when Gaber Tores started his big league career in 2018 with the New York Yankees all looked like things were going to be going in the right direction for a long time with the kid making the All-Star team in 2018 finishing third in the Rookie of the Year he batted 271 24 home runs and Ops plus of 122 2019 is kind of hard to really base anything off of because everybody was hitting home runs that year but he hit 38 batted 278 with an Ops plus of 128 and and then things kind of started to show up in his day-to-day play and by show up I mean he was being lazy he didn’t run hard to first he played laxidasical defense to say the least lost track of how many videos I’ve made showing Gabor is essentially jogging down to first base especially in the World Series last year he was jogging to first base in the World Series 2 which is just mindboggling and now gabber Taurus has signed with the Detroit Tigers for one year 15 million and that says a lot because at 28 years old he is only 28 he’s getting a one-year deal with the Detroit Tigers a one-year deal to essentially prove himself maybe for an extension a lot of people try to defend him for a long time still saying he’s one of the best second baseman in all of baseball well apparently a lot of teams don’t look at it that way because at 28 he’s only getting that oneyear deal that is insane back when he first came up if you were to say he was only going to get a one-year offer at the age of 28 I would have thought you were crazy but after watching ing him day after day playing the way that he has played I am not surprised at all so the Tigers now have Javier bz and Gabor maybe Bas will turn it around I highly doubt it anyways this is Darren with grunt baseball talk to you guys later [Music]
