here Illinois against Arkansas uh this is the 21st best team in the country Illinois versus the thir 36th best team in the country Arkansas per kenpom this is zamir AV visic versus tomislav AV visich the AV Visage Brothers uh get a chance to actually face off in college which is one of the cooler things I’ve ever seen we’ve seen both these teams be Stellar like when Illinois beat Little Rock by 58 points or like when Arkansas beat Maryland Eastern Shore by 64 points we’ve also seen these two teams struggle with uh quality opponents like when Arkansas lost to Baylor or like when Illinois lost to Alabama we’ve also seen them struggle in buy games Arkansas has been in a bunch of battles Illinois was in not a dog fight but a much closer game than it should have been with Oakland so I don’t know we’ve seen like three different versions of both of these teams show up and this is definitely a big opportunity game for both coaches to kind of Silence the doubters a little bit with these teams what are you expecting in Illinois vers Arkansas yeah it’s going to be very interesting to see kind of which players which team which coaches like kind of take advantage of this opportunity because right now like you stated we have this Arkansas against good teams Arkansas against Bad teams Illinois against good teams Illinois against Bad teams right and the the results reflect that Illinois hasn’t beaten a good team um Arkansas hasn’t done the same on the other side so uh it’s G to be intriguing to see how it how it plays out uh I it’s I’m still in shock as I look at Kemp pal Illinois paage and they’re a top 25 defense I can’t I can’t put two and two together with how they can’t guard third graders um but to me it’s going to be intriguing to see you know the the big matchup is one that uh strikes me is like what is Big T gonna do against Arkansas’s bigs uh if Arkansas bigs are healthy like a a physical big like Jonas ad do or playing against his brother seeing what he’s going to do in that spot and then like what is Illinois’s answer going to be for the Speedy athletic Adu theier which is I never thought I would say that in my life but Adu theier has been incredible this season and they have really good guard play uh with with freshman Boogie flan so it’s going to be it’s going to be interesting to see who kind of steps up in this case um uh in the in the match especially at the point guard spot I think with kasparis and Boogie flann yeah so the Illinois defense I think is actually improved which feels crazy to say out loud but like I at least semi buy that Arkansas’s defense has been really good this year for what it’s worth seventh best defense in the country part of that’s oppos or opponent competition level but part of it I think they got some good Defenders like adut theier is a great defender Boogie flan can be disruptive so I don’t know it’ll be interesting John L Davis the fa transfer heavily involved for Arkansas um he’s probably been one of the not only but maybe the loudest guy on Arkansas that has struggled this year how how are you feeling about him are you worried about him right now uh yeah I’m I’m starting to get worried about him um I also am starting to think like maybe Cal needs to Pivot away from johnell like I I I I understand johnell is going to be a it should be an integral part of this team but given his play I mean I know it was against Maryland Eastern Shore but Carter Knox looked really good in the last game offensively so like maybe there’s a shift to go to him more um and away from John L until John L maybe is fully healthy which I I I’m assuming he’s not right now given his play cartero looked great offensively last game he’s looked horrible offensively before that though yeah is it just a Maryland Eastern Shore case I don’t know he had 21 against Maryland Eastern Shore he had 13 in the five games before that he’s played double digit minutes every single game so I don’t know he’s he kind of the guy I think like you would Circle and if he if he beats you then you’re like oh well he’s shooting 177% from three on the season um no a guy who’s not shooting 17% from three on the season will Riley that’s a freshman shooting 55% from three on the season uh what do you think like like this is like a freshman heavy battle right where does Boogie flan fit in the mix with Illinois star newcomers I think I’d go man that’s would you rather have Boogie or casparis I think I rather have Boogie really I think so yeah I need to see a what well what conspirac am I getting too by the way I have a choice um no I think casparis gets to choose what he is every game if I get the kasparis that I got last game uh the the tech kasparis the aggressive kasparis taking shots kasparis then I I’m probably taking him one Boogie two will Riley three okay boogie has been incredible this season I feel like he’s been less talked about than most great freshman just because people are kind of out on Cal but he’s shooting 48% from three he’s really good from two-point range he’s had at least 12 points in every game at least 16 points in the other five games uh made two threes or more in five straight games six assists seven assists seven assists seven assists like he’s a doit all guy he looks the part of a lottery pick to me yeah if he if he was bigger and more explosive we’d be talking like certified number one pick yeah um so let’s talk front Court let’s talk the Brothers Big T’s been better than big Z this year nobody really saw that coming except maybe some Illinois fans that will claim they did um that wasn’t the Scout big Z’s also been good big Z has games of H 14- six 10 and three 15 and five 19 and two now he’s not rebounding as you can tell but uh three blocks two blocks three blocks five blocks he’s a very good rim protector he’s hitting threes he had a game with six threes against Troy and he’s been in double figures almost every game like it’s interesting big Z is the shot blocker Big T is the rebounder but they’re both stretch bigs that can really fill it up offensively like just point blank who do you think the better player is in my heart of hearts I believe that big Z is the better player I think Big T is the more consistent play player maybe that’s a cop out you think big Z is the better player in your heart of hearts I think big in the Heart of heart I think big Z is the better player yes I think I disagree with that yeah I would expect people to yeah um yeah I don’t know I that seems like a hot take from you Big T’s been significantly better right I think yeah I I mean but the thing is though like you still have is isn’t it kind of like you know how you look at Michigan and you’re like oh their best is like really really good you know with their hitting shots if you’re getting your best zanam performance and your best Big T performance are you taking big Z or is that fair to do in this case when you’re doing individual like who would you rather have I mean big Z’s loudest moments have been insane but Big T’s have too right like they’re both kind of just good Unstoppable offensive monsters I guess the interesting thing is like big Z’s onir can actually guard he’s actually a good shot blocker so is that going to be the difference here because I I don’t feel like T can guard Z at all no I don’t I don’t think he can guard him at all uh either and the one thing I would look for is how that Arkansas front court is going to be physicality wise because I think that Big T is susceptible to being you know kind of bullied down low a little bit even though he is a big figure I think he he he’s susceptible to being to being at least on the defensive end punked a little bit offens L I think his ability to shoot the ball is going to keep other front courts you know off balance and things like that but uh I wonder defensively if he’ll be able to hold up against physical bigs yeah is it a conspiracy if I say that I think both guys are going to go off against each other maybe there’s like a handshake agreement of like let’s both get 30 in this game well I’m actually I’m I’m approaching this game as I will be making a formal decision on who the better brother is after this game so Legacy are at stake this is a legacy of Visage game do either of these guys strike you as the type of competitors to like go at their brother in this moment because I do feel like that’s kind of been missing from both of their games I don’t think either of the guys really had that no maybe as a default the the actual development here is casparis takes it personal like why why are yall focused on the big Europeans a European’s gonna decide this basketball game hot take wow and it’s gonna be sparis yes yeahh all right if you Sim this game 10 times who wins it and how many times I say Illinois wins seven out of 10 times I I think that Illinois is the better basketball team in this game the metric show that I think I agree outside of Boogie fland and the DU theier I don’t know that they Arkansas has many guys Illinois would really want like John L would play Big Z I don’t think they’d want over Big T but I don’t know like will Riley would start on Arkansas casparis would start on Arkansas Rick house is iffy probably uh Big T I think would start over big Z so we’ll see it’ll be interesting uh Ken pal has this line at Illinois by two 76 to 74 what’s your prediction o I’m gonna go with I think I’m gonna go Illinois to win this basketball [Music] game I think it’s going to be a well for some reason I believe that it could be a shootout but I don’t know if Arkansas’s offense necessarily invites you know at least metrically invites that uh I’ll go with Illinois to win this game 80-73 do you smell that uh oh what is it I spell that what is it I smell a one-trick pony who’s the pony I smell a John caliper team that is only worth a damn if their freshman are better than the other team’s players I think Illinois has the better players I think Illinois has the better freshman cart I think Illinois I think Illinois blows Arkansas out in this game o so if that’s the case are we we approaching that as this is a bad loss for Illinois I’m saying Illinois wins I’m saying if the if Illinois loses this game then is the approach we’re taking is that this is a bad loss is a game they should win Arkansas’s good I just
