The Yankees are supposedly in on quite a few players other than Juan Soto. Do you think Juan Soto ends up signing with the Yankees? How would you feel about the Yankees trading for Cody Bellinger? Let me know what you think.

Yankees fans Yankees fans Yankees fans it looks like we are nearing an end in this whole Juan sto Saga so do me a favor if you love the Yankees or if you’re just a general baseball fan hit that subscribe button we’re on the road to 20,000 subscribers we’re like 590 away so if you could help us get there before the new year that would be an absolute blessing so listen this whole Wan sto stuff is just it’s it’s it’s getting it’s getting to be a lot now Jack curry last night on Yankees hot stove shared some very very valuable information in regards to Juan stto now Jack Curry if you guys haven’t heard he said that the Yankees and SoDo have had several productive conversations we heard heard a couple days ago maybe Randy Miller of nj.com shared with the fan that the Yankees don’t want to exceed $550 million well according to our boy Jack Curry that’s not true Curry said that the Yankees have offers over 600 million and they want Juan stto back Curry also mentioned that they’ve had talks with Corbin Burns and Max freed they also really like Cody Bellinger they’re not interested in Nolan AR ronado at all and they’re interested this is a really I I wasn’t anticipating this they’re interested in Willie adamus huh so I would assume they go and grab SoDo they’re able to bring him back adamus is going to be part of that plan B and adamus has said that he doesn’t really want want to move to third base or second base but if he had to he will so if the Yankees were to sign him he wouldn’t be our Short Stop most likely our third baseman and Adamas had a nice year last season 118 Ops plus over 30 home runs hit 250 just under an 800 Ops overall he had a decent year bregman he had a similar year to Alex bregman and bregman played a gold glove short stop there was a report that the Yankees Cur he didn’t say this but there was a report that the Yankees are actually interested in Alex bregman which shocked me but Juan stto is he going to end up back with the Yankees in my opinion I’ve said this time and time again yes yes he will I love what Jack Curry said just talked about how the meetings were productive talked about he confirmed basically that that 550 was a bunch of shabash it’s six over $600 million no telling how much over 600 million but it is the Yankees off offers to stto over 600 million we also heard that they have multiple opt outs in these in in at least the latest offer when it comes to first base right in my opinion if the Yankees go and sign and bring back Juan stto they’re going to look towards Cody Bellinger I would not be shocked if they had something already and they’re just waiting on Juan SoDo to make a decision like a trade with the Cubs but Bellinger I know he’s owed I believe 20 7 a half in 2025 and then $25 million he’s owed in 2026 but he has the option he has a player option at the end of 2025 so he could say adios amigo I’m done but is is Bellinger worth the money so so Cody Bellinger total numbers last year 266 average 18 home run 78 RBI with a 752 Ops it was his Ops is down from 2020 a where he had over an 880 Ops he’s a left-handed bat his career over there at first base is pretty good um he would play first base for the Yankees in the scenario by the way if the Yankees were to bring back Juan stto but Bellinger over his career has seven total defensive runs saved over there at first base which is very good you could be in in the negatives in that stat so he has a total of seven defensive runs saved over his career at first base so excellent he’s a guy who knows how to play the position last year for the Cubs I believe he only played in like 130 Innings over there first base but he has a lot he has a decent amount of Big League experience over there at first so that would make sense now his numbers on the road were actually better than his numbers at home so was numbers at home a 700 Ops with a 97 Ops plus over there at Wrigley on the road a 797 Ops with the 127 Ops plus he’s a pull hitter a pull hitter at Yankee Stadium great match match I think in my opinion honestly in my opinion I think it makes total sense to go and get Cody whether Juan stto Signs here or not not a long commitment a younger guy and if you inserted him in our lineup last year he’s one of the I mean you know after judgeing stto he’s one of the better hitters in our lineup the 750 Ops rarely anybody had that in our lineup so outside of stto and judge Cody Bellinger I think fits now it’s just a matter of hey how much money will the Yankees have to pay Bellinger well I came up with this with with a deal right to go and grab Cody and this might be a crazy deal you might think it’s a crazy deal I I think it is but if the Yankees were to end up with Cody Bellinger you could definitely offset the money right it’s that’s very doable here’s what you do you tell Chicago we’re gonna take everything we’re gonna take Cody Bellinger’s contract the whole thing you don’t have to pay a dime of Bellinger contract Cody I believe is 29 he’s left-handed bat solid numbers over there first base I think he’d be fine I I’m not sure if if the numbers that he put out last year is worth 27 and a half million but listen to to to my my potential solution here so you ship out you say hey to offset some money Marcus strowman’s got to go so here’s stro he like a four er last year he’s familiar with Chicago he pitched there 2023 and and if I believe and in 22 so he’s familiar with Chicago have Marcus strowman send him back over there the Cubs take his full contract we take Cody’s full contract but I’m not done you also move DJ lahu over to Chicago now DJ has two more years left 15 million per year if you’re the Yankees you probably have to eat a little bit maybe like 30% of DJ’s contract so instead of paying 15 you you’ll pay about five million per year I think that’s very worth it and then you would have to add a piece worthwhile for Chicago and I think that piece could could be Nester CZ and then the Yankees would have to go out and get a starter or two at least a starter and a spot starter to uh to finish out that rotation if you’re moving on from Nester and Marcus strowman because we don’t know if Clark Schmidt’s going to stay healthy all year we don’t know the kind of year heel is going to have rhon same thing health issues but he did have a solid year in 2023 uh 2024 23 was terrible Garrett Cole he pitched half the season but he looked pretty good 34 ER we still need a starter and in trading Nester Cortez who’s going to be a free agent I love Nester by the way but in trading Nester Cortez um in trading strowman you unload money trading Nester is a valuable arm you add them to that Chicago rotation uh IM managa tyion that’s a decent that’s a solid rotation over there for them but then you bring back Cody Bellinger and if Bellinger has a big year Bellinger opts out Bellinger is a free agent and now you’re free of everybody you’re free of DJ’s contract except that 30% that you agreed to pay I think that makes sense so so Bellinger to the Yankees I think makes a lot of sense we just have to figure out the contract thing as far as you know Tommy Canley and Tommy Canley and Tim hgo both of them are interested in coming back and the Yankees are very interested in bringing both of them back Jack Curry also talked about how uh the Yankees have no plans on bringing back Rizzo or Gaber Torres that kind of hurt with Rizzo I was thinking maybe the they could sign them to a lesser deal but maybe not the Yankees in my opinion this rotation Cole heel rodon Schmid Nester strowman whatever I I know that’s seven pitchers but however you want to or or six however you want to slice it they they need to add somebody right and the and the starting pitch Market is just really expensive right now Monas almost at a 5 ER good stuff but 5 ra and he got 17 million per so it’s very expensive I think if you’re going to spend money you just go out and make a big splash do I think the Yankees go out and get stto and a starting pitcher like a big name like a Corbin Burns or Max freed no probably not but that those two are probably a part of the Yankees contingency plan if you will if stto were to go to the metropolitans then you kind of have to spend that money and I think they will and I think burns are freed uh insert them into that rotation I think it makes a lot of sense if you’re not bringing back stto for some reason you can’t you could go and still trade for Cody but put him out there in center field you sign a first baseman like a Christian Walker multi-year deal it doesn’t have to be a four to fiveyear contract probably two to three if you could do it bregman the Yankees reportedly interested in him and they’re also interested in Willie adamus which that’s an interesting one but bregman and an adamus basically had the same offensive output last year but bregman played a gold glove Third Base we’ll see what happens but as of right now the Yankees are are very much into giving Juan stto basically what he wants I feel really good about it and I think stto is going to end up being a New York Yankee
