it’s all going down on Halford and Bruff and Donnie and Dolly too I guess we had ourselves a lot of updates from NHL insiders like Frank SRA going over some of the latest Vancouver connu trade talk and another conversation that highlights a very particular name we had discussed in Buffalo take a look at this tweet this was by sportset 650 earlier this morning at 7:00 a.m. waking up in the morning of course it’s Halford and Bruff they’ve got Sarah valy on The Daily Faceoff programming on their show and he goes out there and says this the Vancouver Canucks are one team I have my eye on between now and Thursday night’s trade freeze I do feel they’ve been pretty active in the last few days trying to go after a defenseman now the trade freeze Thursday night as they say will occur for the holidays you can’t get traded while you’re on Christmas break that’s kind of the rule here and it’s very appropriate I would say so before the trade freeze Thursday night it seems like there might be something cooking and the reason this is interesting to me is because the Vancouver kxs they have themselves a game tonight against Utah they’ve got a game tomorrow night as well they’re on a back-to-back schedule Patrick Alvine has a lot of work to do if he wants to make a trade before Thursday night he’s got to monitor his own team he’s got to pay attention to the salary cap he’s got to do all this and that and more and the team itself is traveling and they’re doing stuff and then on top of that Patrick Alvine is making trades who knows if there’s actually a trade done within the next let’s say 24 to 36 hours or so before the trade freeze tomorrow night but this is the scoop here Frank cave giving an update for Vancouver trade talk it’s a pretty big one seems like the Canucks are trying to get involved here another reply from Austin and Langley goes out there and talks about another quote here Frank srail and hord and Bruff said the Canucks have been active on the trade market the last few days looking for a puck mover wouldn’t be surprised that they made a move before the roster freeze Sarah Vey man first it was Elliot fredman now it’s Sarah Vey kind of stirring the pot here in Vancouver another tweet by Taj Sarah Vey said I heard some increased chatter yesterday and Monday about the Canucks being involved in conversations he also mentions that the trade that the Canucks are working on is more substantial than a Vinnie dear trade this is about getting a top four d man talks have picked up on that front there’s some sense that they’ve gotten closer to a trade but there is no guarantee that it will be done by that trade freeze so not even just Vinnie de har but they’re looking to upgrade a top four dman honestly when I think about that we think about some of the names that get tossed out there top four defenseman top four defenseman I don’t know a mat a proov or whomever Bowen Byrum if at some point the kucks make a trade for some of these guys you bet your behind that first round pick probably gone Tom Vander probably gone maybe evenly Kaki maybe he’s gone who really knows but honestly if the Canucks are getting somebody like a bow and Byam I would be okay departing with a player like Tom valer I get that there are concussion issues I get that there are health issues but if Tom Vander becomes the defenseman that bow Byam is today at some point you’re probably really really happy about that so why not speed up the process get the bow and byarm right now sure you’re sacrificing Tom vander’s right-handed depth but bow and Byrum can play the right side too so maybe it’s not entirely all too wrong here Vinnie de har plus Tom Vander plus another draft pick or something in exchange for bow and by I don’t know I’m just spitballing here H spitballing just like Elliot fredman is capable of doing we also had ourselves another tweet from Taj this is another Sarah Val quote from daily Faceoff live so not hred and Bruff anymore but this was a few hours later into the morning I’m told the Canucks feel like they’ve made some progress on their search for an impact demman and an efficient Puck mover there seems to be a heightened sense of urgency in the past 24 to 48 hours I’m certainly on alert with the Vancouver Canucks so sarra Val is really going out there stirring the pot here lots to like about what he’s saying if you’re on the fence about whether or not the conu should make a move or not we also had ourselves some more trade conversation courtesy of Rick Dolly wall Buck foston tweeted this out an hour ago Dolly wall says the Canucks are looking for a top four defenseman and a Winger are they looking for a Winger to replace besser and then Dolly wall himself replies here’s the full quote are they looking for a Winger in case things don’t work out with Brock besser we also have to protect yourselves here in case you have to move besser if you cannot extend him and that I think is some damage protocol that we haven’t really been discussing much what if the Canucks are not able to find some sort of an outcome with Brock besser what if they lose him out in free agency etc etc if that happens you cannot go into the season without a suitable replacement Brock B is a very valuable name it’ll be tough to go out there and just try to get somebody on the free agent Market to replace the guy you can’t just go Lind home for de Brusque after all this entire thing with besser is totally appropriate so if the Canucks are looking for some sort of a Winger trade then okay we will see what happens whether or not the connects are able to get somebody on their team that helps them out right now as well as gives them security just in case Brock besser is out of there furthermore we had ourselves another comment made on MD’s Twitter account this is not necessarily like Insider trade updates but I did want to go out there and talk about this so MD tweeted this out from yesterday Ray Ferraro was ripping Dylan cousins the shreds this morning on Halford and Bruff his wife is assistant GM of the Vancouver conu Cammy Granado I wonder how the team feels about cousins he basically said that Dylan cousins 31 goal season was a fraudulent season he went on to talk about how they gave him an extension for no reason feraro thinks cousins is closer to a 22 goal scorer and he’s more of an energy guy and he doesn’t think that cousins game is mature and I’mma be real I actually don’t disagree entirely like I like to be more optimistic about players especially guys who have super high ceilings like what we had seen at the 2019 NHL entry draft Dylan cousins was drafted seventh overall for a reason the Workhorse from White Horse he was seen as a guy who could potentially be an 85 to 90 point guy a lot of people were on the Dylan cousins hype train because of the aspects that Ferraro was talking about he can score goals he’s a big guy he’s got a lot of energy but there were talks about how his game would Poise and mature to the point that he would be a Topline center it’s very interesting how Ray Ferraro of all people who is related to somebody in the conu organization went out there and talked all this smack about Dylan cousins on the media it’s like huh I’m not saying that the Elliot Freedman getting planted stuff from Canuck’s management stuff is true but is Ray Ferraro doing the same thing here is there some sort of an Insider opinion in the Vancouver lock locker room locker room management room behind closed doors that is similar to what Ray Ferraro spoke about on the radio because it would be very weird if Vancouver decided to trade for Dylan cousins right now and take on that contract give him a role put him in a spot to succeed after the husband of the assistant GM went on to Vancouver radio and said this you’re doing wrong by the fans because the fans that listen to this segment would be like oh yeah okay ray Ferraro is right this guy’s not that great and then the smarter fans would be thinking wait a minute Ray Ferraro was directly connected to the team like if Cammy Granado was sitting around here listening to Ferraro talk about Dyan cousins would she not be inclined to agree with her husband or would the Vancouver connects team itself just be a lot more disagreable they’re like oh no ferrar’s wrong sorry Cammy but your husband’s out to lunch for this one it’s weird very very weird so I think with this in mind we might actually have ourselves a bigger picture just implying it here just throwing it out there maybe we understand now what the Vancouver Canucks think about Dylan cousins out of the Buffalo Sabers and whether or not he would actually be an appropriate Target in a trade you can let me know your thoughts in the comment section below about this entire thing here Frank sra’s trade update with the Vancouver Canucks as well as Ray Ferraro talking about cousins I hope you enjoyed this vsh as99 and bye
