hello and welcome to the week four top 120 show we’ll jump straight into it so first of all I’m going to leave this up for a little bit feel free to pause and read it or go back to my previous video if you want to hear me talk through it but I’m going to move on for now so the first 30 players first of all I want to point out that 14 from the top 20 from week four have made onto this page I think that’s really good for showing that the top 20 players are able to be consistent early in the season big weeks do push up quite quickly you can see that again some really strong weeks that let you jump over players that are either injured or had a bad week and then I want to point out that the top 30 cut off is 290 points down there with FRS the players that I want to point out is first of all yic Trey young and Lillard who all scored zero this period but they are still sticking in that top 30 yic didn’t play at all in week four but Trey young and Lillard did play but missed a couple of games and they still because they missed some games they fell outside of the 120 because they didn’t provide that much value however they asked sitting in there we’d expect them to maybe jump up a few more points as they play and have strong weeks the other one I want to point out is Donovan Mitchell who was sometimes being drafted in that first round but people were also pushing him down and he’s had some lower usage on Cleveland this year with all of the other stars a loaded lineup and they’re playing really well however because he’s been consistent and performing in all of the weeks he’s able to be up here at 11: a lot of the other star players have actually dropped down due to missing games I haven’t started here but what I would have also been mention as you can see Luca has actually jumped up above yic and that’s because he’s been able to produce in each week I think on per game averages and even weekly he gets penalized a little bit too much because of his percentages but you can see that overall Luca is about there where we’d expect the next 30 Kevin Durant I’ve starred him because he’s missed two weeks I believe uh maybe two and a half but he’s sitting really strong still at 302nd on the season so hopefully he can come back and then start pushing back up but KD had some massive weeks to start and that’s why he’s able to hold his value Josh hard as well has been quite consistent getting all of the canning shots and and that consistency has allowed him to be here playing massive minutes whereas a lot of other players have a lot more variability Dyson Daniels has had a monster start to the season with defensive stats but then a couple of really strong scoring games and that’s jumped him up he’s in 42nd for the season so he’ll be someone that we want to watch who’s having a break at you’re in Atlanta and can he actually hold that top 50 value or if he does actually start to slide down or if he can even slide up into the top 30 then yanes Janes gets penalized on the Z scul rankings week by week because of his free throw percentage in week four he had really good free throw and that’s allowed him to jump up massively if you’ve got a team that is punting free throws then obviously his value jumps up a lot finally the top 60 cut off is 186 points with halberton the next thir 30 so I think some of these players are starting to really build into their season and are going to start to climb up the ranks they started a little bit poorly or miss some games and so that’s why they’re behind the eight ball I think the few that I want to point out here are ma Bridges Jaylen Brown and Jaylen Brunson they all started a little bit slowly and they’re also on teams two of them on the Knicks and then Jaylen Brown on the Celtics on teams with a lot of players so dich can go a little bit up and down a bit hard to find but they are starting to build into their season climb the ranks into that top 60 and that top half of the players here buddy heals the other one I’ve got starred because he started extremely hot from three scoring a lot of points and that drove his value through the roof however now he’s got zero points with more players Steph is back and also the Warriors are playing well they’re shifting around sharing whoever’s hot on that night buddy heeld is actually falling down he’s still at 62nd on the season so he’s going to need players to come and overtake him the final group here again the few things I want to notice is 14 of them scored zero so in this last bracket as well these are plays that could just fall outside of the top 120 whether that’s through not playing or just they did not provide enough value in eight cat said score ranking the other one is I want to point out the players I’ve got the number wrong on the slide but the four players that I think are star caliber Paul George Brandon Miller Tyrus Maxi and Desmond Bane that are in this group they’ve missed time with injury and they’ve been pushed down because of that so these four we would expect to push up and out of this last 30 bracket moving on to look at what this looks like visually Tatum is the clear leader so far sitting up the top with yic not playing in week four the next one is there’s a drop off after about 10 players now I expect as we get more and more weeks into the season that this kind of top Echelon of players is going to be quite defined and then there’ll be a drop off and I think that’s because there only a subset of players in the league that are able to produce at that top 20 value week after week we can see that some players if they have a week off or they have a week where they only score 60 they’re going to fall back into the distribution but like your Tatum your James Harden your Shay they’re producing that top 20 value each week and even top 10 value each week and that’s why they’re in this kind of top bracket and I think that will get more and more defined as we get to week seven and 8 I also want to say again the cut off is at 63 and that’s a plus 17 from last week being the amount of points you need to enter the top 120 I think that’s really interesting to see how this value is growing because you could argue that the 120th player only needed to jump one point but in reality the player that was 120th needed to jump 17 points in order to stay in the rankings and I think the change will be really interesting once we get further into the season so that the cut off is maybe 15 50 or 200 because then it’s not going to be as easy for players to have a one we outlier and then jump immediately in cool that’s it thanks for watching as always comment any feedback and subscribe for more weekly analysis thank you
