what are your thoughts on that what do you think um you know is Hughes more valuable to his team than kale Mar is to his well I think we know which one would be the hot take out of this that’s for sure there’s no denying it but one thing I will say about the Avalanche is you look at when kale Mar first entered the league I remember the hype around him I remember going into the playoffs when he started joining this team there were a lot of other offensive minded defensemen on that team you know and you kind look at the development with different guys like even Sam Gerard bow Barum of course you have Devon T joining the team and then there’s so many guys that are offensive minded now I look at the Vancouver Canucks and when I think about offensive minded defenseman I just don’t think there’s as many guys around him so I feel like there’s even more pressure on Quinn Hughes to be the blue liner that activates a lot more that jumps into the rush a lot more can I sit here and say that one might be more important to their team than the other I mean one guy has a Stanley Cup you know one guy has done every single night out but I think that Quinn Hughes has done a really good job of balancing being a defenseman that can both jump up into the rush but also be a stay-at-home guy it’s very hard to do both but uh he continues to do it on a night and Night Out basis very consistent but I look forward to seeing the growth of this Vancouver team as of right now though I have to just tip my hat to kale Mar for how he’s had the ability to just maintain that level of consistency throughout his career
