[Music] all right you little goons grab a toilet and sit down it’s actually time for another one of these Habs news update thingy with Jiggies and in today’s Jiggy we’re going to talk a little bit about Flor and Jack who randomly morphed in a Wayne gritsky a couple of nights ago we’ll see what our little Russian bundle of joy has been up to break down Lane Hudson’s first career in HL goal and much much more but first I want to tell you a little bit about today’s sponsor Mirage Trading who’s got a huge online selection of cards to choose from you can now find the 2024 2025 artifacts hobby box on there and you got to admit the artwork on this bad boy is absolutely incredible I mean they could have smeared all over the box but no thanks Suzuki for the win now we all knew it was only a matter of time before laye Hudson scored his first career NHL goal and on Saturday to Winnipeg not only does he get the job done but he gets the job done against one of the best goals in the league what a beauty and you know it’s a big one when not one but two of your teammates are trying to get you the puck the boys are loving it in fact everybody’s loving it I mean Marty St Louie is just filled with joy on the bench he looks like a man who just got his EI after quitting four jobs that goal against the Jets now puts L Hudson at 20 points on the season in 30 games and let me tell you something I know it’s going to be a tough race for Rookie of the Year this season with guys like meav and silini as probably the Front Runners but in my opinion and I know it’s Rich coming from a Habs fan but Lan Hudson is definitely in the same conversation as these guys he’s a defenseman come on if freaking Harry and Lloyd here would have buried half of these opportunities we probably wouldn’t even be having this conversation but anyway now I want you to shift your attention over to Russia where Ian demid was recently named the MVP of a tree onree tournament over there he scored a nice little goal on the shootout look at him the heads up the whole way you got to love it and I know some of you may disagree but nobody in that Montreal lineup right now outside of maybe lay Hudson has hands like this kid right here he’s an he’s an absolute dirt bag out there man and he gets me excited because he’s a player that I know is going to be good and he’s not on the team just yet and if you’re looking for more players to get excited about how about the other first round selection in 2020 before m h another young man that’s gone above and beyond expectations so far this season in the NCAA he scored a beauty of an OT winner a couple of nights ago for Michigan that’s his 10th goal of the season and believe it or not even after missing a few games he’s still leading that team in points he’s got 18 points in 15 games right now what a run he’s been on next up we’re going to move on to a personal favorite of mine floran Jacko who’s usually known for just being a a hornet nest on skates a pain in the ass to play against but you see a couple of nights ago against the Islanders he was a pain in the ass for a completely different reason Florian Jacky had five points let that sink in for a second five points including a hatrick and as you can see from the video this guy was doing a lot of damage just from packing that big frame of his in front of the net and reaping the benefits it’s a it’s a night he’s never going to forget he’s got 10 points now in 26 games so far this season for the rocket and I wish this kid nothing but the best I’m hoping that somehow some way in the future we get to see guys like him and Luke talk patrolling the Habs fourth line man that would be that would be incredible a real crash and bang line but anyway next up for the Canadians they’re going to be hosting the Buffalo sabes and the Sabers of course haven’t won a game since like 1996 however they’re hoping to make that change tonight I expect them to come out of the gate looking pretty hungry and I really hope the boys don’t take him too lightly because that would kind of be embarrassing now wouldn’t it but that’s going to do it for today’s little Habs news update I just wanted to shout out some of these young pups please don’t forget to smash the out of that like button before you leave here and hey see you next time [Music]
