welcome into our Saints postgame show the Saints get the win 1411 over the Giants up at MetLife Stadium alongside Scott Shanley Amar and Summers it is great to be back in the wind column three of the last four games where the Saints have ended up with W’s which means they are still alive for the NFC South kind of crazy but there is a chance what did you like about the way the saints were able to close this game well I I think just that just the fact that there were a lot of saints made mistakes the giants made a ton of mistakes and but today the Saints capitalize on those mistakes and it got all the way down there at the end and and they made plays when they had to and the Giants shot themselves in the foot a bunch of times with a ton of penalties today the turnover ratio was kind of even and it was a sluggish game for the most part neither team could get it going but when it all said and done we talk about all the time there’s in the NFL it’s really six to seven plays that really swing these games and you go back in that game you can probably find two or three plays and and and that was the the determining factor in the game in the last two minutes Demario Davis has an interception on lock as the Giants were going down the field attempting to at least tie or take the lead here in the last few minutes and then the very last play of the game Brian brazie comes up with a huge block of a field goal attempt by the Giants to tie it those two plays alone in the last couple minutes the Saints have been preaching finishing the way that Demario Davis was able to step Step Up Brian breaze has been continuing to improve throughout the season it it just speaks to how this team is continuing to grow week in and week out yeah and that’s why I I think you know we talk about the little things that nobody really pays much attention to because come draft time nobody talks about players character or and their leadership ability but those things all matter and the Saints have great character guys in the locker room nobody’s getting ready for offseason plans nobody’s just packing it in and they’re fighting and they’re playing hard for one and they’re still making plays Demario Davis I kind of laughed cuz he got the interception couple weeks ago he was joking about dropping those interceptions he had ordered new hands on Amazon so they came de got his new hands and and made a huge play but Brian has been phenomenal if you look um there’s Silver Linings and shining stars through through the the losses and Brian has been that I mean he his we’ve always said his pass rushing ability is amazing and he’s getting sacks he’s being productive and then the Special Teams making game-changing plays that are winning you games that’s next level and Brian’s taking that next step seven and a half sacks now for breaz on the season as he gets into another one today which does lead the Saints starting off the game though it was slow as you mentioned offensively it was hard for the Saints to catch a rhythm at the half it is a 73 lead for them what was the issue with maybe punching in some of those third Downs that they were unable to convert yeah and and the third Downs in the pregame I I said that that would be the key to today’s game because I didn’t feel like the Giants were good enough offensively to stay on the field I I like the advantage the Saints offense had more I was a little shocked that the that we could not get the running game going that really shocked me the the Giants defensive line they have a couple injuries along the defensive line and just that that running game couldn’t get going um and then the other thing I was looking for today is is what will it look like without taes who’s going to step up in the absence of taes and I think you looked at Foster and Joan the tight ends got more involved in the passing game today so there’s definitely guys stepping up in tm’s absence and then lastly Kendra Miller I think the fan base everybody the organization Kendry Miller himself everybody’s looking to see um what has cuz cuz he showed bursts he showed signs last year at the end of the season he’s been injured a lot this year but he did a good job in his first game back yeah he ends up with his first touchdown of the Season Kendra Miller finishing that 98 yard drive for the Saints their two touchdown drives were both nine play drives I mean they really had to cover a lot of yardage to get them the second touchdown goes to Jaan Johnson you mentioned the tight end there I like the versatility though getting kendre Miller and Jamal Williams involved in the Run game although they weren’t as productive as they probably wanted to be there is some more versatility that you’re seeing in in the various players that are getting touches yeah there’s no question I I think a lot of times people look at just because of their stature they look at Alvin and and Kendra and they say Well they’re the same back one’s not a huge back and the other one’s not a shorter quicker back but they’re really not I think I think kendre he he has um the ability and it’s it’s a young man’s game I mean he’s he’s seven years younger than Alvin and there’s a little he has a little bit more size and so so his ability to run inside I like it when he can run inside take advantage of his young legs get Alvin on the perimeter get Alvin involved in the passing game and I think those two on the field at the same time we used to call it with with Reggie Bush and Duce mallister on the field at the same time we called it Pony 20 with two running backs I think you get those two guys on the field and can stress some defenses no I mean kendre Miller was dragging people down the field with him and on that touchdown he went five yards with multiple people on his back and it was McCoy who gave him that extra push to get over the goal line good to have McCoy back but also Lucas Patrick they haven’t played together on the offensive line since week three yeah yeah it it’s that’s a long time to go without without your starting offensive line playing together cuz there is no other position group on the field where five guys lined up next to each other 68 Ines feet apart and have to work together and so when you don’t have that continuity there and the Saints offensive line just hasn’t because of the injuries it’s nice to see those guys get back at this point in the season and who knows what can happen we talk about it it that it’s kind of dire when it comes to winning the NC South but the Vikings did the Saints another favorite day beat the Atlanta Falcons Tampa hasn’t looked that great so just keep winning and I one of my favorite things that coach Rizzy says and and the players have been saying the last couple weeks is worry about the micro don’t talk about the macro let the micro work out I think it’s a great saying just worry about it one week at a time and and this week they got it done we can worry about the macro though because that is our job we have to make a big deal out of all of the little things uh on that last Drive the Giants were going down the field elante Taylor comes up with a a big pass breakup and then ugti as well on the third down which forces the Giants to go for that field goal attempt how have you seen the corner step up with the injuries that we had you know earlier in this season in the departure of Marshon Latimore yeah I mean you trade Marshon ladimore who’s still one of the the premier Corners in the league he hasn’t been able to stay healthy and then pulson NBO unfortunately season ending injury you lose a couple guys like that and and it’s bad news for a lot of places a lot of organizations but I think the one thing that that this organization um and I go back to when we kind of figured out our secondary end we end up winning a world championship the one thing this this organization has always believed is you have to have guys who can cover in the secondary we’re going to draft guys we’re going to get depth and you when you lose two guys like that but yet young guys are still making plays and elante has been fantastic all year um guys just keep stepping up I think Koolaid McKenry is going to be a great player in this league so you can never have enough guys who can cover and the one thing about the Saints organization is they’re going to make sure they have enough DBS if you look at it offensively they were able to keep Malik neighbors relatively in check he does not get into the end zone only 79 yards on the day and and he was really their only option offensively through the air and then on the ground game they keep Tyrone Tracy to 45 yards it was Drew lock who ended up getting going he kind of started showing that his Mobility um early on in the game and then went back to it in that last Drive how did you like the way that this the Saints played him knowing that he has the capability to get in on the Run yeah outside that that last Drive where he had a couple backbreaking scrambles and some big time runs especially you know on on the long distance plays but I thought for the most part throughout the game they did a good job keeping in check they were not able to to run the ball effectively he was their leading rusher um but that’s just sometimes defensively you don’t always have a guy you’re not always going to put a guy as a spy in the NFL unless you’re playing uh you know Lamar Jackson guys like that I think the Saints it’s it’s pick your poison a little bit they were probably more worried about Malik Neighbors on the outside so they weren’t putting that guy in the box but uh you know credit jur loock he he made a couple great plays on that last drive to get him in position to do something but I thought for the most part the Saints took care of his legs most of the day yeah I mean they got the win in the end so that’s really all that matters fortunately a little bit earlier um in the game about 5 minutes to go in the fourth quarter Derek Carr does go down with an injury concussion and hand injury was what was reported by Fox on the broadcast we’ll definitely get more update on that hopefully when we hear from Darren resi here soon tough to see Carr go down although they just they’re evaluating and we don’t know the extent of the injury Jake hayner comes in what are the implications going forward if he’s unable to go yeah it’s uh it’s tough Derrick has been playing really efficient football the last few weeks we talked about um you know he’s down a lot of wide receivers he’s taken now you lose ton but he’s been efficient you know 100 quarterback ratings are not easy in this league and he’s been doing those things and managing the game he was selling out there jumping um trying to get as many yards as he could but yeah if if hopefully Derrick’s okay but if he’s not and you’re looking at ending the season now you go back to who who fits the best do you go back to Spencer and kind of change start that whole thing again I mean that’s that’s going to be the debate and um uh we went through that a little bit in the middle of the season but uh hopefully Derrick’s okay and and he’s able to come back because there’s there’s still something a lot to play for depending on on how Tampa and Atlanta do at the end of the year yeah you mentioned the fight of this team and there’s been a lot that they’ve had to deal with the up and downs the seven game losing streak losing your head coach but they’ve continued to fight here over the past couple weeks uh you got four games left so in totality you know you don’t have to win every single one of them but how doable is it uh it’s tough and I I think more so than anything couple weeks ago I thought the schedule set up really well and the only team I really looked at on there as as the biggest threat was the team that’s going to be coming in the dome this week I thought the commanders I thought the commanders were the biggest threat to not winning out because of what they’ve been doing defensively and Jaden Daniels a quarterback has been amazing but I I think because of the way this team winning today seeing Atlanta lose again is just it’s it’s just dangling that carrot yeah it just gives them more incentive to to study more film to to keep taking care of your body because who know the biggest thing that you would walk away from this year you don’t want to walk away with regret like if we would have just did all the little things right and take advantage of our opportunities I’m sure they have it from last week against the Rams you know you didn’t take advantage of that opportunity but still it’s still it still exists and there’s a lot of teams that were eliminated from the playoffs today you’re not one of them so go out there and and see what happens okay well interim head coach Darren Rizzy is on his way to the podium I think I’m hearing that he is there so we’re going to go ahead and send it over there uh I just want to start off by saying uh listen uh congratulations uh to the guys you know as I just told them sometimes you don’t get to pick the formula on how to win and uh maybe that you sometimes you think the game’s going to play out a certain way uh plays out a little different you know we didn’t particularly have a very good fourth quarter there um but found a play found a way to make a play at the end of the game obviously Brian with the huge block uh phenomenal job by him um you know but listen the things we did well obviously our defense you know uh pretty much controlled the entire game uh until the until the last quarter there they started to move the ball a little bit uh and obviously had a couple of a couple of Chunk plays um but overall obviously very happy with the defense in terms of the way we stopped the Run um you know overall you know Drew lock ended up being their leading rusher that’s something we got to look at something that’s kind of hit us a few times this year with with the long quarterback scrambles we got to examine that a little bit but as far as their actual running game goes the two running backs combined for 53 yards and that was a huge part of why we thought we could win this game today and it’s a huge part why we won the game um you know we got to get some things cleaned up I thought our offense uh and our special our special teams had one of the worst halfs of the maybe the worst half of the year in the first um in the first half uh we we turned around and made some plays there in the second half and obviously it’s kind of ironic that we end up winning the game on a special teams play because we were having a one of our worst days in in recent memory so uh but again great job of finding a way to win uh it’s never easy to win in this league and uh and so uh at least you know we come out on the road uh respond from last week we get a w and go home with a win and and try to figure out some of these other things we got to get figured out’s any update car happened yeah listen he’s got he’s got a left hand uh that they’re looking at we’ll we’ll kind of see what’s going on with that I I really don’t have any other information than that uh they’re going to do all the scans and the x-rays and all that so we’ll kind of play that by year but uh you know when he Dove when he when he made a phenomenal effort on his part to try to you know keep us our drive going um and get a first down there just a unselfish player uh diving you know diving over the over the top there he came down and I think he tried to put his hand down and Brace himself and I think he just I think he just hurt his hand a little bit so we’ll see we’ll see what they say he said concussion too it yeah I think I also believe he might be in the concussion protocol I got to confirm that um but right now I was was really talking more about his hand he might he may be in the concussion protocol as well we’ll see what happens there and it’s his left was announced right it was his left hand the camera’s caught a uh impassioned exchange between you and P ball after that time return that got called just kind of what that’s what you’re calling it a passion exchange a passion yeah passionate exchange well listen I’m passionate about everything and listen everybody uh has a job to do everybody has a oneth to do you guys that that follow our team know that I’m a big accountability guy and and that was a big part of our game plan today and he wasn’t executing the game plan so uh I’m G I’m GNA say this his last punt was outstanding and and it really helped us actually I think his last two punts um second to last pun in particular was really really good pinned them back didn’t get any return yards that’s really what we were trying to do all day uh our first three punts weren’t good enough and so that passionate exchange I let him know that that’s exactly how I felt so probably came across a little bit more than that but me and mat are fine appear to be talking to both of y’all during the exchange kind of listen I listen I love AK because ak ak is a guy that’s very very observant and sees everything and uh he kind of you guys know that I followed AK for a while he’s a little bit of like a lay in the weeds guy but he sees everything he’s he’s very very observant and uh you know he just he just was trying trying to be The Peacemaker there so and and he came back around and said RZ man I never know you’d lose your on the punter like that so I mean um you know he was just trying to calm me down just trying to calm that listen he’s a team guy and and uh but that’s kind of where we’re at could you talk about the athleticism from braz on that block that’s was a crazy play for his size H pH phenomenal phenomenal let’s let’s play that we uh we started practicing uh we’ve had it in a few times um we we we kind of put it in this week on Friday we repped it a couple times on Friday and it was kind of like we were out there on the field and it was like we were running it we’re like hey you never know game could come down to this and look what happens um it just goes to show you though a guy at his size the athletic ability he just displayed I’ve seen him do it all the time in practice so I I knew he could do it you know we were discussing on the headset myself Phil uh gallano and moof were Marwan we were decid what call was the best call and we were kind of going there and the last ball that he had hit had come out a little bit low so I wanted to get that you know some pressure there in the middle but really just an unbelievable phenomenal uh job by Brian individual effort you know there’s some other guys here working on the play too to make sure he gets freed up um but but you know outstanding outstanding and it was great great to see him make a big play like that and really a game-winning play it wasn’t it wasn’t just that play today either he had a sack and really the last couple of weeks right and we talked about that during the week you know he’s a guy that’s that just I I feel like his best football is still out there and you see the flashes of the of Brilliance out of the player between the pass rush the field goal block you know he’s made a couple of huge plays a couple weeks in a row um yeah you’re seeing you’re you’re seeing a lot of the reasons we you know we drafted the player we drafted Brian in the first round you know and so um these are some of the things we talked about some of the things he continue to get better at first second down but man his pass rush his field goal Rush those things have been outstanding can you talk a little bit about how important the victory was in terms of keeping you in the mix at this point in this yeah huge huge I know another uh one of the teams at the top of our division lost again today so that that uh it it keeps us in the mix I mean listen we you know we’re down here to to to the end of the year you know it’s the middle of December already and when you’re when you’re playing games that still matter and still count and still have a chance to affect the final outcome uh that’s that’s big deal and so here we are with uh you know four to go and and uh and so you know I as I just said to the guys that’s why we practice with a purpose we we go through the week with a purpose uh because we’re still playing you know we’re still in contention and so you you know trying not to be a big picture guy but it also it’s always nice to have that out there so you can focus on the now and not worry about that and you know that there’s still that opportunity for us now that it’s over can you say what this meant to get this win here and were you able to hold off those emotions for most of this week or this day yeah you know listen I I I I was able to see a lot of family and friends phen Al my three nieces were here um cousins friends High School my you know the the high school coach at Bergen Catholic was here Bergen cath had a big contingency um so you know it’s h congratulations to them you know just two Fridays ago they won the state championship right here on on on this field against Don Bosco so another state championship for them so it’s great to see all those people my you know friends I grew up with uh some family uh you know so I got a little emotional there when kind of when I was came out to the field and saw all them uh you know uh out there uh you know my immediate family um all those you know so just really really cool and uh you know but as I said in the beginning of the week once the game kind of started you got to forget all that but listen it’s uh I’m not going to sit here and and try to BS you guys it’s uh to to come up here uh in my in my home area and get a win on the visiting sideline is is something that I probably told you would never ever happen in my life so that’s uh pretty wild pretty crazy and uh back to folus on the Saints now and get back on you know get back on track for next week can you tell us a little bit about um what you liked from kendre Miller and his return today yeah listen I think kendre again is is showing you why we drafted him where we drafted him um he made some really really Dynamic runs I thought you know Kendra has a has the unique ability of making an eight- yard run look really really good uh and you know making people Miss um you know getting some tough yards um and again you know just a small sample there um but again the touchdown run has where he just keeps his you know power and when when I talked about in the beginning of week a change a pace back that’s really what I was talking about you know a guy that can you know just have a little bit of a different style and that’s a big deal you know we lose and tast him you know we don’t become onedimensional with Alvin we have another guy that’s that that can get get us some tough yards and so he had a nice kick return today right uh I don’t know off the top of my head how many yard 31 yard kick return uh that really nice touchdown run some really good you know some really good you know make you miss so you know kend Dre’s got to just stay consistent that’s been his thing right so we got to we got to do that again next week we got to have another good practice week um we got to just you know stay healthy and and so those are the things but you saw the flashes today of the athletic ability that’s that’s the the guy we we knew we were drafting you’ve got a guy like that and he maybe beaten down mentally a little bit from all the injuries and all the you know the Dog House talk which obviously you addressed you how important is getting on the field and actually doing it as opposed to you know you can talk all you want it’s very it’s very important it’s very important to get out there and just show you know there’s listen there’s you can always uh sit here and say well well this and well that and maybe this and maybe that but to actually show the proof but and that’s the thing about Kendry the times that he’s been on the field for us like today you see it and anybody that knows football sees it you see a very good running back that’s what you see and uh again is he there yet is he has he reached the p no he’s got plenty of room for growth um but staying healthy staying consistent for him is is is the big thing and and actually coming out showing it rather than just saying oh he looks good in practice or you know oh we had he looked really good in college you know you saw today what he what he did so to emphasize you know uh pretty much this game offensive wasn’t the prettiest you know however to emphasiz on that offense and Kendra and several of the other plays you know you guys had two long drives nine plays four minutes nine play 5 minutes um you know what does that say just about this overall offense and just the gr to find success in such a you know ugly offensive game really those two long drives are the game right I mean when it comes down to it uh we get pinned back there on a great punt by by Jamie uh for the Giants and then you know he he did a great job putting the ball today um you know we we really had they had all the field position uh in their favor in the first half we obviously faked the putt near Midfield missed it by half yard so they had good field position there um and so they did a really good job and so when we got pinned back and we went on the long touchdown Drive man that was a big deal we talked all week about we have not been good coming out of halftime in the third quarter our first couple of drives our first I believe our first drive we had to pump it then that second drive we go down the field again chew up a lot of clock have another scoring drive and so really you know although it may not have been the whole picture might not have been you know super pretty today um offensively those two drives essentially were the were the ones that you know mattered the most and so kudos to them we’ve got to do a better job of finishing games we get the ball back there at the end we don’t get a first down you know we come up we come up on Third and short we don’t get the first we got a punt and we we we gave it back to them you get the ball back and I think we had two situations today where we got the ball back with a chance to kind of end the game and we didn’t do that so that’s where we got to be better um but our defense clearly in the first half was much better than our offense and special teams and you held them to three points and that’s why we were you know in in good position so uh and it put us in a really good position to win the game at the end when you mentioned Brian like kind of turn on the last couple weeks was there something that for him I mean obviously he’s had some success in the NFL before but there’s something kind of flipped for him I I I wouldn’t say anything as just one particular thing I think Brian um is focusing on the things that he can get better at I think by the last few weeks has has opened his eyes to some technique stuff and some things that you know can help his game um but man I me there’s a young you know Brian’s young I he’s got a lot of football ahead of him he stays healthy and you see the flashes and and that’s the thing there’s been times where I know I listen I’ve read The Narrative The Narrative is oh man he Flash plays and he disappears for a while and then that’s what he can’t do he’s got to get he’s got to just be more consistent and so the last two weeks he’s got a heck of a body of work the last two weeks so that’s the key for him and for us is to keep him where he’s been the last couple of weeks and playing more consistent you challenge guys with narratives hell yeah you make them aware of that absolutely our one of our one of our goals uh for this game this week as a team was control the narrative you all the narratives out there we can’t stop the run we’re not a good second half offense you know all the things we’re we’re we’re you know we were 0 and four on the our last four Road games we were 0 and2 uh on our last two outdoor Road games you know so th those are facts and narratives right and so my challenge to the guys this week is you can by your performance you contr control that and so yeah not only do we challenge them individually we challenge him unitwise team- wise you know so I think that’s important I think it’s important that those guys know they can control that how do you challenge them individually I know like pton used to find articles written about certain players and put it in their locker like yeah there yeah there’s different ways I mean honestly I don’t challenge every every single guy the same uh I’m not going to challenge AK and de Mario and cam the same way I’m going to challenge some of the younger guys Kool-Aid and and Trevor Penning and tally and some of the younger guys and kendre U there’s different there’s differences there guys hav been doing it a long time so I think the the thing you got you got to be creative as a coach you got to find way different ways to challenge guys and you know it really depends on on on where they are in their career my opinion do you take like things out of the parcels Playbook oh yeah yeah I don’t want to get like too many cats out of the bag but yeah a lot of a lot of that stuff we uh we do but but listen yeah listen I challenge kendre all week and and I’m proud of kendre but now the challenge the next challenge for him is going to be can we can we duplicate you know the success and duplicate the the production so appreciate you guys thanks so much Brian by kend what’s going on guys how we doing what is that play what what is what is it designed to do what are the other guys around the one the block field obviously and what is your job on that play yeah I mean uh Shep and pton did a great job you know kind of pushing down the the the Long Snapper and guard and then my job is to get up and get down you know uh so jumped up and uh didn’t really work how I wanted it to I kind of buckled on my Landing a little bit and just uh threw a hand up up but man just uh I got a piece of it just enough I guess and and uh you know it it worked out so it was a lot more guys doing their job than just me when that all slaps off your hand like describe that feeling and I really didn’t think I got enough of it at first like I felt it but I didn’t think I got enough of it and looked back and saw it just kind of missed uh left a little bit so uh man just super excited once I saw that missed and and you know it was a a heartfall game by everybody on the team so you know just being able to to close it out and and uh in that fashion was was really exciting for not only me but but everybody Brian I mean you from relatively close right driving distance you you have family here friends yeah yeah a bunch of my neighbors came up uh parents are here um sister yeah there’s there’s a I got like a group of 20 here right now so there’s a lot of people cousins live in New Jersey so they came up so yeah there’s a lot of family and friends here good game for that thing yeah yeah absolutely do your parents still try to go to every game yeah yeah they’re uh they’re at most of them um but yeah they they uh they don’t miss much so I’m guessing you guys knew what this game meant for Rizzy did you guys talk about that maybe behind his back a little bit like how much did do you like being able to deliver this for him yeah I mean absolutely you know coach Riz has been he’s been awesome for us you know he’s a he’s a great leader for the team and and you know I think all the guys have his back 100% so you know knowing he’s from right out this way as well and and uh you know this is his his uh home turf just being able to come here and get him a win is is is awesome talked about challenging some of the younger guys how has he challenged you yeah I mean I think just with with uh technique and and having be wiing here just just work a lot of technique with us now and I mean you guys see it at practice just hitting the sleds and and all that kind of stuff man he’s just been been really challenging uh challenging us just to to to better our technique you know that’s really been been the the main thing our fundamentals just just kind of the basics of it and just starting from there and and building our way from that do you feel like you’ve turned a little bit of a corner here these last these last couple weeks yeah I mean obviously you know I’ve had some some big plays but man just still still a lot of room to grow and uh so continuing to work you know still got still got a lot of games to play you know and uh so just continuing to work and and get better and and finish this out we see a couple more jumps like that from you then that’s not my call I don’t know you have to ask you have to ask Rizzy um but yeah I mean it’s up to him what about the way the game finished up I mean you guys seem to be like in control of this game for maybe three quars of it to have to wind up making one play at the end yeah I mean man it’s a it’s a it’s a tough League you know there’s there’s really good teams all over the place good players everywhere so um I mean things aren’t always going to go in your favor and I think um you know just just you know having a team that that’s able to respond and and close out that game uh you know the way the way that we did just you know I think shows a lot of character just you know never giving up never quitting and and playing to the last down so was uh was cam giving you any grief about you getting full sack instead of him getting part of it I had him I had Chase yelling at me that he wanted half of it it’s like it’s like a battle I was like guys you know what you all you can turn it in and we’ll see what happens but no they you know it’s uh you know we got a everyone in the dline room we all have great relationships together so just friendly banter back and forth did he I saw he at least got you in on the fox post game interview yeah yeah yeah yeah he pulled you going to get off the field without doing that yeah yeah I had I yeah he he grabbed me I was trying to run out of the out of the into the into the locker room but uh you know Cam’s a great leader you know one of my really good friends on the team somebody who who I look up to and and um somebody who’s been awesome for you know since I’ve been here he’s just been a great leader and and a great mentor for me did you guys see something with with uh just getting a hand up in a locks throwing Lan I think he got had like four five six passes had it down yeah I mean you know I think it’s that’s like a not specific to him I think that’s just a a you know something that that that kind of happened today just you know I think it’s an every week kind of thing you want to get hands up you know when when you don’t get a pass rusher or you know you’re not going to get there in time you become you know a pass Defender not a pass rusher and and so you know guys did a great job of that cam had one I had one or two so um yeah just just getting our hands and throwing lanes and and trying to help the DBS out as much as we can if we can’t get there and uh kind of going back to the Rizzy challenging thing like if has he or other coaches brought up like narratives to you saying like Ryan isn’t this or isn’t that or you know they they like challenge you in that yeah no I don’t think specific specific to that I think more of just you know it’s more more team stuff and and then I think you know when it comes to to challenging players I I think you know Rizzy does a good job of of leaving that to the to the position coaches and uh you know he’ll he’ll he you know he’ll he’ll kind of oversee it all but but you know he has a lot of trust in the position coaches and and guys like you know B who’s been awesome for us and um so yeah but yeah definitely challenges the everybody on the team and for you specifically what what do by meant to you yeah by has been awesome ever since I’ve been here as well like when I first got here just you know I came from a lot different scheme in college which um you know it was just it was different than than what we what we play now you know it was a lot of movement a lot of stun stepping so you know there wasn’t a lot of me just you know playing bass technique and and that kind of stuff so when I got in he he was uh you know the first guy to get me out early to practice every day working stuff with me and and uh he’s just continued to to to you know do that for me throughout these last two years now so he’s been he’s been great he’s been great appreciate it guys thank you Brian BRZ saying that he is going to have to fight with Cam Jordan and Chase young to keep his sack that he got today because they both want a piece of it I mean cam is one of those guys that will turn it in because he always wants to yeah make tally as many as he can when you’re the all-time leading sack leader you want every half sack whatever he he’ll take a quarter sack but it’s I laugh here and Bri and talk about that because nobody fights over things like defensive linemen do it is like anybody who’s ever went to like those fish you feed a fish you drop some food in the top and they all go that’s defensive lineman when it comes time to touch a quarterback as he falls down they all want the sacks and you know more power to him because that’s how those guys get paid come contract time the agent say hey how many sacks did you have so that’s why they fight over him but it’s funny watching that position group well right now brzy is holding it down with seven and a half sacks on the season he is doing extremely well in his second year here and Darren rzy gets to walk away from his hometown with a win lots of emotions going into this one for him we saw them throughout the game how much do you appreciate though a coach that does care that much yeah I mean you you can tell and and you can tell how players respond to him and you want coaches want players with passion but players want coaches with passion too when when coach Rizzy shows that it means that much to him you don’t really get offended because he wants to win and players want to win coaches want to win all that stuff that happens on the sideline the back and forth the things that get said countless times I mean game day Shawn pton was invent for a reason the things that Shawn said to players I mean if you held all that personal no like Sean but it’s all about winning it’s all about the competitive battle during that time and I I love the competitive fire out coach Riz he he wants to win and that’s apparent every single Sunday well next up for the Saints is going to be the commanders back in the super doome it’s going to be a lot to prepare for tough week ahead for them what do you think the the major thing they have to focus in on this week is it it’s got to be the number one thing has to be Jaden Daniel’s legs and you heard coach Rizzy talking that was the one thing he was concerned about coming out and and he had the stats in front of him did a nice job with on the running backs but he is concerned about the the quarterback scrambling if you’re concerned about Drew lock scrambling yeah you need to be concerned about this kid cuz he is going to extend plays and and it’s going to be interesting to see the game plan do you Blitz him do you sit back do you keep a spy on him so that you’re going to know early on in this game how they try to defend cuz he’s a talented kid well the Saints walk away with a 1411 win over the Giants in this one they stay alive in the race for the lead in the NFC South next up is going to be the Washington commanders 12:00 Central in the Super Dome this upcoming SU day for Scott Shanley air and
