BCA 10 ball final match of the night so this is my third opponent I have already won four games against the opposing team and I’m looking to go undefeated I want these two games and I’m feeling pretty good I have to be honest um coming back to these conditions after practicing in tougher conditions against very tough opponents like I said I I don’t know all the people who play in this league I know what the competition’s going to be like but at this point I’m just focusing on my game I’m just focusing on playing as well as I can and the days of oh you know I’m going to underestimate my opponent or kind of relax too much because I’m taking this for granted I’m I’m hopeful that those are behind me and I just want to see what’s out there and I want to do my best in all conditions that being said this particular pushout shot is basically a dare against Levi uh great guy by the way Levi and I really hit it off and looking forward to seeing him around this is a dare it’s like hey take this shot I’m I’m tempting you into like playing this one ball getting shape on the two is really tough here there’s just so much that can go wrong and if you play a push like that and your opponent goes for it if they don’t go safe I mean yeah it’s it’s a it’s a tall order but Levi’s on attack mode and he’s going to go for it and he makes a good hit a really good hit on the two ties up the five so things changed a little bit here the two is hanging over the side the swerve might be possible here but I don’t have a good feel for the table even after the few matches that I’ve played I just don’t think I can judge it that well this is a very natural jump so I kind of scout that out to see what it might feel like and we’re going to grab the pogo stick here and you just have to hop over a portion of the eight to get out and around the natural cut angle is going to take you down towards the three if not give you really nice position on the three to continue your run as long as I get a look at the three I should be able to figure out something to go safe have to work on my camera angle get it up a lot higher so good contact on the two get around I have a look at the three you could certainly slice this in I feel like I considered that and it will take you up table as long as you don’t run into anything but if you go safe here send the three up table and leave the Q ball down there ideally under the seven you’re going to give yourself a much better chance of getting out especially because the the five is tied up so I think this is where the patience game comes into play if you just you know go wild and attack the three things might not up for the four and so yeah this is me working my way through that process looking at the five call Safe can we stretch to reach this one don’t like how that feels so let me go get my extension I was definitely trying to get greedy here and leave him under the seven so I overplayed that part of it but the three ball tucks in behind the eight so that definitely worked out it’s the two-way thing that we’ve talked about where when you play safe you can’t really most times you should not try to control object ball and Q ball position too precisely your odds are much better especially amateur level like us you know odds are much better just trying to control for one pretty close maybe a bit more Pace or a bit of spin to kind of tighten that up so do you break this out off the three or the four or neither and play short side on the five because the five does go in the left side I decide to get under the four and play for the breakout if you play kind of towards into the seam here between the five and the nine at least as long as it’s full enough into the N you shouldn’t hook yourself behind the n and just a little bit of pace to make sure the CQ ball comes back out after contact played pretty full into the five I was hoping for the five in the side but I do actually have the cut angle whoa I have the cut angle on the five to come out and back and the Q Ball’s naturally going to want to come down table because I’ll use a bit of a high ball here so it’ll yeah come let me see if I can get clean with my mouse here down and out under the six for the six in the right hand side maybe a touch of inside here like high right just a correct for that yeah that goes pretty well that works we’re slightly off angle on the six but I think same kind of thing a little bit of inside’s going to correct that so go high right and it’ll straighten things out and you want to just come basically out yeah a little bit of an angle on the seven to work back around for the eight coming up table for the eight to play that in the side this is a good sign though I’m kind of flowing through I’m not overthinking my position and you could certainly go around the 10 ball there but then it’s going to tighten up the angle a bit too much and you’ll be on the other side of the eight I kind of like just coming into the short Rail and back up brings the side pocket into play but as long as you know your angles shouldn’t shouldn’t be an issue High inside again straighten this out come up pretty tidy for the nine I definitely have a better feel for my speed by this point in the match I’m on the wrong side of the nine but it’s not a big deal you just play a stop shot and accept a bit bit of a cut on the 10 so I come over to look at it just to make sure it’s not going to be too terrible but you can make this work I want it to be a little straighter on the nine or even on the outside of the nine to make the 10 unmissable but I’m not going to miss this ball either that’s one on this on the board here yeah I got to figure out my break got to practice this a little bit so far this night of League that’s five games out of six so let’s see if we can grab this last one use the template see that it’s always alternate break too that’s the other thing I didn’t mention about the format is the home team breaks first in most in most of the sets maybe all the sets makes a good shot on the one ball something I noticed about Levi and we talked about it a little after the match is he really he really got fired up playing me um some players if they’re down or they’re having a bad night or you know their perception of their opponent is like I got to I got to play this guy and that’s kind of intimidating or whatever it can kind of throw them off I’ve certainly had that effect you know I’ll play like that monster guy in my region or something it’s like oh jeez I got to really step things up and that can cause to just get nervy and shaky and then you play way worse than you need to but yeah to Levi’s credit he he came with it he was really really going for it almost makes this two ball he did let me know that he was trying to play the two off the four and like I said yeah it’s it’s a called pocket you know just ball and Pocket game but it’s a good thought because he had enough of an angle on the two to get it towards the four but it it must not have gone clean past the 10 in this case we’re a little funky the nine Ball’s going to help though so I remember looking at this and the two Ball’s thin but if the Q goes into the nine and Taps it on the top side of the nine here it will send you slightly down table towards the three yeah kind of into that line these can be hard to judge but make the ball and then accept what you get but for the most part this this kind of thing should be predictable yeah nice so yeah super thin on the two to make it and then the nine ball naturally just sort of nudged me back out now I have a good look at the three and then a good angle on the four to take me back up for the five we should get out from here six to the Seven’s maybe the only weird part because the Eight’s sort of in the way of the natural path but as long as you get sufficiently above the six it should not be a problem good confident touch on that we’re on the wrong side of the five so this complicates things we wanted to be under the five so that drawing back up off the five would get us above the six in this case you can play that draw you know play the five pretty full draw back up and out to get above the six again we are way up table but luckily we’re on the right side of the six to where I can Hammer this in Play the full again big Pockets play to the left side of the pocket stunning out to at least give myself a look at the seven but things are getting a little choppy here we have to elevate just slightly I kind of like these though these will settle me down I probably could have gotten a bit more out of that to be honest it looked like I played it pretty Center but we’ve got a good look at the seven you’re going to be turning the cube ball loose here so if you go with high left which I think is indicated you come back out and around it’s a four rail position shot basically one two I think you need to let it out even more three four to come back around for the eight really let the stroke out on that this is just silly speed uh just m hit it still makeable right like grand scheme of things this is still makeable and we can still get out from here if you stay level on this eightball and stroke through it you can get back above the N but yeah shoot it into the point I think that will I think I’ll clean that up as I go because I’m having to get a feel for the equipment again like I said being used to much tighter conditions and now basically have to relearn what I can get away with which like I said you know maybe there’s some downsides to that but in this format I think as long as I have you know certain modes of thinking about it like in these conditions I can get away with this and elsewhere I have to keep it really tight meanwhile I got to roll again and I leave Levi in a pretty tough position the 810 combo plays but it’s tough there’s a lot of distance if you did play the combo I might be tempted to take the combo here but I think if you play it the Eight’s going to lay up he’s going cross corner with the eight opens things up a little bit yeah he tried to go cross Corner leaves me on the eight and I do have it past the 10 I take a second to look at this and I remember this one because I was actually wondering if it would go clean but you don’t have to play it clean in fact taking advantage of this slight back cut is going to give you better shape on the nine but these trick me sometimes guys this this kind of thing where I’m shooting past a ball I’m not sure why that gets me so often I really need to work on it that’s that’s what it comes comes down to I just need more time practicing that kind of shot where trust your alignment you know just like cue through it Levi makes a great shot on the eight to get on the nine good position on the nine here you do have to let your stroke out a little bit on this one because you’re probably going to have to play short side on the 10 yeah he comes out a little low and this is tough It’s makeable but it’s tough oh overcut doesn’t dress up anything super easy but this is makeable this is just take your time bear down I don’t think it was in my mind at all that this would give me those six games for the night you don’t need to be thinking about that stuff right just make the ball thin cut maybe a maybe a slightly high ball just stay level it good that was a good one week one of BCA six for six feels pretty good um like I said I I like the format the equipment is going to be interesting it’s going to be a bit of an adjustment coming back to this but I think it could be a good thing overall for all the reasons that I mentioned so thanks for checking this out again let me know if you like this format where it’s just sort of more episodic like splitting up the week into multiple videos um hopefully that’s digestible for everybody and you like that but yeah we’re going to keep at it this is a weekly league and so pretty much every Tuesday I’m going to be recording some new content and then hopefully the week after we’ll be spitting that out for you guys so stay tuned enjoy the next one and I’ll see you again
