monster is Malcolm brogo Brogden as the Wizards turn themselves back to the Wizards dedicating minutes resources shots to washed up hacks like Brogden no no offense seems like a good guy one of the best teammates you could ever have absolutely no business taking shots or minutes away from play but they’re trying to win no they’re not no they’re not and not sure brog and leer there but anyway he’s getting minutes he is added sure let’s do it right let’s see what actually happens here the Wizards have got an interesting schedule as well for this week coming up and that makes sense now brogon may not play 30 games this season which is okay as well but the fact that they’re prioritizing him is stupid but it’s also something that stupidity aside you you need to take you need to pay attention to that for fans you need to make that sort of a move I didn’t know that they would do it I wasn’t sure where it would go and there that’s where we are the second most added player over the last 48 hours is the big Fowler himself the dancing bear Gerson yabas because he started the last game with Joel embiid out and guess what Joel embiid is out I don’t know that he’ll start in the game on Sunday at the time of me recording this that hasn’t been announced it might be Andre Drummond but with no Paul George yabas can play the four he can play the five there are opportunities there now they’ve got a two game week next week so I don’t think that’s super exciting to be be holding on to Gerson so it feels like just a one- day sort of situation on Yahoo the most added players uh this is last 24 hours number one is Timothy John McConnell yeah you get those assists you get those steals he plays on Sunday with Ben Shepard with nce Smith with n hard all out yeah we do go that direction and that’s what TJ does and when players are out you stream him in when players are back you drop him off and then Marshall also the second most had to play which honestly little bit of a surprise Naji was pretty good last game I I don’t I don’t hate adding Naj Marshall I think it’s totally okay it’s just like a short-term stream thing that chases a little bit of the last game and people will look at that and go well luuka was out look what Marshall did that means he’ll do it every single game and again just to be very clear maybe he does there’s also no guarantee of that we’ve also seen Naji Marshall plenty of times even with PJ Washington out at times he would start and then he’ do nothing and then he would come off the bench and he would do nothing and then he’d have a big game coming off the bench and it’s a little bit all over the place no problem without Marshall no worries at all but much like with g or even T.J McConnell there’s no real long-term value In Those ads on fan track’s the most added player and they have a time frame of over the next seven days or the last seven days sorry the most added player is Dolton connect in the middle of the week that made sense and then Ru hamura returned and JJ riik did the thing that coaches do all the time they lie and they I don’t know if they lie I don’t know if lying is the correct word but maybe they don’t understand the implications of their word and that’s what I am sometimes here to do I’m trying to interpret that because this will happen time and time and Time and Time and Time and Time Again the coaches will say something and logic 240 game whatever it is I just sit there and go well that’s we can hearken back to like three years ago when Alvin Gentry was coaching the Pelicans and Drew holiday was coming back off I believe it was his shin stress reaction injury maybe yeah I think it was that that’s what it was and he was coming off the bench and some absolute kicker was starting I don’t remember who it was maybe he was Alfred pton maybe we’re to those days and the people were questioning why are you bringing Drew Off the Bench and Elvin well actually actually guys it’s so much easier to give Drew more minutes when he comes off the bench versus starting you go all right that sounds good in theory it’s blatantly wrong but like what are you talking about it’s like and so this is a long way of getting to this thing about D connect is it immediately ruy hamura classically mid player who is incredibly mid and I’m using mid the way that you you would use it to mean bad he’s not very good like at all no surprise the Lakers got pumped by 20 plus points um and their defense is horrendous and that’s what happens when you don’t change the roster at all and expect things to change shout out to the Lakers you’re a Lakers hater yep yep okay um anyway am I fired up this morning a little bit a lot of coffee just firing in here at uh 7:00 a.m. as I record the show what am I actually saying I’m talking about this thing so Don K moved to the bench and R hamura starts and and JJ reck says says yeah Dalton’s moving to the bench but his role his role is going to remain the same okay that that’s great but it’s not and it never was he played 38 minutes the game before and I believe top of my head he led the team in shots and that is just impossible to do it’s impossible the next game he had nine points played 28 minutes coming off the bench because it is impossible to do that but coaches will blow smoke right up your ass and if you’re not to in your interpretation of the information they thrown out there you’ll believe it you’ll believe it it is not you I know most of you smart but It Like It Is Well we can and this is a part the conundrum in playing fantasy do you believe what a coach says how do you know when they’re lying usually when they open their mouth but how do you know when they’re lying so yeah doton connect most added player played really well we had worries about it if he’s not shooting 50% from three and playing 38 minutes and and getting lot of shots and they’re feeding him and this is a thing that we have to pay attention to with JJ is that when something is happening and a guy is shooting hot JJ’s going to feed him the ball the whole time that is what he’s done so far and that is something to watch when someone has a big game did they shoot really well Mike Brown style early on and then they everything just got fed to them yeah LeBron telling us that 5 years ago before dton connect was you know uh out of or even into high school that he knew he was going to be a Lakers Legend and you people say on the internet that LeBron lies but you know he knew he knew straight away um all this all this propaganda that gets chucked out by players and coaches and of course Amplified by the Lakers why am I ranting about this dton connect was the most added player I added him in a lot of spots because once someone’s hot and you’re rolling with that you you you do it and and you see it and while he’s starting it’s there and then he moves to the bench and now I don’t know that we need to hold him sorry about all that Zack Collins the most added second most added player on the fan track so we know why WBY was out W is back so we go and move on from Zack Collins very very easy stuff there the two most dropped players on b monster over the last 48 hours number one is Delano Banton it’s the 240 game guys it’s just Banton can do stuff if he gets 25 minutes but Simons is back Kamar was there sharp is playing scoot didn’t even play in the last game and Bon barely played Bon was a dnp CD early this season Banton will have value at some point this year and you stream him in but you I get these questions man why is Bon only projected for 10 minutes because it’s actually impossible to play him 20 minutes when everyone’s there so yeah we move on from that and the second one there is Bob Carrington which brings us to a a further point on this but the Brogden one I think Bob is is a good player obviously I had him really high in this draft class he had a pretty strong start to the fantasy season but he is a rookie guard he was not a top 100 player and now he is coming off the bench and at some point he will start again I’m very certain of this but your ability to stash someone like that depends on bench size League size daily versus weekly games cap stash ability cuz he’s not going to be a top 100 guy in the short term if he’s coming off the bench it’s just not going to be likely he wasn’t when he was starting and playing 33 minutes so dropping him is totally reasonable this brings us to I guess the biggest story of the day which we didn’t know but we knew yday that’s Grant Williams who has torn his ACL along with other uh ligaments this is a it’s a bad one obviously it looked bad at the time that is obviously season over it’s probably 12 months I would guess for him and he was in a really really strong position so he’s been dropped and he should be dropped the question is you who are the replacement there and I will talk about that in a second and there are a little bit more nucy things to talk about with that but Grant Williams very clear drop sad news for Grant cuz there was an opportunity here and he was playing pretty well Zack Collins most dropped on Yahoo yes that is the 24-hour versus 7-Day difference there between the Yahoo and Fant tracks numbers and on fan tracks the two most dropped players are Jose alado yep he’s jacked in even 16 team leagues I would say and DeAnthony Melton much like Grant Williams is also done for the year I’m going to come back and tell you about guys that we can add in must the players and guys that you can consider droppable as well as injury wire decisions to make and that is mus roster how m i determining this well you know it’s a very flexible set of rules that I use but basically what I look at is over the next two weeks is there anyone that sort of stands out as an under 40% Yahoo guy who is in a top 100 Zone I think we’ve figured out that 55% of Yahoo leagues are active around that Mark Jared McCain wouldn’t have been drafted in any of them and he’s sitting at 55% rosted that seems about right right 55% so I think if I look at a 40% Yahoo cut off it gives us an idea of guys who are going to be available for some leagues but not for everybody and gives us a good opportunity to take a look at it so the number one name on this list is Musa diabete and I’m just I don’t know if you guys like this feeling but I’m going to pour some cold water over your heads maybe you do maybe it’s a really hot environment you need that that release of that cold you know that cold shower burst you have that people sometimes you know tout as like this is a great way to start your day it’s a terrible way to start your day it does feel disgusting but when you get out actually does feel good it’s like the old ice bath anyway sidetrack this is an outrageously ridiculous show that I’m doing at the moment M let’s pour the cold water on he’s on a 2-way contract so meaning he has got a maximum of 50 games that he can play for the season pay attention to that but there is a chance and this can happen this is where we get into this and we had the problem last year who was the bloke the bloody Jordan Goodwin Jordan Goodwin was playing for Memphis and we’re starting all these games and we had to the one game would’ be in and one game would be out and same with try jerson because they had to maintain the the gamees played and they didn’t want to sign them to full-time contracts necessarily we have to play that game on it de bate has currently been active for 16 games which means 34 games remaining he has got but they can sign him to a full contract at any point if they want to in the short term there is no Mark Williams there is no Nick Richards there is no miles Bridges and there is no Grant Williams so their big men are Taj Gibson Madia and rookie Tish an Salan so yeah we have to add di but I think it’s only a short-term thing because Richards Williams Bridges all return this man is a 17 minute a night backup power forward maybe and I believe that they will give those minutes to Salan anyway in about a month so yes for the short term we do look at dear bet but watch how much of your load you blow on this one for your Fab watch who you drop be very cautious it’s going to be pretty solid now he also might Reggie Evans it and have two points and 18 rebounds with two Steals and two blocks which is good for some and not for others but there is cold water to pour on this and it’s also not one of those things they’ll definitely convert him to a full-time contract CU they need him because again he would be the third string Center and maybe the third string power forward when Bridges Williams Richards and then against Salan jumps up so it’s great for now but it is for now for now the other one there is Jaden McDaniels who much like when we talk Patrick Williams this man has let us down for years and years and years and years and if you wanted me to give you a tired old joke you could say maybe we have Jaden McDaniels carrying us at our funeral so he can let us down one more time oh right he’s done it many times in fantasy but he’s on a real hot streak the minutes are up great we absolutely rosted Jaden McDaniels right now and then if he goes back to being Jaden McDaniels and on this wolves team it’s very different to previous wolves teams I actually have a bit of confidence in Jaden sticking with this he is if I I had prioritize between Di and McDaniels I would choose McDaniels even though di is going to be better in the short term I’m very confident with that but we’re looking to prioritize a little bit more longer term value I think but again your individual circumstances might necessitate I need something bang right now no one will grab McDaniels we’re fine I’m in to T Tam he’ll sit there on the wre and that’s okay as well that’s okay as well but I think with what we’re getting at the moment from Jaden he’s someone to look at now the next list is the dropable list now before I show you before I tease you with this list remember you don’t have to drop these players you don’t you absolutely do not have to drop them they are just names if they’re sitting on your roster and if you’re thinking maybe I want to add DE maybe jayen McDaniels is someone for me to have a look at maybe I’m taking a crack at malcol brogon that if one of these guys sits on your roster you shouldn’t look at them and go Noe can’t drop them that’s what droppable means droppable is very different to you must drop drop will just means that if to me if the players on your roster and if any of these guys are on my roster I look at them and go yeah like if I if if you have to be moved on from like I think we’ll be good I think yeah it’s all going to be okay you it’s it’s cool that’s how I view that you know me chill guy over here like that stupid dog meme um I got do connect there like I said I believe it was the right ad the right move to add him added him in four or five leagues did it I wanted to see what would happen everything was being talked positive positively and at some point you’ve leave a little bit of what coaches say but if the shots weren’t there he didn’t have a lot to back him up and now he’s back on the bench and he camish isn’t good and R hatur is not good I don’t think D connects that good but connect could easily jump ahead of those players but if you did want to move on it’s okay to do that his upside is not super super Sky High unless you’re shooting 60% from three John kaminga there’s just no point right kaminga needs 28 minutes and really good usage I I I got this one dead wrong for a couple of reasons not that I thought kaminga is a good player because I I don’t and I I never really have but I thought that he would have to step up to be the number two usage player on this team with Clay gone I thought he would have to do that and Steve K said absolutely not you’re playing 20 minutes T night coming off the bench and they’re winning so there there is nothing to this idea and I’ve heard this spouted in many different spots well Steve Kerr is actually just playing him fuel minutes and giving him no shots so they can suppress his price so they can resign him for cheaper in the NBA let me just tell you now this is not a thing that happens ever it doesn’t happen ever it’s it is not a thing there is not a single team or coach or front office who does that in the NBA there are some at times there are some scummy things they might do in order to not you know to not play a player but in general you’ll see the opposite where a player might have some sort of random bonus in their contract if they hit 38% from three they get an extra $200,000 and then a coach if there’s nothing to play for in a game will say okay we’re good if you don’t shoot threes in this game so you can keep your percentage high that is what happens they will they will go out of their way to pay that bonus or you’ve got to you’ve got to play 70 games and here we’re going to arest you but play one minute and come out they will do that right teams do that for the players they don’t do the opposite to piss off a player and an agency and teammates they don’t do any of that stuff it doesn’t happen maybe maybe I’m wrong and you’ve got a very Ironclad example of this happening it does not happen it it just doesn’t the the one time I think you could say that maybe you could see a team that was trying to do that and this sort of did happen a little bit so like I’ll Grant you this one is when Dante de venzo was on the Kings and they wouldn’t start him in order to keep his qualifying offer below the starter criteria so that there was a smaller cap hit on the qualifying offer right that’s that that did happen but you know what that did it it pissed him off and he just left it didn’t help them at all and they’re the Kings right didn’t help them at all but that’s the only sort of thing that again we are sidetracking like crazy here anyway drop on kaminga there’s nothing there he doesn’t get rebounds or assists or steals or blocks in enough quantities he doesn’t shoot well his percentages are Dreadful he needs a lot of volume and he’s not getting it so see you later I also don’t believe dandre Hunter is a must roster player Hunter will have the big game the 20 points on 60% shooting with one rebound he’ll do that have the occasional flash of steals I just think that he is a stream level guy on the similar level to a Jaden m Daniels which is I actually think Jaden’s a little bit higher than DeAndre at the moment deandre’s also got a billion injury problems and he’s still coming off the bench so yeah I don’t think he’s a must roster player I don’t think Klay Thompson is either and I think that’s relatively self-explanatory I will say this about clay he is horrible as a general rule in November and December and he often goes on January February 48% three-point heated so be aware of that but also he doesn’t do anything else so you’d be waiting for this High three-point volume guy who doesn’t close games all the time struggles defensively and offers nothing else there is no reason I believe I’d much rather stream Malik beasleyan than have Klay Thompson and the same goes for Klay Thompson’s replacement budrick heeld this was again it’s one of the more obvious things and it’s one of the things that gets somewhat hidden and we get swept up in the emotion of Buddy heeld cooking shout out to Hoops Hypes Global rating of Buddy heill being a top 10 NBA player um that when he’s hitting 70% from three of them goes look at buddy he hit 7 threes he played 50 minutes he had 22 points what an unbelievable replacement this guy is so good he’s awesome yeah okay now he’s still playing 20 minutes tonight he’s getting 10 points a game he’s shooting 30% from the field and he offers nothing else and that is absolutely useful for you it’s it’s it’s useless actually that’s the word it’s nothing it’s it’s pointless and we have seen this time and time and time again how many times we have to see it buddy heeld needs 24 usage in 32 minutes to be a consistent 12 Team league player and he’s getting either of those so you know what you do you move on he gets hot you bring him back and I guess Bob’s your uncle maybe budd’s your uncle and I am actually finally there on DJ Russell get that Gage out of here he took me there I can’t with this anymore we are 5 weeks in he’s been benched for two three weeks he playing few minutes than ever um if there’s an injury that happens or a trade maybe something happens and you can hold again with any of these guys can hold if you believe but I I’ve been burnt by the D’Angelo Russell benching again fool me once fool me twice this is three times now and I’m out like if he comes back and has a Steph Curry Run of top 20 value like happened last year and I look like the dumbest idiot in the world then so be it every piece of evidence suggests that a it’s not going to happen B that the team seems to hate him C he’s not that good see you later DLo finally finally I guess yeah I guess see you later we’re going to come back week and why we should or shouldn’t care the pencil Harrison Barnes Bary um he’s the 50th ranked player over the last week so obviously there’s a little bit of uh weirdness going on and Barnes does this if you’ve been in the Harrison Barnes business before a I’m sorry for you but B you know this you get a little stretch of three or four games during a season where he goes crazy he scores 20 points a game he shoots 65% he might even block a shot here and there he probably won’t but he might and that’s great and while players are out like Vel and uh there are opportunities there but I just I just don’t care it’s a very hot run from Barnes and again anyone who’s on a hot run do connect you can stream them in that’s what you do with barns do it cool don’t think about it long term same goes with milk time your ti your own value because lta’s been out Mitchell rest of the game Garland rest of the game um aoro has been out and they’re just giving a little bit more to milk he shooting about 70% from three and that is only a marginal exaggeration his assist rate is really good his steel rate is really good and all this stuff I believe is going to come down he’s the 54th rank player that’s ridiculous and you would look at that and go very clear 12 team guy and I’d say no no it’s not it’s okay to stream him in it’s okay to use him when the the time is right on the right day and all that stuff but as a long-term proposition as an 18-minute and ey player there’s just no way that he is going to remain a 12 team League guy don’t care anything about it it’s just not going to happen shortterm go for it no problem same with Isaiah Stewart old elf the Flaming galar is the 74th ranked player over the last week why because Jaylen Duran sucks and yeah he does suck he’s bad he is Stewart good no he’s not but at the moment Jaylen Duran is terrible he he’s playing poorly his defense is a real problem and Stewart is out playing him time and time again and honestly if John Blair b sta wants to win games Stewart needs to start I don’t know that he’ll do that in fact I’m pretty sure he won’t but I had this fear in the offseason I had it in the preseason I was very worried and I am an absolute Isaiah Stewart hater clearly very clearly very for a very long time hater he’s better than Duren so would I add Isaiah Stewart 74th rank player suggest yes bench roll suggests no better player than Duran suggests yes that’s two yeses to one no um if I’m in a 14 Team league I absolutely would at Isaiah Stewart if I’m in a 12 it’s very borderline to me and it’s just it’s on the back of Stewart’s very high block rate and when he played as a four he didn’t do that but as a five he is doing it so to me he he’s very much on the fringes of being a roster B guy for 12 Donovan Clan’s a 78th ranked player over the last week and I just don’t know what to tell you cuz there have been multiple games that Rob Williams has been out DeAndre aton’s been out the whole week and what do they do when there is a three- Center rotation does kinging go back and play 12 minutes 13 minutes last game he had a bit of a knee problem but he had like a weird like zero point was it zero points and 15 rebounds or something and two blocks he is going to be the guy long term later this season getting 25 and I without too much concern I I have doubts about clingan’s long-term overall ability as a as a player and a fantasy guy that’s okay as well for now he’s putting up the numbers I don’t know what happens when Aon returns and we can make that assessment then yeah like let’s do that licky Beasley is the 80th ranked player now that is largely Tim Hardway was out but then Hardway came back and sucked and now Kade is out and Beasley’s the guy that replaced him as they moved Jaden iy over to the one and Malik Beasley much like when we talk about Harrison Barnes he gets on hot streaks and he’s on a massive hot streak and he is clearly at the moment better than Tim Hardway so for now sure like this what I’m talking about back with Klay Thompson I’d much rather have Malik Beasley right now and he will call off and be bad and then we move on to the next hot option who’s a three-point shooter so yeah I think that’s okay and then Kieran Alis is 82nd honestly on the back of literally one game on the back of that what 30 was it 39 Point performance and he played 17 minutes either this is a a deeper League scenario I I think that Salan will grow into a 20 minute a nsh role of course when miles Bridges plays it’s going to be hard for him to get anything that’s valuable but in a short-term deeper league in fact maybe we’re talking about the Double Diamond on Platinum titanium leagues maybe one of those you want to take a look at Salam because there is an opportunity there especially in the short term for him to have increased value i p pton Watson on this is cuz he’s 21% rosted on Yahoo and Aaron Gordon still out 21 is an insanely low number this is an absolute locked in must roster player in your coffee stained envelope rust leagues in your double onx diamond platinum titanium leagues and anything in between he just is a muster player he he just is while wend alata Jr is out goab badad remains a musos to play now last game they really lent heavily into Mo vagna who is close enough to a must roster player he’s sort of streamable but go we just keep rolling with until Wendell is back and honestly until go is taken out of the rotation because I think when Wendell comes back he’ll come off the bench for a game or two and then we might see a think there will be the Orlando Magic an interesting team in terms of reporting they always throw their starting lineups out incredibly early with injury updates incredibly early and they are lowkey one of the worst in providing injury updates on players so no I don’t have anything on Jaylen Suggs whatsoever about whether he’s going to be out they play Monday Wednesday Friday almost zero chance he plays on Monday um yeah I I would guess that he’s out the week so we go with black there with Zack Ed out Brandon Clark is putting up enough numbers and they’ve got enough of a good schedule that you can stream in Brandon CL I would do it over jayh give me 24 minutes over 14 any day of the week Clark is a a bit of a hidden fantasy guy because he’s not like dominating in one category just does enough and I think that he’s worth having and then this is another little bit of an onyx level double Platinum titanium League one but Cameron Payne is actually cooking and maybe maybe campaign was sniped up in your league when he was picked number 14 out of Murray State the original jar back whenever he was and I really liked him as a prospect to be honest um but at the moment he’s playing 7 minutes a night he actually I believe he played some minutes over M bridges in the last game he is like almost a top 100 player over his last four games averaging 122 and 5 on 47% shooting he’s been really good hitting three threes a game and that’s because ju McBride is out and because Tyler KCK is not as good as campaign at this point so campaign actually while Dre McBride is out Cameron Payne has 12 team value which is an insane thing to say but it is 100% true let’s look at some other names LCA doni remains out for Dallas Quenton Grimes was pretty good last game pretty good pretty pretty pretty good now I like Ry a lot of a player he’s a bit hit or miss the role for him as a starter I think locks in with donic out but we’ve seen him in a few starts and the last game he had 14 four and three with two steals that’s pretty good the last time he started he had 10 points and played 21 minutes that’s not as good the game before he started he had 36 minutes he had 15 four and five that’s really good he’s had double digits scoring in two straight games two threes in a row for two threes per game for three games in a row he gets some steals he’s I I I actually do think in the short term that we can use Quenton Grimes I don’t think his upside is super high but he’s I think he’s a really good player and hopefully his knee is able to be okay with Paul George out Kelly UB is someone that people add he was not bad last game they got two games this week I honestly wouldn’t bother with it I just don’t think he’s good enough to deal with for two games a couple of other names here that I need to talk about not necessarily from an ad point of view but like a discuss point of view and they weren’t on the droppable list but Dante Vincenzo is not playing very well at all it is exceedingly difficult as a seventh man to maintain 10 and 12 Team league values and I will keep saying that because it is an idea you need to have in your head always Dante got absolutely overglazed last season playing for the Knicks he did without any question whatsoever he’s a fine player he’s a solid player he had a very good run but the idea of him being a consistent top 50 fantasy guy is crazy and I think a lot of people are holding on based on that thing that they think might be a fact I don’t think you need to OA baji started in the last game even with Scotty Barnes back and even or with and yeah with Scotty barns back they put Barnes at point guard and aaji played like 27 minutes and was not good enough abaji has been historically bad he was very very good to start this season shot well above his usual Norms but unless he’s a 33 minute a night player then he’s not a 12 League guy for me so I I think you move on there even though he’s still starting it has been an incredibly disappointing season from Brandon psky 8 to 10 threes per game apparently according to this guy in the preseason now he plays 15 minutes and and might attempt 10 threes in a in a month what a horrible horrible season so far for him and no we absolutely do not roster him in any 10 or 12 or honestly 14 Team league and then the last one is great a dick it was a nice little run from dick to begin this season we got like that is the best dick that we we have seen so far in his career but as per usual when a player needs big minutes and big usage because multiple players are out he’s not doing anything in rebounds assist steals or blocks as a regular thing then the party will end and the part’s ended Quickly’s not there but Barrett and Barnes are there so the Raptors just don’t need as much Deck as what they were getting early in the season yes I and I think that is relatively obvious now again you do not need to drop Grady dick you can hold on to dick as long as you want that is your own personal business but I just it seems it seemed obvious at the time it seems more obvious now that you need others out otherwise dick becomes just a spot-up guy in the like not necessarily in the corner but a guy that’s low usage who hits some threes and offers very little else and those sort of guys their dime dozen and that is the end possibly the weirdest most unhinged WWI show that I did I
