so always good to have in your Arsenal nice touch there from stepen tap on the table from Ben realizing that that was that was a a tough one Steven played perfect weight there I am following Along on both chats everyone so through Facebook or YouTube so feel free to drop some comments in the chat I am flying solo for probably most of the day depending on the results of these uh early matches here Jordan just broke and ran a table on the bside semi here it is now tied 44 between John P Pomp and Jordan rothal good kick at the one ball for Ben not giving ball in him but I don’t think it’s going to matter left the one ball as a hanger in that top left Stephen just analyzing how to get to that bottom right corner quarter for the two ball weight looks great little bit of angle and he’s on the right side of it to get back to the three Center table looks like it would be ideal Stephen just try choosing to draw back slightly taking a little bit of a longer shot on the three that’s probably the smarter the smarter move alth although he did have the right angle he risked making contact with that 10 which could have been bad still some work here to do on this table that uh seven ball is in a little bit of a tricky spot so Stevens is taking a moment here to map out the plan mark on Facebook asking what kind of jump cues are they using they look longer than the average Steven is sponsored by jacobe so he is using a um a jacobe jumper I’m not too familiar with it so sorry I don’t know the name of it and Ben uh is using a NX Q Innovation jumper custom made by our very own Nick Manuel local to Calgary and they are amazing uh a lot of our we actually have quite a few High Caliber players here in the Alberta area and uh Calgary especially and a lot of the players have moved even from their Predator air rush type jumpers oh no a couple of rails and scratches in the side for Steven so Ben’s going to get an opportunity here uh but the quite a few of our high-end players um Ben being one of them at uh 758 Fargo um Larry walper uh I believe Joe Spence is hit with it a couple of times uh but just uh hasn’t been around much since he lives out in BC these days but a lot of the the higher end players have moved to a NYX Q jump a NYX Q Innovation jumper um and I know that a lot of people have offered to buy them but uh these players are just not letting them go so if you are interested in test hitting one if you can nail down one of these guys I’m sure that they’d be happy to let you try them if not try um connecting with Nick’s Q Innovation and he will make you one but these guys have sworn by them for a couple of years now nice cut down the rail for Ben he could use getting a game back up on the board he knows the dangers of letting Steven get a little too far ahead perfect on this 10 ball and he is going to get one back so now we have a game of 3-2 I would not be surprised if this goes back and forth for the remainder of this match the only consideration being it is winner break so I don’t put it past either one of these guys to uh put a few racks together gain a little bit more of a lead I’m just going to mute myself here for a second guys and see if I can get an update on the Steve and uh Veno match one second e e all right folks I am back for those inquiring the score between Mark and Steve is 43 for Veno over Steve it is now 54 for Johnny over Jordan B slightly overcut the two ball going to leave a hanger there for Steven but hard to see on the camera how close that two ball is to that bottom rail not sure if uh Stephen is able to cut that in looks like he’s putting some outside on that just to help it along that will work just going to SK by that four ball for the three in the side Veno just closes out another game it is 53 for Veno over Steve Wilton should be a little bit of a Tic-Tac toe out for Steven here 5 six 7 10 laying nicely on that table e perfect skate over to the seven should be able just to drawback here for the 10 all about the weight these guys make it look so easy I would have either over or under drawn that by probably a couple of feet stepen able to land it perfect he got a two game lead over Ben fairly evenly match between these two only seven Fargo points difference between the both of them and they have thousands of games recorded for their robustness so pretty darn accurate for these two the Difference Maker being winner breaks if it was alternate break I I like this match going back and forth but I feel like the opportunity exists for getting a big spread with the way these guys can run some tables another strong break for stepen has a better opener on this one he is such a great breaker he’s just got so much power and he’s able to control that QQ ball so well it just pops and stays pretty Center most of the time a little tricky to get back in shape for this two ball at the bottom end of the table opts to just play safe there I did forget to mention that when um we asked the players to rack the 10 ball we did stip that the two three has to be in the back Corners having the two three in the back Corners just makes it uh not as easy to break and have the one two connect all the time just a little bit makes it a little bit tougher on the B side it looks like these guys are getting a little bit closer it is now 55 Jordan and Johnny in a race to seven and Steve was able to pull out another game to get a little bit closer it is 54 for Mark over Steve for for good hit by Ben there that was a tricky connection side pocket and the Seven kind of took away that side rail hitting below the seven makes it too wide so had to use the bottom rail and use a ton of spin to not give up ball in hand unfortunately for him but fortunate for Stephen Steven’s got a bit of a window here for this one everything else lays pretty wide open for another uh Wide Open Table for Steven here I would suspect that he would get out no problem here Mike Isaac in the chat saying actually they have stopped running the rack uh stopped the racking of two3 in the corners because the pros have learned patterns in the speed of the break to make it easier to run out hence the reason federan chain used the random rack generator for their match and you’re probably correct Mike more technical than my explanation I just put the two and threes in the back corner just because it makes it tougher than having the one two together and ending up on the same end of the table right but I did actually talk to Kyle Ferguson uh who is because I was just in Louis Louisiana a few weeks ago at at rail yard and uh I did talk to Kyle about that rack generator and he is by trade a a programmer a software programmer so uh it was Kyle himself that that made that um rack generator and it might be out for purchase via an app soon so that was uh that was one of feder’s requests hey can you make us a a random rack generator and Kyle said it was pretty easy to do so he’s looking to to make some tweaks on it just to make some improvements and it might be available to the public fairly soon as an app thought that was pretty ingenious of him shout out to rail yard their food was amazing their room is gigantic uh and the building is full of character it’s an older an older Factory more or less it was like all Old Brick and hardwood floors huge bar so if you’re ever in the Kentucky Louisiana area area check out Rail Yards staff was great there big stroke here for Steven get back for the 10 using the side rail as a little bit of Leverage ends up pretty perfect on this 10 it’s going to gain him one more rock leading by three Tides have turned for Jordan and Johnny Jordan is up one game 65 over Johnny so Jordan is on the hill race to seven on the B side still 54 for Veno over Steve but Steve is at the table long shot on the seven and Spears it these guys have been playing great all weekend it’s been a while since we’ve Ste seen Steve Steve Wilton uh you know late late in the tournament hasn’t been playing much super busy with work but been putting some time in as of the last couple of months and it is definitely showing huge break from Steven here he’s got a few hangers that six looks pretty close together I I like the carum in that situation assuming that the camera angle is not deceiving oh sorry that’s the one two six in the top left corner it looks like tough to see the the colors on the screen and then he’s got the nineball looks like hanging in the left side Stephen didn’t like the carum or it wasn’t there obviously looked probably closer on the screen did not get coverage it’s going to leave Ben a shot here I would find the one six very very tempting if I were Ben nope just take this a long Bank instead there is a reason they are out there and I am in here this table even though there are three hangers in the pockets is a little bit uh is a little bit tricky to get out on the two ball since the two ball is so deep in the pocket it makes it tough to get shape for the three I do believe the three ball goes long to the bottom bottom left can also choose to play the 36 combination didn’t mean to bump into the three but it’s not going to make a difference here in this situation I don’t think still lines up pretty nice was a friendly bump Mark and Steve are now tied at 55 nice shot by Ben there just to slow roll that three leave it in the jaws of the pocket will make it easier to get to the four we’ll see what Ben chooses to do with this 7 to the8 eight this looks to be the key shot of this rack he ended up a little bit straighter on this seven than he would have liked always easier when you have a little bit of natural angle to get to the next shot he will just Mega draw for two rails to make shape for the eightball that worked out fantastic fantastic couldn’t have really asked for better better line on this eightball so very own Ben Francis able to steal a rack from Steven that was Steven’s break looks like we have a hill hill match here for Johnny versus Jordan it is 66 in a race to seven sorry everyone it looks like we lost internet connection there briefly the location of the leather pocket is um almost like City Center it’s quite Central in Calgary but it’s quite an older part of Calgary and um they have not improved the internet service in this area yet so something that we are working on getting uh improved service here but hoping that those interm those um interruptions are limited today as we’re down to the final six Mark and Steve tied at 55 for now but marks at the table with just a couple of balls to close out on and as predicted Mark was able to close that out so Mark is going to be on the hill first versus Steve Wilton 65 it looked like that two was able to get by the three Stephen opted to play a safety there surprised a little bit maybe he question getting shape on the three ball regardless people to for e all right sorry folks we are back the internet finally had its temper tantrum and kicked us off but I don’t think we missed too much a little Panic regroup there to catch the remainder of this match our apologies but not not too much that we can do when it comes to the internet connection here yikes then just slightly over cut that eightball got a little bit too much of that side rail before the pocket and did not drop so a gift for Stephen I don’t think Steven was was expecting to get back at this table three ball out for stepen is going to bring it to a six3 lead for Steven overb Ben still hill hill for Jordan and Johnny on the B side and 65 for Veno over Steve but Steve is at the table as mentioned we brought back the final six today so just the aside final those two players versus the four players on the bside semi after this match here we’ll be down to the final four another big break Break by Steven good opener on the one ball everything else laying pretty wide open just got to move the cube all around but I like uh I like the chances here for Steph to break and run this rock sorry Andy yorski welcome sir thanks for tuning in I uh was mentioning earlier in uh the previous stream that we apologize for the lack of commentary for the weekend but we’re a little short-handed this weekend and uh obviously Ben and and Johnny are still playing so but we’ll try and hang in there as much as we can today cover the last few matches just brought the back the final six today so just a few more matches to go well I don’t blame you Andy I know that everybody is busy especially this time of year December is is a busy one lots of prep and holiday cheer to spread around the one thing I do appreciate about appreciate about Stephen and Ben is even when they have a textbook out and things look you know fairly fairly easy one ball leads to another you know a routine follow through or drawback they always take their time to assess make sure they go through their routine fully you hardly ever see these guys Rush looks like the bside match is finishing up at the same time just looked over it looks like Jordan was able to make a bit of a comeback Johnny leading most of the time up until they got to about 55 Jordan taking that one down so Johnny is going to be out of the event which is great news for for us because I think uh Johnny will probably stick around and commentate a little bit bad news for Johnny though because he’s out of the event on the other table looks like Mark was able to get out on that last table so that is a 75 win for Mark vogov over Steve Wilton but like I said Steve played so strong all weekend and it’s so good to see him in in the late uh late matches I would assume these players are going to stick around today if you are in the Calgary area and able to come down they are holding their uh their Sunday event their Sunday tournament their weekly I believe that starts at around $10,000 not sure if you guys can hear me it looks like the internet just came back we apologize for the interruption like I said it’s just the uh the old cabling in this area of the city they are working on improving that though Scotty on YouTube says that he enjoys the stream and professionalism you provide when when the internet acts up so he doesn’t hold it against e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e sorry everyone to do some TD duties there make some payouts looks like step is able to get to the hill it is 84 step over Ben great combination shot there by Steven when the balls are so close it looks uh you know pretty easy and routine but as a level up to our lower end player y you always kind of have to plan where the object ball is going to end up after you make a combination Steven did that next to perfect hit it and stuck the one ball right in the pocket there’s nothing worse than making a combination than having to scramble for that one ball again leaving yourself tough bouncing out too hard leaving it awkward it looks like the nineball is covering that three can we still get it little deceiving on the screen here just enough perfect for the fourball straight up to the top pocket Stephen just having a look to see it looks like it is pretty tight to that rail a difficult shot to get by that side pocket especially great shot on the four ball those shots are never easy yeah good there to follow through for shape on the five five 7 8 9 10 looks like a hidden stick should be should work out for the rest of this table here tic tac toe stepen is on the hill race to nine you’re watching the aside final is St Steven’s able to get out here uh this earns him the hot seat but one little misstep and Ben will get a chance to come back to this table and you don’t want somebody like Francis Ben Francis to get back to this table nobody has more grind or more heart than that guy and he is dangerous even in this kind of a situation I can’t even count how many times Ben has been down you know this you know three four five games the other his opponent’s on the hill and he’s able to come back and win it happens so often so Stephen would much rather close this out two balls to go Ben may have even given him that 10 ball looks like he has Ben has conceded the T ball he couldn’t have left himself more perfect really so I think what we’re going to do guys is we are going to oh one second I was going to shut it down but it looks like this Beast side is going to get underway right away these guys are not going to hang out and wait so I’m going to flip it over to the bside this is the bside final let me just fill in the blanks here so that I didn’t expect these guys to start right away but nonetheless we will just work with what we got just realize that the uh scoreboards did say race to seven other screen I apologize if it was incorrect anyways I was not the one that set this up but we’ll get it back on track it is a race to nine on the a side race to seven on the B side looks like traffic is starting to head into the pool hall here people are starting to arrive for the Sunday nine ball tournament with the $10,000 break pot so if you are in around the area I would make your way down sooner than later sorry guys I’m just trying to pull up the YouTube chat here all right so we are following along in both chats again Facebook and YouTube our connection looks good watching the B side final let me know if you guys have any questions Steve Wilton and John payom P just knocked out out of the bside in fifth six spot Jordan and Mark here playing for fourth score is 0 with Jordan at the table we apologize for the side view but there’s uh some cabling uh that is not working on our Norm Al overhead camera so this was the best that we could do for the inter term it is still 10 ball on the seven foots on the B side the only difference being uh no template racks on the B side it’s all triangle rack and AAS to seven instead of nine still winter breaks you are also able to follow along on the online draw it’s up on digital pool all the prize payouts are also listed there we just said goodbye to John pompy and uh Steve Wilton who claim fifth six for $220 a piece this bside final that we’re watching here is for fourth and that one pays out 320 and then it’s 470 for third 700 for second and 1350 for first so a nice little boost for some Christmas cash Mark says that’s good concedes a 10 ball to Jordan it is still winter breaks on the B side Blake says this is awesome to see these two battle out yes for sure you also played great this weekend Blake can tell that you’ve been playing quite a bit these days it’s good to see I expect to see you in more tournaments and later in the event Scotty on YouTube says those are some pretty good payouts and I would have to agree thanks to leather pocket for $1,000 added to the prize pool uh as I had mentioned it was staggered entry uh for this event we were able to fill the field 64 players uh but it was anywhere depending on your your Fargo you paid anywhere from $35 to $125 and I think that there was only five or six players in that top tier obviously Ben Steven um um were two of those that uh Brady Goen another one Edwin Montel played the top paid the top tier 125 but we actually um had quite a few players that paid 35 5075 $100 range so nice to have these events where it doesn’t cost too much to have those lower end players just kind of get their feet wet and play against some um some higher ranked players in the in the area nice little hide and seek game happening here on the B side Veno just chip and going for cover good hit on the two Ball by Jordan un fortunately he opened up the 410 which was a little bit of a which was a little bit of security for him CU that was a a tough one to get at but nonetheless nothing is tied up now looks like Vino’s calling the uh the bank on this two ball not sure if that’s what he was going for I thought I did see him call the the top left pocket there maybe a bit of a two-way nonetheless tough shot here on the two even a little bit more tricky to get shape on the three ball we’ll see what Jordan opts to do here not a terrible attempt got fortunate with a leave thank goodness for five balls five ball offering some coverage but the two ball is a hanger in the side a little bit past Center so we’ll see if uh if Mark opts to make this jump shot oh Mark was able just to see the edge of that two ball chipped the paint off of it unfortunately did not get shape on the three Blake says it was awesome to play the guy the guys that he watches so often and get some tips from them there’s one thing about the Calgary area um and I just know personally that these guys are not afraid to offer their opinions give you some tips and tricks and kind of you know offer a kind word they are definitely not not those types of players so if you have the opportunity to come play these guys I definitely would would take it you can’t get the experience that these guys have to offer does the three ball go in the side does it pass the six maybe could be a thin pocket makes the 10 ball that was a great shot to be honest I didn’t even really see that as an option that 10 ball was sitting so far out in a weird angle but Jordan’s been playing strong all weekend so a quick two- game lead for Jordan over Mark lots of bodies starting to fill up on the uh 9 foot side of the room been a consistent you know 50 plus players every Sunday for this nine ball Sunday weekly tournament so hurry on down if you guys want a chance at that $110,000 break pot they are taking entries as we speak a dry break from Jordan here going to get marked back to the table there are definitely some things to work out however Mark just looking to tighten up that cluster around that side pocket not sure really what he had in mind there the camera angle here says that you know there’s multiple combinations that will go question is where that one ball will end up Jordan is just going to play the hide and seek game looking live at the table it looks like Mark’s going to be able to chip the right side of that one ball it is a little bit ahead of the two or to the right of the two I should say opting for the kick and to open up that cluster did he get fortunate with the leave just sitting to the side of this cuq ball here and it looks like it might be tucked just barely be behind the edge of the two yeah Jordan was still able to hit half the half of the one ball find some coverage behind the 3 four for is he going to get it on the second time around he does he does did he touch another ball was that a foul just watch the replay on that and I’m not really sure for I don’t think Jordan got a rail there did he maybe he did that was that was close nonetheless Mark was had a window to the three took it Dennis said the one was on the table he made the two I didn’t see the one but to be honest I wasn’t really looking for it I thought he was going for the two regardless it looks like I like Mark’s chances to get one on the board here for Jordan’s going to give Mark the rest of that rack pretty textbook on the 910 e for you are correct I just went back and watched that shot the one B still was on the table trying to pay atten M pay attention to multiple things here happening sorry guys wearing a few different hats here this weekend so my apologies great kick on the two ball you not call that for Jordan was able to play off the eight ball to hold for the five for came a little bit steep on the six ball but it looks like the seven ball goes into the opposite side fairly easily has 3/4 of a pocket there and has nice angle to come in off that side rail back out center for the eight for couple more balls here to gain another game in the lead add one more to Jordan there Jordan not thrilled about that break potted the two however does not get a good opener on this one ball he’s going to push out and leave a an opportunity to bank this one for Mark yep calling the bank for for for Jordan’s got a little bit of a tough angle here on this three ball he just assessing how to to get back in shape for the four little stun he going to give him enough juice to come back in and around got a little fortunate got some a good rub off that 10 e I think he came over a little far for shape on this five I I’m not sure if it still goes barely had to use some throw to make that five good news is that the table is opening up not so much traffic now looks to be fairly straight on the six he would like to be straight on the seven for shape on the eight ball was able to force it a little bit that was a good shot for Jordan worked his way nicely out of that rack and it looks like Ben is starting to warm up on the table just behind give me one second guys I’ll be right back I’m just going to grab something for a player out here I’ll be right back e e e e e e all right what did I miss anything hideand-seek from the one ball it looks like ball in hand for Mark this table is not laying too badly Mark can get out on this table here 2 three [Music] four 5 six seven leads nicely to the eight for after this match here will probably reset I would assume getting ready for the bside final Mark didn’t get as straight as he wanted on this four ball got the wrong angle to stay for the five forced to go into the six yep using the six just to slow down the Q ball two rails for the six does he have a little bit of angle to get back over to the right side for the seven he’s looking at the seven in the side pocket as an alternative here think he might be a little too straight on the six able to draw back was a pretty good shot has enough angle on the seven to get to the top rail for the eight for Jordan’s going to call it good on the 10 ball and Mark’s going to claw one back 42 Jordan leading over Mark Ben is on that uh table to the top there warming up for the bside final for Mark could use another break and run here to get another one back to get the game within one it’s going to make the five one ball is kind of tight to the 10 kind of right in line with that Q ball one ball looks a little tight he might have to put a little bit of throw on this one but what kind of shape are you going to be able to get on this two ball angle on the two looks pretty steep for the side pocket he might just have half a pocket here to the side ultimately I think he’d like to play this three ball to the top left corner I’m not sure if it passes by the nine though he may have to play this in the side for it was tight it was tight I don’t know if you would have liked the shape on the four ball anyhow so that might have been a bit of a two-way shot [Applause] nice kick from Jordan making the three ball able to hold the Q ball for the for the four ball in the side pocket for Jordan just looking to see if he wants to go one rail for the six I think he almost has to 10 balls blocking the path for the two rail caught the edge of the eight right on the 50/50 if he goes into that eight ball just with a little bit more weight bumps it out of the way but unfortunately not what he was looking for for the seven playing the kick on the seven into the side pocket and he’s going to give Mark Ball in hand ball in hand for Mark here on the seven four balls to close this rock out to get the game within one the eight ball passing by the 10 is going to make it a little bit easier I was questioning that draw back a little bit for the nineball top left pocket that was not the stroke that Veno was looking for but I think he’s still all right here it’s coming in hot should be okay looks like we lost a ball on the table racking with a two three in the back corners e it was questionable whether Mark was going to get a ball on the break eight ball just made it un fortunately doesn’t have a great look at this opener here Mark pushes to a jump and Jordan’s going to give it back to him oo that was a great jump gets lucky he doesn’t scratch in the side looks like Mark is pretty straight on this two ball if he can just uh stop shot this for the three ball maybe it looked straighter than it actually was maybe he did have some angle maybe he played for the 310 I didn’t think that he would actually play for that but the 59 is a little bit tricky it’s going to gain him the rack anyways and we are tied up at four 44 and a race to seven so now it is uh a race to three first one to win three more rocks is going to win this this match bside semi loser here is going to go out in fourth place fourth place still play pays out $320 $320 for fourth place finish third pays 470 second is 700 and first is a whopping 1350 big thanks to leather pocket for the ,000 added this event here we were able to fill at 64 players but staggered entry Mark is nice and tight to that one ball that may be frozen even he did make the 10 ball 10 balls on the break do not count so the 10 balls just simply get spotted e for good contact from Jordan on the one ball Mark’s able to see the one but I don’t know if he’s able to make this I don’t think so does it make the bank the window between the nine or just uh just by the seven ball there underneath the seven is pretty tight safety is he cutting it that is a thin thin cut maybe with a little throw need a ton of outside oh and that is the danger of that shot you know you’re going to lose uh lose control of that Q Ball but it had eyes right into that side pocket so ball in hand for Jordan here on the two ball Jordan started out this match always leading it is now tied 44 so Jordan would love to get a game back Jordan likes the 29 combination for place the right side of the pocket just to get shape for the three worked out well although possibly a little straighter than he would have liked should be able to just to draw back draw back off that side rail for shape on the four did have a little bit of angle and was able to play off the top rail angles are a little deceiving on this side view for sure Daryl on YouTube is asking if Ben is still on the no loss side uh no so Ben actually just lost at 11:00 this morning uh it is currently just 10 to 10 to 2 Mountain Standard Time first round was at 11 and Ben lost to uh Steven Holm on the aide this morning so Steven hm is in the hot seat Ben is coming around the B side and will be up next versus the winner of this match here that we’re watching we’ll have the bside final coming up next nice cut on that five ball to the top right should be Tic-Tac toe on this 6710 that will also work I thought maybe just a stop shot there but that’s going to get one rack uh for Jordan retaking the lead leading by one so as I was mentioning the uh the entries for this tournament was uh full field at 64 however it was staggered entry entries uh for the lower Fargo play players was uh $35 I think then the next tier was at $50 $100 and then 125 so Ben Francis Steven Holm uh Brady Gan I believe all played the maximum at 125 but for the lower Fargo rated players uh you know entry level just get just gain the experience it was worth it for them to uh to get in this tournament for $35 we had a really good turnout so thank you to everybody who came out and played this event little bit of a thin cut on this one ball Jordan would love to hold it slightly for the two controlled that very well two to the four looks fairly automatic natural angle there just wants to make sure that he plays for the window the four ball does pass the five oh no took his eye off the ball wanted to make sure that he hit the window for shape on the fourball and missed the pot fortunately unfortunately it is not a gimme for Mark looks like he’s going to have to play the long rail kick or the long table kick excuse me wow not really sure how that didn’t drop I think Jordan probably would have preferred that it dropped because Mark’s shape on the fourball was not great would have had to probably play another kick so Jordan’s attempt here same shot for the two ball he’s going to make it nice cut from Jordan there does it get shape for the five good check off that bottom rail around the world for seven on the top Mega draw mega draw well done so now because of this angle do you play for the nineball in the side pocket or try and hold it for the nine ball in the bottom right side pocket it is Jordan increasing the Gap to finish this match out I do believe that is going to put Jordan on the hill in this race to seven Jordan’s just going to take a quick break in the meantime we’ll give a shout out to our friend Nick Manuel at Nicks Q Innovation phone number is on the card there 667 3173 if you are interested in one of those amazing jump cues uh he has been frantically making them because he cannot keep up with the demand but reach out to him either via text on his phone uh or on his Facebook page NX Q Innovation uh he will definitely um help you out if you’re in and around the area and need any sort of Q maintenance Nick is your guy the turnaround time is amazing his prices are fantastic and you couldn’t ask for for better workmanship he does magical things with the repairs and uh and fixes that he does on people’s equipment if you’re not in the area Nick will also ship and repair your queue back to you if you want to ship it to him uh he’s amazing I would highly highly recommend so just a quick reset for Jordan here on this he’s hoping the last rack of this match J Money on YouTube is asking if these are N9 foot tables they are not so the BS side is played on uh the 7 foot tables the format of this tournament was uh 10 ball on the 9 foots on the a side and 10 ball on the 7even foots on the B side we have uh 10 9 foots 10 Diamond 9 foots on one side of the room and eight 7 foot diamonds on the other side uh so we have really adapted to this format where it’s kind of you know aide 9 foot BS side 7 foot keeps the tournament running pretty darn smooth weight times for matches is almost next to nothing I think maximum people were waiting to play uh their next match was maybe a couple of hours versus you know playing 64 a 64 man draw on eight or 10 tables the the weights obviously are two three times longer which makes for a really long weekend so fortunate for us we’re able to play uh 9 foots on one side seven foots on the other and it keeps things moving very quickly and we’re able to cut the tournament time down by by heaps heaps and mounds so last night we actually went through the bulk of the tournament and only brought back the final six for the final day we brought back the uh aside final and uh four on the bside the quarterfinal Mark gets a very slim and gentle rub off that nine ball just took the three ball off the path missed the side pocket Tyler Robertson on uh on Facebook says Nick is great to work with hands down best jump q and great customer service Nick is the best and this is just like it’s a side gig for him uh as far as like queue maintenance and making custom cues and things like that but um you couldn’t ask for a better guy and um a guy that just does it because he loves the game and the people so much the quality of his work because of the heart he has is uh is impeccable so highly highly recommend working with Nick and his rates are more than reasonable so this table here is actually not laying out too too badly for Jordan if he can just hold it together for five more balls this is going to get him up and over the hill I have a guest this fantastic Ben Franc is hopping in for a couple words before he plays his next match just uh just want to let everybody know too just like five minutes in between matches Jordan’s going to want to play right away and I’m pretty much ready to go so yeah that’s awesome these guys are not not waiting too long Jordan’s not a waiter for sure no Jordan’s like flip the coin let’s go yeah and I like that about him he’s not a staller at all yeah can see it the way he plays pool too he’s not worried at all about his Pace CU he knows he plays a good Pace he’s played a good match here Veno made a good comeback from 4-1 down and then a weird scratch on a ball kind of handed back momentum I was thinking about this what is your opinion do you feel like a rotation game is easier or tougher on a smaller table just because of of congestion you have a smaller surface just easier to pot the ball it is easier to Pop the ball but so long shots aren’t long the safeties aren’t paying off as much it’s a bit different it’s a different game I think it’s easier but it’s not like drastically easier and 10 Ball nine ball is like shooting fish in a barrel on a I actually I I was actually saying uh Derek Moore was online earlier and I was saying you know maybe we should have like a just like a Saturday Sunday cap at 32 10 ball barbox that wouldn’t be terrible maybe maybe but we already have a pretty good Sunday tournament you do you do that’s the only flaw there we do like uh Derek likes to do the holiday ones like that the popups I’m a big fan of that yeah for sure mix it up a bit you know yeah something different than a ball on the bar box you know mhm three more balls for Jordan to get out I love this format but I’m not going to lie I was really hoping I didn’t have to touch this small table over here yeah but we’ll have some fun it’s okay of course it’s always nice when you can just kind of cruise undefeated through a tournament you you know H yeah not like it’s ever a cruise but you definitely want to stay on the a side does not always happen Okay so this ball and then uh just like five minutes guys don’t go too far I think we’ll probably reset hey yeah can reset for doe for a reset great match by these two like we said don’t go too far we’re just going to do a quick reset and we’ll be back in 5 10 minutes don’t go far for
