with Lisa bton on that Stephen tell you what you kind of joked around we did during our pregame show you said what if Giannis needed 70 yeah to get this one done and Giannis ends up with 42 and they really need all of that effort here tonight as it turns out yeah exactly didn’t have 70 points but was responsible for obviously probably about that many points with the assists and the rebounds and the second chance points and I just think this is the kind of game where there there really is a spectacle in it although they’ve lost so many games in a row 14th game in a row Washington I think just seeing what Giannis is able to do against a team that yes is not the best team in the league maybe the worst but they’re all professionals and they’ve all been game planning they all been going through shoot around for playing against Giannis and he’s able to go out and have a game like that and it’s not just him out there but I think it’s just a it’s just one way of I think witnessing just how special he is and on a night in Night Out basis he missed the last game against Miami the team was able to get that win but then Giannis is back and it’s it’s it’s kind of magic watching this guy and you just kind of wonder where he can take this team after the start that this season had losing six games in a row you just wonder you see him do this tonight you go I think I think this team’s going to be all right especially when Yannis is out there I’ll tell you what Washington was pretty physical tonight uh with Milwaukee we saw that from from beginning to end here in this one and it goes back to the old aage there are no bad teams in this league and you know at some point probably real soon Washington is going to pull one off um they came close here tonight to be quite Frank I got to correct you Craig there are some bad teams in this league there’s just no bad players no I mean you think about some of these guys right SAR is the second pick in the draft you got guys like Johnny Davis that were at Wisconsin getting buckets and he’s not even playing but you realize if you bring him off the bench and he comes in this is a guy we’ve witnessed be a really special All-Star level player that gets paid millions of dollars and so they’ve got guys that can step up kisser can come in and bang down some shots you got Jordan P who can have eight points against the Clippers last game and he can come out have a big time night and if he gets hot at the right time late in the game and he makes some deep shots they could beat the Milwaukee Bucks on a night like this where they keep it close and so it’s just always interesting you never know what you’re going to see and so you know not to correct your craigers but I mean the Washington Wizards are a pretty bad team all right well you’re on the record on that one that’s all I’ve got to say uh let’s uh get down to the floor right now Melanie Rick standing by with Tori and Prince got a lot to talk about here tonight but he had a big game a lot of big threes of course in this one assisted from Yannis down the stretch as well uh let’s go down to mail TP another win here at fer Forum now for you guys every win is a big one it’s a total team effort can you talk about the trust that’s continuing to build amongst you and your teammates uh yeah we just got to keep building it game to game and uh Peak at the right time well and speaking of trust Giannis he’s getting double and triple team he finds you behind the arc for that shot how does it feel to get something like that from him and what does they feel like having that communication on the court a man well we know the team everybody every team got a double them just knowing your spots knowing where to be and uh doing your job of hitting shots heading on the road next you’re going to Detroit it’s going to be the final group play game you guys are undefeated right now in the NBA cup can you talk about what it’s going to take to get that win there on the road uh just being us coming in with a defensive mindset and um win the game thanks TP most definitely thank you all right nice game from torian Prince here tonight and a nice game with the ball movement and scoring Hoops our habish habish and Routier numbers that work the assist to made field goals 31 assists for Milwaukee 44 made field goals really doesn’t get much better than that a full game no it doesn’t and I think just seeing who is the assist leaders out here is very telling you got Giannis with 11 assists you got Dame with 10 so 21 of the teams 31 assists are coming from the guys who are reading that there’s double teams that they’re blitzing the pick and roll coverages and they’re making sure they find those Shooters and it’s beautiful to see a Bobby Portis transition knock down a big three it’s beautiful to see Brook Lopez knock those down for AJ Green to come off and really deliver and I think that’s really the difference from what we saw early in the season when the team was 2 and8 it was Giannis and Dame putting up some really big numbers they were scoring a lot they were combining for 50 60 points together but the other guys just weren’t quite finding their roles quite and they were just missing shots to be honest and so that’s certainly what we’ve seen turn is guys make some shots and the stars have continue to pass it all right down Bernard’s big money moment look no further than Giannis another triple double for Giannis here 42 points 12 rebounds and 11 assists as we take a look at the big guys 48th career triple double and 30 of those points coming in the paint tonight for Onis well you can just tell from the first possession of the game he was going to be on the attack like he should be because you have S A rookie who’s trying to stop him and be in his way you saw Jonas Valen Shas tried his best but jannis as Lisa throughout the game was was reeling off how many dunks he had but some of those beautiful finishes as well I think you just saw Giannis understand look we know how we’ve continued to win there’s been a lot of different guys engaged scoring the ball featuring different guys at different times AJ Bobby poris Brook Lopez Gary Trent Jr torian prince it’s important that those guys stay engaged it cannot just be Giannis scoring 70 points it’s not a sustainable version for the season and a lot of times not even just within a game but you also saw this was a Wizard’s team that just didn’t have an answer for him and so when Yiannis gave a little Shimmy Shake or he put his shoulder down he got to where he wanted and you’re never going to be mad at him for going and throwing that thing down like he did so good to see him as dominant as he was and still end up with a double digit assist night looked like you could have had 70 I’ll tell you that yeah for sure did uh Dame Lillard in this game uh 25 points 10 assists coming off a great 37-point game on Tuesday as the Bucks win both of their games here in Thanksgiving week but uh Dame look like Dame tonight well done you know he did and look this is the duo Yiannis and Dame that averages the most combined points 58 points per game so to see these guys go for 67 points combined tonight you know Dame because Giannis has this huge 40p Point triple double is going to be overshadowed a little bit but let’s just look at what Dame has continued to do since he came back from that concussion where his points have just continued to ramp up 18 points 20 points every game it went up and up until he had 37 when Yannis was out against Miami and now again he has a really solid 25-point night double digit assists continues to be consistent and more than anything I think found his fit found his role I think we’ve seen it in these last couple weeks as he was out I think it just feels like he saw the way the team was playing and how he could integrate himself back in this team is better when Dame is out there scoring the ball making shots at volume but also his ease of the way he’s continued to make those three-point shots has just been huge but the fit you can see Giannis and Dame just there just seems to be a different ease about them on the court together so he has a a double double in five of the six games on this six-game winning streak for Milwaukee but I’ll tell you what tonight uh and I know Bucks fans are frustrated by this a little bit we saw what looked like numerous uh and one opportunities or shooting fouls on Dame and they didn’t get anything I mean this is becoming a little perplexing isn’t it yeah it’s you know it really is I I do think it’s a it’s an example of guys in this league being so good especially the Superstar stars like Dame is being so good at being able to kind of manipulate the rules and find ways to get to their strengths which is in Dame’s case the free throw line and so you find a way you go my scoring average could go from 20 to just about 30 points per game if I keep getting fouled and so he’s found a way to get that contact and to go up into a shot and a lot of times they call it on the ground and obviously it’s definitely the league it’s something they’ve really looked close at where did the the contact take place is it what once you were shooting you got hit or did you get bumped and then shoted and I think that’s the final line these referees are burdened with with Dame but I have a feeling he’s going to keep putting that pressure on him until he gets more free throws cuz he just about doesn’t miss when he gets there obviously he’s not changing his game that’s for sure I don’t think so League’s going to have to adjust to him there you go there you go all right we’re going to take a break here and come back with more uh win for Milwaukee their six straight this time over
